Bruce Wayne, his two young sons, and Barbra Gordon were at an old friend of Bruce's wedding day. Veronica tossed the flowers and was caught by a young blond haired woman.
"Excuse me miss, can we get a shot of you and the man who caught the garter." A photographer said to her. The man who caught the garter was none other than Bruce. The two then got together for a quick picture.
"I hate these things." Bruce told the woman.
"Me too. And with pantyhose who needs them anymore."
"Uhh…I meant these huge formal affairs."
"I know what you meant. I was just trying to make you laugh. You seem so grim." Bruce laughed and rolled him eyes.
"I've heard that one before."
"Bruce! I've seen you've met Michal's friend Susan." Veronica said coming over.
"I have, and if friends are an indication, you've made an excellent choice Veronica." Bruce said.
"Yes I think number four will be the charm. I would have introduced you sooner but it was all so sudden."
"A two week courtship. Why would you call that so sudden?"
"It was chemistry Bruce." Michal said.
"Maybe someday it will happen to you." She said.
"Come on Veronica, you know me."
"Miss Veronica!" a little voice was heard.
"Hi Dickie. You are just getting so big." She said making Dick laugh.
"I drew this for you." Dick said handing her a picture of two stick figures; one of which had flowers in her hand and wore a triangle shaped dress.
"Oh Dickie it's beautiful. I'm going to hang it up on my wall when I get home." That made Dick smile. "Daddy can I have some cake please?" Dick asked.
"Of course you can. Ask Tim to help you."
"Ok." Dick said and went over towards the food table.
"Sweet kid. Is he yours?" Susan asked.
"Yes, but not biologically though. Dick's parents were killed a few months ago."
"Poor thing. He's so young."
"Yes, but he's been doing better. He and my other adopted son Tim take good care of him." Bruce told Susan. Suddenly the music started playing. "Would you care to dance?" Bruce asked.
"I'd love to." Susan said and started dancing with Bruce.
Meanwhile Barbra, Tim, and Dick were at the food table watching everyone dance.
"Ugg, I hate slow dancing." Tim said digging in to a slice of cake.
"You might find it useful someday." Barbra said then looking at Tim with icing all over his face. "Then again maybe not. Come on Dick, dance with me." She said and held Dick while she danced with him. Suddenly a car horn was beeping from the parking lot.
"There's our ride. Come on Dickie. See you Barb. Tim said stealing Dick from Barbra and pulling him towards the limo. "You came just in time." Tim told Alfred.
"For you perhaps but apparently not for Master Bruce." Alfred said looking over to see Bruce still dancing with Susan.
"I bet life's hard having to raise two boys all by yourself." Susan said.
"I'll admit it has its ups and downs but those two boys are my greatest joy. I don't know where I'd do without them."
"It must be wonderful. I've always wanted to be a mother but never found the right person. I love kids and want the best things for them."
"That's how I feel about Tim and Dick. They're the most important things in my life."
"Hey…did you hear me? I said those four guys we've been looking for just went into that store down there." Tim now Robin said onto of a building.
"I heard you." Batman said harshly and grabbled down. When they got down there, one man was about to punch the sales guy out. Batman punched him just in time as Robin kicked another guy out. Then the third man then held a gun at the salesperson's head.
"I got me a hostage and we're getting out of here." With the man looking at Robin, Batman was able to get the gun out his hand and get the salesperson to safety. Suddenly Robin was about to throw a baterang at Batman, but he ducked out of the way hitting the fourth man.
"I said there were four remember? Four!" Robin said and walked out of pawn shop. After their last patrol stop, Batman dropped Robin off and went back out. "That was weird."
"What sir?" Alfred asked taking Robin's cape off."
"Bruce has been acting weird Alfred."
"With him how can anyone tell?"
"Believe me, I know."
"Where do you suppose he went?"
"Who knows?"

"Tim, Dick, come down here please." Bruce called the next morning. The two brothers came and joined their guardian in the living room. "I need to talk to you boys about something very serious. Over the past few weeks, the pain of my parents' death has been getting lighter. It's still their but I don't fell as sad as I use to. There's a new feeling now; a lightness of some sort."
"It's called happiness." Tim said.
"Whatever it is, I like it. And I also think I know where it's coming from. Boys…what do you think of Susan?"
"I like her. She's nice to me."
"She's really smart too. She's helped me with my homework loads of times." Tim said.
"I'm glad to hear that. Now how would you boys feel if I married her?"
"What?!" Tim and Dick asked in shock.
"She's perfect in every way. And the most important thing is you get alone with her good. Now let me make one think clear. If I do marry her that will not change a single thing of the way I feel about you two. The two of you being happy is the most important thing in my life."
"So you would still love us?" Dick asked.
"Of course I would still love you. I love you both very very much. Susan also has feelings for you. She would do anything for you boys. That's why I'm going to ask her to marry me. And Susan will love you almost as much as I love you." He told Dick.
"So does that mean she will be our new mommy?"
"Yes, but it's ok if you need time. This is all happening so sudden."
"Ok daddy!"
"Tim?"
"Well…I guess it would be nice to have a mom again."
"YAAAYYY!" Dick cheered. Bruce then went over to give his sons a warm hug.

One week after the proposal, Bruce Wayne was now a married man. "A toast to Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Wayne. May you always be as happy as you are right now." A man said.
"So much like a fairytale; except for one thing." Susan said.
"What's that?"
"Veronica, the person who introduced us didn't show us."
"Well you know Ronnie." Bruce said.
"Do you mind if I go dancing with Dick? I want to get to know him better."
"Be my guest." Susan got up from her chair and went over to Dick.
"Would you like to dance with your new mommy?" She asked Dick. Dick nodded excitedly and got up to dance with his mother.
"Very nice choice Bruce." Lucius said talking to Bruce.
"Thanks, she's just what the boys and I need."
"So where are you headed for the honeymoon?
"We've chartered a yacht with some other newlyweds."
"So how are you going to do…?"
"I've decided I'm not going to do it anymore. I've passed it on to the others."
"I see."
Bat-transition
It had been exactly one week since the marriage and things were doing fine. Bruce and Susan had planned to go on the honeymoon a little later than planned just to make sure the boys were settling in.
"I was just coming to say goodnight." Bruce said walking in to Dick's room. Susan was helping get his pajamas on and ready for bed.
"You're leaving."
"Sorry kiddo. I've got a late meeting."
"Alright, night daddy." Dick said giving him a hug goodbye.
"Goodnight baby. I'll see you in the morning." Bruce said kissing him.
"Try not to be so late." Susan said kissing him.
"I'll try." Bruce said and walked out the door. Bruce then had to sit through a very boring meeting wishing he was with Susan and the boys. Just then Bruce's secretary walked in.
"I'm sorry to interrupt but you have a call Mr. Wayne."
"I do? Who is it?"
"It's your son. He says it's an emergency." Bruce excused himself from the meeting and went to his office to answer the phone.
"Tim? Is everything alright?"
"NO! It's Susan! Something's wrong; something terrible!"
"What Tim?! Tell me!"
"You're not gonna believe me but…"
"But what?! Tim?!" Suddenly a gasp was heard on the other line.
"No! Leave him alone! Dick run!" Tim shouted while Dick was crying in the background and screaming.
"Hello?! Tim?! TIMOTHY!" Bruce shouted into the phone.
"We're sorry. Your call has been disconnected." The annoying voice on the phone said. Bruce hung up scared to death.
"Bruce what's wrong?" Lucius asked.
"The boys are in trouble. I have to go."
"Go on. I can take over the meeting."
"Thanks Lucius." Bruce said and rushed out to the car. He got to Wayne Manor in less than five minutes when it would normally take ten minutes. Bruce jumped out of the car and ran to the door. Turning the knob, Bruce was surprised that the door was locked. Quickly he pulled out his keys and unlocked the door. Then he barged in and started looking for his sons.
"Tim! Dick! Where are you?!" He called. Finally he reached the stairs and saw them both unconscious at the bottom. "Tim! Dick!" He yelled and ran towards them. Both boys had bruises all over them and Tim looked like he was protecting Dick from something. "Come on Boys! Wake up!" Bruce examined the bruises and could faintly make out a handprint. He then proceeded to check the boys' pulse.
"Oh my god! Tim! Dickie!" Susan said from the top of the stairs and ran down towards them. "What happened?!" She asked while stroking Dick's hair.
"I was going to ask you that." Bruce said.
"I don't know. The boys were in the living room playing. I was just about to tell them it was bedtime when I heard a noise from upstairs. I went upstairs to investigate and told the boys to stay down here. And now…" Susan then started breathing heavy but did not cry.
"Call an ambulance! Quickly!" Bruce said and Susan ran for the phone.
Bat-transition
Bruce and Susan got to the hospital but we not allowed to see the boys yet.
"Master Bruce!" Someone called from the door. Alfred came running in with a basket. "What happened to the young masters?"
"We don't know; Alfred where have you been?"
"I had to go out and get a few things. If only I had been there…"
"Don't blame yourself Alfred." Bruce said.
"I just don't understand how that person or thing could have got in." Alfred said.
"Bruce?" An old friend of Bruce's called.
"How are they Leslie?" Bruce asked.
"Well both boys have suffered from multiple bruising. Thankfully we've been able to treat all of them."
"Thank goodness." Susan said.
"They're still unconscious but we hope they'll regain consciousness in a few hours. You may go see them if you like."
"Thank you Leslie." Susan said and walked to where the boys where along with Alfred.
"What exactly happened?' Leslie asked when they were gone.
"I don't know; but I intend to find out." Bruce said and walked to the boys' rooms.
"Momma's here now sweetheart." Bruce heard when he walked in. "Bruce, what are we going to do about the honeymoon? What about the boys?"
"I'm going to hire some security guards to keep an eye on them while they are here."
"I will keep an eye on the young master while you two are gone. Go and enjoy yourselves." Alfred said.
"I just can't leave them alone." Susan said.
"Don't worry. We can trust Alfred." Bruce said kissing her.
Bat-transition
The next day Susan and Bruce had gotten on the yacht and went on their honeymoon." Bruce had decided to go on the deck and get some fresh air and talk to some other billionaires.
"…I was always afraid a relationship would require too much time. But with Susan it's all been so effortless. Not only that but she gets alone with the boys so well."
"Same with Marie. I feel like I'm the luckiest man in the world when I look into those big green eyes of hers."
"Christine's eyes are green too." 'That's a major coincident. Susan and Michal's eyes are green as well.' Bruce thought.
"Never thought I'd fine someone who likes everything in its place like I do."
"That's nothing. I hate spending money, but Marie hates spending money too. She's just perfect." Suddenly Bruce snuck out of the conversation and started thinking. 'No one in this world could be that perfect; Let alone four.' Bruce then started thinking about what happened with the boys. 'Wait, when I went to find the boys the door was locked. Alfred always locks the door and windows whenever he goes out for the boys' protection. There was no way anyone could get in the house unless…' Then it hit. Susan was the only one in the house at the time of the incident. 'Also there were handprints on the boys. And the phone call.
"It's Susan! Something's wrong; Something terrible!" Bruce clenched his fists and went to talk to his 'wife.' Bruce walked in to Susan decorating the place.
"Susan, what were you doing while the boys were downstairs during the accident?" Bruce asked suddenly.
"I told you I went to see what made the noise upstairs. Someone obviously got in the house."
"I don't think so. When the boys first came to live with me, I had Alfred install a type of security that would lock all doors and windows instantly. There's no possible way anyone could get in or out. Funny thing is that Alfred always uses the security system whenever he or myself is not with the boys." Susan started getting nervous. "So I ask again. What were you doing while the boys were downstairs during the accident?"
"Why are you interrogating me like this?"
"You were the only one with the boys at the time of the accident. And as I told you, no one could get in or out of the house. The security system has a feature that if someone opens a window or door without a key, alarms go off and alerts me and Alfred about it."
"What are you talking about?"
"The alarm was set and I got no notifications. Which leaves you; the only person with the boys when Tim called me." Susan then started laughing.
"You're just being silly. I would never hurt the boys." Bruce gave her a glare that was very close to Batman's. Susan then started walking away but Bruce grabbed her arm.
"You're not leaving this cabin until you tell me. As I've told you, those two boys are the most important things in my life; and anyone that hurts them answers to me. So tell me exactly what happened?" Susan then started sweating green slime. Bruce went wide-eyed and took some off as she ran off. "What are you?" Bruce asked. Susan turned around and half of her face was now green.
"Why Bruce, I'm your wife." She said and green vines shot from her dress wrapping themselves around Bruce.
"This is Poison Ivy's work isn't it? She must have grown you in her lap and coated you with those pheromones she uses."
"The pheromones were to get your attention, but the rest was all me; the perfect wife and mother. So giving and so understanding.
"I should have known. It was all too easy." Bruce said struggling to get free.
"Relationships aren't supposed to be easy. Even I know that and I'm just a vegetable.
"So this is why Tim called me. You hurt and hit my boys!" Bruce said angrily.
"Dick noticed my sweat was green. He was getting suspicious along with dear Tim, so I had to do something."
"You could have killed them!" Bruce shouted.
"That was the point. After a few days, there would have to be some sort of accident. But even if you did die, the money wouldn't go to me. So I had to get rid of your heirs somehow." Bruce was very angry but suddenly the boat shake making Susan lose her balance. Bruce hit the bed and electrocuted her with the lamp. Susan screamed and fell to the floor releasing her grip on Bruce. Finally he got free and ran out of the cabin. Then Susan tried to pull him back in but Bruce managed to shut the door. To stop her from getting out, Bruce held a latter in placed it against the door. "Let me out of here! How dare you treat your wife this way!" She said. 'How dare you treat my sons that way.' Bruce said and ran to the upper deck where Poison Ivy was.
"…Now I know you all are thinking who's going to take care of my vast industrial complex. The answer is your mates. I've worked very hard on them; Perfect heirs and heiresses. Once they have your fortunes, I'll have your fortunes." Suddenly the boat shook again. Time to disembark." She said and started boarding her creations. "Wait, where's Susan Wayne?" No one answered. "Find her!" Suddenly, Batman appeared with Batgirl and started spraying the vegetables with an antidote. Batgirl ordered Batgirl to get the others out while he dealt with Ivy. All of a sudden the ship broke into two. Batman called the Bat-plane and was about to jump in when Poison Ivy screamed "Help me." Batman tried to reach for her but he went underwater before he could. Finally he jumped in the Bat-plane just as the ship sank with his 'wife.' Before Batman then left just after he tossed his ring into the water.
Bruce came back to Gotham Hospital and went to check on the boys.
"Bruce." Leslie said. "They've been asking for you." Bruce smiled and went to the room. The security guard let Bruce through and went in to see Tim sitting with Dick.
"Daddy!" Dick screamed.
"Hi boys. Are you two ok?" They both nodded.
"Bruce, Susan's a…"
"I know Tim. I know. I'm so sorry that happened. If only I knew."
"You didn't know. It's ok." Tim said.
"Do you remember what happened?"
"I do. Mom-I mean Susan was reading me a bedtime story."
"Read this one mommy."
"Again? Birdy I read you that one last night."
"It's my favorite."
"Alright sweetie." Susan said and laid down on the bed with Dick. "…so the big bird took care of the little bird and lived happily ever after."
"I love that story."
"Time for bed sweetheart."Susan said and began to tuck him in.
"Night birdy." Tim said. Suddenly Dick noticed Susan was starting to sweat green slime. Dick put his hand up to touch the slime but Susan gasped and moved away from Dick.
"What the heck." Tim said looking at the green stuff. "What are you?" Tim asked.
"Why Timothy, I'm your mother." She said and shot out green vines at the boys.
"Move!" Tim said pushing his brother out of the way. The two then got up and ran out the room. "Hurry!" Tim said running downstairs and grabbing the phone.
"I'm Tim Wayne. I need to speak to Bruce Wayne right away." After a few minutes Bruce came on the line.
"Tim? Is everything alright?"
"NO! It's Susan! Something's wrong; something terrible!"
"What Tim?! Tell me!"
"You're not gonna believe me but…"
"But what?! Tim?!" Suddenly Susan came in and grabbed Dick.
"No! Leave him alone! Dick run!" Tim said dropping the phone and running towards Susan. Suddenly she let go of Dick and grabbed Tim instead.
"What did you tell him about me?" She asked.
"Nothing! I swear!" Tim said.
"LIER!" Susan shouted and hit Dick's face causing him to fall to the floor. Tim grabbed Dick's wrist again and ran. The boys then was about to run upstairs when Susan used her vines to wrap themselves around and slammed them to the ground making them unconscious.
"Then we wolk up about an hour ago."
"It was scary."
"I'm sorry she wasn't a real mommy." Dick said.
"That's alright kiddo. I've got all I need right here." Bruce said hugging them.
Well what do you think? Sorry if the ending was a little sucky. It seemed better in my head. Anyway, if I get some more reviews, I'll update Sins of a Father.
