Chapter Sixteen:
Tori's POV:
I have butterflies in my stomach and I feel dizzy, dizzy with happiness. In just a few short hours I will be walking down the aisle and promising to love Jade West forever. When I think about how far we've come from the day we first met. That day was almost a lifetime ago now, it was my first official day as a Hollywood Arts student and to say we didn't get off to a good start is a major understatement. I was just as nervous as I am now and I spilt my coffee on Beck. He was her boyfriend at the time and she was not happy! From that day on Jade made it her mission to terrorize me despite how much I still tried to be her friend.
I don't think we would have come this far if it hadn't been for our scheme to con all of our friends and family into coming to our fake wedding which of course has now turned into a very real wedding. As I look back on our progress as enemies, friends and now we are a couple. I'm the happiest I've ever been when I'm with her, which is something I would have found hard to believe a year ago.
"Are you ready, honey?" Mom pokes her head through my old bedroom door. I gesture for her to come in with a nod.
"Yeah… I'm just so nervous mom" I admit, looking in the mirror to check my hair for what feels like the millionth time.
"You look beautiful Tori and I know that you and Jade will be as happy as your father and I were when we were married" Mom assured me, I gave her a small smile but my mind couldn't help but wonder how today would turn out. Would we get as far as the church and change our minds? Would some sort of crisis go on stopping us from getting married? Or would everything simply go as we'd planned? The whole thing was making me feel nauseous.
"Thanks mom. I hope you're right" I said. Trina came bounding in wearing the bridesmaids dress I'd picked out for her. It was a shade of dark purple with little flecks of glitter and sequins decorating the skirt. It was a short skater style dress. Her hair was pinned back with butterfly clips and there was more glitter decorating her long brunette curls.
"Wow Tori. You look amazing!" Trina said. I blushed, I wasn't so sure. My long hair was tied up in a French plait. I had a sparkly tiara, which was my something borrowed from my mum, I had a veil attached to it but it was tucked behind my head. My wedding dress was white with butterflies making up the straps of the dress. The bodice and skirt were both made out of lace. There was a satin underskirt, whilst the lace material of the dress was made up of flowers and butterflies. It was kind of understated but I liked how it almost matched the bridesmaid dresses I had picked out.
"I don't know." I said feeling unsure of myself.
"Tori I'd tell you if you looked stupid… and you don't…" Trina assured me. I smile again and start to lead the way downstairs where my father is waiting with Andre. They are both wearing matching suits with dark purple bows.
"So… will I do?" I ask. Andre and my father have been staring at me in amazement, and for a second, I think I see tears in their eyes.
"You are beautiful, Tori" Dad said as he gave me a hug.
"Are you ready to become Jade West's wife?" Andre asked.
"As I'll ever be" I said.
When we got to the church Jade and Cat were already there. Jade and I each have a dressing room of our own and waiting in mine when we get there is Cat. She's wearing a dark green bridesmaids dress that is the same as Trina's just a different colour. The idea was Jades to signify Jade's maid of honour and mine.
"Hi Tori. You look great" Cat said happily. "Jade wanted me to give you this" Cat said as she handed me a letter and a jewellery box.
"Aw what is it?" I asked shaking the box. Cat giggled and shrugged her shoulders.
"You have to open it, Tor" Cat laughed. I decided to read the letter first.
'Dear Vega... Today has finally arrived, the day that you become my wife and I couldn't be happier if I tried but I know me and I know there are going to be times where I become hard to deal with and well a bit of a grunch! So this is a little something for you to have and look at whenever I've become difficult... and to remind you of how much I love you'.
I was touched by her words and I couldn't wait to open the box, inside I found a gold heart shaped locket with the letters V + W engraved on the outside. Inside the locket was a picture of Jade on one side and me on the other.
"It's beautiful" I said to Cat. Cat giggled.
"I knew you'd like it, I helped her pick it out!" Cat exclaimed happily.
"It's so unexpected" I said happily. Someone knocks on the door.
"Come in" I say. My dad walks into the room.
"It's nearly time, Tori. Cat You'd better go join Trina" Dad said. Cat skipped happily out of the door.
"I just can't believe my baby is getting married today!" My dad said, I smiled.
"Well it's true" I said. "Will you help me with this dad?" I asked handing him the necklace Jade gave me, knowing full well that I will never take it off.
"Sure".
Andre plays the song he and I wrote about Jade back when he had a crush on her all those years ago as I walk down the aisle, Jade walks down after me and when we are finally at the altar we hold each others hands.
"We are gathered here today to celebrate the love that Tori Vega and Jade West share" Reverend Charles announced to our guests. I beamed at Jade. Jade's dress was similar to mine except instead of butterflies and flowers it was just plan lace and she hand long sleeves. The skirt of her dress had a slit to the side of it showing of her long legs, she took my breath away and I couldn't believe it was me she loved.
I held the necklace she gave me to show her I was wearing it.
"I love it Jade, you have good taste" I said.
"I know... well Cat did help" Jade said.
"If anyone here has any reason why these two shouldn't be married, please say so now or forever hold their peace" reverend Charles said.
A/N: So there you have it, here is the start of their wedding day. I think this may be a three part wedding just because I imagine a lot happening. I have considered your suggestions from the previous chapter and I will do my best to add them in when possible please feel free to give me more ideas for the reception, the ceremony and any other characters you'd like to appear. Thank-you for reading and please write a review to let me know what you thought.
