Meanwhile, Isabelle was looking for Nicole. She walked to her bedroom and opened the door a little. She looked toward the bed to see Nicole laying her head on Alec's chest as he sat up against her headboard. He looked down at her and moved her hair away from her forehead. She looked up at him and smiled lovingly.

"You okay?" Alec asked.

"I'm fine. A little tired but, I'm okay." Nicole said.

Alec kissed her forehead just as he had remembered about the gift he had gotten for her. He leaned over the side of the bed and picked up his pants off the floor. He took out a black velvet box from the front pocket and sat back next to her.

"I bought this for you." Alec said.

He opened the box in front of her and she looked down at her gift. She gasped when she saw the charm bracelet. It was made of sterling silver w/ different charms that represented each person she had met since she had moved to the Institute. There was a sword charm for Jace, A paintbrush for Clary, a star charm for Isabelle and a heart charm that represented Alec. There was also a wand charm for Magnus. He took the bracelet out of the box and put around his wrist.

"It's beautiful. Thank you." Nicole said.

Isabelle closed the door and smiled at the thought of her brother being happy. A few minutes later after she left, Alec came out of Nicky's room in his clothes and went down to the library. He grabbed a book off the shelf and sat down in one of the armchairs. Meanwhile, Jace was looking for Alec. He walked past his sister's room to see her asleep in her bed. He walked over to her and pulled the blanket up over her shoulder as he kissed her cheek. Jace looked out the corner of his eye and saw a brand-new silver bracelet on his sister's wrist. He remembered seeing it in Alec's room. He picked up the box it came in to see an inscription in it.

"~To my loving girlfriend +angel. Love, Alec.~"

Jace walked out of her room just as Isabelle walked out of her room. She could tell by the look on his face that he just found out about Alec and Nicole. Later on, that day, Nicole was in her room sitting at her vanity. She took out a small remote and pointed at her stereo and turned on one of her mix CDs. She took her hair down and opened her silver treasure box. She took out her silver hairbrush and started brushing out her hair. As she ran her brush thru her hair, she looked in her mirror to see her brother standing in her doorway. She gestured for him to come into the room before she opened the drawer on her vanity.

"Can we talk for a minute sis?" Jace asked as he sat down on her bed.

"Sure." Nicole said. "What do you want to talk about?" She asked.

"Why are you dating Alec?" Jace asked.

"Is there a problem with Alec?" Nicole asked as she opened her journal.

"There's nothing wrong w/ him. I just don't want my sister or my best friend to get their hearts broken." Jace said.

Nicole got up and walked over to her brother. She sat down in front of him and took his hands in hers.

"I appreciate your concern big bro, but just promise me you won't hurt him." Nicole said.

"Why would I hurt Alec?" Jace asked.

Because when we first started dating, he was scared that you would kill him if you found out about us dating." Nicole said.

Jace started snickering as he shook his head a bit. After talking with his sister, he stood up and gave her a kiss on the forehead. He went down to the library and went over to the piano. Meanwhile, Nicole walked over to the music stand by her window and took out her violin. She switched her CDs to her piano CD before setting her violin on her neck and started to play a song she knew. Clary walked past Nicole's room to hear a violin. She stopped in the doorway to see Nicole standing in front of a music stand playing a violin. That night, Nicole was sitting in front of her window looking out at the stars. As she was sitting there, she saw Simon's reflection in the window.

"Hey Nicole." Simon said.

"Hi." She said. "Is there something you needed Simon?" She asked.

"I was wondering if you have seen Clary?" Simon asked.

"No." Nicole said as she moved some of her hair behind her ear.

Simon saw an angel wing earring dangling from her ear.

"Is that an angel wing earring?" Simon asked.

"Yeah. Jace bought me a pair after I arrived here." Nicole said.

"Nicole?" She heard Alec say.

Simon turned around to see Alec in the doorway. She saw his hand start to twitch at the sight of Simon in her room and shook her head a little.

"Alec." Nicole said to get his attention.

He looked at her and she shook her head at him. Simon walked out of her room and closed the door.
