No One: Vanellope always changes/adapts/makes new plans when events change or things don't go her way, that's why there seems to be an endless amount of them, I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter, as for Lodhi's ability to run away with races, well you'll have to read to find out just how fast he is
Gloyd's Only Fan: Yes I'm back, I'm glad you like my OCs, I won't stop Minty, Crumbelina and Taffyta from doing something dumb because it would ruin the story
That Guy: Oh man I knew this was gonna come…first off NASCAR and F1 are 2 very different racing sports, I don't get involved in the stupid debate over which is better because F1 cars have more in common with a god damn fighter jet than an automobile…secondly you can't say Vettel only wins because of his car…or else the same would apply to Lewis Hamilton, and to every other F1 champion…I'm sick of hearing that because you can have the best car on the grid…but if the guy driving it sucks…he won't win…sure Vettel has been outplayed by Lewis Hamilton but he is one of the drivers of his generation the others being Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso…thirdly Max Verstappen isn't a reckless kid anymore…I'll admit he was during his first season…but he's matured and is one of the better drivers on the grid…which is why when the big 3 f Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel and Fernando Alonso retire from F1 I'm betting on Max becoming one of if not the top driver….4 Gilles Villeneuve was fast and was talented…look up some of the cars Ferrari put out during his time and you'll see why he didn't win much…plus to be without a championship but still have your name mentioned in the same breath as legends such as Jim Clark, Nigel Mansell, Juan Manuel Fangio, Michael Schumacher, Ayrton Senna (somewhat), Alain Prost, Jackie Stewart and Nikki Lauda it means you were good….fourth I highly doubt you know more about F1 than me I can tell just from your review you were trying to get me pissed off about this and that…fifth just because another author has an OC modelled after legends of a racing series it doesn't mean anyone doing the same stole the damn idea…

But I decided to go with 1 race a chapter and go more in depth with the events in between each
Ch.17 Race 1: Not A Bunch Of Rookies
(Where we left off)
The 5 red lights would turn off and the racers would slam the gas
Sticky's engine would blow and Swizzle would spin his tires leaving them idle on the track
Nougetsia and Citrusella would easily get around Swizzle
Lodhi would swerve to the right to avoid Sticky then left to avoid Swizzle and would pass Torvald who'd clip the wall by swerving to far to the right to avoid Swizzle
Marcy, Akio, Annie and Phipps would easily pass the 2 idle racers as Herschel would lead Vanellope and Taffyta into turn 1
Swizzle would shake his head as he'd take off already well behind the rest. "For fuck sakes of course, I spin my tires…"
Sticky would get out of her kart feeling disappointed with a hint of annoyance and frustration. "First race of the day and my engines blows…great start to the day…"
Her kart would quickly be taken off the track as she walks into the pit lane to watch the rest of the race
Herschel and Vanellope would hug the right side going into turn 2
Taffyta having gotten greedy would've used way too much of the left side and would lose 3rd to Adorabeezle going through the turn
"That's bullshit…" She'd mutter
Snowanna and Minty would swap places as the green racer would make the same mistake Taffyta made
Vanellope would snatch the lead from Herschel as they'd head towards the slow turn 3
She'd be too focus on Herschel and would miss her braking point and would go way off onto the running area
She'd sigh. "That's embarrassing…"
Herschel would lock up losing the lead to Adorabeezle and 2nd to Jubileena
"Thanks for the place Herschel…" Adorabeezle would chuckle as Herschel would line up behind Jubileena
Candlehead would lock up conceding her spot to Crumbelina but would be able to slam the door on Snowanna
Behind them Nougetsia would oversteer and slide onto the runoff falling behind Lodhi, Torvald, Marcy, Annie, Akio and Phipps
She'd check her mirrors to see Swizzle entering the turn. "He's no threat…" She'd tell herself
Vanellope would get back on the track having gone from 1st to 18th in 1 turn
She'd hit her steering wheel
Adorabeezle, Jubileena and Herschel would exit the turn and head towards the slowest turn on the track turn 4
All 3 would hug the right side as Jubileena and Herschel would apply the brakes too early allowing Adorabeezle to get away as she braked as late as she deemed possible
Minty would go into the turn too fast and would go spinning off into the barrier causing her front right wheel to break off ending her race
She'd get out of her kart and throw her helmet
Lodhi would exit the turn full speed passing Citrusella who hit the gas too late and would steal the left line from Rancis going through turn 5
Lodhi would get by the Brit exiting the turn
Adorabeezle would lead the race going down the 1st straight as she'd see sugar cubes all over the straight
"Looks like there's enough to go around…" She'd state through her microphone
Everyone except Candlehead and Swizzle who got robbed by Crumbelina and Vanellope would get sugar cubes
They'd continue down the straight as the announcer would shout. "BARRAGE!"
Everyone would look behind them to see the multi-rocket launcher appear on the back of Marcy's kart
"EXPLOSIVES!" They'd also see Phipps throwing one of his explosives up and catching it
"MINES!" Akio would hold up one of his mines looking at it for a few moments
"Vanellope...I see you have Sweet Seekers…" Annie would state
"Wait…how do you know that?" Snowanna would ask
"Oh…because…-announcer would shout-…SWIPE…"
The Sweet Seeker would appear on Annie's kart as Vanellope would look at her empty item slot on her dashboard
Annie would chuckle. "Thanks Princess…"
Vanellope would respond in a friendly tone. "Just use it right…that's all I ask…"
Torvald would use the speed boost she picked up to blast all the way into first as Annie, Akio, Phipps and Marcy would turn their gaze to Lodhi
"Going to concede the place Lodhi?" Annie would chuckle
"Vait until ze next straight…"
"Fine…"
Snowanna would pass Candlehead who'd nervously check her mirrors and gulp
The leaders would hit the brakes a little heading into turn 6
Adorabeezle would turn in too early and would go over the curb and would spin back onto the track almost colliding with Jubileena before halting on the other side
She'd sigh and get back on the track right on Marcy's tail
Torvald would lead going into turn 7 Jubileena and Herschel almost right on top of her followed closely Taffyta and Crumbelina
She'd lead them through turn 8 and onto the 2nd straight
Herschel would overtake her almost immediately as Jubileena would pull up on her right and drag race her
Taffyta would drop some spikes behind her
"Sprinkle Spikes!" The announcer would shout
Annie would look ahead at Lodhi a few places ahead of her. "You said you'd concede your position Lodhi…"
"Oh, did I?"
The announcer would shout. "TANK!"
All eyes would turn to him as his kart would disappear in a cloud of smoke and the large super heavy Maus tank would come out of it
"Holy shit…" Crumbelina would state
Candlehead would look at her empty item slot then in her mirrors just in time to see Lodhi fire off a shot
She'd shriek as her kart would explode on impact
She'd teleport to the pit lane a hand over her heart breathing heavily
Rancis would use a speed boost to get by Lodhi
"Not on my vatch Rancis…" He'd fire a few shots from his machine gun hitting the back left tire of the kart destroying it and causing Rancis to spin off the track
Crumbelina would activate her powerup
"Cherry Bombs!" The announcer would shout
3 Cherry Bombs would spin around her acting like a shield
Lodhi would chuckle. "Zat vont be enough to save you my friend…" He'd fire off another shot that would take Crumbelina out as well
"She was shield by Cherry Bombs!" Sticky would yell through a headset she'd be wearing in the pit lane
"Zey can't stop somesing like zat…" Lodhi would respond
Marcy's missile launcher would aim upward in a slight arc
She'd see the leaders through a small screen on her steering wheel. "Careful…"
She'd fire the 6 missiles she had
Jubileena would look up at the sky and shriek
The missiles would hit their targets as Torvald, Jubileena and Taffyta would be teleported to the pit lane as Herschel would speed out of the smoke and dust his kart decked out in armor
"Intimidation!" The announcer would shout
"Smart move Aussie…" Lodhi would state as he'd fire a shot at Herschel
"That's not getting me…" Herschel would state with a smirk as the shot would bounce off his kart and hit Snowanna's front left tire causing her to spin off the track
Lodhi would disappear in a cloud of smoke and would reappear in his kart having deactivated his tank.
Phipps would grin. "Hey Lodhi…catch…" He'd toss a Thermal Imploder which would land on Lodhi's lap.
"Uh-oh…" He'd grab it and throw it
It would land in Snowanna's kart before exploding
She'd teleport to the pit lane. "Phipps…I was already out…" She'd say through her microphone
"Lodhi threw it at you! It wasn't me!"
"Sure, blame me…" Lodhi would state as he'd quickly gain on Herschel nearing the end of the straight
Akio would notice Nougetsia, Vanellope and Swizzle behind him and Phipps
He'd silently press a button on his steering wheel as 5 mines would drop from the back of his kart
Nougetsia and Vanellope would swerve and avoid them
Swizzle wouldn't be as lucky as he'd drive right over one blowing his right tire off and he'd go into a roll going over the other 4 mines as well
He'd come to a skidding halt and would look at the remnants of his kart
"This has been a great race…" He'd state sarcastically
Annie would aim her Sweet Seekers at Adorabeezle. "Hey Winterpop watch out…"
She'd press the button but hold it down sending all 3 Sweet Seekers flying at the racer
"Oh shit…" Would be the only words out of Adorabeezle's mouth as all 3 would hit her sending her flying off the track
She'd teleport to the pit lane
"I did not mean to fire all 3…" Annie would state
"You held the button down…but I understand…it was your first time using it…" Adorabeezle would reply calmly
Herschel would approach turn 9 when he'd hear the loud roar of Lodhi's engine
He'd check his mirror to see the red kart's front wing almost on his bumper
"I expected you to catch up…just not this fast…" Herschel would state
"Vell…ze items helped…a little…"
"A little?" Every racer in the pit lane would ask in unison
"Look…how about we do this…for the rest of this race…and the other races today…we don't use items? Heck we only use items during the day when the players are in control?" Annie would ask
"Deal!" Everyone would shout
Annie would sigh. "Ok…"
Lodhi would pull up to Herschel's right at the end of the straight and would take the inside line going through turn 9 and also steal the lead heading towards the infamous left-right-left-right-left of turns 10-14
Behind them Citrusella would stay ahead of Marcy who'd have Nougetsia, Annie and Akio hot on her tail with Phipps and Vanellope just feet behind them
Lodhi's speed advantage would be on full display as heading through the turns he'd not only start losing Herschel
A large gap of space would form between the 2
"Your fast…" Herschel would comment
"Faster zen you know Aussie…" Lodhi would respond
Lodhi would go down the long 3rd straight further widening the gap between himself and Herschel
Herschel would check his mirrors to see Citrusella closing in on him
Nougetsia would use Marcy's slipstream to get right behind her
"Now or never…" She'd tell herself
She'd swerve to the left and would be surprised when Marcy would slam the door on her
She'd swerve from side to side finding Marcy's kart in front of her each time
She'd grip her steering wheel tight and faint to the right
Marcy would begin moving to the right as Nougetsia would swerve hard to the left almost running onto the grass on the side of the track
To her shock Marcy would swerve to left trying to cut her off
Nougetsia would get alittle nervous and fearful and would turn alittle to the left
Right onto the grass
She'd lose control, spin and roll right into the barrier her back wheels coming off in the process
Her kart would come to a halt upside down
"You ok Nougetsia?" Marcy would ask concerned
Nougetsia would slowly crawl out from under her wrecked kart
"Yea I'm fine…just thought you were going to push me off…"
"I left you enough space…sure our karts wheels were centimeters apart…but you still had space…" Marcy would state
"Yea I know…don't blame yourself…I just got nervous and panicked…"
Annie, Akio, Phipps and Vanellope would quickly gain on Marcy who'd check her mirrors and see the small army she'd have to defend against
Lodhi would close in on turn 15 and would check his mirrors seeing Herschel and Citrusella battling for second just halfway through the straight
He'd smirk
Citrusella would push trying to overtake Herschel who'd deny her every time
She'd eventually line up behind him as they'd go through the turn
Lodhi would head down towards the slow left-right of turns 16 and 17
Everyone would be shocked by the large gap between himself and the rest of the racers
"He took the lead just a few turns and a straight ago…" Rancis would comment
"He's…somehow faster than Minty, Sticky, Torvald and Gloyd…" Jubileena would add
"That can't possibly be…they're supposed to have max speed…" Adorabeezle would cross her arms
"Well obviously…not anymore…" Snowanna would state as Lodhi would go through the 18th and final turn and cross the line and start his second lap
He'd be going through turn 1 when the others would cross the line starting their second laps as their standings would appear on the large screen above the pitlane

3rd Citrusella
4th Marcy
5th Annie
6th Akio
7th Phipps
8th Vanellope
9th-20th out
"Wow…it just didn't give a fuck about everyone else…" Sticky would state
Annie would fight aggressively for Marcy's position through turns 1-5
Marcy would find a way to keep Annie at bay
They'd enter the first straight as Annie would see Lodhi already at the end of it
She'd grip her steering wheel tight. "Marcy! You can't catch up to them! Get out of my way!"
"No…" Marcy would reply
Akio's front wing would nearly touch the back of Annie's kart as she'd swerve far to the left only for Marcy's kart to appear ahead of her
She'd swerve to the right side of the straight only for Marcy to cut her off again
Akio would smirk as he'd pass Annie midway through the straight and Marcy nearing the end of it the Mars chocolate themed racer having been too focused on Annie
Phipps would finally make his move
With a few quick moves he'd swerve to Annie's left and slam on the gas getting by her and would dive into turn 6 catching Marcy off guard and taking her position from her
Marcy would hit her wheel in frustration
"You still have time…you have loads of time…" She'd tell herself as she'd line up behind Phipps through turns 7 and 8 and would catch his slipstream going down the second straight
Closing in on turn 9 Phipps would lock up giving Marcy the advantage
She'd smirk as she'd go down the inside taking his position as Phipps would also lose out to Annie exiting the turn
He'd sigh as he'd see Vanellope a few feet away in his mirrors
The positions would remain the same until the 3rd straight
Citrusella would hear Akio's loud engine and would check her mirrors to see him practically riding her bumper
She'd move to the left and the right
Akio would stay on her bumper even closing the gap between them to a few inches pressuring her even more
Citrusella would get nervous as she'd continue moving trying to shake Akio off
She'd keep checking her mirrors not noticing the turn
"It's hard to get you off Akio…" Citrusella would state through her microphone
"You know what isn't hard?" Akio would ask
"What?" Citrusella's eyes would be glued to her mirrors
"…Keeping your eyes on the road…" Akio would respond
Citrusella would look ahead of her to see the turn just feet ahead of her
"Oh shit!"
She'd fly almost like a missile off the track and into the barrier quite off the track
She'd get out of her kart "Akio…common…couldn't give me a little warning?"
"I'll make it up to you later…" Akio would respond
Lodhi would be at the end of the 3rd straight as Herschel would be at the beginning
"He's really fast…"
He'd hear the loud roar of an engine and would see Akio fast approaching in his mirrors
Akio would swerve to the left
"Not this time…" Herschel would mutter as he'd slam the door on Akio
Marcy would exit turn 15 as Annie would swing to the right catching her sister off guard
"Finally!" Annie would slam on the gas
Marcy would line up behind her as Phipps would overtake her as well
She'd silently watch her 2 siblings duke it out in front of her
Nearing the end of the straight Phipps would swing wide to the right Annie swinging to the right as well to cut him off
Marcy would see her opportunity arise
With barely any effort she'd dive down the inside of turn 16 stealing back the 2 positions she had lost
Phipps would sigh
Annie would nearly rip her steering wheel off
Vanellope would close the distance between herself and Phipps
She'd press the blue glowing button on her steering wheel
"Yes Princess?" A member of her pit crew would ask
"I want you to check the speed of the rookies…we're coming up on the line…be ready…"
"Yes princess…" The crew member would go to the fence standing between them and the line
"What's going on?" Rancis would ask quickly joined by Adorabeezle, Jubileena, Nougetsia, Citrusella, Snowanna and Swizzle while the rest would stand just a few feet away
"The princess wants to know the speed the newcomers have…she knew they'd be fast…but apparently they are faster than she thought…."
"Hmm…I wanted to know that aswell…Lodhi's file said he was fast…but I was curious to see…"
"You saw their files?" Snowanna would ask
"I'll show you them in a minute…" Rancis would respond
10 seconds later Lodhi would blow past the line the others only reaching it when he'd be at the end of turn 4
Everyone's jaw would drop when the numbers would appear on a monitor
Lodhi 120
Akio 115
Annie 110
Phipps 105
Marcy 105
Herschel 100
Vanellope 95
"That explains alot…" Adorabeezle would cross her arms
The crew member would turn their microphone on. "Princess…they faster than you…Lodhi is 120…Akio 115…Annie 110…Marcy and Phipps 105…you already know Herschel is 100…and yourself 95…"
Vanellope's line would be silent for a few moments. "Thanks for getting their speeds…"
Vanellope's group of racers would look at one another shocked
Torvald's group would look at one another
"So, if any of them are allowed to get away at the start of the race…they'll run away with it…" Minty would state
"So that means…someone has to overtake them at the start of the race…and not let them by…" Taffyta would add
"Another reason we need them…they have strong powerups…and they are great racers…" Torvald would cross her arms
Herschel would defend his position from Akio on the 1st straight as his blue button would blink
"Hmm?" He'd press it and would be surprised by Sticky's voice
"Keep him behind him you Herschel…"
"That was the plan…" He'd respond
"You don't get it…if he gets by you…you might not get the chance to take the place back…"
"What do you mean Whip?"
"You know how your speed is 100? Marcy and Phipps are 105…but Akio is 115…Annie is 110…and Lodhi is 120…you might not catch Lodhi…but if you can keep Akio and the rest behind you for 17 more laps…second place will surely be yours…"
Herschel would swerve to the left to cut off another attempt by Akio to get by him. "Easier said than done…"
"You got this Herschel…and I'll be here the entire way…"
Later on, Lap 6
Akio would begin getting reckless
A crew member would contact him
"Head down…keep your head down…keep calm…"
"I'm calm…I'm just astounded and bewildered at how Herschel can be so stupid…" Akio would reply
"Care to elaborate on that?"
"I noticed how it's way easier to draft and use slipstream in this game compared to real world racing…what Herschel fails to see is this…if he lets me by…he can draft me…even though Lodhi is faster than me…it's not by much…if Lodhi happens to mess up on a turn I'll be right on top of him and Herschel will have a shot to take the lead and win…but here he is blocking me thereby eliminating any chance he had to win…he can't be that stupid!" Akio would make another attempt at passing only for Herschel to slam the door on him
"Well Sticky's been talking to him…seems she's been focused more on Herschel stopping you then thinking strategy…" His crew member would respond
"We're going have to have a little chat after this race…she must not contend for top positions very often…"
"Well according to her statistics…she averages between 16th which is dead last and tenth…she rarely fights for the top positions…"
"I don't get it…why would a racer who normally finishes in the bottom tell someone fighting at the top to race conservatively?"
"No idea champ…either way…the sooner you blow by Herschel…the better…"
They'd speed down the 1st straight Lodhi nowhere in sight
"How far is Lodhi?" Akio would ask
"He's at turn 9…" A crew member would respond
"Remind me to thank Sticky…"
"Head down head down…"
"I'm calm…just slightly annoyed by the stupidity I'm seeing…" He'd faint to the right
Herschel would swing wide to the right
Akio would swerve to the left and take the inside heading into turn 6
"There we go champ…now chase Lodhi down…"
"I knew he'd fall for it…why didn't I do that earlier?"
Going through turn 7 Annie would get behind Marcy
Exiting turn 8 she'd line up beside her
Heading down the 2nd straight she'd over take her
"What happened Marcy?" A crew member would ask
"Locked up in turn 7…oversteer in turn 8…then late on the gas going down the straight…had I tried anything I would've wreck both me and Annie…it wasn't worth it…"
"Understood Marcy…"
Annie would close the gap between her and Herschel
6 laps later Lap 14
Lodhi would lead by nearly a quarter of a lap as Herschel and Annie would duel for 3rd
The rest would be going down the 2nd straight as Annie would notice Akio near the end of it with Lodhi out of sight
She'd press the blue button on her steering wheel
"Where's Lodhi?"
"On turn 17…" A crew member would reply
"Geez…"
"Yea and to warn you in advance…according to Akio's pit crew…Herschel isn't racing aggressively…he's playing defensively…it was annoying Akio…"
"How could it not be annoying? The longer Herschel blocked Akio…the further Lodhi got…what the hell was NASCAR boy thinking?"
"Apparently Sticky has been talking to him…she saw everyone's speed and decided Herschel's best option was second…she was convinced Akio couldn't chase him down…"
"Well…he's going to finish behind all of us if he races like that…"
Heading into turn 9 Herschel would leave a little space between his kart and the curb
Annie would pounce
She'd dive into the space her kart just squeezing between Herschel and the curb
"Nice move…" A crew member would comment
"It was done by a great racer…"
Herschel would check his mirrors seeing Marcy and Phipps right on his tail with Vanellope not to far behind
"Hey Whip…I'm just going to push…"
"Yea…stop playing defense…that was a bad call on my part…" Sticky would respond
Annie would check her mirrors and see Herschel edging dangerously close to her rear end
"I swear to the developers…if he so much as hits my rear wing…I'm taking him out…"
"Understood Annie…"
5 laps later lap 19
Annie would be on Akio's tail
Lodhi would cruise through turn 7 forgetting about the spikes Taffyta had placed on turn 8 on the first lap
He'd go through the turn and run straight over them
He'd look at his front tires to see the spikes sticking in them
He'd press the blue button on his steering wheel
"Spikes in my front tires...zey von't last till ze end of ze race…"
"Get to the pits…we'll change them and get you right back out…think they can last?" A crew member would ask
"Ve'll find out…" Lodhi would slow down a little to extend the time before his tires blow
"Ok champ…Lodhi drove over some spikes…he's slowing down…you got your shot…make it count…"
"I intend to…" Akio would slam the gas
"Ok Annie…Lodhi went over some spikes…it might be you and Akio fighting for first…don't let him get away…"
"I didn't even think of it…" Annie would slam on the gas
(A few turns later)
Lodhi would exit turn 15 when his front left tire would blow
"Can you get into the pits?"
"Yes I can…" Lodhi would manage to keep control of his kart and steer it into the pits
"Lodhi blew a tire…" Akio's and Annie's crews would say in unison
Both racers would press harder on the gas
"Lodhi blew a tire! Go! Go! Go!" Sticky would yell through her headset. "If you catch the 2 ahead of you…you could win this!"
Herschel would hit the gas as would Marcy and Phipps who got similar messages from their crews
Vanellope would follow closely behind
Her blue button would flash
She'd press it and would be surprised to hear Rancis speaking
"I don't get it Nelly…your throwing away a win…"
"I've been taking the time to observe Phipps and Marcy…I intend on using these races to observe them…if not I would've glitched back onto the track on lap 1…not let myself fall to 18th…"
"you hit your steering wheel though…"
"Had to make it look believable…"
"Ok…"
Adorabeezle would hold a stop watch as Lodhi would stop in his box
His kart would be lifted, all 4 tires changed simultaneously and he'd speed down the pit lane
"He was stationary for 2.8 seconds…they didn't boast numbers like that back then…" She'd state through her headset
"Another inaccuracy by the developers…guess they went with modern times…" Phipps would respond
"If a car stays idle for more than 3 seconds it's considered long…" Marcy would add
Lodhi would approach the pit exit as he'd see Akio and Annie rounding turn 1
He'd exit the pits Akio edging by him before turn 3 as Annie would line up behind him
"Sorry about the stop Lodhi…" A crew member would say
"No it's on me…I should have been more careful…I knew zere vere spikes zere…" Lodhi would respond
Candlehead would look at Crumbelina. "This promises to be an exciting last lap…"
Crumbelina would nod. "Yea…it was a snooze fest watching Lodhi run away with it…"
Akio would hold first going through turns 3-5
Lodhi would swing the left on the 1st straight and drag race Akio
Annie would follow closely behind as she'd see Herschel edging closer to the rear of her kart
"I swear if he hits me and damages my rear wing…I'm knocking him out of the race…"
"Understood Annie…" A crew member would respond
Lodhi would edge ahead of Akio entering turn 6
Akio would be side by side with Lodhi heading through turn 7
Their wheels would be centimeters apart
"Common Akio…" Citrusella would mutter blushing slightly
"Common Lodhi…" Torvald would find herself muttering
Herschel would check his mirrors and would see both Marcy and Phipps behind him waiting for him to make a mistake
Lodhi and Akio would round turn 8 and blast down the 2nd straight Lodhi would manage to get ahead and cut Akio off going through turn 9
Akio would keep his front wing just inches away from Lodhi's kart as he'd follow Lodhi through turns 10-14
Lodhi would lock up entering turn 15 and Akio would get ahead heading into the final turns
Annie would look in her mirrors at Herschel nearly touching her rear wing
"If I slow down by just a tad he's going to fucking wreck me…"
"He's just trying to pressure you…don't give in…" A crew member would respond
Akio would keep his lead going through turn 16
Annie would slow a little for the turn and Herschel would apply the brakes too late as he'd rear end her destroying her rear wing and damaging her rear tires
"THAT FUCKER!"
"Head down head down Annie…" A crew member would tell her
"No! There's no way he's finishing this race!"
She'd look at her rear tires wobbling as her entire kart would vibrate violently
She'd struggle through turn 17 as Herschel would swerve to the side
"Pass me…pass me…I fucking dare you…"
Herschel would begin passing her
She'd smash her front wing into his right rear tire sending Herschel spinning off the track and into the barrier
"She took him out!" Taffyta would exclaim
"Deliberately!" Crumbelina would add
Swizzle would look at Rancis. "My best guess is she thought he hit her intentionally…"
"With how close he was following her…it was obvious he'd hit her the second she slowed down…there's no way that was unintentional…the Aussie knew what he was doing…" Rancis would respond
Akio and Lodhi would be side by side going through turn 18
Akio would edge ahead by an inch crossing the line winning the race
"WOOHOO!" He'd stick his fist up in the air before waving to the crowd
Lodhi would wave at the crowd
Annie would manage to stay just ahead of Marcy and Phipps and cross the line before spinning into the fence separating the track from the pits
Vanellope would cross the line as the final results would appear on the screen above the pitlane

Annie would get out of her kart and take off her HANS system and climb over the fence
Her helmet would still be on as a sign not to be approached
She'd walk passed Herschel and Sticky and throw her HANS system at their feet and continue walking towards her garage in the pits
She'd take off her helmet and toss it into her garage in the pits and trek towards the room above the pitlane leading to the podium
"Wow…she seems to be a sore loser…" Minty would whisper to Crumbelina who'd shrug
Akio, Lodhi, Phipps and Marcy would be in a room awaiting to go to the podium as a few cameras would roll broadcasting live to the entire arcade
Lodhi would look at one of the cameras. "So…our races are broadcasted live? To zey entire arcade? Vy?"
"It's one of the few pastimes many characters have…plus it's one of the most entertaining things to watch…" A marshmallow race official would respond
"I finished 5th…why am I here?" Phipps would ask
"Since the update there are 5 places on the podium…" A marshmallow would respond
"I don't get it…the podium only has place for the top 3 finishers…and then someone from the winning team…" Phipps would look at a Marshmallow race official
"I know Phipps…but the developers changed the podium to include the top 5…a few kids were really upset when they finished in fourth and fifth and didn't make the podium…"
"So? It's a sign to try harder…" Marcy would state
"Either way the developers got tired of the complaints…"
Annie would walk into the room and shake Akio's and Lodhi's hand
"Good race you guys…had Herschel not rear ended me…I might have finished closer to you guys…and not spun and wrecked into the fence after finishing…"
"I guess he thought your kart could take the hit…" Phipps would look at her
"Shows he's a dumbass who doesn't watch F1…in F1 you don't bump and ram your way to the top…you draft, use slipstream and speed to get ahead…" Annie would clench her fist "If he dares calls me out for knocking him out of the race…I'm going to give him the reasons why I did…"
Lodhi would look at Akio. "Ven I drove over ze spikes…I slowed down so my tires vould last longer…zen my crew told me you vere gaining about 3 karts a second…-Akio would smirk nodding-…I vas like "Yeesh"…I hit ze gas and started praying my tires last till ze pits…"
The Marshmallow would open the door. "The podium awaits…"
Akio would walk out followed by Lodhi, Annie, Marcy and Phipps
They'd walk towards the podium as cameras would roll and to the cheer of the crowd watching
Lodhi, Annie, Marcy and Phipps would smile and wave to the fans as Akio would fist pump the air
They'd get on the podium Akio would lift the trophy up in the air as the crowd would cheer more as the arcade would watch live through several cameras rolling as a few others would take photographs
Below the stage the racers would applaud while a few would mutter a few words under their breath
A few photographers would set up in front of the podium as all 5 rookies would get close enough to put their arms around each other
(A few minutes later)
Lodhi would look down to see the bottles of champagne placed beside them on the podiums
He'd look around at his siblings who'd nod suppressing grins
He'd turn to Vanellope who'd be to the side of them
He'd wave her over
"What is it?" She'd ask almost in a whisper
Lodhi would silently swipe the champagne that would by Akio's feet and would pass it to her.
"Do vot ve do…"
Vanellope would nod
Annie, Phipps, Marcy and Lodhi would hold up their bottles
"Akio…you know what normally happens to the winners…"
Akio would look at his siblings who'd spray him with their champagne as Vanellope would join in
Akio would laugh a little. "Seriously?"
"Hey we got him to talk!" Annie would shout
They'd set their bottles down as Akio would look at his soaked clothes chuckling. "Well…I'm going to have to change before the next race…"
"Maybe next time you'll just let me have first…" Lodhi would state
"Not a chance in hell…" Akio would respond
Lodhi would laugh
Vanellope would chuckle. "Just for the record Lodhi is the one who gave me your champagne bottle…"
"I kind of figured…" Akio would respond
"So, where's the next race princess?" Marcy would ask
"It's at Monza…it'll be 10 laps…in 30 minutes…-she'd look at Akio-…should be enough time for you to shower and get the champagne smell out of your hair…"
"Thanks princess…"
The siblings would get off the podium and head for their garages
Vanellope would glitch down to her group. "Next race is in 30 minutes…feel free to mingle with the new comers…"
Lodhi would wipe some dust off his front wing when Torvald would walk in
"Nice race out there…really thought you had it in the bag…" She'd state
Lodhi would look up from his kart. "Yea…had it not been for zose spikes…I vould have von ze race…"
"Well you can't win them all…but you pushed your brother Akio all the way to the end…that's something to take pride in…"
"Yea it is…he did very vell…ven his opportunity arouse he took it…and he made it count…"
"Not to sound bad…but your powerups came in handy…"
"Yea…ve kind a of took everyone out on ze first lap…"
"Well…in the next race…none of us will worry about your tank appearing…"
Lodhi would chuckle. "Yea…it seemed everyone was eizer surprised or horrified by zat zing…"
Torvald would chuckle. "Yea…but that thing was huge…it made the whole track shake…"
"So vere on you starting on Monza?"
"I'm starting 13th on the grid…"
"Oh, yea you, Jubileena and Taffyta vere destroyed by Marcy's barrage early on…"
"Not early…we were one of the last ones taken out by items…"
"Vell seeing how it vas a 9-vay fight before turn 10…it vas early on…"
"Touché…"
"So vy did you come here?"
"Just wanted to get to know you a little better…"
"Know vot exactly?"
"Maybe just tell me a bit about yourself…" Torvald would sit on a nearby stool
Marcy would sit in her garage downing a bottle of water
"You got thirsty…"
She'd look over to see Nougetsia at the entrance
"Yea…it's very hot sitting in an F1 car…after the first lap I was thirsty…"
"I see…" She'd sit down beside her. "You raced well…"
"Thanks…your not to bad…hopefully in the next race we can battle a little more…"
"That is if I don't panic and turn onto the grass again…"
Marcy would chuckle. "We all make mistakes…"
"Yea…but your good at defending your position…Akio got by you since you were distracted…and Annie by sheer amount of luck…no one overtook you by fighting you…"
Marcy would smile. "It's as I say…it's hard to get passed…when you're an impassable wall…"
Both girls would chuckle
Both would reach for the water bottle between them
Their hands would touch
Both would blush and look down at their hands then each other
They'd look down at their hands
Then look each other in the eyes
Both would blush heavily
They'd both lean in their foreheads touching
"Nougetsia?" Marcy would ask
"Yea?"
"I'm crazy scare right now…"
"Maybe that's a good thing…"
Their lips would touch fireworks going off in both of them
Their cheeks would turn bright red as they'd continue the kiss
Adorabeezle and Jubileena would look in from the entrance
"Wow…your sister is braver than you…and made the move within a day…you took 15 years…" Jubileena would look at Adorabeezle who'd sigh
"Please don't start…"
Jubileena would chuckle a little. "Fine…"
A few seconds later the kiss would end
Both Marcy's and Nougetsia's cheeks would be redder than a Cherry Bomb
"I love you Marcy…"
"I love you too Nougetsia…"
They'd hug eachother
"Let's keep it a secret…atleast until the races are finished…so people don't think I'm giving you a chance…"
"Deal…"
Adorabeezle would clear her throat. "Ahem…"
Both racers would look over at the entrance seeing both Adorabeezle and Jubileena standing there grinning
"How much did you see?!" Nougetsia would shout
"Whoa sis…don't worry…we didn't see anything…we walked in you were hugging…but I bet I can guess exactly what transpired before that…" Adorabeezle would walk in
"It was a private moment…"
"We know…" Jubileena would sit down
Phipps would be working on his kart's engine when Snowanna would walk in.
"Hey Phipps…"
"Hey Snowanna…"
"What are you working on?"
"Trying to figure something out…"
"Figure out what?"
"During the race I could barely maintain my top speed…I was forced to draft Marcy often…just to keep up…"
"Hmm…let me help out…" Snowanna would state
After a few minutes Snowanna would notice Taffy seeping from the engine
"Here's the problem…but how did it get there?"
"I don't know…it makes no sense…"
Phipps crew would get to work as he'd watch footage of the race on a tv set up above the entrance
"You did very well in the race…even with a sabotaged engine you still managed to pass your sister Marcy twice…and in the end finished fifth out of 20…that's something to be proud of…"
"Yea…sorry about the Thermal impolder…I threw it at Lodhi…who threw it into your kart…"
"It's alright…I wasn't mad…at first I thought it was you…then I watched video replay and I found out it was Lodhi…but he threw it in a panic…as anyone else would have…"
"Ok…where are you starting in the next race?"
"I'm starting 12th…"
"Sorry for asking…I knew you were one of the last ones knocked out by items…but I still wasn't sure when you ended up…"
"It's fine…but don't worry…I'll be on your tail before you know it…"
"Wanna bet on that?" Phipps would ask
"Sure…what are you betting?" Snownna would ask
"Beat me I take you out for dinner…"
Snowanna would tap her chin. "Ok…if you beat me…I'll give you a kiss…"
"Deal…" Phipps would shake her hand as both would blush
Meanwhile Annie would watch replays of Herschel ramming into the rear of her kart
She'd crush the empty water bottle in her hand
Herschel would walk into her garage
"What the hell do you want?" Annie would glare at him
"Just to apologize for rear ending you…I was late on the brakes…"
"Still…the fuck were you doing mere inches from my rear wing anyway?"
"Just drafting you…I knew I was at a distance when I be able to break in time…I just miss timed it…"
Annie would drink another bottle of water. "When you did that little stunt I was 2 feet from Akio and Lodhi's battle…I had a chance at winning…even though it was slim…there was still a chance…than you fucking plowed into me pretty much destroying the rear of my kart right then and there…"
"Again I apologize for that…it wasn't my intention to wreck you…"
"Either way what you did was fucking stupid…do that to me again and next time I won't just make you crash into the barrier…"
Herschel would nod and silently leave the garage
Annie would go back to watching footage from the crash captured from several cameras from different angles
"Didn't mean anything by it…yea that's why he was almost on top of my kart…" She'd crush the now empty water bottle
Rancis would appear at the entrance. "I assume the Aussie came to apologize and make sure there was no ill will?"
Annie would look over at him. "As a matter of fact he just was…"
"Typical…" Rancis would state
"What do you mean?"
"Your not the first he's done that too…when he knows he can't get pass the other person cleanly he takes them out…or when he dislikes the person he wrecks them…"
"Really?"
Rancis would take a tablet resting on a table near them.
"Take a look then judge for yourself…" He'd hand her the tablet
Annie would watch footage of a race showing Rancis in first and Herschel in second on Watkins Glen
"I'm telling you now…I don't win often…and guess how he decided to take that win from me…"
Annie would watch as Herschel would bump Rancis going into the last turn sending Rancis spinning off.
"Wanna know he's excuse?"
"Sure what was it?"
"Said he didn't mean to bump me that hard…that bumping and rubbing are all part of the race…"
"Well…if he passes me in the next race…I'll gladly put him in his place…"
"Good to know…" Rancis would turn to leave "Vanellope probably needs me…see you at the next race…"
"Hopefully only in my mirrors…" Annie would state
Rancis would laugh leaving the garage
(A few minutes later)
Citrusella would walk into Akio's garage seeing him zip up his racing suit
"Already done?"
"Yea…-points to a door on the side of the garage where steam would fly out off-…just got out…"
"Ok…either way great win out there…"
"Thanks…Lodhi pushed hard throughout the lap…it wasn't easy…"
"I didn't know it was possible to overtake on that track…well besides the straights…"
"Well it's very hard to…but if those ahead of you lock up or miss a gear change…it's possible…"
"I've heard that voice before…"
"Really? Where?"
"In call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare…the SAS announcer on multiplayer…you have his voice…"
"That a problem?"
"No…it makes you sound way cooler…"
"Thanks…where are you starting in the next race?"
"I'm starting in 8th…thanks to you not warning me…"
"Your eyes were glued to your mirror…it's not my fault…"
"Still…had you warned me…I still would've went a little off the track…you would have been ahead of me but I would have still been in the race…"
"Sorry…"
"It's not like I was going to win…I just would've enjoyed to finish in the top 5…"
"You don't finish there often?"
"No…I average between 14th and 8th…I'm third to last in total race wins…"
"Oh…oh…I didn't know…"
"It's fine…just sucks…"
Akio would give her a hug. "I don't understand how you finish in the bottom…you race like a champion…"
Citrusella would smile slightly. "I just get wrecked or slowed down by items…"
"Look…tonight how about I take you out to dinner? To make up for not warning you?"
Citrusella would blush. "I'd love too…"
"Great…" Akio would blush as well
Lodhi would finish giving Torvald a rundown of Sebastian Vettel and Michael Schumacher as well as the stats of each racer
"Seems Schumacher was almost unbeatable…"
"Vell he had his challengers…but Ferrari vas unstoppable during most of his time…"
"So about that stare down before the race…"
Lodhi would stand
"Vot about it?"
Torvald would blush looking away "Why were you staring at me?"
Lodhi would look at the ground blushing as well. "I could ask you ze same zing…"
"Lodhi…I…I…" She'd stutter
Lodhi would stand in front of her. "Torvald…-he hold her hand-…if you have somesing to say…say it…"
Torvald would suddenly pull him in and kiss him
Both racers cheeks would turn red as Lodhi after a brief moment of surprised would put his arms around Torvald as they'd continue the kiss
A few seconds later their lips would part as Torvald would breath blushing heavily
Lodhi would blush heavily as well. "Ven I first laid eyes on you…I felt some sort of spark…"
"When you kissed my hand…I felt it too…"
They'd kiss again
(A few minutes later)
Swizzle would approach Vanellope and Rancis
"How did it look it the pits?" Vanellope would ask
"Marcy, Annie, Phipps and Akio will be easy to sway…Nougetsia kissed Marcy before they both expressed their love for each other…Phipps is going to take Snowanna out on a date if Snowanna beats him in the next race…Akio asked Citrusella on a date after the races today…Annie despises Herschel so finding out he's on the other side should be enough for her to join us…Lodhi however…may prove difficult…"
"Why is that Swizzle?"
"His heart belongs to Torvald…I saw them kiss and say they fell for one another the moment their eyes met…"
Vanellope would ponder for a moment. "Good job…you can go for now Swizzle…"
Swizzle would bow and leave
Vanellope would tap her chin pondering
"What are we going to do about him Nelly?" Rancis would ask
Vanellope would grin. "Show him the light…"
"Sure it will work?" Rancis would ask again
"If we play our cards just right…and he doesn't catch onto us…by the time he figures everything out…it'll be too late…"
They'd both laugh evilly

The racers would line up on the grid on the Monza track
Their standings would appear on a large screen above the pit lane

3rd Annie
4th Marcy
5th Phipps
6th Vanellope
7th Herschel
8th Citrusella
9th Nougetsia
10th Adorabeezle
11th Swizzle
12th Snowanna
13th Torvald
14th Jubileena
15th Taffyta

17th Rancis
18th Candlehead
19th Minty
20th Sticky
Marcy would crack her fingers before gripping her steering wheel tight
Phipps would grip his steering wheel staring down the race track
Annie would hold her steering wheel tight her eyes narrowing as 5 red lights would appear above the racers
Lodhi and Akio would stare at one another
"May ze best racer vin…" Lodhi would state
"Indeed…" Akio would respond
Both racers would look at the long main straight leading to the first chicane
They'd rev their engines as the 5 red lights would go out
