Ch.24 Grim Fates Part I
(Where we left off)
Lodhi, Akio and Phipps would drink and look down at the table
"Torvald manage to get into an almost win-win situation…" Akio would start
His 2 brothers would look at him as he'd continue
"If any of her racers won…it was a win…if any of us 3…well maybe even Marcy won…neither side would've won…but that would still have been a win for her…"
"Yea…but Minty…I don't get vy Torvald always came to her defense…from ze looks of zings…zis isn't ze first time Minty has done somesing stupid like zat…" Lodhi would take a swig of his drink
"I'm suppose to be smart…yet I was stupid enough to allow anger to cloud my judgement…Vanellope's smart…smarter than she looks…" Phipps would take a swig of his drink
Akio and Lodhi would look at him
"What?"
"Zat's vot I vas trying to tell you…"
-Flashback a few hours earlier a few moments after Vanellope called them-
Phipps would head to the stairs but would suddenly be stopped by Lodhi
"Phipps…let's talk about vot your about to do…"
Phipps would turn slightly angrily to his brother
"What's there to talk about Lodhi?! They nearly killed Annie because she didn't want to take their side!"
"Phipps…zat vas only a few of them…ze rest don't deserve to go down vith zem…"
"Stop Lodhi! It's like Vanellope told us! We take care of them now and history won't repeat itself!"
Phipps would storm of the stairs as Lodhi would look at his feet
-End Flashback-
"I tried to varn you of ze grave mistake you vere about to make…you didn't listen to me…"
Phipps would silently drink
(A few minutes of absolute silence would pass)
Akio would put his empty bottle down. "I'm gonna head to my place with Citrusella…I'll see you boys in the morning…" He'd walk over to Citrusella who'd pretend to sleep
He'd push her out of the Chalet and towards his house
Phipps would put his empty bottle down. "I'm sorry Lodhi…sorry about doing this to you…and your girlfriend…" He'd get up and leave
Lodhi would put his half empty bottle back in his cabinet when Heinz would run up.
"Candlehead is vaking!"
"Ok…I'm coming…"
Lodhi would walk down to his work table
Candlehead would wake on the table beside him
"W-w-where am I?"
"Your safe here Candlehead…mine telling me how the burns feel?"
"They hurt…really really bad…"
"Mine if I help out vith zat?"
"Yes…but no peeping where your eyes don't belong…"
Lodhi would roll his eyes as he'd examine all her burns. "You vere burned 5 times in ze back…twice in ze stomach…once in ze chest…zree times on your legs…and once on ze back of your neck…mine telling me by vot?"
"A torch…" Candlehead would reply
"I see…" Lodhi would get a syringe with a large needle of his desk
Candlehead would move away. "Get that away from me…I hate needles!"
"Zis is just to numb ze pain Candlehead…" Lodhi would explain
"Still I hate needles!"
"Ok…mine telling me when you starting feelings for Crumbelina?"
Candlehead would look up at the ceiling a little smile appearing on her face
"It was actually on our first day…I had quickly become everyone's friend…but with Crumbs…I felt different…after our first day I was working on my kart…she showed up…helped me out…when I asked her if she liked anyone she blushed and said no…then it was vice versa…things were cute/weird between us for a few years…than in our fifth year of existence Gloyd through his surveillance found out Crumbelina actually shared my strange feelings…but since it was Gloyd and his pranks aren't always nice…I didn't anything with the information he gave me…then 2 months ago…while I was on the run outside of the game…I ran into Crumbelina and she finally revealed her feelings to me…"
"I see…but I must pose a question…vy Crumbelina…vot got you attached to her?"
"Sure she's one of the toughest…meanest…ass kicking girls in the game…but she's a sweet, caring, funny, passionate and loving girl on the inside…"
"I see…" Lodhi would remove the syringe from her arm
"I said no needles!" Candlehead would yell at him
Lodhi would put the empty Syringe down. "But you didn't feel it did you?"
"Well no…"
"Ven you don't zink about it you don't feel it…zat's ze key Candlehead…"
"Thanks Lodhi…do you know what will happen to Crumbelina?"
"She's going to be fine…don't you vorry…"
(The next morning)
Vanellope would walk into Lodhi's lab
"Have you finished your testing?"
Lodhi would turn around. "Yes…but you vill not like ze results…" He'd hand her a file
Vanellope would read over it. "They either failed or achieved minimal results?"
"Yes…I zink I know vy…but I vould need another test subject…to compare ze results…"
"Ok…I'll have one brought soon…any progress on your thing regarding the 2 in comas?"
"No progress yet…but I'm hoping to find a solution soon…"
"Good…well I'll leave you to work now…"
She'd start walking up the stair and cramp up
"Motherfucker…"
Lodhi would help her up the stairs
"You ok?"
"Yea Lodhi…I'm fine…just going to go sit on my throne for a little bit…"
Vanellope would go to her kart and take off for the castle
(A little later on)
Phipps would join him in his lab
"How's Candlehead doing?" Phipps would ask
"Not good…I have to give her a shot of this numbing serum every 4 hours to keep her from feeling pain…"
"Her injuries that grave?"
"Look over my shoulder and you'll see…"
Phipps would look over and see Candlehead face down with Lodhi inspecting the large burn on the back of Candlehead's neck
"She vas burned vith a torch…but zese burns run deep…zis is ze deepest one…it burned zrough ze skin…and deep into her flesh…I have nosing zat can heal zat at ze moment…"
"I assume you didn't rest a lot?"
"No…I put everysing on hold…I have Heinz, Berger, Zu and Jorge vorking on ze bacta tank and experimental Bacta patches…-he'd point to his 4 assistants working tirelessly-…vile I've tried to improve and enhance my current formula…to atleast increase it's effectiveness…"
"It looks like it burned deep into her neck…how deep did it go?"
"Deep enough to cause unimaginable pain…but not enough to fry her nerves zankfully…"
(several minutes later in the Fungeon)
Taffyta would be crying in her cell
Minty would be bashing her head against the wall. "Stupid stupid stupid…" She'd tell herself
Crumbelina would sob staring at the wall across from her
Sticky would cry in Herschel's arms
"I don't want to die…" She'd sob
"You won't…Vanellope was just toying with you…I promise…"
Torvald would sit silently in her cell
"Game over…except…this time…there's no respawning…" She'd sigh still talking to herself. "Vanellope is killing me…there's no way she's just going to let me go…" She'd look at the ground
Vanellope would walk down the stairs and would look into each cell
"Such sad faces…be happy…it'll be over soon…"
She'd walk infront of Taffyta's cell. "Yours I'll enjoy…" She'd chuckle as Taffyta would go over to the bars separating the 2
"Please don't kill me! I'll do anything! I'll even be your personal servant!"
Vanellope would suddenly reach between the bars and grab Taffyta's collar. "You know what I really want Muttonfugde?"
"No…" Taffyta would respond nervously
"I want you to scream when you die…" With that Vanellope would pull her hand back causing Taffyta's face to smash hard against the cell bars
She'd fall to the ground holding her face and cry
Vanellope would grin
Vanellope would open Crumbelina's cell. "Come along Crumbelina…"
Crumbelina would back into a corner terrified. "P-please no…"
2 Oreo guard would enter the cell and drag her out
Crumbelina would kick, scream and plead
Everyone else would remain silent
Vanellope would sit on her throne as Crumbelina's head would be placed on a block
1 Oreo guard would keep her head down as another would ready an axe at her neck
Vanellope would chuckle as Crumbelina would look at her terrified
"Tell me…how does it feel Crumbs? How does it feel knowing your true love is suffering because of you? How does it feel betraying her when you took out her friend? How does it feel losing everything that matter to you…with just 1 bad decision?"
Crumbelina would sob. "I regret my actions…even when I was doing it I knew it was wrong…but please…don't make Candlehead suffer from my mistake…I've put her through enough already…please…let me take her place…let her be…please…"
The Oreo guard would raise his axe as Vanellope would walk over and kneel infront of her
"You really expect me to let Candlehead off scot free?"
"Princess…her just being with me has been torture…she's always getting hurt…beaten…tortured…just because she's with me…don't make suffer through more…"
Vanellope would tilt her head to one side. "Give me one good reason…"
"Princess…torture me all you want…kill me and bring me bring me back and kill me again…do anything your heart desires…just leave Candlehead alone…I beg you…"
"Not good enough…"
The guard would swing his axe down
Crumbelina would scream
-Thwack-
She'd open her eyes to see the axe in the block just a few inches from her neck
She'd look at Vanellope who'd chuckle
"Your wish is granted…you'll be experimented on like Candlehead…"
"C-c-can she go free?"
Vanellope would shake her head. "Lodhi needs her for further testing…"
"But Princess…"
Vanellope would point to the axe beside Crumbelina's neck
"Either that…or your head becomes a trophy…" She'd point to Gloyd's head resting on a table right beside her throne
Crumbelina would look at Vanellope. "O-o-ok Princess…"
Vanellope would look at the guard. "Take her to Lodhi…"
The guard would nod and drag Crumbelina off
Vanellope would look over at 2 other guards. "Get Taffyta's torture/execution device ready…"
They'd both nod and run off
She'd climb up the stairs leading to her throne
And cramp up again
"Ow…those are really starting to hurt…" She'd sit on her throne
Outside the throne room Jubileena would stand beside Rancis
"Make her take a test…now or we'll make you Rancis…"
"We…didn't do what your thinking Jubileena…"
"Bull-fucking-shit…"
Rancis would sigh.
"Rancis…it won't insult her…hell to her it just my show you really care about her…"
"I already do!"
"Then start fucking showing it…"
"Fine…"
Rancis would walk into the throne room
"Hey Nelly…still getting cramps?"
Vanellope would look at him. "Yea…"
He'd sit on the chair beside her throne
"I've been talking with the others…we thought maybe you should take a test…for safety reasons…since if you are you know what…that would change things slightly…"
"You really talked with everyone else?"
Jubileena would stand at the doorway
"More like we told him…but he was to chicken…"
Rancis would sigh as Vanellope would chuckle
"Now that makes more sense…"
"So your not mad?" Rancis would ask
"Of course not…I was already considering taking one…just to see…"
"So you 2 did do it?" Jubileena would ask
"Yes…a solid month ago…the night after the executions…"
"You didn't have to tell her Nelly!" Rancis would state
"They would've found out anyway Flugs…" Vanellope would respond
(A short bit later)
They'd both stare at the pregnancy test as guards would set up the device for Taffyta's torment
A few monets of complete silence would pass and the test would show positive.
Rancis would cover his mouth as Vanellope would go sit on her throne
"I am sooo sorry Nelly…" Rancis would apologize
"Sorry for what?" Vanellope would smile. "This is great…I get rid of those that have threatened me and caused me pain…and now I get to add a child to my legacy…this is great news!"
Rancis would wipe his forehead sighing in relief. "Thought you'd be upset…"
"Again why would I be? Today is one of the greatest days of my life!"
Rancis would smile. "I've never seen you that happy…"
Vanellope would chuckle. "Now for the icing on the cake…go fetch Taffyta for me…"
"Without delay…" Rancis would head down to the Fungeon
(Meanwhile)
Marcy would head down to Lodhi's lab surprised to see him working on Candlehead with Phipps nearby.
"Hey Lodhi…could we talk in private for a moment?"
"Sure…" Lodhi would lead her back up the stairs and into the kitchen
"Look…I just want to apologize for how I acted yesterday…I you could probably tell I was letting my emotions get the better of me…"
"You don't have to apologize Marcy…I knew you veren't in ze right mind…zat's vy I intervened ven I did…"
"I know but I shouldn't have gotten us to that point…"
"Look Marcy…I don't hate you for vot you did…I don't blame you for feeling zat vay…I vas feeling ze same vay…but's important to always keep a level head and mind…and yesterday proves vy…"
"Yea…so what's going on with Candlehead down there?"
"Vanellope vonted a few test done on her…I perform zem quickly zen focused on trying to ease her pain and suffering…so far…some progress has been made…but she von't recover for a while…"
"Oh ok…either way…thanks for the talk…I'll let you get back to work…" Marcy would leave the chalet as Lodhi would walk back down to his lab
"How can I make it up to you?" Phipps would ask
"Vot are you talking about?" Lodhi would ask
"For how I acted yesterday…for doing this to you and your girlfriend…"
"You don't have to do anysing Phipps…"
"Still I feel as if I owe you massively for you keeping a cool head and not lashing out at me…"
"Fine…you vont somesing…get me blueprints and layouts of ze castle…and get access to Vanellope's sercuity cameras…"
"That sounds like a lot…what do you plan on doing?" Phipps would ask curiously
"Turning our disadvantage in numbers…into an advantage…" Lodhi would respond
"Ok…" Phipps would leave
(Back at the castle)
Rancis would open Taffyta's cell and 2 guads would go in and drag her out
"Please no! I'll do anything! Just please no!" She'd plea
Rancis would silently lead the guards up the stairs and into the throne room
There'd be a rack consisting of a rectangular, wooden frame, slightly raised from the ground, with a roller at both ends.
Taffyta's ankles would be fastened to one roller while her hands would be chained to the other
Vanellope would turn to Rancis. "Bring Torvald up…I want her to watch this…"
Rancis would nod and head back down and bring Torvald up a few moments later
Rancis would bring her up to Vanellope
"What do you want?" Torvald would ask
"Just want you to see what your actions have caused…"
Torvald would be forced to her knees as Taffyta would pull at her restraints
"Please Vanellope! Not like this! Please!"
Vanellope would raise her hand silencing her. "Don't forget to scream…"
A guard would slowly rotate a wheel
Gradually pulling Taffyta's arms in one direction and her legs in the opposite direction
"W-w-what are you doing to her?" Torvald would ask
"Something that she's had coming for a long time…" Vanellope would respond
"No! Please! Stop! I don't want this! Please!" Taffyta would plea
She'd be stretch to the limit
"Please!"
Vanellope would look at the guard
"Further…"
"B-b-but Princess…any further and it could have drastic consequences…"
"I said further…"
The guard would continue rotating the wheel
Taffyta would scream in pain when suddenly
-POP-
Her right arm would dislocate
She'd shriek
-POP-
Her left arm would dislocate
-More sickening POPs-
Her knees would dislocate
Torvald would barely keep it together as Taffyta would just shriek in pain as the guard would continue to rotate the wheel
Vanellope's grin would go wider and wider
"C-c-c-can I stop now?" The guard would ask
"No…"
"B-b-but Princess…"
Vanellope would lift her hand and ball it into a fist
"What is that?" The guard would ask
2 bullets would suddenly tear through him
Torvald would look over and see Jubileena in the door way
"Jubileena…would you do the honors?"
"Of course Princess…" Jubileena would go over to the wheel and rotate it further
Taffyta's muscle fibers and cartilage would begin to tear apart as 2 guards would drag the dead one away
"Weakling…" Vanellope would mutter
(A few agonizing moments pass)
Vanellope would lift her hand
Jubileena would stop
Vanellope would look at 2 guards and nod
They'd go over to Taffyta and proceed to rip her fingernails out
Torvald would look away
"Rancis…make her watch…"
Rancis would make Torvald watch. "Either watch or I'll tear your eye lids off…"
Torvald would silently watch Taffyta's torment
Taffyta would scream in absolute pain
The 2 Oreo gaurds would finish removing her fingernails and would begin ripping her toe nails out
"That's not right…" Torvald would mutter
The guards would then grab 2 torches and begin burning Taffyta
She'd cry and scream in pain
(A few minutes later)
Vanellope would look at Jubileena. "You may now end it…"
Jubileena would nod and rotate the wheel
Taffyta would stretch and stretch till
Her arms and legs would tear off
She'd let out one last blood bloodcurdling screech
She'd bleed out rather quickly as her life would flash before her eyes
Everything would finally go dark
A few tears would escape Torvald's eyes as Rancis would drag her back to the Fungeon
The 2 Oreo guards would cut off Taffyta's head and place it next to Gloyd's on the table by Vanellope's throne
They'd take her body parts and put them in a large black plastic bag
"Take her body parts and throw them in diet cola mountain…the only thing that will be left of her is her severed head…" Vanellope would state
Both guards would nod and leave as a few more would help Jubileena take out the rack out of the throne room
Vanellope would hold Taffyta's head a few familiar phrases coming to mind

You're a glitch and that's all you'll ever be!

"Oh how wrong you were Muttonfugde…enjoy hell…I heard the devil needed a real bitch that he could use for…pleasure…"
(Meanwhile)
Crumbelina would be dragged down to Lodhi's lab
She'd have her wrists and ankles strapped to a table on his left
She'd see Candlehead on a table to his right
"Zank you…tell ze Princess to expect results by tomorrow at noon…"
The guard would nod and leave as Lodhi would look at Crumbelina who'd shake nervously
"Before you experiment on me can I ask one thing first?"
"Like vot?"
"Could you please not harm Candlehead anymore?"
"Vy?"
"You don't know how much I've made her suffer…before she was tortured and beaten by people who just wanted to get to me…than…I went and broke her trust by sabotaging Annie…-Crumbelina would begin to sob-…not only have I made her suffer…but I was one of the only people that she trusted completely…and I went and broke it…which is why I'm willing to take anything you dish up for us…the worst things you can create…all I ask is for Candlehead to be left alone…"
"Hmm…I zought you vere just into Candlehead for her body…and for…vell…sexy times…"
"That's not even close to why I love her…she's the most sweet, honest, caring and loving girl I ever met…she's the only one who really gets me…one of the only ones that I don't feel I need to act super tough around…with her I'm happy…at peace…and when she's around I feel like I have a purpose besides racing…sure I like her body…but that doesn't even make up 1% of why I love her and…-she'd sob some more-…hope that I never lose her…I'm nothing without her…"
Lodhi would remove Crumbelina's straps
"I'm sure Candlehead loved hearing zat…"
"What do you mean?"
Candlehead would slowly and weakly look over at Crumbelina. "Because I heard every word…"
Crumbelina would hug her gently trying to avoid her burns
Candlehead would weakly smile
"Did you actually experiment on her Lodhi?" Crumbelina would ask
"Only my numbing formula…vizout zat…she'd be avake 24/7 because of ze pain…"
Crumbelina would let go of Candlehead
"How bad on her burns?"
"None put her life in danger…ze guard knew vot he vas doing…he burned deep enough to cause tremendous pain…but not enough to burn any nerves…however…he still burned deep…" He'd show Crumbelina the burn on the back of Candlehead's neck
"Thankfully it didn't go to the bone…"
"Still zere's just a very zin layer of flesh protecting everysing…she's lucky…"
"Do you have anything that could help with that?"
"My assistants are currently working on 2 experimental devices…they should be done by tomorrow…in 2 days by ze latest…but I must ask a favor…"
"What kind of favor?"
"Ven zey are done…I vould like you to test it…I don't vont to risk putting Candlehead in ze tank or using ze patches vizout testing zem…I don't vont zem to backfire on her…"
"Sure…I'll test anything and everything…"
"Good…"
Candlehead would suddenly start screaming in agony
Lodhi would check the time before giving Candlehead another dose of his formula
"Hmm…manage to increase it's effectiveness from 4 hours…to 6…still room for improvement…"
(Back at the Fungeon)
Torvald would look at the floor a little traumatized
"T-T-Torvald?" Sticky would ask as Rancis would come down the Fungeon steps
Sticky would suddenly flee to Herschel's arms
"Don't let him take me!" She'd hold him tight
Rancis would roll his eyes as 2 guards would drag Minty off as he'd enter Torvald's cell
"Come along…" He'd grab her arm and drag her off
Sticky would hold Herschel very tight
"Sh-sh-she sent Torvald back down here…for a reason!"
"She's just trying to scare you…" Herschel would respond
"No she's not! If what she did to Taffyta was enough to traumatize Torvald mod knows what she has planned for me! I'm the reason everyone was brought back! She has something terrible planned for me! I just know it!"
She'd cry terrified
Herschel would hold her silently
(In GCS)
Akio would be drinking at Tapper's
"Another bottle Tapper…" He'd state
"That's the fourth bottle of scotch since last night Akio…what's troubling you?"
"Doesn't matter just give me another damn bottle…"
Wreck-it Ralph would suddenly sit beside him
"Hey…your one of those new racers right? How's Vanellope doing?"
"She's doing great…never been more uneasy in a game before…"
"What do you mean?"
"Your name's Ralph right? The one Vanellope speaks highly of?"
"That's me…"
"Let's just say…you've been lied too…"
