Grim Fates Part III: Unfriendly Conversation
(Where we left off)
Ralph would stand at the entrance to Sugar Rush
"I have to help them…" He'd tell himself
"Ralph…don't…Akio said to stay far away…" Felix would appear beside him with Calhoun
"I agree with Felix on this one…if what Akio said is true and that footage isn't fabricated Vanellope is more twisted and cruel then any Cybug ever created…" Calhoun would state
"No…I know what the racers did was wrong…but I can't let them suffer like this…especially the new characters…" Ralph would respond as he'd walk into the tunnel
"Well we're coming too…" Felix and Calhoun would follow him in
(Meanwhile)
Akio and Marcy would stop at the base of Diet Cola Mountain
"What did you want to talk about Marcy?" Akio would ask
Marcy would look at the ground. "To say I'm sorry…"
"About what?"
"About doing exactly what Vanellope told me to do…and forcing you and Lodhi to do it aswell…"
"Marcy it's alright…you don't have to apologize…"
"I have to…look at what my actions did…everyone on Torvald's side is either dead, dying or being tested on…and I know how much Torvald meant to Lodhi…and I could barely sleep last night because I kept thinking about how I let my emotions get the better of me…and instead of focusing on the small group responsible for Annie being in a coma I went and took it out on Torvald's whole side!"
Akio would put a hand on her shoulder. "You can still make things right…"
"How?" Marcy would ask
"Lodhi is planning something…he could use someone like you to get inside information…I'm doing my part in distracting most of Vanellope's minions…Phipps is busy helping Lodhi find different access points to the castle…plus you could cause all sorts of chaos for Vanellope…"
"I'm not sure Akio…"
"You said you wanted to make things right…"
"I do!"
"Then here's your shot…make it count…"
They'd both hear engines roaring nearby
"See ya Marcy…" Akio would take off running
Marcy would look at the ground and walk away
(Back at the castle)
Torvald would sit on a chair with 4 buttons infront of her and would be forced to look through the giant observation window
She'd be horrified seeing Minty, Sticky and Herschel bound to racks
Having seen what happened to Taffyta barely 15 minutes earlier
"How this works is simple…" Vanellope would begin to explain her twisted little game. "I'll ask you a few multiple choice questions…answer correct…and nothing happens to them…answer wrong…they get stretched…get too many questions wrong…and they'll die like Taffyta…"
Torvald would shake nervously. "Just kill me…let them go…"
Vanellope would chuckle. "I don't have plans to kill you…and unless you want to watch all 3 die right here and now you'll play my game…"
Torvald would tremble
Vanellope would chuckle again. "So are you going to play?"
Torvald would nod still trembling.
Vanellope would grin. "Wise choice…"
Down in the cell Herschel, Minty and Sticky would hear Torvald and Vanellope's conversation
"N-n-n-no…I don't want to be a contestant!" Sticky would scream
Vanellope would lean on the side of Torvald's chair and look at her clipboard
"Question 1…when were we plugged in?"
"15 years ago…" Torvald would answer nervously
Vanellope would reveal a remote and press the large red button on it
Herschel, Sticky and Minty would get stretched on the rack
All 3 would scream
"That's the right answer!" Torvald would shout looking on horrified
"I want the day and month…" Vanellope would press the button again and the wheels on the racks would stop rotating
Sticky would tremble
Minty and Herschel would pull at their restraints
Torvald would ponder for a few brief moments. "It was the 6th of January…I remember watching a blizzard from GCS…"
"Correct…" Vanellope would cross the question off. "Question 2…how many race wins did I have before Turbo's takeover?"
Torvald would look at Vanellope nervously
Vanellope would tilt her head. "You don't remember? The arcade was closed on our first day…and we raced all day…that night Turbo took over…and made my life a living hell…"
Torvald would silently look down at the 3 petrified racers
"Tick tock Torvald…I want an answer…"
"I-i-i-it w-w-was 6 r-r-right?" Torvald would respond fear very present in her voice
"Wrong…I had 7…you had 6…" Vanellope would press the button on her remote
Herschel, Minty and Sticky would be stretched further
Sticky would let out a terror shriek
Vanellope would press the button again. "Anymore and it'll dislocate their bones…I suggest you ace these next questions…"
"H-h-h-h-how many do I have?" Torvald would ask
"I won't tell…" Vanellope would respond with a huge grin plastered on her face
Down in the cell below them the racers would start pleading
"Please Princess! I don't want to die! I'll do anything!" Sticky would scream
"Let her go! I was the idiot! Don't punish her for my mistake!" Minty would plea
"Vanellope! Do whatever you want to me! Just let Sticky go!" Herschel would plea
Vanellope would laugh evilly. "Such compassion…such love…makes all this even better…"
Vanellope would look at her clipboard. "Question 3…what position was Swizzle in when Herschel spun out in the final race of the tournament 2 months ago?"
"Trick question he was already out of the race by that point in time…" Torvald would respond
"Correct…question 4…on what lap did Swizzle drop from the race?"
"At the very end of lap 1…he was crossing the line when a Sweet Seeker hit him…"
"Correct again…last question…if points had been awarded during the first day of racing for the newbies…how many points would've Annie scored?"
Torvald would ponder trying to remember Annie's 5 finishes. "…She won once…and finished on the podium all 5 times…"
"Yea she did…but I want the exact amount of points she would've had…remember since we were 20 racers our points system would've awarded 20 points for first…19 for second…and so and so for…and dead last would've received 1…"
"She must have had 88 points?"
"Wrong…-Vanellope would press the red button again stretching the 3 racers below them-…she finished 3rd at Silverstone…4th at Monza…3rd at Spa…1st at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve…then 5th at Bahrain…she would've had a total of 89 points…you were off by one…"
Below them the 3 racers would scream as they'd stretch and stretch
-POP-
Their arms would begin to dislocate
All 3 would scream in pain
-more sickening POPS-
Their knees would dislocate
"Vanellope please! Just stop! I beg you! Do whatever you want to me! Just let them go!" Tears would begin escaping Torvald's eyes
Vanellope would grin and toss her clipboard away. "Have I finally broken through that hard shell of yours?" She'd wipe a few tears off of Torvald's face
"Please Princess! I beg you! Show mercy to them! Do it to me instead!" More tears would escape her eyes as the Herschel, Minty and Sticky would scream in agony as they'd be stretched ever further
"Don't do it! Please!"
Vanellope would grin and make Torvald look through the observation window
"Shh…I want you to watch this…"
As if on cue Sticky would split in half at the waist line
She'd shriek loudly one last time before the light would quickly fade from her eyes
Minty's limbs would tear off
She too would shriek before everything would go dark
Herschel would feel his limbs coming off
His short yet eventful life would flash before his eyes
He'd feel his limbs tear off
He'd hear Torvald screaming
Everything would go dark quickly
Vanellope would let go of Torvald who'd cry
Vanellope would grin. "Remember…you led them down this path…what happened to them…is on you…" Vanellope would leave the room as a guard would enter
He'd unstrap Torvald and drag her down to the Fungeon
They'd walk pass the cell containing the bodies of Herschel, Minty and Sticky
Guards would be taking their heads off and throwing their limbs into black garbage bags to be disposed in Diet Cola Mountain
Torvald would close her eyes in a vain attempt to stop her tears. "I'm sorry…I'm sorry….I'm sorry…"
The guard would throw her into the deepest, darkest and cold cell
"Welcome to your new home…" He'd slam the cell door and walk away
Torvald would curl up on the floor and just break down
Vanellope would sit on her thrown and receive a call from an Oreo Guard
"Yes?"
"Princess…Ralph, Felix and Calhoun are approaching the game…what do you want us to do?"
"Let them in…I knew I couldn't hide this forever…but it's too late for them to do anything now…"
"As you wish…" The guard would hang up as Vanellope would call Jubileena, Snowanna, Swizzle, Rancis and Nougetsia.
"All of you in my throne room now…we have visitors…I need you all here incase something goes wrong…"
"As you wish…" All 5 would respond in unison
(Meanwhile)
Ralph, Felix and Calhoun would walk through the entrance and would be shocked to see a row of Oreo guards standing on both sides of the bridge
"D-d-d-d-did she know we were coming?" Felix would ask
Calhoun would notice Jubileena, Nougetsia, Snowanna, Rancis and Swizzle driving up to the castle gates and running inside
"Stay alert…don't let your guards down…and for fucks sake don't tick her off…from what I've seen on the footage and from what Akio told us…it's clear she's not stable…and one wrong move could get us killed…"
"Vanellope would never do that…" Ralph would state
"Wreck-it…when people lose control and spiral as far down as she did…there's no line they won't cross…"
Felix would gulp as they'd cautiously walk up the castle entrance
The doors would already be open for them
"I-I-I-I-I've got a bad feeling about this…" Felix would gulp
They'd walk down the dimly lit main hall towards the throne room
Oreo guards would stay firm, stiff and silent on either side of them
Felix would tremble a little as they'd enter the dark throne room the only source of light being a few torches on the walls and those above Vanellope
It'd just be enough for the 3 to see the head's beside Vanellope's throne
The only part of Vanellope that would be visible would be her 2 hands clamped on the edges of her arm rests
"And I almost thought you wouldn't show…" Vanellope would speak in her deep dark voice instead of her eerily sweet one
Felix would jump and cower behind Calhoun and Ralph
Ralph would puke upon seeing the heads
Calhoun would look at the heads then at the area she'd assume Vanellope's throne would be
"I guess that execution joke you made when your code was restored was more than just a joke…"
"Don't tell me your surprised sergeant…" Vanellope would state her voice still deep and dark
She'd suddenly pick Taffyta's head of the table and hold in both hands
"You honestly thought I'd let them off the hook for what they did?"
The only visible part of her would be her to hands holding Taffyta's head
Ralph would wipe his mouth. "You….you…you….you mean to tell me…that everything you told me…was just…a lie?!"
"I knew you wouldn't help me…hell…I knew if I told you my plans…you might have helped Turbo kill me…"
"You used me!"
"I didn't even need you…when they destroyed my home made kart…that was nothing but an extra…that night I had planned to kill them all…you just simply altered my plans…"
"I thought you were a sweet little girl! You made me feel like a hero instead of the bad guy!"
"Ralph…I once was a sweet little girl…10 years ago that part of me died…jumped off of the Rainbow Bridge…and gave birth to a whole new me…a me that I love…"
"So that kart we made together…the friendship we built…was all lies?!"
"Ralph…you never were my friend…to me…your just a big…fat…wrecking ball with arms…that just so happened to stumble into our game at the right time…"
Ralph's eyes would go wide, his jaw would drop and he'd take the medal that Vanellope made him out of his pocket
"Then what was this for?"
"Simple…you help me reclaim my game…in return I replaced that stupid medal you came for…"
"Your not the girl I met! Where's the real Vanellope?!"
Vanellope would suddenly stand and take a few steps down the stairs
Felix, Calhoun and Ralph would see the only difference from the girl they met was that she just grew older
"You all think I was taken over by something? None of you could see through my lies…that's what made you perfect…the perfect gullible fools…"
Ralph would take a few steps forward only to hear guns being drawn
All 3 would look around to see Rancis, Swizzle, Jubileena, Nougetsia and Snowanna walking out of the shadows their weapons drawn
"One more step…and none of you escape this game alive…" Vanellope would put her hand out. "I believe you have a memory key that belongs to me…I'll be needing that back…"
Calhoun would toss it over as Swizzle would shoot the small computer on her arm
"Sorry for the damage…we can't have any traces of this…-Vanellope would hold the memory key as she'd sit back down on her throne-…now…what to do with you 3…"
"You can't do anything that would put your game in serious trouble…"
"It's not my game that's in danger…" Vanellope would state
"What do you?"
Felix phone would go off and he'd answer
A few moments later he look up from his phone horrified
"O-o-our game's glitching and the outer reaches are starting to disappear!" He'd shout
"How?" Ralph would ask
Vanellope would chuckle. "Remember your party about a month ago?"
-Flashback-
Everyone would be dancing on the top floor
Characters from all over the arcade would be there
Vanellope would look at Ralph. "Where's the restroom around here?"
"There's a public one down the hall…"
"Thanks Ralph!" Vanellope would run out
"Idiot…" She'd mutter to herself as she'd go to the bottom floor
"Now if I were a code room…where would I hide?"
She'd see a janitor's closet. "Willing to bet it's in there…I've never seen a janitor character before…"
She'd open the door and wouldn't be surprised to see the code room
"Good thing they don't have any locks or security measures in place…"
She'd enter and float to the middle of it and place a small device barely suppressing her laughter
"I actually hope they find out…destroying a game sounds fun…"
-End Flashback-
"You…you…you were willing to destroy my game?!" Ralph would shout
"Still am too…" Vanellope could be concealed in the darkness again
"Even though you may not see it…I have here a remote that controls the device…here's how things are going to go…you tell anyone about this…your game dies…you come back here…your game dies…you try to remove the device…let's just say I made it so I'm the only one who can…approach my subjects in GCS in any sort of way besides a friendly manner…your game dies…you try anything and I mean anything on me…your game dies…I do not want to see either of you 3 in my game again…this is my world…and I have problems to tend to…I do not need you helping my enemies…"
"You can't do this to them!" Ralph would shout
"I can and I have…now leave my game…before I change my mind…"
Ralph would go to say something but Calhoun would pull him back. "We are leaving…there's nothing more to be said…"
Calhoun, Ralph and Felix would turn to leave
"Oh and before you leave…"
All 3 would turn to see her taking Sticky's head of the table
"Take this as a reminder…that I'm being deadly serious…"
Suddenly out of the darkness Sticky's let eye would fly into Calhoun's hands
Felix and Ralph would puke as Calhoun would but the eye in a protective jar. "As you wish Princess…"
She'd leave Felix and Ralph close behind them
Oreo guards would escort them back to GCS
They'd turn and leave
Ralph would fall to his knees and sob
Feelings of sadness and betrayal would tear at him
(Back in Sugar Rush)
Jubileena, Rancis, Swizzle, Nougetsia and Snowanna would all kneel infront of the stairs leading to Vanellope's throne
"Now that they are taken care of…find Akio…and bring him to me…alive…"
"As you wish Princess…" All 5 would respond in unison and leave
Vanellope would watch them on a monitor
"hehehe….hehehe…MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" She'd laugh evilly
(Down in the Fungeon)
Torvald would sit on her prison bed
Her hands would cover her eyes as she'd continue crying
She'd suddenly feel a hand on her shoulder
She'd look over and would be surprised to see Marcy
"…I'm sorry…"
Torvald would hug her tight tears flowing from her eyes
Marcy would silently put her arms around Torvald
Knowing now wasn't the time for words
