Hi guys. So I wanted to make this bit to help clarify what's been going on and what will happen to the story.
Long story short- life for me is and has been getting a lot busier than I would rather it be. When I started writing this, I was still in highschool. And to be honest, I was using this as a way to cope with a very emotionally traumatizing and scarring event that happened to me. I practically threw myself into writing this for about two-ish years straight.
However as time went on, I started recovering and also, unfortunately, stopped kind of caring about the story. A combination of being bored with it, and my desire to keep it as lore friendly as I could, started becoming impossible as the lore was and still is being constantly reworked in a fashion that I cannot keep up with it anymore and meet my own expectations.
Then I took a fictional writing class a few semesters ago that I thought would help reinvigorate the spark I had for this story. And it did reinvigorate the spark, but it also made me change my mind and made me wanting to write my own piece of fiction. A piece of fiction that deals with ideas and stories of Myths that are already set in stone, which makes it easier to be more "lore friendly" since the lore itself isn't and won't change any time soon. Because of this newfound drive, I have been working on a book for almost a year at this point.
I say this without 100% uncertainty, but I do wish to come back to this and finish it. I have the ideas and the rest of the story all planned out for the most part, I just don't have the time, or really patience to tussle with the lore anymore (I mean hell, when I started writing this, Summoners were still a cannon thing in the universe).
But yeah, I just wanted to leave this update here. It may be the final update I do for this story as it fades into obscurity. Or it may become finished and partially reworked at one point or another. Who knows?
Hopefully this helps explain things to the people that read this still and were wondering where it's gone.
