It felt like an eternity that Harry watched the sun rise and move across the sky to where it was now setting. The sunset lit the room orange that clashed with the maroon colors of the room to make it seem like an inferno engulfed the space. The fire, however, was only seen and not felt. It was cool; a comforting chill, a soothing chill. 'How can I think a room that I'm trapped in is comforting and soothing?' Harry thought to himself. "Although I undoubtingly have the best prison than any prisoner before me.'

A small pop of the house elf diverted Harry's mind from his previous thoughts. "Gering has brought Master Potter dinner." The elf said as he vanished the cold, untouched lunch from the table beside the window, that Harry didn't notice from the day before, and replaced it with a new, hot meal. "Thank you Gering." Harry said quietly and the elf bowed, vanishing with the same pop that he arrived with.

He should have been hungry, having not eaten since he was at the cabin 2 days ago. However hunger evaded him, and years with the Dursely's made him use to not eating a lot. This meal as well, was to remain untouched. Voldemort might get pissed off that Harry wasn't eating, but just because Harry agreed not escape, didn't mean he wasn't going to annoy and deny the man. More like monster.

Was he a man? He certainly appeared as one, but how? Since his return in the graveyard 3 years ago Voldemort has been a freaky cross between a snake and a man. 'Probably found a way to get his old form back, or it's glamour he's using to try to make me think differently of him.'

Many questions now raced through Harry's mind, many more then what he was thinking. What did Voldemort plan for him? Would his friends be alright and safe? What was Ginny do-

'Who cares what she is doing.' The now familiar voice whispered to him.

'I care, so leave me alone.' Harry rolled onto his side, facing the undecorated wall the still looked like an inferno.

'Can't do that, we will only get closer, closer then ever before.'

'How come I've never heard you before? If you have been me since Voldemort tried to kill me the why... why are you only now talking to me?'

The other's voice was silent for a moment. 'You were... protected from me. I have always been next to your soul, better never able to touch it... until now.'

'My mothers love...'

'It wasn't love! It was magic; old ancient magic. But the shield is gone now, whatever the magic Lily Potter used is now gone.'

'How? When? Dumbledore said that the protection was gone once I left the Dursely's, so why only now?'

'The old man was a fool. He does not know the magic at work here, he knew nothing. Dumbledore never touched the ancient magic, and this was very old magic. The protection around your "house" may have disappeared, but the magic keeping us apart stayed. When our creator tried to kill you he broke the shield.'

'Shouldn't the killing curse have killed me? Shouldn't you have died our second year as well? The basilisk venom is supposed to kill horcruxes.'

'Ah.. Before the shield broke it was you who was protecting me. If you had died, I would have died. You still are protecting me while we become one.''

'Then why didn't I die when Voldemort tried to kill me?'

'When the shield broke I could then touch your soul and was able to take the curse for you. Since you couldn't die, neither could I.'

'How do you explain my meeting with Dumbledore? Was it real?'

'It was... but I have no way of explaining how that was able to happen...'

Harry opened his eyes that he hadn't realized were closed. 'You were in a lot of pain...'

'It was painful; you only felt a fraction of what I did.'

Harry couldn't help but wince as he imagined the pain the horcrux felt, not that he should really care.

The voice said nothing more after that and the room became dark. Moonlight lighting the room just enough for him to see, the house elf returned and took his uneaten dinner.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.

He had looked through every book, every note that he's ever found or written about horcruxes and nothing. He only knew one thing about Harry Potter... he was a horcrux... an incomplete one. Tom couldn't find anything that would tell him how to complete the horcrux. But was Harry a truly incomplete horcrux? Was a living horcrux supposed to be like this? Tom doubted this, but needed to find something that would help him find the answer he needed. He had time however, his little horcrux wasn't going anywhere.

Tom relaxed into the chair at his desk, closing the book he had opened. He took out his wand and examined it, then took out Potter's broken wand and Draco's wand from his pocket. Placing Malfoy's wand to the side he pick up the elder wand that was placed on the desk earlier. He was not the elder wands master, yet the wand still worked for what he needed. He then placed Potter's wand in the center of his desk.

Pointing the elder wand at Potter's broken wand he spoke, "Reparo."

Slowly the wand connected back together, fixing it. Tom placed the elder wand back down onto the desk and took the Holly wand into his hand. The wands master was still Potter, however he could feel his own connection with the wand. The wand was undoubtingly light, yet, deep within the magic of the wand he sensed something... a darkness, a darkness that belonged to the master of this wand.

"Gering."

A soft pop and a house elf appeared, bowing low. "You called Master."

"What has Potter been doing all day?" Tom asked, still examining Potter's wand.

"Master Potter has been in bed all day, staring out the window." The elf replied.

"Has he eaten?"

"No master, he has not moved from the bed, not at all touching the food Gering has given him." Tom hissed in annoyance as the house elf answered him, causing the house elf to shudder in fear.

"Tomorrow have him up and dressed to join me for breakfast. Seeing as he will not eat on his own he shall eat with me." Tom placed Potters wand and the others back into his robes and waved the house elf away. "Yes Master." The house said with a bow as he popped away.

Tom glanced at the clock. Just passed midnight. Tom had the nights before visited Potter in his sleep. Last night he had tried to close the link as much as he could, but still Potter felt pain. It was a lot less then when he left the link open the first night he visited him, even though Potter was awake he couldn't suppress his reaction from the pain. Tom would also have to look into that as well. 'But for now I shall sleep.' While Tom didn't need as much sleep as the normal wizard did, despite what most would think, Dark Lords need sleep as well.

"The place you will be staying known only to the old Hogwarts staff. Once you leave I'll obliviate myself of its location and so will the others. This way if anyone does come after you they will have no way of getting your location." McGonagall said to the five wizards in front of her. "You do what needs to be done, and if need anything from us use this," She pulled out a small navy blue box, "This will allow you to send word to us, but only use it if you truly need it. I don't know how much longer it will last."

"We will be careful Headmistress." Hermione said. "Ah, but Miss Granger, I do not believe I will be Headmistress for much longer." Hermione glanced at those with her. Luna, Neville and Ginny were coming with her and Ron to find Harry. "You will still be to use, and everyone else." Then they took their leave as the first alarm went off that the Death Eaters had returned.

"We must do this quickly Minerva, then we will give the Death Eaters a fight still." Flitwick said as all the staff gathered together in the Headmasters office. "Protect the children, we must not allow anymore deaths this day." They held the hands of those next to them and stood in a circle. "Ready everyone?" They all nodded and then spoke in unison.

"Obliviate."

"Master Harry must wake up. He is requested for breakfast in the dinning hall."

Harry groaned, despite his efforts to stay awake last night he still fell asleep. "I don't have a choice do I?" Harry asked looking at the elf who shook his head no.

"You are to shower and dress then go to dining hall. Gering has left Master Potter's clothes at the end of the bed." And with that the house elf disappeared.

"Great.. just what I wanted. Breakfast with my worst enemy.

There's no way this could go bad."
