Day at the Beach
The gang arrive at the beach around ten in the morning with an overly hyper Justin with them.
The girls pick a spot while the guys carried the cooler, balls, etc.
Zhane whines as they got to the selected spot.
"Why did we have to carry all the stuff?"
Each one of the girls turn to glare at Zhane.
TJ puts his hand on Zhane's shoulder and speaks softly.
"Dude, they might me rangers and touch as hell, but its manners on Earth to carry stuff for ladies."
Cassie grins and turns to an equally smiling Ashley.
"We trained them well huh Ash."
"Yep after what seven years of training." laughs Ashley.
Carlos sets down his load, grabs Ash, and gives her a noogie.
Ashley squeals and runs away from him.
The girls get to work setting out the towels and putting coolers and bags in the right places.
The gang is in the most isolated place of the beach surrounded by trees and rocks.
This way they could leave quickly and morph if need be, no one could see them from here.
Once everything is set Justin pulls off his shirt and runs for the water.
"Boys! Go with him! I don't want him out there alone." orders Ashley.
TJ, Carlos, and Zhane followed Justin in suit.
Andros just stays and stares out at the ocean to see TJ tackling Justin into the water.
"You can go and hang out with them Andros." Ashley says softly.
As if she didn't want him to take it the wrong way.
Andros shrugs his shoulders,
'He's not used to beaches." speaks Karone as she lies on a towel next to Cassie.
Both of them had stripped from their sundresses and were wearing bikini's that matched their ranger color. All of the boys were wearing suits that matched their color too. (Justin was wearing his former ranger color -blue-)
Andros glares at his sister and opens his mouth to protest but Ash bet him to it.
"That's okay Andros, you can sit here and relax with us if you don't mind girl talk." Ash smiles.
Andros let out a small laugh. "I grew up with Karone, I'm used to girl talk."
The girls giggle and start chatting away as Andros sits on his towel.
About half an hour later Cassie stands and drags Karone into the cold ocean.
Ashley just laughs them and leans back on her towel.
She is still wearing her sundress, as if she wasn't ready the shed her protective skin.
"Come in Ashley. Andros!" call Justin.
Ashley smiles and shakes her head.
She turns to look at Andros who she found is looking at her.
"You can go into the water if you like." He said almost replaying the words she told him earlier.
Ash shakes her head again and stares at her feet.
"What's wrong Ash?"
Andros places a hand on her shoulder and tugs her to look at him.
Finally she did and the broken look on her face hurt his heart.
"I just….. don't like my body It has a lot of scars from Ecliptor."
Andros puts a soft smile on his face.
"Ash, you're beautiful for who you are. You shouldn't hide, not from us at least."
Ashley smiles up at him and Andros opens his arms for her to hug him, and she does.
As he pulls away, Andros stands up and takes off his shirt.
Once he threw it down he caught Ash starring at him in awe.
Andros holds out his hand for her.
"Come on, it's okay!"
Meanwhile the two of them don't notice the other rangers frozen in the water watching them.
Ash looks as if she was going to say no but takes a breath and takes his hand.
Andros pulls Ash up to her feet and takes a step back.
She closes her eyes and removes her sundress and lets it fall onto her towel.
Shockingly there she stands up wearing a two piece like the other girls, but instead of plain yellow. The suit is yellow with a beautiful red rose on the left of her chest, right above her heart.
Andros had to shake his head from his thoughts.
"Ready?"
Ashley nods her head.
"Together?" she asks with a small voice.
"Always." Andros replies.
At once Andros and Ashley runs to the water, and once out of the shallow side they dive together into the deep ocean, hands intertwined.
Both of them burst back to the surface laughing, Ash splashes Andros and dives back under the water to get away from his attacks.
The other Rangers finally become un-frozen and start laughing at their friends.
Cassie turns to Karone and asks "How much longer?"
Karone just smiles "Can't be too long, those two have been dodging each other for too long."
The guys just nod.
After a while the gang retreats to the towels and eat some lunch.
Zhane just moans into a sandwich that he handed.
"This is amazing! Who made these?"
"Ashley."
The Earth Rangers beside Ash all replied in sync.
"When did you have time to do this?" Karone asks.
Ash just shrugs. "I made them last night, I couldn't sleep."
Cass looks over at Ash with a knowing look.
Andros just kept his head down as he wonder what would keep her from sleeping and how he could help.
Why am I so worried about her? Andros wonders.
Maybe because you care about her. A little voice in his head tells him.
Andros shakes his head and continues to eat the strange Earth food.
It's been awhile since Ashley finally got him to try their style of food.
He had grown a liking to it.
I wonder how she managed to get me to try it. Then again she doesn't have to say or do much and I'm bending to her every will. Andros grins.
The gang has finished eating and all of the guys went across the beach to play with the Frisbee.
The girl's just lay out on the towels and giggles at the guys.
Ash shakes her head at Andros who the others "forgot" to explain him out to play or every throw the disk.
She gets up and walks over to him as he stands there a little confused.
TJ notice Ash coming up from behind and calls out to Andros then throws the disk at him.
Andros panicked and right before the Frisbee hits him square in the face, he ducks.
The disk flies above his head and straight toward Ash.
Ash throws her body into a back hand-spring, then jumps up and catches the disk one handed.
Her right eyebrow was raised with a cocky grin on her face.
"Did you guys forget to teach Andros how to play?"
The boys sheepishly nods.
Ash just laughs and hands the Frisbee to Andros, and show him how to throw the disk with displaying the movement with her own arm.
Ash shakes her head and walks up behind him, grabs he hand and rearranged his fingers around the toy. Then she moves his arm in the correct movement.
Andros smiles at her and throws the disk into the air.
Carlos takes off towards it, as the disk wobbles in the air.
Andros glares at it and the disk suddenly flies perfectly.
Carlos jumps up and caught it and shouts to Andros.
"Nice one man!"
The others continue the game while Ashley turns to him and puts her hands on her hips.
"You cheated."
He shrugs "I didn't mean too."
She smiles and seemed to get lost in thought.
"Do you think you could teach me to do that?"
Andros smiles and nods.
"If you try you hardest I'm sure you can do it."
"Really?"
"Yeah, how about we start tonight?"
She nods.
The two walk back to the towels and lay down with Cassie and Karone, they all watch to four boys run around and play with the Frisbee for a few more hours before they were all tried and wanted to go home.
