A.N: HOLY DUCK I'M BACK! It has been a long time, and most of the people who read this before probably don't care about it anymore, but I'm gonna finish this anyways. When I started this story I had no idea where I was going with it, and kind of dug myself into a hole. Hopefully I can get out of it, or at least make it seem not as bad. If you're still with me on this journey, thank you, and I hope you enjoy the rest of this story.

My plan wasn't much. In fact, it had a lot of holes in it, but the important bits were covered. I hoped that Kevin would understand me wanting to invite Nazz to the party, but if he doesn't want her there, I could just tell her to come anyways. I hoped that Nazz hates conflict as much as I do, and that after calling her out in front of the entire cul-de-sac she might just leave Marie and I be. After all, we would have quite a big support group behind the two of us.

When Thursday came around, I was still confident that my plan would work out perfectly. That was until Nazz decided to check up on me again at my home. I heard the doorbell ring after I got home from school, and sure enough Nazz was right outside the door.

"Heya Double D! How have things been since we last talked?" she asked in her chipper attitude. She was wearing leggings, which I found strange in the colder weather, and a long sleeve red shirt with a logo on it that I hadn't seen before.

"They've been pretty good actually, Kevin planned a party for me on Saturday, so I'll be able to see all of my old friends together again!" I said cheerfully. Nazz took on a visibly disgusted look at the mention of Kevin before returning to a joyful look.

"I'm sorry, Double D, I don't think I can make it that day, but I'll be happy to hang with you later if you want."

"I'd have to think about it, but are you sure you don't just want to stop by?" I asked. She thought for a split second before replying.

"Probably not, I have a full day of cheer practice and whatnot. But anyway, I wanted to make sure the whole situation between you and Marie was alright, did you find out about what she said?" I sighed, hoping that I wouldn't have to deal with this right now.

"No, I'm pretty sure that she was talking about a joke or something like that."

"Are you sure? Just bring it up with her just in case."

"I'm sure it's fine, Nazz, just trust me on this one." I replied, trying to make her drop it.

"Is it alright if I come in? Just to talk to you about this whole situation." Nazz said seriously. I took a second to consider it before letting her in. She sat on my couch and I sat in the chair next to it before she started on her talk.

"Ok, so I've tried to tell you and be respectful and all, but I need to tell you this. Marie is planning something bad for you. I don't know what it is, but I'm worried about what it might be and I just want to look out for you." I looked at her trying to go along with this whole story, but I already had my mind set.

"Why do you think she would want to do that? What would she have against me?"

"She's probably mad that you left so suddenly, she can hold a grudge for a long time."

"Then why become my friend? It seems very unlike Marie to not just act out instantly on an impulse." I said already tired of her stories.

"She's gotten smarter, Double D. I've heard she's in a lot of advanced classes." Nazz said, trying to grasp at a story that wasn't there in the first place.

"But your intelligence doesn't affect your attitude or mindset. You can still have a smart person not think about their decisions. As smart as Marie may be, she also reacts rather fast to things happening. So tell me, Nazz, why are you telling me these things when I'm assuring you that it's alright?" Nazz seemed puzzled at what I was asking.

"I'm worried about you, Double D, that's all."

"Nazz, you know that I've been talking with Marie for a while now, so surely I have enough information on her intentions with me. So tell me then, why are you trying so hard to start drama between Marie and I?" Nazz looked stunned like a deer in headlights as she realized I not only caught onto her lies, but called her out for it. She just sighed and put her head down.

"I was hoping you would just hear me out. I'm sure Marie has told you a little bit about what happened between me and her."

"I've heard it, yes."

"Well she was a bitch too, you know!" Nazz snapped at me. "Sorry, it's just that I know she's probably told you her side of the story, but I want you to know my side. She was not a nice person after you left, like, a really bad person. It was like her whole personality changed, and she became so bitter and hateful. She actually kind of caused a lot of my problems with the rest of the cul-de-sac kids too. The way she acted really made me think that she was kind of addicted to you in a way, and when you left it was kind of like a withdrawal. That's why I've been thinking that with you back she's gonna hurt herself, or even you with how she's gonna change. Just, please think about what you can do for her, because I don't want things to go bad again, especially not for you." Nazz finished, and I pondered over her words for a while before I questioned her again.

"How did she cause most of the problems between you and the cul-de-sac?"

"She just started drama between me and the others. It was especially bad with Kevin, she pretty much made him hate me with a passion."

"But how? What were the specifics, what kind of drama?"

"It's not that important, Double D." Nazz said, shying away from that topic.

"Look, you want me to believe you and to hear you out, but you're not giving me much to work with. So either tell me the details or stop telling me that Marie is doing something behind my back." Nazz remained silent, but I could see something stirring in her eyes. She had her head hung low looking at the ground, with her eyebrows lowered, a little annoyed. I heard a noise in my room, but assumed it was just a paper falling from my desk before turning my attention back to Nazz. "Please just don't lie to me, Nazz." I said genuinely, but she took that as something else.

"You know what? Sure, I was lying about a couple things." She almost shouted, jarring me a little as she got up from her seat and came toward me. "But she's caused a lot of trouble for me. I meant it when I said she was a bitch too, like, really meant it. Sure I shouldn't keep holding onto this grudge for as long as I have, but she made my life a living hell for so long. I lost so many friends, and it took me a long time to get back to the status I'm at today with the cheer team. I think it's time for some revenge." She smiled a devious smirk as she stood above me. I was worried for what she was planning, and just how to get myself out of this situation, but I didn't have time. "I'm sorry you have to be in the middle of this, Double D, but maybe I can be a little nicer with you in the end."

"What are you...where are you planning on going with this?" I said, annoyed at her cocky attitude but mostly confused as to what part I was going to play in her plan.

"Let's say that I let all my popular cheerleader friends know that I stopped by your house. And let's say that I tell them we had a little fun without Marie knowing." I wanted to stand up and get her out of my house, but with her standing above me I didn't want to shove her away, since that might give her fuel to accuse me of something else on top of this.

"Why would you do this just to be petty? Marie is done causing you problems, you're not going to get anything from this." I said, trying anything to get her away from me. She sat down on my lap with a grin as her response. Immediately my heart rate jumped up as the effect of a fight or flight response that would have to be left unanswered. I was paralysed with fear, and I knew that whatever I were to do she could come up with a lie to cover for it. She had me cornered. "Nazz…"

"I like revenge, alright Double D? But I like to have my fun too. I find you pretty cute, so I have a solution for you: we have our fun, and I will keep my mouth shut. You have my word." She finished off, her eyes staring at me like she was a huntress and I was her prey, and it unsettled me to my core. I hoped that I would find words, movement, anything to get me out of this situation, but my mind was blank. Her grin widened every second I remained silent, as she realized I was having trouble getting out of this situation. After a few seconds I started to think of ways out of this, or to possibly eat away at the time so I could properly get out of this spot.

"Nazz, I'm not going to do this. I'm not gonna break my loyalty." I managed to get out. Nazz just laughed and put her hands on my shoulders.

"Oh Edd, you're such a good boyfriend. Loyalty is such a cute trait too, I love it." She said as she started to run her hands down onto my chest. "You're really smart, Double D, but there's just one problem. You were playing a game of chess and you didn't even realize it, so you left your king open for me to come in and put it in checkmate. Or should I say your queen? Either way, I have you cornered, and now you're going lose. Of course, I left you a way out, and it's still open if you want to take it." Nazz spoke as she ran her hands down to my stomach now. I grabbed her hands before she could go any lower and held them above her head.

"Stop. Just stop what you're doing, I'm not going to fall for what you want, and I will find a way out. Please just leave my house." I firmly said, but clearly Nazz was unphased as she just laughed and faced off with me.

"You're smart, Edd, that's why I came by to check up on you. I wasn't sure if you had bought my lie, so I came up with a backup plan just to make sure I could get my revenge, and oh boy this is some great revenge. What do you think Marie would say if she heard you weren't as loyal as she thought you were? And the worst part of the whole situation, that you cheated on her with me?"

"I'll call her before you can get to her, there's no way she'd believe you." I replied back, finally feeling like I could gain some traction in this battle.

"And tell her what? That you let me in your house even though you knew I was a dirty liar? Who's to say you didn't have some fun with me while I was here? It's what I say versus what you say, Edd, and I know a lot more people who can spread a lie than you do who will spread the truth. So even if by some chance Marie believes you completely, your reputation will be destroyed here, so good luck being successful your senior year of high school." My heart sank at what she was saying. Pretty much all that small traction I had gained was lost just as quickly as it was won. While I was sure Marie would believe me over Nazz, I also wouldn't be surprised if she doubted me a little. The whole situation doesn't sound good from any perspective. She was also right about my final year, I probably wouldn't be accepted into any prestigious club that could help on a college application and who knows what else might happen. I was completely trapped between a rock and a hard place with no foreseeable way out.

"You're such a manipulator. And a bitch." Nazz threw her head back in laughter at that.

"Yes I am, but it's sooo much fun to be both." She said before leaning in toward my face. I tried to back away and hold her arms back further, but I still had a couch behind me keeping me in place. Just before she made contact, I turned my head as a last ditch effort to prevent anything worse from happening, but unfortunately for me, it didn't matter what I did. Nazz worked around it and kissed my neck, grazing her teeth along my skin. I let go of her arms and shoved her off of me, not caring anymore about what she would accuse me of. I was scared of what more she would do if I didn't stop her. I got to the other side of the room as she picked herself up off the ground, laughing.

"See Double D? That was pretty fun! At least I found it fun, I kind of wish I had left a mark though, you know, for Marie." She said glancing at the left side of my neck. "But I'll still give you one more chance to get out of this before I leave and everything you and Marie know will come crashing down." Nazz said with a glare.

"I'm not gonna do anything with you, just leave now." I said as my heart was beating like mad. She seemed a little disappointed, but in the end she shrugged her shoulders and walked to the front door.

"I may still let you be with me after this is all over, who knows?" She said before she went out the door with a cackle. I was frozen in place for a second before finally trying to piece together what happened and what I should do. I grabbed my phone and dialed Marie's number, but it took me a few seconds before I hit call. What is she gonna think? Or say?

I hit call…

and heard her phone ringing in my house…

A.N: I'm back after so long, and I have written myself out of a hole and have an ending! I'd say about two more chapters before this whole saga ends! I hope you all like the next few chapters, and I hope you like what I did with this one too! If you find any errors, plot holes, or anything else that I missed, please tell me so I can fix it, and I hope you have a great rest of your day!
