Just to let others know, I haven't given up on writing my fanfics. My real life is keeping me completely busy and the hard drive for my laptop temporarily stopped working. I will say this. Once all the hard stuff on my life is dealt with, I will continue this story and finish this war once and for all. Although I will take a break from it to give the other stories a chance.
Without any ado, here is Chapter 29, enjoy!
Narrator: Previously on Dawn of Duel Monsters, when a weird hybrid duelist trapped the ship in a barrier, Shae mercilessly defeated the duelist as they venture out to assist in ending the war. Unknown to them and the remaining parties, Diabolos and the Commander begun an ambush leaving Jaune to deal with three duelists instead of one and Yang and Ruby going for a tag duel.

[Thunder clashed as monsters pour out from the land, sea and air. Zombies abruptly come up from the graveyard. Volcanoes erupted as Grimm ran to avoid their molten death. Multiple creatures came out and attack the city of Vale. Team JNPR attempt to fight off a giant T-rex as Yang is surrounded by raptors. In the skies, Weiss and Blake were trying to fight a green legless dragon in the Bullhead but was being trapped by lightning bolts. Ruby and Jaune then fall into a large portal as they called their friends for help.]
(Your move!)
[Ruby faces off a man in dark armor as she flows show bright red while the man in dark armor flows black and white. The camera then shows the man in dark armor on his throne while cards surround him like a shield. The scene switches to show a piece of armor fall off to reveal a small black pupil in its blood red eye.]

[The scenes then switch as it shows Weiss's face as she poses, Blake's face while pulling out Gambol Shroud, Yang's face in her semblance as she poises a punch, Team JNPR, Ozpin, Glynda, Ironwood, and Cinder with fire tracing her right eye]
[The screen cuts to Ruby as she draws a card to the sky bolts of lightning comes from the card as it reveals Elemental Heroes on the right, Junk Warrior, Junk Destroyer, Junk Archer, Turbo Warrior, and Chevalier de Fleur to the left, and finally Star Eater emerged from a star appearing at the top.]

(Flashback, Signer War Part 5)
Within the secret chamber of the leader, Diabolos witnessed the most bizarre individuals he has seen. These… Grimm from another Remnant are duelists. Duelists that are supposed to be some of the greatest strategists to live in any world involving Duel Monsters. But they are uncanny, behave too independently to his liking, and some have attitudes and look that are more human than Grimm.
One on the far left resembled an evil knight with spikes on the armor and helmet. Another was an armored Grimm with gaps on the armor, chainmail leggings, bone spike shoulder pads, fur boots, and a broad sword that normal men can't wield. Next to him was a Grimm wearing a gangster outfit with a jack-o-lantern as its face. Next to it was a large dark figure wearing a black trench coat, black pants, and a head ornament of an Ursa mouth as a helmet, dark skin, and sharp teeth. In the middle, a black figure with black pants along with a belt with spikes. The front of the shoes had snake fangs sticking out, a chest armor resembling a mouth with an eye directly sticking in the middle, shoulder pads that resembled masks filled with agony, and a jacket with multiple red orbs. It had red eyes with black pupils, and long black hair extending toward the waist. Another dark figure wearing chainmail, a black coat covering the mouth, a nevermore helmet, and arrows on the right shoulder. And the last one on the right looked like an actual human, were it not for the dark aura he emanates from within. Their names were: Grimm Wolf, Mid-Knight, Black Manic, Grand Kuma, Eddie Terror, Scar, and finally Mince.
"Heh-heh, so good to be back," Manic said gleefully.
"You can say that again Manic," Eddie said before looking to the person sitting on the throne.
"I'm guessing you're the head honcho the brought us back to life," Grimm Wolf questioned.
"Not with my power alone, but yes," Diabolos spoke in a deadpan tone.
"On behalf of us fellow Grimm we thank you," Mid-Knight thanked with a bow.
"And now we have returned, we will finish what we've started," Kuma declared, "Destroying humanity and killing the humans that have ended us."
"Unfortunately for you all… you won't have that chance," Diabolos spoke to all of them, "If you thought I would bring back to satiate your desires, then you're nothing but fools. I brought you here to help us in the war."
"I'm sorry, but a war? Since when are we designed for war?" Mince asked.
"Since today actually," Diabolos answered, "And it involves a few people. People that were the huntsmen you all were trying to take care of," Diabolos then listed the targets, "Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladonna, Yang Xiao Long, Jaune Arc, Pyrrha Nikos, Lie Ren, and Nora Valkyrie. Do those names ring a bell?"
The Grimm duelists were utterly silent when those names are heard to their ears. Those names, familiar or not, were the ones that they were ordered to track down and stop from intervening with their plans. Names that made some seethe in their teeth.
"Are you telling us that they are participating in this war," Grimm Wolf asked.
"Yes. Flesh and blood. Without any restrictions," Diabolos answered again as some Grimm smiled on such opportunities, "However. Unlike you're… Grimm, you are under my command. You will do my and my master's bidding to the last letter, and in return, you shall have your revenge."
"Such a commanding tone from someone who brought us back to life," Manic spoke, "And what if we refuse?"
"Refuse?" Diabolos repeated, "You Grimm don't have a choice of refusing. All you have to do is follow orders. Nothing more and nothing less."
"Perhaps. But I recall, you are not our Liege. Maybe we could see if you are what you say," Manic challenged Diabolos.
"Don't even think about it. It would be a waste of our time," Diabolos said demonstrating his statement.
Diabolos merely jumped from his throne and stood in front of Black Manic. He thrusted an armored hand into Manic's body, where a human heart would be placed in, and clenched his fist. Manic cried so loud, it echoed in the room as the Grimm duelists looked at Diabolos in shock and those close took a step back.
"Still want to challenge me?" Diabolos asked the pained Grimm.
"I was… merely… joking," Manic spoke in a pained tone, "Now if you be kind to… put away your hand?"
Diabolos unceremoniously let go as Manic fell on one knee, grasping the area where pain inflicted a hundred fold.
"You may have your own individuality, but challenge or oppose me, I could always find it better when the Grimm are… obedient. Perhaps even more as mindless slaves," Diabolos warned them, "Does anyone else like to follow Manic's example?"
The remaining Grimm looked to each other, albeit uneasily, as the guy in front of them just incapacitated the craziest Grimm they had in mere seconds. In fact it was just now that they can feel his power in his proxy. Something more… evil than them. And they are meant to destroy humanity.
"…What is our roles," Mid-Knight finally asked before him.
"What else? War," Diabolos spoke returning to his throne.
Multiple screens appeared in front of the bipedal Grimm as they surveyed the war waged outside of the chamber. First, they saw a flying ship, bigger than what Atlas had ever made. Second, convoys of unfamiliar ships flew directly through a dark fog. Lastly, more importantly, was the sight of the wretched huntresses.
"My forces have shown that they have split upon six towers to finish in a blitzkrieg maneuver. By far, three towers are disabled by them and them alone. While our numbers are superior, our enemies' weaponry and tactical strikes showed incredible destructiveness," Diabolos summarized so far, "While they continue their advance, we will unleash a mighty counterattack that they'll never see. However, to do that we will need to deploy a secret force, meaning you, to disable or stall them."
Diabolos then begins to assign these… Grimm to their positions.
"Eddie Terror, you will taking on the giant ship. When that behemoth so much as breaks through the fog, use this," Diabolos then threw a small cube shining green at Eddie, "My scientists created this special device to halt any advancement. When you board that vessel, use this to place them in a temporal displacement field, making them unable to move."
"But won't they just destroy the cube?" Mince asked.
"They wouldn't because the device that Eddie has is unstable. It'll explode, but since Eddie is now holding it, he can decide to either let them be free or trap them there forever," Diabolos answered, "But before any of you ask, allow myself to tell the benefits on your current forms. You are all given a special condition that allows you to be immune to Dust weaponry."
Diabolos then produced an Atlesian rifle from the side of his throne and began shooting at the Grimm. Instinctively, they used their arms as shields as their new boss opened fire without care. However, they scarcely felt anything when the bullets came in contact to their bodies. When the gunfire stopped, they all inspected each other and found not even a scratch. Grimm Wolf, Manic, and Kuma evilly smiled on their newly crafted ability.
"To continue, Mince you'll head to the lizard temple to provide assistance in defeating the duelists that will arrive there. Black Manic and Mid-Knight will ambush Weiss Schnee near the lizard temple. Finally, Scar, Wolf, and Kuma, you three will be heading to the Hummingbird temple. If my psychological knowledge and future foresight by my masters, Jaune Arc, Ruby Rose, and Yang Xiao Long will be there. If Jaune Arc were to duel there, Scar will attack alongside my masters' ally, and you two will strike the girls, forming a deadly pincer attack," Diabolos concluded.
"Perfect, I've been wanting a rematch with that blonde huntress," Kuma said with a small smile, punching his hand.
"So have I," Grimm Wolf said agreeing with Kuma.
"…I'm not sure about this plan," Scar said his thoughts.
"Oh? And why would you object this plan?" Diabolos questioned.
"Wouldn't it be better to split them and force them to duel us separately. We would then guard the temple while we attack when they're alone," Scar suggested.
"As always Scar you never change. This isn't just a Shadow Game, this is war. I highly doubt it will go with what you say," Eddie scoffed at the honorable Grimm.
"It seems there is someone here with a brain," Diabolos said on Eddie, "But we can't dawdle now. I need you all to do your jobs in here. After all, I am planning a special surprise."
Diabolos made a sharp whistle, echoing in the room as the stomping made the Grimm duelists turn to look. A being 3 meters tall, the fur was as black as night, it stood similar to a fellow Beringel, hooked antlers were seen as long as a human's arm, it's face was stag-like with teeth coming from the bony armor and the revealed inner teeth similar to a sickening smile, and it had two extra-large arms with claws two times its hands. Weirdly enough, unlike the common red eyes the Grimm, this one's eyes are black with small white pupils.
The Grimm duelists' reactions upon seeing this beast, is like a human seeing someone with four arms.
"Whoa! What the heck is that!?" Black Manic said surprised at the sight of this Grimm.
"Hold on," Mid-Knight viewed the hybrid more, "It is a Grimm like us, but different. I never saw someone with white dots as eyes."
Grimm Wolf and Grand Kuma went for a closer look, seeing that Mid-Knight is right. Black Manic thought it is a good idea to test himself on it, but something doesn't feel right on it. Mince, being the one who doesn't care or at times aggressive, found himself wanting to touch it. He saw his hand hesitate before touching it, like it would bite at a moment's notice. They could all tell that this Grimm is powerful, but abnormal. It doesn't even show emotion or some characteristic, all they sense from it is power… and fear.
"…When do we start… boss?" Grand Kuma finally said to Diabolos.
"You all will start immediately," Diabolos spoke out to all of them, "Best you get ready for your impendent rematch against your opponents. You may find them more… stronger than you last fought them."
(End Flashback)
Scar looked back at that unique moment as he stood against the same blond person with a freakish dragon opposing them. Hard to believe that one of the huntsmen is fighting alongside him. Even the fact that he is fighting against Jaune Arc, ganging up on him for a powered up three against one. As much as he would like to see his full strength in this duel, this… tactic is unjust. Even more so is that the Jaune Arc here is weirdly vicious and hostile to his enemies and himself. Could it be that his human partner is working alongside him? Especially when one of his allies' monsters is a giant building-sized bird with the biggest beak to behold.
'I can hardly believe it,' Jaune thought, 'I never expected to see something like this. I can't believe how stupid I was not realizing that dueling Pyrrha was just a setup.'
'It happens to the best of us Jaune,' Red spoke telepathically, 'Even I didn't expect this sudden move. We just need something to put us ahead for just a turn.'
'Your right,' Jaune thought now more focused on the duel. However since two more people showed up, whose turn is it to draw?
'Hold on, maybe this'll help,' Red spoke once more, 'Computer, acknowledge new battle conditions and turn base.'
The center orbs of the four duelists shined as they blink in a pattern. Moments later, a monotonous female voice spoke loudly.
"Acknowledging new battle conditions. Due to new arrivals, the turn base now goes too accordingly: Jaune Arc, Scar, Jaune, Carly, Jaune, and Pyrrha. In accordance to this, it is now Jaune's new turn and is granted a draw," the four duel disks reported as Jaune's duel disk move a card from the top of the deck forward, granting Jaune to draw his card.
"Thanks Red," Jaune thanked, grabbing his new card, "Now let's see how we can at least stall for some time."
Red glanced at Jaune's two cards and his face down. All the two saw in their hand his two spell cards.
'You thinking what I'm thinking,' Red asked with a devious smile.
"Considering it is a merciless move that Yang would play, I think we can as well," Jaune said before starting his turn, "I activate the spell, Earthquake, now all our monsters on the field get switched into defense mode!"
The moment the magic card activated, the floor shook as the four were trying to hold their ground, while all their monsters turned to defense mode.
"I'll place Exploder Dragonwing back into attack mode, and use my last card to equip him with Gravity Axe-Grarl!" Jaune explained as a rustic double-bladed axe appeared from below as the dragon held in its large claw.

"Now… I will attack Heroic Challenger-Assault Halberd!" Jaune announced as his dragon attacks with a fireball, "Since my monster's attack power is bigger than yours Scar, you'll take damage equal to Halberd's current attack points!"
"You find it easy to beat me huntsman, I activate Shrink! Now your monster is weaker than mine!" Scar countered.
Jaune clicked his tongue in irritation as the fireball was deflected from Assault Halberd's energized weapon.
"Before I end my turn I activate my left face down… Stumbling! Now I am done!" Jaune finished with his continuous spell glowing.

"Then it is my time to draw," Scar said drawing his card, "I place a monster face down and end my turn with one card face down."

Carly looked to the predicament on the field and realized they are the ones with a disadvantages. With Earthquake forcing the monsters to defense mode, and the enhancement of the Gravity Axe, this Signer practically had them on the palm of his hand. Even that Stumbling continuous spell helped reinforce his new lockdown strategy. If she or they can pick up a card that can destroy Stumbling, they can have a chance. Or else they'll end up incinerated by just Exploder Dragonwing.
(Ruby and Yang's tag duel)
"Hey Yang, mind if I go first?" Ruby asked her sister.
"Go for it sis," Yang giving her an approval.
"Alright!" Ruby said stepping forward, "I activate Cost Down! By sending a card to the graveyard, all my monsters in my hand or field are reduced by two!" Ruby then discarded Quillbolt Hedgehog, "Next I play Cards of Consonance! By discarding Debris Dragon from my hand, I get two new cards. Right now I set a monster and a card face down to end my turn."

"Kuma since you had a dealing with those girls more than me, take the initiative," Grimm Wolf suggested.
"Fine by me," Kuma said drawing a card, "I'll start by summoning Battlin' Boxer Headgeared!"
"Boxer!?" Yang questioned.
Her answer came forth of a monster appearing before them. A purple-skinned muscle monster appeared wearing red leggings, the usual boxing gloves, head gear, black pants with white lines running across, white face and red eyes. It took its position while shadow boxing.

Yang could hardly believe that there were cards based on boxers. Normally she would be excited, gawking at them like her sister with weapons. But something feels off. Like she recognize it somewhere before.
"Since I summoned him, I send a Boxer to the graveyard. Next I play Battlin' Boxers Spirit! By sending the top card to the graveyard, I can special summon one more Boxer to the field in defense mode. Come to the ring, Battlin' Boxer Sparrer!" Kuma said bringing out another monster.
A portal appeared below as another Boxer appeared. A skinny green armored boxer appeared with white leggings, white face, and red shields wrapped on the arms.

"Now with these monsters, I build the overlay network!" Kuma announced as a black vortex appeared from below as the Boxers become beings of energy, swirling deep into the hole, "Great shackled warrior, come forth to the ring and destroy any that challenges your strength. I XYZ summon, Rank 4 Battlin' Boxer Lead Yoke!"
Out of the portal came a warrior who something similar to a Roman Gladiator. An iron mask, red eyes, short red hair, a shackle on his right hand connecting to his neck, a weight balancer on his back with chains, and wooden balancers on both sides.

The way it was summoned out made the sisters have another déjà vu. However voices were in their heads as they were mentions of how XYZ summoning works. Though it didn't stop Yang from admiring the monster before her. Even Grimm Wolf looked at it wonder, never knowing that there was another summoning technique.
"Now then, time to see what you got with your monster! Go Lead Yoke! K.O. punch out!" Grand Kuma declared as his monster leapt up.
Lead Yoke reared its right arm and then slammed his fist at the card. But simultaneously, a black mechanized fist with an amber orb uppercut the boxing monster as it unceremoniously crashed to the ground.
"What!?" Kuma yelled out.
Stepping forward into a shielding position was a monster equal to Lead Yoke's height. Four arms attached with two having drills as hands, a blue and gray junk monster appeared having a small amber eye on its face along with a mark of a gear.

"Say hello to my Junk Giant," Ruby introduced as she gave a thumbs up to her monster as it did the same to its master, "And goodbye to 200 life points."

"Should've figured you used Cost Down for such a monster," Kuma mentally kicked himself for a small error, "But I'll end my turn with two cards face down."

Stardust looked to the boxing beast and the Heroic Challenger Jaune's facing against. He found it hard to believe that monsters serving for the Numbers are now siding with these Grimm. Either they were manipulated by an outside party or the Earthbound Immortals had them secretly in their throng.
"Great, now it's my turn to shine," Yang said drawing a card and looking at her cards, "Now to start, I play Card Destruction! Now you and me gotta ditch our cards and replace them!"
Kuma merely followed the card's effect, while Yang drew with some smug. She looked to her hand and smiled bigger.
"First, with Laval Volcano Hand maiden being sent to the graveyard and I have four other Lavals in my-our- graveyard, I send one measly Laval from my deck to the graveyard," Yang initiated sending a monster to the grave, "Since I have at least three different Lavals in the grave, it's time to bring out a monster to the ring! Come on out Laval Burner!"
A pyric monster with a feathered headdress, the stone muscles, fire acting as the hair, and the boxing gloves with the flame décor. From the looks of it, it can resemble a fiery, boxing golem.

"Get ready because I am now tuning these two!" Yang announced as her monster synced together in blazing harmony, "Within the heated battles that scarred the planet, the flames of war never extinguished, use the might of the old Jurracs as your own! I synchro summon… Lavalval Dragun!"
Emerging from behind Yang was a massive fiery pterodactyl the size of a Goliath with grace. The colors of its skin resembled that of a fire. Stone armor covered the entire underbelly along with a rock-like necklace. Its long red head fin was half the size of its beak. It screeched directly at them as it floated.

Ruby looked at it in awe as she saw it like that. The thing looks awesome with Yang. Although looking at it closer, the monster resembled more of a dinosaur than a dragon.
"By activating the effect of Dragun, I can add a Laval monster to my hand and one to the graveyard! So I get Laval Cannon and send another Laval Volcano Handmaiden to the card graveyard. But I'm not finished, since my second monster was sent to the graveyard, I can use its effect again," Yang explained gaining a card and sending two the graveyard, "Next I play Laval Lakeside Lady in the grave! By banishing her and Laval Burner, I can destroy one of your set cards. How about the one on my left?"
A small woman with a blue dress and hair literally made of fire appeared with Laval Burner as they spewed fire on Kuma's card. The card lifted itself to be Trap Jammer as it shattered in the flames.
'Even in Duel Monsters, she's still cruel as well,' Ruby thought seeing it and out of experience in Remnant the game.
'I should bring Junk Giant into attack mode, but I don't want to waste my sister's monster so fast. From the looks of it, Ruby was playing as defense, while I go into the attack. Oh she knows me so well, guess it's best to leave her monster alone,' Yang thought in her mind as she declared out loud, "Lavalval Dragun, take out that awesome monster!"
Dragun screeched by the command as it let loose a breath of fire directly at Lead Yoke, who was blocking it with his arms felling the intense flame. But it wasn't just him, Grimm Wolf and Kuma felt it as well. It felt like the scorching heat waves of a volcano and like their skin would be ignited by just the blaze alone.
Grimm Wolf/ Grand Kuma: 3800-3300
"Not so fast, I activate Lead Yoke's special ability! By using up one overlay unit, Lead Yoke can survive it!" Kuma countered as his monster stood proud, "Since I felt the damage, I can special summon Battlin' Boxer Veil from my hand in defense mode!"
The said monster appeared behind Lead Yoke as he kneeled. He wore red leg and chest armor, his lower body strapped brace, a face covered by a white mask with four slits, and large semi-circle disk guards on his arms. He moved his arms so that the guards form a perfect round shield.

"Since he's special summoned by this way, I gain life points equal to the damage we took. But the worst part isn't over, since Lead Yoke lost an overlay unit, he gains 800 attack points," Kuma explained.

'Great, just what we need. On the other hand I'm glad I didn't change my sis's Junk Giant in attack mode,' Yang thought before looking at Ruby's face down, 'She used up most of her hand and I don't think one face down will cut. I think I should help her out.'
"I place two cards face down and end my turn," Yang concluded two cards appearing before the sisters.
Yang Hand: 2
"Now at last, it's my turn," Grimm Wolf said drawing, "Well now this is a good surprise. I'll use my own Cost Down card to reduce the levels of the monsters in my hand by two," he activated as he discarded a card, "Then by playing Double Summon, I can summon two powerful monsters. So I now summon Dark Ruler Ha Des and Inferno Hammer!"
The first to show is a green-skinned fiend bearing an evil robe with a giant skull in the center and a crown that have orbs on both sides. The next was practically almost as terrifying as Exploder Dragonwing. It is holding a hammer with the head twice the size of Nora's Magnhild head. Wearing baggy, torn pants with six belts tied to the legs, the hulking monster had a body made of pure red muscle. Although it had spike wristbands, the scary parts were the head being only a skull and a second mouth with teeth surrounding the purple insides and a green eye-like orb.

'Wow. Hard to believe that thing can summon two monsters over 2000 at once,' Stardust looking at the risky move.
"What kind of monster is that," Ruby asked whispering to her sister at the sight of Inferno Hammer.
"I literally have no idea," Yang looked at it with the same disbelief as her sister.
"I'll place my last card face down," Wolf then said, "And have Lead Yoke attack Lavalval Dragun!"
"Yang! My face down!" Ruby yelled to her sister quickly.
"Oh right! I activate my little sis's card," Yang said hoping her sister gave her a good card.
The card forces itself face as it now showed two armed people going against two sentries guarding the tents.
"Ruby's trap card was Scrubbed Raid! By sending one of my cards to the graveyard, I automatically end the battle phase!" Yang explained the good card's effect sending a monster card to the graveyard.

"Fine! I end my turn!" Grimm Wolf snarled at the card's intervention.

"Now it's my turn!" Ruby announced drawing one.
When she looked to her new card, her eyes widened a bit at what she saw. The card in her hand was Fleur Synchron. If she wants to, she can summon Chevalier de Fleur and turn the tide of the duel. Thing is that she is hesitant on using. Back when they first arrived here, Chevalier gave her all to defend her and Stardust, leading her to a much damaged condition.
"Something wrong Ruby?" Stardust sensed her hesitation.
'I'm not sure if I should play her. She took a heavy hit for us when first got here. Do I risk playing her out now?" Ruby thought with uncertainty.
"Never underestimate the durability of Duel Monsters my friend. We are capable of surviving in even the worst of circumstances. To be fair, we are extremely fast healers compared to your usual huntsmen. I'm sure she will not hesitate in joining you in another battle," Stardust said to give some ease to his partner.
Ruby looked to her card again and then pushed some buttons. The duel disk then showed to her what Yang placed face down. Right now there was Limit Reverse and a Sixth Sense card. That card could be useful, but calling it wrong could end up becoming their defeat. Maybe she should summon her new tuner monster.
"I summon Fleur Synchron!" Ruby made her move.
Sprouting before them is a small orange bud with stubby arms and legs. Along with gloved hands, long green shoes, and the eyes and mouth located where its limbs are.

A tornado of pink flower petals spun beside Lavalval Dragun. As it began to form into a solid tornado, it was sliced and blown away from a monster inside. A silver knight with a long red cape stood up before them. A pink flower head plume bloomed behind her, flower petals on her waist as a skirt, and wielding a white shield marked with gold highlights. She grabbed the pommel sticking out of her shield and drew out the longest and thinnest sword Ruby and Yang had ever seen, almost resembling Weiss' rapier.

"Chevalier De Fleur," Yang repeated softly looking at the monster.
The moment Yang saw the monster, she instantly recognized it. Back when Ruby was recovering that abrupt assault on Beacon, she and her friends saw that card held in the hands of their leader. She never understood how that card made her have a paper cut enough to make her finger bleed after touching it. Ruby had a look of relief that her monster looked alright, but her face turned gloom that she brought her out to fight again.
"Wipe that sullen look my friend," Chevalier spoke proudly looking at her master and making Ruby look to her green eyes, "Let us show these miscreants how we fare in a duel!"
"I know… but you were so hurt when you blocked that attack. If I had known they would be so vicious…" Ruby paused clenching her fist with regret from the memory.
"Nonsense Ruby Rose! There is no shame in wanting to protect another! So long as my spirit remains unconquered, I will gladly put my life on defending you and your friends!" Chevalier spoke with confidence, "Let us cast aside this trivial discomfort and show the Immortals why you are a signer!"
Ruby's heart lifted a bit by her monster's confidence and loyalty. It was nice that there are friends like her and Stardust that can get her out of the funk she keeps bringing out.
"Okay!" Ruby said with enthusiasm, "Right now let's go to battle! Chevalier, attack Ha Des!"
Raising her sword to her face, she slashed aside as flower petals form on the blade. The petals began to transform into dark energy as she charged at the green monster. Ha Des unleashed a purple beam straight at her, but Chevalier continuously hacked the beam and dealt a devastating blow on the monster.
Grimm Wolf/ Grand Kuma: 3800-3550
"Grr, I activate Call of the Haunted! Now I get to-," Wolf tried to say.
"I won't let you! Chevalier's special ability activates! Once per turn, I can negate your trap and destroy it!" Ruby said as Chevalier sliced the card in four.
"Nice work sis," Yang said with a thumbs up.
"Lavalval Dragun, attack Battlin' Boxer Veil!" Ruby continued unflinching.
"Wait, what!?" Yang and Kuma yelled in disbelief.
Yang's monster screeched on the command as it let loose a breath of fire, destroying the defending monster.
"Why didn't you aim at the other monster?" Yang asked confused on her sister's attack.
"Yang, don't you realize that when it would be Kuma's turn, he would do that Xyz summon again? It's only logical that if I destroy it, he won't be able to summon another. Besides, all's fair in love and war right?" Ruby explained shrugging her shoulders.
"Oh," Yang said now realizing her baby sis's move.
'I'm so proud of my sister,' Yang thought as she mentally applauded Ruby that she would gain her savagery in card games.
"I think I'll end it here. Your move Kuma," Ruby concluded.
Ruby Hand: 1
"Fine! I draw," Kuma snarled grabbing a card.
Kuma was pretty much angry on the fact that the huntress before her interrupted his plan of attack. But the card in his hand should lessen their advantage when they fight.
"Great, I am going to place a card face down and have Lead Yoke attack Chevalier!" Kuma said.
"Not before I discard my last card!" Ruby discarded her monster card.
Ruby Hand: 0
"You're really starting to annoy me with that trap card," Kuma said ending his turn.
Grand Kuma Hand: 1
"Finally my turn!" Yang said drawing her card, "My dragon's ability activates! I now add Laval Swordsman and send Laval Phlogis to the grave. But since it was sent to the grave, any face up Laval monsters gain 300 extra attack points!"
Dragun roared as the ghost of Phlogis empowered it with fire.
Lavalval Dragun: 2500-2800
"Now I'll use the card I drew, Graceful Charity!" Yang said drawing three more cards and sending two to the card cemetery, "Since I just sent another Phlogis to the card graveyard, Dragun raises to 3100!"
Lavalval Dragun: 2800-3100
"Now to get this duel cooking! Lavalval Dragun, attack Lead Yoke once more!" Yang declared as her monster spewed fire intensely.
"Not before I use Lead Yoke's ability! Sorry girly, but all you're doing is making mine stronger!" Kuma countered.
Cover in the blazing fire, the overlay unit dived down on Lead Yoke. Feeling the overlay unit's power, Lead Yoke growled back as it snapped the last of its shackles. It brought its hands together, making a powerful clap sound strong enough to blow the fire.

"Now destroy Inferno Hammer Cheval de Flu!" Yang ordered.
"Chevalier de Fleur!" Ruby and Stardust corrected as the said monster destroyed the fiend.

"To finish up, I'll end my turn with two face downs," Yang said with a confident smile, "Your turn Wolf!"

'Is this really the best your pitiful lives have to offer? The human duelists can fare much more than what you two can do,' the Immortals whispered in the Grimm's ears.
'Stay out of this! We will destroy them and have our revenge!' Grimm Wolf mentally barked.
'How utterly adorable to promise such a thing, but your desires are nothing equivalent to those of lower class pawns. Allow us to show those who disappoint us,' the Immortals said.
When the message ended on Wolf, he felt something what would be a nasty insect bite at the back of his neck. Wolf roared in pain as he fell on his knees and held his head tight.
"What's going on Wolf?" Kuma asked distressed at his partner's condition, along with Yang and Ruby.
"I… I don't know! It's like my will is being torn a-PART!" Wolf screamed in literal agonizing pain.
Unknown to the three people watching, the hieroglyph of a spider appeared faintly behind Wolf's back. His red eyes shifted to dark purple. Foam flowed through his mouth, snarling and growling at them like a wild animal. He then threw his head up like a wolf and gave out a distorted howl. The Immortals just possessed the Grimm Wolf.
"I draw now," Wolf said angrily ripping the card out, "I play Pot of Greed!" he then drew two cards, "Next I play the same card, Graceful Charity!" He drew three new cards and send two to the graveyard, "Perfect! Now I remove Inferno Hammer, Dark Ruler Ha Des, and Malice Doll of Demise from the graveyard to summon forth a monster I didn't use before… Dark Necrofear!"
Coming forth before all three of them was a sight that come from one's bad imagination. A bald dark blue-skinned woman hovered without a stomach to show. Its legs are armored and the left arm had the same armor, while the right arm had little protection. The weirdest thing the sisters saw that it was cradling a broken baby doll with most of the forehead gone. The head of the doll tilted down, making the eyes fall to see them, mildly freaking Ruby out.

By activating it at the start of the battle phase, neither of us are allowed to play any magic or trap cards, including that annoying Scrubbed Raid!" Grim Wolf as arrows rained down and stunned all the face down cards and any activated ones.
'Not good,' Ruby, Yang, and Stardust thought in unison.
"First, Battlin Boxer Lead Yoke attacks Lavalval Dragun! KO Punch out!" Grimm Wolf commanded Kuma's monster.
Lead Yoke roared at the order as he punched Dragun down from the air and uppercut it so hard, it exploded.
Ruby/Yang: 4000-3300
"Dark Necrofear, attack with Doom Gaze!" Grimm Wolf ordered as four red beams shot at the flower knight, only for the latter to hack at the former and destroyed it in the process.
Grimm Wolf/Grand Kuma: 3150-2650
"What are you doing?" Kuma questioned his partner.
"Be quiet you witless worm," Wolf snarled at him, "I end my turn."
Grimm Wolf Hand: 0
The spirit of Dark Necrofear came forth as broken pieces of the doll attached itself to the flower knight.
"What's happening?" Ruby asked.
"Humph, when Dark Necrofear is destroyed either by battle or card effect, I can choose one of your monsters and have it join our side," Wolf explained.
"No!" Ruby and Yang yelled seeing their monster being possessed.
"That's just great! And on my first debut in a duel!" Chevalier complained before her eyes turned red and jumped to Grimm Wolf's side.
"Damnit all, not again!" Ruby cursed recalling that duel against Stukov and the Evilswarm.
"Your turn Ruby Rose," Wolf smiled showing off his teeth.
(Jaune's duel)
"My turn," Jaune drew his card, "I'll activate my second Shard of Greed. And now Dragonwing, we'll continue our assault by attacking Heroic Challenger Assault Halberd!"
The dragon roared and spewed a large fireball at the warrior again. The monster held his lightning-powered halberd up and attempt to throw it off course again, but this time it overwhelmed him and was incinerated into dust.

"Nice work," Red commented, "Although now that it is a three-on-one, how do you think you can handle yourself?"
'I already know how Pyrrha's deck works thanks to you and that Immortal from your memories. That thing on the other hand, uses cards that look familiar to me somehow,' Jaune thought talking to Red.
"Maybe to you, but I know them all too well," Red said, "Heroic Challengers are warriors specialized in Xyz summoning. More importantly that they belong to the Numbers group."
'Numbers,' Jaune repeated as a question.
'Let me clarify it to you in a short simplified version. In the Shadow Realm, we have many factions, but most of the time it is Normal, Ritual, Fusion, Synchro, and Xyz. We and Stardust are leaders of Synchro, while in the Numbers are the leaders of the Xyz. The Heroic Challengers you saw really belong to one monster, Number 86: Heroic Champion Rhongomyniad,' Red explained.
'So you think they have that monster on the Immortals' side,' Jaune asked.
"Nah, it's not their style to be mixed with them. They usually avoid them. I think they got the Heroic Challengers from that duelist in an alternate reality. Our realm does have many doors to endless universes. Still, for a Grimm to have them, this does not give a good omen. Anyway, as long as you keep destroying the needs for a Xyz summon you should be fine. After all, you dealt with the Evilswarms," Red shrugged his shoulders.
'Yeah…' Jaune said with uncertainty recalling those duels with Stukov. Before he became a Signer, the Evilswarm that he faced were basically death personified in his eyes, 'How did you manage to have those guys on your side?'
"…. A question for another time, let's just finish this war first," Red said ending the conversation almost abruptly, making Jaune more curious.

"My turn," Pyrrha announced drawing and smiling at her card, "And I'll play my Mystical Space Typhoon! And I choose your Gravity Axe!"
A powerful gust of wind directed itself at Jaune's side as axe flew off the dragon's claws and shattered to pieces.

"Yes!" Carly said fist pumping to herself.
"Now I summon Gladiator Beast Darius!" Pyrrha said summoning a bipedal purple horse wearing traces of orange armor and wielding a whip conducting electricity.

Charging forward was a large gorilla wielding a spiked shield and a spiked club. Its lower part of its body is made of a self-propelling chariot with green electricity sparking as its power source.

"However due to your Stumbling magic card, he's forced into defense mode," Pyrrha regrettably said as her monster hit a bump and slid on the side falling, forcing itself up with its large hands from a humiliating entrance, "I end my turn."

"Guess it is back to me," Jaune said as he drew.
He saw what he has in his hand and began to contemplate a strategy. With Gravity Axe gone, all their monsters can go on the offense, however thanks to Stumbling, any monster they summon automatically goes in the defense mode. But then why would it matter because the Carly girl can have her Immortal on the offense and choose either to attack him directly or destroy Exploder Dragonwing. However he could gamble with the card in his hand, but it comes at a cost of removing some cards he would need.
'I'm just going to have to risk it,' Jaune thought before saying out loud, "I activate the Pot of Desires! By banishing the top ten cards face down, I am allowed to draw two cards!"
A pot appeared showing two faces. One commonly familiar to Pot of Greed and the other showing a goofy face with a long tongue and teeth shaped jewels. The long tongue nabbed the cards from his tongue and swallowed them happily, while the other face shined as two cards popped from the top. Jaune grabbed them and looked at them.
"What do you know, it worked," Jaune said, "First I play Mirage of Nightmares and then a face down. And now I attack… Gladiator Beast Essedarii!"
The Dragon unleashed a barrage of fireballs at the beast. Essedarii countered by swatting and blocking the fireballs before it was overwhelmed and burnt to a crisp.
"I end my turn," Jaune concluded.
Jaune Hand: 0
"You're really not giving her a chance to counter huh," Red said at the decision.
'Pyrrha won't be able to bring out more of her Gladiator Beasts until her next turn. If I can eliminate one before I get too overwhelmed, then I can raise my chance of victory,' Jaune thought.
"Good thinking, but what would happen if that strategy wouldn't work? You will be placed in one tight corner," Red asked.
'Well… a cornered rat will bite the cat right?' Jaune thought meekly.
"My turn," Carly spoke drawing a card, "I play my face down, Jar of Greed to draw one more," she drew another.
"But my Mirage of Nightmare also activates and lets me draw until I have four cards," Jaune said getting a new hand.
"Cute, but I play Hand Destruction to make us send two to the graveyard and have us replenish them," Carly said as the two did their parts, "By banishing Fortune Lady Wind and Fortune Lady Dark in my graveyard, I am allowed to summon forth Dark Simorgh!"
A swerve between two strands of green and black spiraled together as they opened a dark gateway. Coming out of it was a large bird with wings as long as a car, a red dark crown sitting on its head, and a large hoop attached to its back. Laces of gray energy poured out from behind as its tails, and the eyes are nothing but pure red.

"Oh no!" Jaune said shocked at the monster's ability.
Simorgh cried to the sky as it flapped its wings, pushing a dark mist that now places between him and his monster.
"Now Earthbound Immortal Aslla Piscu, I bring you forth into attack mode and wipe out his Exploder Dragonwing!" Carly announced.
The massive bird raised its beak up into the air and threw it down directly at the small crushing it completely as the island shook, making Jaune, Ruby, Yang, Kuma, and Scar to maintain their balance as much as they can.
Jaune: 3100-3000
"Now the effect of Bound of the Bound Creator field spell activates! Since a level 10 monster destroys a monster in battle, you take a thousand points of damage!" Carly activated.
Chains from above project a yellow highlight within them as they poised up and stabbed Jaune on his right forearm and left knee. The chains struck hard, bypassing his aura and make Jaune scream in pain as blood spilled out.

"I finish by placing my last card face down," Carly finished with her hand gone.

"Since you are ending your turn, I activate the Emergency Provisions quick-play spell! By sending Stumbling and Mirage of Nightmares, I gain 1,000 for each card I send to the graveyard!" Jaune explained.

"With my turn now, I now activate the second Shard of Greed to draw two more, making my hand of seven cards!" Jaune said with a new hand as he looked at it, "I first play Red Resonator!" He summoned the helpful fiery fiend.

"Of course since I have a resonator monster on the field, Red Warg comes out as well. However, now that I summoned Red Resonator, I can special one more monster! So come forth, Mekanikal Arkfiend!" Jaune summoned out.
When Red Warg appeared, a blue mist seeped out next to it as a monster floated out. Made of nothing but gray metal and gears, four red eyes, blades protruding out its forearms, and gear teeth attached on its shoulders and hips. It made a distorted mechanical screech as it poised for an attack.

The said monster showed himself with passion. A jester with orange and red armor pieces wearing a green cape, black pentagons on his shoulder guards, exposed parts on the lower section and arms, a helmet with two black horns on the sides, and a black mask covering its face. Holding out is two long swords, it prepared itself for battle.
Crimson Blader

"Now…" Jaune said going quietly as he saw many ways to attack.
On Carly's side, her Immortal can't be attacked, but Simorgh isn't. If he attack it, he can set some cards. However, that would mean Carly would have a backup plan for that and her face down is the key.
Scar's field has two monsters face down and spell or trap card. If he attacks, Scar would be more vulnerable in the future and be unable to Xyz summon.
Pyrrha on the other hand has no monsters left and one blow from Crimson Blader can finish her for good. The only thing that makes him is the two face down cards Pyrrha hasn't played yet.
One wrong move could end up making lose not just the duel, but also leave Pyrrha as a slave to the giant Immortals.
"Crimson Blader, attack the left face down monster on Scar's side!" Jaune ordered the warrior.
"By your will my master," Crimson Blader spoke as he dashed at Scar's unrevealed monsters.
Slashing down in a form of an x, Crimson Blader looked down and saw the destruction was a success. A pale iron man with a design of a Spartan defending itself with an oval red and orange shield and a barbed lance.

The monster knelt down as its head was sliced off the shoulders, the arm holding the shield torn off and half its body was sliced diagonally before fading into dust.
"Now Mekanikal Arkfiend, attack Pyrrha directly!" Jaune commanded as his mechanized fiend clawed down on Pyrrha's skin.

"Now the ability of Mekanikal activates! Since it dealt battle damage to an opponent, I can special summon a normal monster from my hand or graveyard!" Jaune explained the effect.
"And what good does it do? Your Archfiend Soldier wouldn't be able to finish any one of us," Carly pointed out.
"True, but it is thanks you that I can summon something different," Jaune said getting a confused look from Carly and Pyrrha, "When you activated Hand of Destruction for the sake of Dark Simorgh, it also allowed me to discard a monster I couldn't summon and get me Mekanikal Arkfiend. Now with the power of my monster, I resurrect a huntress who fought for her village and gained a reputation for slaying dragons. I call upon Dragon Core Hexer in defense mode!"
"A huntress card?!" Scar questioned thinking that there is someone not even they knew of.
Mekanikal Arkfiend released a bolt of dark magic in front of them as a portal opened from the graveyard and the monster appeared in a knelt position.
A woman with long dark gray hair and armor made of nothing but dragon scales made from the beasts she killed in her life. Her pure and smooth skin is revealed on the top of her thighs and her left arm. Her great sword, once fined, now a chipped weapon with a yellow marking on the steel like a vein. What is even more ominous is her brown, blank eyes. Eyes that show her soul and humanity have been long gone, showing that she is nothing more than a dragon killing machine.

'So she isn't one of the huntsmen that crossed to that world,' Scar thought seeing that the monster isn't them, even more confused is that this monster doesn't have huntress or hunter name in her and the fact she is a dragon instead of a warrior.
Scar's confusion didn't go unnoticed as Red stared down at him. Why on Remnant or any world would he react like that? Unless the Immortals summoned duelists that were familiar with the huntsmen. This does need important investigation.
"I will end my turn by activating the equip spell, Rare-gold Armor on Dragon Core Hexer!" Jaune concluded as the color of his monster's armor into white with gold highlights.

"Now it is finally my turn," Scar spoke drawing a card, "Prepare yourself Jaune Arc! In this turn, I shall bring forth my best! I summon forth Heroic Challenger Extra Sword!"
A warrior appeared in a variety of green and white armor, wielding two swords with different sizes, and a mouth guard showing only his red eyes.

As the summoning began to function as Scar had intentioned, a distorted voice from Carly echoed.
'Nice work Scar, you could be more useful than those other Grimm,' Carly thought, 'Now use those monsters to limit Jaune's chance of fighting back!'
'No, this is an opportunity that I want! I want to fight him at his best!' Scar thought fighting back.
'At his best? You will help fight him down or there will be dire consequences. After all, we just robbed Grimm Wolf of his individuality.'
'You what!' Scar thought in disbelief as Grimm being bent to a Duel Monster's will is impossible.
'Unless you want to follow his fate, Xyz summon a monster to pressure Jaune Arc!' Carly or rather the Immortals commanded.
"I now Xyz summon… Heroic Champion Gandiva!" Scar finally yelled out the monster's name.
Coming out of the portal was a warrior riding on horseback. A warrior clad in gold and black armor, only showing its blue eyes. Its left wrist held a steel bow and the left hip having a quiver full of arrows. The red-eyed horse was armored light red and lavender on the top, leaving its dark legs. A single white headdress stood in the middle of the horses and the tail colored ocean-blue.

'Damn you monsters,' Scar cursed mentally as he grit his teeth, wanting to bring out Excalibur instead of this one.
"Gandiva, move forward and destroy Dragon Core Hexer!" Scar begrudgingly ordered his new monster to fight the huntress.
"But your monster is weaker than hers," Jaune pointed out.
"Since I used Extra Sword for a Xyz summon, Gandiva gains a thousand attack points," Scar explained as a dark energy enveloped Gandiva and its weapon of choice.

Scar's monster aimed at the target and let loose an arrow. Hexer blocked the arrow with her sword, but the projectile pierced through, breaking her weapon and destroying her in the process.
"Hexer," Jaune yelled out to his comrade.
"I… end my turn." Scar said clenching his fists out of frustration.

"That's it? I was kind of expecting more," Jaune said questioning Scar as he drew.
'Actually, we can use this to our advantage,' Red said having an idea.
'I'm all ears,' Jaune thought listening to his partner.
'When we started this three-on-one duel, that Scar guy was having trouble. Not when we locked down their battle positions, but the thought of ganging up on us. To think there is some Grimm duelist that has a high sense of honor like a human,' Red commented.
'…So we can use his honor to our favor and be able to focus on the other,' Jaune thought catching up on Red's idea.
"First off, I'll attack Pyrrha again with Mekanikal Arkfiend!" Jaune commanded his monster into battle as it slashed Pyrrha.
Pyrrha: 2600-2500
"Since he inflicted battle damage, I can bring back a friend. Come back to us Dragon Core Hexer!" Jaune said as his normal monster returned in defense mode, "I end my turn!"

"Now it's my time," Pyrrha said with her new card, "I summon Gladiator Beast Hoplumus!"
Her armored hippo appeared in attack position.
"Now I'll have him clobber that mechanized monster!" Pyrrha ordered as her monster snort before charging down at the monster with his giant arms, smashing it into paste.
Jaune: 4000-3400
"Now his power activates! By returning him to the deck, I can summon a monster in his place. So I return Hoplumus and bring forth Gladiator Beast Spartacus!" Pyrrha activated.
As Hoplumus faded, a monster leapt in his place wielding a two-handed axe. A brown carnivorous reptile with armor pieces similar to fossils, roared ferociously at Jaune.

"I activate my face down, Double Tag Team!" Pyrrha activated, "Since I special summoned a Gladiator Beast, I can bring one more on the field! Come on out Darius!" Pyrrha said as her horse monster appeared, "Since Spartacus was summoned by Hoplumus, I am allowed to add a Gladiator Beast equip spell from my deck to my hand! But now I shall summon a new monster by returning Spartacus and Darius!"
Her two monsters shined back to the deck, leaving only a brown ooze on the floor and pieces or Spartacus' armor. The ooze began to take shape and began to grow even bigger than Spartacus. It now became a prehistoric monster with scaly muscles and armor changing to black and the fossils protruding out. Armored skeletal wings are attached on its back and a tasset covered its lower section of the body. Its weapon is now a giant steel axe with black and gold highlights and the edges of the blades shining gold.

"I may have already attacked, but thanks to Spartacus, I can equip Gaiodiaz with the equip spell in my hand. So it happens to be Gladiator Beast's Gladius!" Pyrrha said equipping her new monster.
Gaiodiaz opened its left claw as a glowing green dagger materialized itself out of thin air. Holding the new weapon, the eyes of Gaiodiaz temporarily turned green before returning to red.

"Now I end my turn," Pyrrha concluded.

"Then I guess it's my turn," Jaune said drawing a card and begin to frown a bit.
"Something wrong? You got a bad draw?" Carly questioned raising an eyebrow.
"No. It's just that this is just the first time I had to fight three duelists at once. If I hadn't known better, I would say you are scared," Jaune said looking to them blankly, "But then again you must be very desperate to win against Red Dragon Archfiend that you would resort to such dishonorable tactics."
"And what's the point of using pawns in a duel if they can guarantee us a fight?" Carly asked, "Getting these two insects into the duel is worth more than repeating a loss."
"And do they willfully join you? From Red told me, only people with negative emotion and/or ambition to join you. It looks like one of your soldiers wanted something else," Jaune asked.
"Humph, what good are the Grimm if they can just be our personal meat shield? These Grimm duelists are nothing, they are a lower class of nothing. They serve to destroy humanity and nothing else. To think that many Remnants believe the Grimm are the greatest evil, those things are nothing more than a joke. But then again when a world a deceived and manipulated by two immortal beings, they would believe in even the simplest of lies," Carly said then looked to her human pawn, "But this one had a motive like the one before her. Feelings so strong your dense mind will never understand."
Carly's hands turned black as two dark ghostly hands appear on Pyrrha.
"A woman so strong, so passionate… yet you turned a blind eye on her and make her only as an acquaintance. But because of that, it made her a delicious pawn. How easy it is to turn a kind heart into a soulless tool. Just look at her," Carly said as the ghost hands touch the smooth cheeks, "Young, naïve, beautiful, and easily deceived. It makes sense many of the opposite sex can be so attracted to her."
One ghostly hand went down and touched her knee. Slowly it went up to her stomach, caressed her left breast, and finally let go flicking her chin with its finger. Scar wanted to tell her that it was an inappropriate move during a duel, but was silenced on how Carly stated how the Grimm are practically nothing to them.
The three heard a vein pop as they look to Jaune. Scar took a step back at the sight of ferociousness on Jaune's face, while Carly smirked. Red veins were forming in Jaune's eyes, his gritting teeth slowly forming sharper, and his yellow aura on his head was changing to orange.
"I see that I have touched your nerve again Jaune, or rather Red Dragon Archfiend," Carly said blankly, "If there's one thing I know about you, is that you tend to be possessive on whatever or whoever you cared about, even when you don't show it."
Rage filled within the depths of his soul. He was angry, no infuriated, and perhaps mostly livid. He had never been this angry in his life. First Pyrrha died when he wasn't there for her, then it was needed to duel his resurrected partner, and now he was doing nothing while her partner was being touched like a rare figurine. He wanted to so much as roar at Carly and run at her to punch a hole in her wicked face. But for now, he'll let this duel talk for him.
"I now summon my second Dread Dragon!" Jaune declared now as his dragon came out, "But it gets worse! By banishing this Dread Dragon, I get to summon a new one in its place! Prepare to meet… Red Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon!"
Dread Dragon screeched as it now became a shiny gray ball. The ball then began to manifest itself as it unfurled into a new dragon. A metallic dragon painted black and gray with red highlights had blood red eyes, no arms, sharpened talons, and three wings layered on top of each. It gave a metallic roar of his original version as it hovered in front of Jaune.

"Now to be sure that I don't lose in battle, I have in my hand two of the same cards meant for power… Solidarity!" Jaune said activating two of them as his monsters roared in power.

"More than 3,000 attack points!?" Scar said as Jaune's monsters are more powerful than ever.
"Wait a minute, since when was there a warrior monster in your graveyard?" Carly questioned his warrior's change of power.
"It was thanks to your Hand of Destruction once again. Not only did I discard Dragon Core Hexer, I also took Twin Sword Marauder to the graveyard as well," Jaune explained as the said monster appeared in a ghost form, "Now I can wipe out every monster I can destroy! Now go, destroy your enemies!"
Hexer stood up as she raised her sword, along with Crimson Blader and the dragons roaring in accord as they charged.
"In that case, I activate-," Scar said briefly.
"I activate the trap card, Staunch Defender!" Carly interrupted, "With this trap card, I can choose one monster on our side of the field and all your monsters are forced to attack it. The monster I choose… is Gladiator Beast Gaiodiaz!"
Gaiodiaz roared as he twirled his axe for the fight. Jaune's monster went toward in killing attempt.
"I activate my trap card, Defensive Tactics! With it, all Gladiator Beast monsters can't be destroyed in battle and all damage I will take is zero!" Pyrrha activated as well.
"Quite an excellent maneuver, but there's one small detail," Jaune pointed out, "My Exploder Dragonwing is back, and since his is higher than Gaiodiaz, you take damage equal to the attack power of Gaiodiaz! Let him have it!"
'My pleasure!' Dragonwing thought breathing out a large fireball that engulfed the dinosaur gladiator. An explosion happened as Pyrrha screamed from it, landing on the chair she sat, and knocked out cold.

"Sorry, Pyrrha," Jaune apologized before looking to the others, "That's one down and two more to go! Go Hexer, destroy Dark Simorgh!"
Hexer merely ran down to the defensive bird, her sword poised to deal the killing blow.
"You fell for it hook, line, and sinker!" Carly said in a sinister smile, "Activating Spikeshield with Chain!"
A shield holding a face of a white unicorn with a twirling horn sticking out appeared as the shield part attached to its back, while the chain with the horn end wrapped around its neck.

"That won't help you when your monster is in defense mode!" Jaune pointed out.
"Are you sure of that?" Carly asked.
The horns resonated as they produced a special pink shield surrounding the dark bird, completely reflecting his dragon warrior's attack.
"Since my trap card is equipped to a monster in defense mode, its attack points are added during the calculation!" Carly explained the effect.

"You may have won that battle, but it won't save it from this one! Crimson Blader!" Jaune yelled.
'This is for damaging our master!' Blader swore as it swung both his swords down, piercing the shield and destroying Dark Simorgh.
"Now that monster's gone, I can set my cards. Along with the power of Crimson Blader that prevents you from summoning any level five or higher monsters! So I can finally place my last card face down and give you turn," Jaune concluded.

"How droll," Carly said drawing a card.
"Droll? You just used Pyrrha as a meat shield!" Jaune accused.
"And if I didn't, my Simorgh would've been incinerated by your Dragonwing!" Carly shrugged.
"You monster! Is this how you treat your underlings!? What about Scar? He's dueling alongside you?" Jaune questioned.
"If he does well, then good for him for making it. If he doesn't, then I'll just use him just like Pyrrha. We're never short of pawns like him or Pyrrha, so why bother worrying about our cannon fodder?" Carly merely stated.
"Cannon Fodder?" Jaune repeated in anger.
"It's not just people like Pyrrha or Scar that join our side. Many times our servants were dead due to their most unfortunate of events. Starvation, abuse, neglect, depression, agony, and even loneliness. So many people wanting a second chance, wanting revenge on someone or the entire world for what they did to them," Carly explained, "Thanks to that, we never had a loss of supply on souls and soldiers. And they kept our dark hearts pulsing."
Jaune gritted his teeth more on the declaration, but Scar was… in shock. The Grimm he was with had a chain of command and each one had their own uniqueness. However, these Earthbound Immortals… they are more atrocious than even they are. They didn't care of their subordinates or even bother batting an eye when their warriors die before them. Would that mean they will treat his fellow Grimm and himself the same way they did to Pyrrha Nikos?
"I think it's still my turn," Carly noted, "Since many of your cards have diminished fighting the three of us, and you hardly have cards to protect you right? Then that means… Aslla Piscu! Attack Jaune Arc directly!"
The massive hummingbird cried as it swatted Jaune down with its beak, crushing him fully as his life points drained massively.

"Oh we are so close to victory, I can just taste it!" Carly said with some excitement, "I think I'll end my turn with a face down."

Jaune struggled to come out of the cradle the Immortal as his body showed he was bloodied and bruised. Bearing the weight of that attack, Jaune even found himself surprised that he can even so much as stand. He drew a card and merely looked at it.
"Is this going to be it Red?" Jaune wondered to himself.
"Don't count yourself out of it Jaune, we just need to hang on for just a few turns," Red talked to him.
'Right… but I'm the one who crushed by that bird monster,' Jaune thought back to his partner, 'What can we do at this time other than stall?'
"For all things considered, the only thing we can do is play that card," Red advised, "If we attack Gandiva with our monsters, it would cause us to lose the duel and your lives."
'Do you think you know the face down Scar placed a few turns back,' Jaune asked mentally.
"If I am right, then that face down may be Heroic Retribution Sword. It's a trap card that can only be equipped to Heroic monsters and can redirect all battle damage to us. And that would be devastating," Red placed his thoughts.
'So in this case attacking is not an option at all,' Jaune thought as one wrong attack could be his very downfall.
"I… activate… Swords of Revealing Light!" Jaune played as green bright swords swung down in front of him as a barrier, "Until the end phase of my opponent's third turn, all your monsters are unable to attack me or my monsters! I… end my turn!"

"Now it is my turn!" Scar said drawing a card before looking to his defeated opponent and his new master, despising the plan and the Immortals' treatment on him, "I summon Heroic Challenger Ambush Soldier in attack mode!"
Coming out next to Gandiva is a shrouded warrior. It was wearing green camouflage clothing, a dark green cape, yellow pieces of armor, and a gas mask with red eye glasses. It brought forth its only weapon, a machete with layers on each other.

"Come on now!" Jaune whispered to himself as he drew again, "Won't help me now! I end my turn again!"

"Now it is my turn," Scar said drawing a card, "I activate Ambush Soldier's effect! By sacrificing him on my standby phase, I can special two Heroic Challengers! So I bring forth two Heroic Challenger Extra Swords to the field!"
Two monsters appeared with swords ready to battle.
"I now play my face down, Call of the Haunted! Come forth my first Assault Halberd!" Scar played as his monster came back, "Now I overlay my three level four Heroic Challengers! With these monsters I Xyz summon the warrior of the flaming spirit! Come forth Heroic Champion Kusanagi!"
Appearing out of the portal with three red orbs circling around is an orange and brown armored samurai with green shin guards, wielding an orange blade as it pointed the tip at Jaune Arc.

"However, since this is the last turn of the Swords of Revealing Light, I can't attack until I end this turn. However, I will offer this card face down to finish," Scar played a card face down as the last of Jaune's magic diminishes.

"So now my only draw left," Jaune muttered as he drew, and what he drew made his eyes widen a bit, "Maybe with these cards I can hold my ground. I will place this card down to be done with."

"Now it is time for me!" Carly drew as she evilly smiled at the card, "Perfect! Now everything is in place!"
'Diabolos! We have lost Pyrrha to Jaune Arc, but the plan is going exactly as you calculated,' Carly mentally reported.
'Yes! Just make sure that we keep the duel energy higher. The more we duel, the stronger you and the duels are. Misty made preparations for the rest of team JNPR with Mince, while these two duels were going on. They and the Grimm duelists won't even know what hit them,' Diabolos talked back to her.
'We're taking a large gamble taking you in and repeating the way we took one of Red's friends. Just make sure to hold up your end in this war,' Carly mentally reminded.
'No need to remind me. As a person who once changed this world for the better, I assure you that the victory you so wanted will come,' Diabolos guaranteed her.
'Just checking,' Carly thought before saying out loud, "We have you cornered Jaune, ready to know what it is to lose a shadow game? Aslla Piscu, attack Jaune Arc once more and finish him!"
The giant hummingbird screeched as it reared its head, ready to smash the young Signer again. But as the behemoth did, Jaune reached his hand out as shards of the gravity axe forged back now on his hand as he held it tight.
"What?!" Carly yelled in disbelief as the weapon came back on behalf of the boy's will.
The massive bird hurled its beak down once more, but Jaune used the axe's power to propel the attack away. The result came when Aslla Piscu was pushed to one of the pillars of the field spell, successfully making it crumble. However, the axe shattered once more as it turned to dust.
"The card I played face down a few turns ago was Gravity Lash! It uses the power of the weapon to weaken your monster equal to its defensive power and last I recalled they are even!" Jaune explained.

"Impressive move, but pointless! Even if you stopped that, Scar will pick off what I hadn't… chipping away all of your life points! First I play Pot of Greed. Then, I play the Double Spell card! By discarding Magical Stone Excavator, I can activate any spell card in your graveyard and activate it as my own! And what better way than the card you used on us! The Swords of Revealing Light!" Carly activated as the light swords came out, this against Jaune and his monsters, "I end my turn!"

"Not good," Jaune said as his own spell card was turned against as he drew a card.
(Ruby and Yang's tag duel)
"I draw," Ruby drew her card as she looked at it, "Help me out here. Yang, mind if I use the card you had at the start?"
"Go for it!" Yang said with a nod.
"I activate the Sixth Sense!" Ruby activated as a giant dice appeared next to Grimm Wolf, "Here's how it goes, I have to call at least two numbers from that dice and if I call it right, I get to draw equal to what I guessed. If it isn't, I must send the top cards of my deck equal to the new result. But the thing is, you will roll the dice. I call three and six!"
"You must be desperate to activate such a card, but let's see if your luck is strong in this! Go dice roll!" Grimm Wolf heaved the dice up high.
The dice began to spin on its own as Ruby and Yang looked at it with anxiety, but more on Yang. Her chances tend to be slim and her luck may be as bad as Uncle Qrow.
"Come on! Come on!" Ruby chanted twisting her fingers.
The dice finally landed on the ground with the corner, standing almost perfectly still. When it landed directly on one side, the four began to look. The only thing is… luck isn't on their side.
"Ha-Ha-Ha, it's a damn four! Your loss Ruby Rose, now you must send the top 4 cards to the graveyard!" Wolf laughed at the result.
As Ruby did what she was told, Yang was screaming internally that the dice was not on their side. Ruby looked at the four cards she sent and her eyes widened on how that move was beneficial.
"I set this one monster face down and end my turn!" Ruby concluded.

"Then it's my time to bring the pain!" Kuma drew, "I summon Battlin' Boxer Switchitter!"
Summoning out directly onto the field was a boxer with red boxing gloves and gray armor only covering his left arm and thigh. Wearing a dark brown shirt, black shorts, and a khaki hood, he's prepared to bring to hurt.

Coming was forth was the chained Lead Yoke who stood proudly next to his strongest counterpart.

One of the orbs turned black as it took shape. A black and dark gray boxer appeared with, blue pants with lines across it, blue eyes, a spare pair of black boxing gloves dangling on his waist, and left only his upper muscular body exposed.

"I think it is time to destroy you both," Kuma announced, "My second Lead Yoke attacks your face down monster!"
The still chained boxer charged to Ruby's surprise. It swung its burden down at it, but the face down disappeared.
"Where did it go?" Kuma questioned as he and his monsters looked around.
His second Yoke scratched his head on why his attack didn't work. Suddenly out of nowhere, something pecked at his eyes. He roared in the pain, rubbing his eyes as he then saw what did that. A pink chick with green eyes, yellow beak, and red rubber boots stood between him and the victory the Grimm duelists desired.

"Too bad for you guys, but Sonic Chick can't be destroyed in battle with monsters that have 1900 or more attack points!" Ruby said as she high fived her monster.
"In that case, Shadow will destroy that weakling!" Kuma said as his dark boxer sprinted to the offense.
"Then I activate a monster's effect from my graveyard! By banishing Bacon Saver, I can negate your attack!" Ruby countered as a spirit of a small black pig ran to Sonic Chick's side.
The pig spewed out its entire skeleton at Shadow as a punch hit on the skull. Ticked that a pig skeleton got in the way, Shadow delivered multiple blows on the skeleton until its nothing but dust.
"I end my turn!" Kuma furiously ended remembering that confounded pig who interfered with his previous duel.

"I guess it's my turn," Yang muttered as drew, "I place this monster face down and end my turn."

"And now it's my turn at last," the possessed Grimm Wolf said drawing, "This card will surely change the tides, immobilizing your chances of a counterattack. But first, Battlin Boxer Shadow attack that pitiful excuse of a monster!"
Shadow nodded as it went to knock out the little bird. Then, all of a sudden a glowing yellow light formed on Sonic Chick and Yang's face down monster.
"What's going on?" Kuma questioned the huntresses.
"When I was forced to send four cards to the graveyard, one of them happens to be Shield Warrior. By banishing him from my graveyard, all of our monsters can't be destroyed by battle," Ruby explained as the spirit of her monster appeared kneeling down.
"You are just delaying the inevitable! I play my magic card, Nightmare Steelcage!" Wolf activated as a massive cage appeared and trapped the huntresses in, "For at least two turns, you or your sister won't be able to attack!"

"Is that it?" Ruby questioned, "I expected much from you guys."
"Really, maybe you've should've just ditched the cards you used on us so can fight with all our might," Kuma said.
"Uh-huh and let you gain the upper hand, I don't think so," Ruby said shaking her head, "I have already dealt with guys like you two. And now since Pyrrha practically died on our watch and the duels going around just to fight us, do you know what I am feeling other than sad or angry?"
Kuma and the possessed Grimm Wolf looked to each other and wondered on her question. The feelings they have felt were genuinely sadness and anger. What other emotion could it be? Envy? Fear? Bitter?
"…Annoyed?" Kuma pulled a word out.
"…No," Ruby said as she began to draw.
Tearing the card out a massive whirlwind twirled as rose petals scattered from Ruby to the sky. Her aura flared as her eyes slowly narrowed down at her opponents. The pure red aura she had begun to blend with the black color of her dress. Her silver eyes glowed bright as its energy seeped at the edges. The three who are with her watched in shock and some traces of fear like the kind presence of Ruby Rose is now gone, now replaced with someone with unadulterated malice.
Stardust looked to his partner and sighed. If there was somethings that are hard to teach is Ruby's emotions. Because of the fact that Duel Monsters can come to life by the power of a Psychic, emotions are what tend to show more. Ruby has been mostly cheerful, but when pain or sadness appears her power tends to flow like a flash flood. Stardust is surprised though that the emotions she is spewing is more powerful with the duel energy emanating on the war. Stardust still sees this girl as Ruby Rose, but to anyone foolish enough to underestimate or emotionally drain her, she can become one's aspect of death.
"Let me tell you what I am feeling," Ruby said looking at the Grimm duelists, "I. Am. Pissed off. And you. Are. Dead."
As if on cue, Yang's monster appeared face up on the field. A small bipedal dragon with orange and brown scales. Fire blew from it's and claws as it snarled at them. When it looked to Ruby Rose, all the fire extinguished as it shut its mouth from making a noise, like fear drove it to be quiet.

"Then I activate your monster's effect," Grimm Wolf countered, "Your trap is now useless!"
Chevalier, still brainwashed, dashed forward and destroyed Ruby's trap.
"Now you can't synchro summon with the monsters you have," Grimm Wolf pointed out like the move was pointless.
"Are you sure of that?" Ruby questioned.
"Huh?" Wolf asked with a squeak in his voice.
"I activate the other face down, Yang's personal Call of the Haunted!" Ruby showed her card, "With this card's similar power, I can bring out Clear Effector from the graveyard!"
A petite girl like Ruby came out with shiny black thigh-length hair. She wore multiple green ribbons with her pink dress having a black sash on her middle section as she had black stockings reaching up until one can see the upper parts of her thighs.

The pressure Ruby is creating was incredible. The aura combined with the mark of the Signer began to flare so much, the barrier that separated the duels dissipated as they can all see the monsters that have shown to all who are dueling. Grand Kuma looked up and saw the biggest monster that ever existed.
"Huh!?" Carly and Jaune said as they saw the sisters dueling the other duelists.
"I tune level 2 Clear Effector, level 2 Flamvell Dragnov, and level 1 Sonic Chick!" Ruby announced.
The monsters began to unite as one, but this time they turned into a red spiral of energy as black fire emerged inside the helix.
"Chilling flames that engulf the world! Pitch-dark flower, set into bloom! Synchro summon! Come forth… Black Rose Dragon!" Ruby shouted to the chaotic sky.
Black Rose descended down to the sky like a meteor, smashing through the cage as it showed its unique appearance to the Grimm duelists. Without a doubt, the second biggest thing that happened during the two duels as she glared down at them like they are meddlesome insects. Kuma's right hand shook a bit as grabbed it to stop, wondering why was he scared of the thing that stood proudly against them. Gandiva had to control the horse as it, Kusanagi, and the Battlin Boxers felt her presence with some taking a step back from the flower dragon.
Black Rose Dragon

"Lady," Lead Yoke spoke out loud stuttering as Kuma noticed his monster spoke.
"Lady Rose," Kusanagi nervously spoke out.
Black Rose merely stared to the duel around her as she saw the people about to become dead men.
"Battlin Boxers. Heroic Challengers and Champions," Black Rose spoke their names as vicious slurs, "To think that you would be our enemy."
"Wait milady! It's not what it looks-," Gandiva pleaded.
"Be silent! You are all Duel Monsters, regardless of your masters and your affiliation. Now deal with the consequences and prepare to die again by my hand," Black Rose spoke out.
"Black Rose Dragon's effect activates! When she is summoned, she can destroy all cards on the field," Ruby explained, "Go Black Rose! DESTROY EVERYTHING!"
"With utter pleasure!" Black Rose said unleashing a shockwave from within.
The horse of Gandiva reared its body as it desired to run as far as possible. The Boxers were first to be hit as they roared in agony as they disintegrated to nothing. All the cards on the field began to explode as Kuma, Wolf, and Yang covered their faces with their arms. The shockwave continued to grow as Jaune and Red see the effect still going to their side.
"Oh crud," Jaune and Red said as they are going to be engulfed as well.
Jaune yelled trying to use his shield to protect himself as his field began to constantly explode. Scar's monsters felt the power go them as they screamed a voiceless wail and die along with the Earthbound Immortal, who is beginning to crumble down and vanish.
Outside the soldiers were dealing with the endless wave of aggressive Grimm as they then felt an explosion.
"Oh crap!" a female soldier cried out, "Black Rose is using her effect!"
"Hurry, get down!" another called out.
All of the soldiers swiftly activated their cards as the wave began to flow through them. The Grimm and the fog that make them were it hit, vanishing into nothing but black dust. It continued to grow to the entire warzone.
"Hey what's that?" Whittaker asked pointed to the coming shockwave.
Nora was busy hitting a home run on a near Ursa as she then looked to see it too. The wave flew directly at them as they screamed to the top of their lungs, feeling pain all over with the Grimm being vaporized.
Ren and Weiss saw it but to their surprise, the two ice dragons Weiss temporarily summoned acted as their shield, hoping to protect them.
"What is that?" Blake asked to the Signer Dragons with Shae and Haldrana.
As the three saw it, the Signer Dragons panicked that they know of that power.
"It's Black Rose!" Crow yelled to the soldiers who are running into the bowels of the ship.
"Leave it to me!" Fiona yelled bringing out a big aqua shield to protect everyone as the wave split on the shield, though Fiona struggled to keep it up.
When the effect finally stopped, the results from Black Rose were devastating. The dark fog that once clouded the warzone is gone, the Grimm dragons were vaporized, and so many Grimm dissipating from the aftermath. The lush areas of the remaining pieces of the island were scorched to nothing but black bark and ash. However the towers still remained intact as Black Rose stood proudly at her work.
"Since Clear Effector was used for a synchro summon, I get to draw a card," Ruby said drawing a card.
"You… utter fool," Carly spoke out getting her attention, "When you destroyed Aslla Piscu, all your monsters would be destroyed and you take 800 damage for each one. Jaune Arc has only 500 life points, so you just ended up killing him from that!"
A faint figure of the giant hummingbird appeared in the sky, transforming into an orange as it dived bomb directly on top of Black Rose. The explosion rang on everyone's ears as they kept trying to see if they did manage to defeat one of their opponents. But to their dismay and horror, Black Rose appeared still here and unscratched.
"Don't waste your breath, since Clear Effector was used for the synchro summon, Black Rose can't be destroyed," Ruby explained brushing some dust off her right arm, "Black Rose, ready to wipe the floor of these fools?"
Black Rose nodded as she licked her teeth.
"When there are times that make me happy, it is times that I enjoy crushing anyone under my foot," Black Rose spoke out loud.
"In that case… I activate the card in my hand, Card of Sanctity! All of us must now draw six new cards!" Ruby declared as they all got a new hand, "Now to spice things up. I play Monster Reborn to bring back Chevalier first!" Ruby said bring back the flower knight as Chevalier and Black Rose high-fived, "I then equip Chevalier with Black Pendant to grant her 500 extra attack points!" the said card appeared wrapping around Chevalier's neck.
Chevalier de Fleur: 2700-3200
"Chevalier! The move I'm making is very costly, you wouldn't mind giving your power to Black Rose?" Ruby asked.
"No problem! If my sacrifice means the way to victory, I'll gladly pay it!" Chevalier responded punching her chest.
"Alright! I now activate Thousand Punisher!" Ruby said with the card showing Master of Oz in fire and Battle Ox slicing Marshmallon, "By bringing down Black Rose's attack to 1000, she is capable of attacking equal to the tribute's attack! Since Chevalier is now over 3000, Black Rose gains three attacks!"
Chevalier gave a thumbs up as formed into energy, enveloping Black Rose with newfound might as she roared.
Black Rose Dragon: 2400-1000
"When Black Pendant is sent to the graveyard, my opponent takes 500 damage, so eat this Carly!" Ruby said as black energy struck Carly in the abdomen, moving her a few feet.
Carly: 4000-3500
"What good will that do huntress? With those pathetic attack points, you'll only take out one of us?" Kuma pointed out at the odd move.
"Oh don't worry, I play the Blustering Winds spell card! This card grants Black Rose 1000 more attack points. However, I am also playing Backup Rider which just happens to increase Black Rose an additional 1500!" Ruby said granting her flower dragon more power.
Black Rose Dragon: 1000-3500
Black Rose folded her wings forward and threw them back as she roared, winds strewing harsh as Yang felt like she was going to fly to the air from the power Black Rose produced.
"Now Black Rose unleash our fury! Black Rose Flare!" Ruby yelled out ordering an attack.
Black Rose charged up her attack and then brought forth a purple breath engulfing Grimm Wolf and Grand Kuma, incinerating them both as they screamed.
Grimm Wolf/ Grand Kuma: 2650-0
"Keep going Black Rose!" Ruby said.
Black Rose roared, keeping the breath going as she threw her head toward Carly and Scar as they were injured immeasurably by the dragon's fire.
Carly: 3500-0
Scar: 1200-0
"And that is game," Ruby said disengaging her duel disk.
Ruby then looked to her sister and found herself sweat dropping at the sight of her sister jaw dropping.
Yang, who was supposed to be the cruelest card player to others, saw her sister wipe out four people in one turn. With a monster that practically destroyed everything on the field and used her face down cards like it was hers to start with without hesitation. Being a savage in games was her thing, but now her position is completely threatened by her adorkable and frightening sister.
"What were you thinking?" Jaune muttered to Ruby before yelling, "Are you trying to kill me and the others from Black Rose's effect!?"
"Well we did win Jaune," Ruby said deadpanned.
"That is true," Jaune said with hair sizzled on the edges from Black Rose's fire breath, "But could you at least warn us before you do!? I already dealt with her effect already and wanted to not experience it again!"
To make his point, his monsters that he kept up before came out as spirits who snarled at Ruby because they didn't want to be destroyed by Black Rose. At all. Especially since they witnessed her destructive work firsthand before meeting the huntsmen.
"Sorry," Ruby raised her hand and apologized.
"What are we going to do with you," Jaune scratched the back of his head before walking to Yang snapping his fingers in front of her face, "Yang? You okay?"
"Uh yeah," Yang said snapping out of her trance.
The three then heard a coughing noise as they look to see Scar crawling down to them with one operating arm. Before he could even reach them, his body gave out and laid on his back.
"I had… hope to have a rematch with those of team JNPR with honor," Scar gasped, "But I never thought I would be defeated… so savagely. Against such a powerful monster."
Scar looked to see the three humans look down on them with Black Rose ready to squish him.
"I would like to congratulate you three on the duels, but I can't seem to move my body anymore. If it means something, I am sorry that I challenged you in such a cowardly manner," Scar said before coughing.
"What kind of Grimm are you?" Jaune asked, "Are you one of Diabolos' experiments or those hybrid?"
"Experiments? Hybrid? What're you talking about," Scar asked weakly before speaking, "We were brought back to life by those Earthbound Immortals. Brought forth a deal that would allow us to challenge the people that have defeated us. I was glad to duel Jaune Arc, but they wanted us to do an ambush. I really wanted to duel you with everything I had with honor."
Scar coughed more as Jaune found himself curious of the Grimm and now asked a question.
"How did you become like this? You act more human than Grimm," Jaune asked this time nicer.
"… We had found a crack somewhere in our Remnant. We ventured through in hopes of destroying more of humanity, then we were caught off guard when those creatures found out we came in through the crack. Many of our brethren died from fighting them, but those like me, manage to sneak through and into another world. We don't know how, but something from entering the crack changed us. We evolved, grew intelligent, and created our own individuality. But the price was steep. In order to fight in that world, we need to be accustomed to the very game we played. Then, huntsmen and huntresses just like you followed us thanks to that HERO monster."
Scar cough violently this time as Jaune saw that he is fading from existence.
"I know we gained much spite from being the things that will destroy humanity, but what I saw when that dragon attacked, those Earthbound Immortals… What they have planned for their enemies is worse than all the Grimm that ever existed… Stop… them," Scar said before fading into obscurity.
Black Rose snorted on the Grimm's death as she began to leave the tower to see if Ruby's soldiers made it out okay. Jaune then went to the cold body of her partner and use his signer power to at least restore her. When the warmth of her body began to appear once more, he sees her partner just in a coma, but at least she is alive in a way as he carried her out bridal style. He would have to apologize once it's all over.
The three students of Beacon began to ponder on the words Scar spoke out. Are the Earthbound Immortals so dangerous the Grimm were nothing but dirt compared to them. Then again, they were exposed to the unknown threats. The Faunus clones, robotic army, hyper advancing Grimm, and the creation of hybrids. They were busy resting in Beacon after the Breach, while something like those things schemed under their noses. In any case, Grimm or Immortal, they must win.
'Hero monster? Wouldn't that mean…' Black Rose mentally spoke to Red.
'Yeah, Elemental Hero Neos. He should've called us for help and we could've annihilated every last one of them to extinction together,' Red spoke to her, 'the fact the crack from another Remnant led Grimm to our Realm to another world is somewhat troubling. We'll have our Special Forces begin cracking down on any Grimm that dares come to our home. And when we're done here, we'll have a special assembly concerning the future.'
'As always you two are savage in wanting our enemies' destruction,' Stardust joined in, 'Although I have to agree on the assembly and the need of the actions. Come on, let's see if we can meet up with the others.'
Red went to follow Jaune but something flashed at the corner of his eye. Materializing, he found something where Scar had died, a nasty dark crystal resembling Dust in Ruby's Remnant. He inspected it with two talons feeling the dark energy, albeit weaker than the ones he dealt with.
"Red! You coming now?" Jaune yelled out to his partner.
"Yeah, I'll be there," Red said as Crimson Blader, Dragon Core Hexer, and Exploder Dragonwing appeared, "Take this home and analyze it with Life Stream Dragon, see if he could break this down for us to know what's going on at the other world Scar came in."
Crimson Blader and Dragonwing nodded as they disappeared with the Dust in the maw of Dragonwing.
"Let's go Hexer, our work isn't done," Red spoke to the huntress as he followed Jaune.
Then he let loose a small fire ball at a floating camera who happened to show everything that transpired.
(Hidden Chamber)
"So… that's the power of Black Rose Dragon," Diabolos said watching his drone be destroyed by Red Dragon Archfiend, "What a terrifying ability."
The effect was so strong, even Diabolos felt it within him. That was like feeling pure hatred being unleashed, yet the blast she did was controlled. Imagine what it would be if she would let it all out. Diabolos shuddered on the imagination as that dragon could wipe out the most powerful entities of Remnant.
But then he heard of Scar's origin. Grimm finding a crack to the Duel Monster realm and moving to another world to destroy humanity again. He couldn't help but sigh at the natural response.
"Oh Salem. For your sake of defeating Ozpin, you always try to demean him by destroying the thing you two were born from. But attacking another world, that's perilous for you, or any other Salem in Remnant," Diabolos shook his head, "Then again, me challenging and killing the gods of light and darkness was risky but incredibly worth it to see you and Ozpin fear my power and my resolve."
Diabolos chuckled slightly, recalling the faces as the two ran away to prepare their forces to fight him. One mere human that killed gods was enough to divert their resources to kill him and each other. He didn't need godly powers or the relics to fight them. No, all he only needed was his determination and intellect to defeat what others considered untouchable. Then he quiet himself when he mentioned those two names.
"…I'll never forget. I will never forgive for what you two did," Diabolos gritted his teeth with spite, "You both wanted to keep the war between you two going and it would result in involving the world in the damn crossfire again. For using the remaining Grimm and the manipulation you two placed, fabricating the world's very history. What you did to Remnant… what you did to the people… what you did to me. The world didn't need gods to start its creation. It didn't need Maidens or Grimm. I know for sure they don't need two immortals in a grudge war."
His gauntlets clenched hard on the memories he recalled. Memories that made him for who he was now. He lifted his sword and stared at the face. The weapon he forged from trial and error, honed as an extension to his will. The materials he needed to make it was costly, but necessary to defend himself and slay his enemies. And unfortunately, one happened to be Pyrrha Nikos who looked similar to the other Nikos in Reverse Remnant. In a way, he regretted making that move. It won't be long before more of Ruby's friends become victims of his vile blade.
'This is Diabolos. Is there anyone still among the living,' Diabolos spoke telepathically.
'Yeah, we're still alive! What the hell was that!?' Black Manic reported.
'Ruby's monster evening the odds,' Diabolos merely spoke, 'Get Mid-Knight with you and be prepared. Now that Kuma, Wolf, Eddie, and Scar are dead again, they are going to muster their remaining forces on where Mince is now. Take care of Weiss Schnee. If any ally or foe were to intervene, do as you please.'
'I can get behind that order,' Black Manic said grinning to himself.
'But if we take care of the Schnee, wouldn't the others hope to stop us,' Mid-Knight asked.
'Oh I wouldn't think about it too much. Mince will be dealing with Nora and Ren in a 2v2. What happens next will determine the victor,' Diabolos said walking out of the chamber.
'And if the rest of team RWBY come?' Manic wondered.
'Oh don't worry them,' Diabolos pulled out his duel disk as he brought out a new one in its place, 'I'm on my way.'
(Remnant)
Explosions scattered in the barren ruins with heavy objects cladding to the earth, ringing multiple times. Cinnabar glared down at its new foes and swung its long tail, catching all three of them and throwing them at a distance. Cinder, Emerald, and Mercury landed on their feet with bruises showing the lengthy battle.
Emerald wrapped on one of the crystal shoulders to pull its right arm back, while Mercury went behind and kicked behind its left leg. While it didn't hurt Cinnabar, the continuous blows did make it go down on one knee. Cinnabar attacked Mercury with its tail, but the gray assassin caught the tail and tried to hold down the heavy appendage.
"Alright. This time for sure," Cinder said to herself preparing the Grimm bug once more on the monster's face.
The small bug, once flawless, had cracks over its white bony shell from constant tries and denials. The bug spewed the black web again on the beast, but this time the maiden powers are being siphoned from the beast. While Cinder smiled at the success, Cinnabar is beginning to have enough. The hybrid unleashed a powerful electric field on itself as the three and the bug were electrocuted from the power. It shoved all three off the body and began raining explosive ice harpoons at them.
"Doesn't this thing ever get tired?" Mercury questioned on the beast.
"It has the power of four fall maidens Mercury. I don't think it knows how to be tired," Emerald spoke dodging several harpoons.
Cinder snarled as she burned away a harpoon. Four cloned maidens was difficult, but this one is a whole new level. All that power and it swatted them like flies. Cinder brought her swords out again to retaliate, but she and her allies heard cackling. A distorted alien kind of cackling.
Cinnabar casually stomped its way to them, remained unscathed from the fighting. From the physical beatings and weaponry the three gave were nothing compared to the ones that did give a challenge. Comparing them to its might, they are throwing pebbles to a mountain.
Cinnabar advanced more to beat them down, but smelled something as it looked to see orange circles around it, detonating into a large eruption. Unbothered, Cinnabar kept on going and saw three arrows. It shot down the two with the crystal shoulders and caught one with its claw. Cinnabar inspected it and smelled the projectile.
'Glass?' Cinnabar thought, 'Out of any weapon, she fights me with glass?'
Cinnabar looked at it and the red human simultaneously before shattering it just by clenching it. It activated the power of gravity Dust and began pulling the three humans down. The three tried to put up a fight from it and then got ideas. The gray hair used the pull to bring a drop kick, the green hair swung her swords, and the one in red brought a sword of glass meant to stab it in the head. Cinnabar exhaled an orange breath with irritation as it already countered a futile retaliation. Cinnabar brought Mercury down to the ground with gravity, constricted Emerald with the long tail, and snagged Cinder's wrist in the mouth catching the sword in the outer teeth. The three struggled to be free, but the monster had them in their place, applying more pressure. With a swift motion of the head, it broke the sword and twisted Cinder's wrist making Cinder yell in pain. Cinnabar threw her down callously and stomped on her left arm, putting more than half of his weight on the girl's aura-enhanced limb.
"GAHH!" Cinder screamed flailing her legs to get the beast off as her arms became utterly useless at the moment.
'So weak. So small, the three of you,' Cinnabar thought looking at Cinder, 'So pretty. So frail… Like glass.'
Mercury attempted to stand up from the gravity pressing down, while Emerald struggled to get out to save Cinder. Cinnabar then heavily inhaled, Dust from Emerald's weapons, Mercury's boots, and that of Cinder's dress. Cinnabar sucked all the Dust they had dry and are now as threatening as starving cats.
"Let me go you insolent-AAAH!?" Cinder yelled in defiance only for Cinnabar to put more weight on her arm, making her feel like it was getting crushed.
The hybrid glared down at the girl who wanted the power within it. The moment they started to fight, they have been on the offensive to make it fall to its armored knees. The girl in red kept trying to use that Grimm bug to siphon the maiden powers from it. Again and again, the bug kept writhing in pain with each try before returning to the inside of the glove. Now it is Cinnabar's turn.
Cinnabar brought out its blade-like tongue and placed it above the back of Cinder's neck. Drops of red saliva left at the tongue's tip and touched the smooth skin, its acidity burning her choker, her skin, and some of her hair making her grit her teeth to quiet her screaming. Lifting the giant foot showed the mangled arm, her aura trying to heal the bruised purple arm. Without warning Cinnabar brought its left foot down, crashing onto Cinder's feet and braking her glass heels.
"AAARRGHH!" Cinder shouted to the sky as her feet was crushed by the hybrid's immense weight.
The tips of Cinnabar's claws turned dark red as it forced Cinder up on her broken feet, clawed on her side to where her back faced it. Then Cinnabar kicked her back, forcing her to be painfully on all fours. Cinder's arms struggled to keep her up, while she can't feel anything in her feet. Cinnabar grabbed both of her arms and pulled as she screamed. The hybrid pried the glove off her appendage and on her bruised arm, dislocating it off of her shoulder.
"RAAAARRGH!" Cinder yelled again on the pain.
Mercury and Emerald did their best to pry themselves free, but their labors proved to be futile. When the two looked on to what will happen to their leader, their eyes widen at Cinnabar's next actions.
Cinnabar proceeded to claw off her sleeves, tore off her dress, and even her black shorts. The monster looked down and saw a sketched tattoo, two heels forming a shape of a heart. It then crafted a needle made of fire Dust at one tip of its claws and pointed down at the tattoo. It dug deep into the tattoo and her skin as Cinnabar began to trace the right heel.
"Cinder!" Emerald yelled making Cinnabar twirl its tail to cover her nose and mouth, leaving only mere muffles.
The two watched the thing continued to trace the tattoo with fire Dust. Her skin was being burned unto the tattoo as it drove the Dust deeper in Cinder's skin and to her flesh. When it finished, the shine from the fire Dust began to darken, permanently melding into the skin. The monster stared at the Dust and to Cinder's unburnt side and chose to change its shape. Once it perfectly resembles the heel, the hybrid immediately pressed down.
"AAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGHHH!" Cinder bellowed once more with her aura completely drained to nothing as she felt her skin soldered by the Dust again.
Cinnabar glared down at their pathetic performance. So weak and simple-minded that it didn't even need to use the powers of the maiden to crush them. While being a pure monster on those who oppose it, there was something inside it spark while it beat down these humans. Weirdly enough, it even felt human. Human enough to enjoy watching these three squirm and suffer, especially on the girl it humiliated and burned.
An explosion on the neck made Cinnabar roar and see who stopped its entertainment. There was no one in sight as it looked around, but more explosions came forth as Cinnabar roared in irritation. It heard various snarls as it saw something appear out of thin air. The armored faceless being that punched him in the teeth. Suddenly, the soldiers who were with the ones who did damage appeared along with two people, the blond woman with abnormal power and the very pale woman with painful kicks.
It snarled at them, knowing that they will put more of a challenge than these three.
'Strong, more dangerous,' Cinnabar thought before looking at the three, 'Weak, fun to kill time. Deal with them later.'
Bringing forth the gravity powers, it brought all three together. Then with gravity, electricity, kinetic energy, and weight, Cinnabar swatted the three out of the ruined field and roared at its old challengers.
A song was heard on the sky as it looked up. There never was a giant hole before, nor was two humans standing on the ends. A red energy came out falling down on Cinnabar as it took shape and crush the hybrid.
A bipedal dragon with red and green eyes appeared with two bones on its back resembling a crescent moon, along with the horns on the skinny head. Its underbelly had a tan ribcage holding a purple orb as it roared to the sky.
"Odd-eyes Pendulum Dragon?" Tilla questioned the pendulum monster being here.
"Hold on you guys!" a voice called out to the dragon as they all look to see Angel running down panting.
"Angel Palomo, what are you doing here? You're supposed to be our emergency duelist," Viola said patting off some dirt.
"Forgive me sirs, but my new friends got stressed all of a sudden," Angel bowed, "It's as if they can feel the war going even though we are in this world."
"Really? Is the energy from the war that strong?" Stukov questioned.
"It's not that strong," Angel admitted, "But enough for the dimensional dragons to be a bit uneasy. Something's happening and the guys want to help stop the energy from flowing out of control."
"Is that so?" Stukov asked before looking at the monster pressing down on the struggling hybrid, "If there's one thing I have learned is to trust the monster's instinct. Tilla, will you mind letting him go to Reverse Remnant?"
"…" Tilla thought before saying, "Angel, you are free to go to Reverse Remnant. And if possible, help end it."
"Thank you sirs," Angel saluted, "Let's go Odd-eyes!"
The dragon roared as it got off the hybrid to open a portal to Shae's world.
"Oh before I forget," Angel said before activating a card, "Nightmare Steelcage!"
The said cage landed on Cinnabar as it attempted to strike them with an ice breath. The cage blocked its attempt as Cinnabar lashed at the barred enclosure, albeit to no effect.
"I think two minutes in the cage should take care of that monster," Angel said before saluting to his superiors, "We'll be back!"
Odd-eyes roared letting his new friend in before the portal closed, leaving them alone with the incapacitated hybrid.
"So… two minutes of no attacking," Marcus said brandishing his revolvers.
"Yup. I would say that is a good deal," Stukov said happily with his eyes temporarily shining yellow and red.
"…A very good deal," Tilla said with an evil gleam in her eyes.
"And all the time we need," Viola said evilly cracking her knuckles.
Steel Valor, Stukov's men, the Meta, and Marcus joined their superiors, slowly walking to their trapped prey with silence. Cinnabar, who was busy striking the cage, noticed that it is surrounded by all of its enemies. Seeing that the thing stopped any notion of retaliation, it felt anxious seeing the stares it is getting by them. In pure unison, they all reloaded their entire arsenal.
The next thing that happened there was the constant gunfire and pained roars that echoed on the field.
