Hello everyone! This is Tyrannozaur with a message that I am not dead... yet. I thought this would be a to tell you that i will not be touching this fic for a while. Due to hardships in real life, it has become more difficult to do my fanfics and ended up having my mind in a mess. I hope that you guys have a Happy New Year.

Narrator: Now... you guys may be wondering, 'A chapter? I thought you were going to update the other stories.' The thing is real life is punching me down harder than ever. So much so that it is becoming extremely difficult to do so. Some stories are going to remain on ice while those I worked earlier get more attention. But enough of me rambling! I'm here to tell on what the pros and cons of utilizing Duel Monsters in the military.

Pros

1: Less casualties

Narrator: The thing in war is that many people, regardless of affiliation, can die and leave a sad taste of depression on the families. But what if instead you use holographic monsters. Less mess, less needed soldiers on the battlefield, and you can summon as many without the need of vehicles and planes... provided that you have a lot of duelists on your side.

2: Little spending on military vehicles

Narrator: You guys know that a prior need of deploying troops is utilizing that of boats, planes, and cars. When you can summon Duel Monsters at a far distance, the need of vehicles would be less necessary. The military would then lessen the need of producing some military vehicles and purchase more on booster packs and rare cards. New method, good business to the companies producing Duel Monster cards.

3: Pure loyal monsters

Narrator: It's always common to think that there are a very minority could be a bloody traitor just waiting for a chance to stab you in the back, but never the monsters! When you have their cards and bonded with them, they are utterly loyal, something similar to that of dogs and cats. As long as you have their cards and treat them nicely, they can repay your kindness tenfold and wouldn't hesitate to destroy any enemy that gets in your way. What good are eventual backstabbers when you have monsters who would follow you to hell and back, figuratively and literally speaking.

4: Nuclear Deterrents

Narrator: There would always be a case of fear that one day, a nuke could easily come in and destroy everything entirely. But if Duel Monsters existed in one military, many would follow suit. By doing so, they would eventually put away the need of making more nuclear missiles, since one's dream of having an army of monsters could just be summoned at your fingertips.

5: No need to supply monsters

Narrator: All soldiers always need a means of supplies that help them continue on the battlefield, be it food, water, or ammo. But if the game allows monsters to take away such limitations, because of their otherworldly make, some can go on without the need of food, water, or rest. Unless they have something that requires them to be active.

Cons

1: Military takes priority

Narrator: Since the need of monsters of being summoned to battle and supporting cards to turn the tide, the military would demand a lot of cards coming from rare to ultra rare. If you are a common duelist, you would more likely spend a lot of time just getting cards everyone has when you want some specific ones to help your deck. The thing is in war, everyone wants to have the magic bullet that will grant them victory, which also includes hogging more rare cards to themselves. In this case, the best way you can get yourself some cards is either pay more or join the military. (That would suck.)

2: Archetypes

Narrator: Since there are so many anyone can choose like Six Samurai or Red Eyes, many of the military would seek good archetypes to fight. In a way, they would prioritize some cards such as Cyber Dragons, Gun Dragons, Ally of Justice, B.E.S., Kozmo, or Ancient Gears to name a few. More importantly archetypes that can deal a lot of damage with some or no effort.

3: Monsters don't discriminate

Narrator: Now why would this be a problem? The answer is simple. Monsters usually never bother on who they face. Whether they are young, old, pregnant, a pro, or an amateur they couldn't care less. In the wild, predators are opportunistic and would seek prey based on their need of survival. It's natural and simple, just like Duel Monsters. Regardless of who their master is or by themselves, if someone such as an eight-year old girl can play the game, they instantly consider them as a threat.

4: They are also WMDs (Weapons of Mass Destruction)

Narrator: You guys probably saw this coming. If a monster can attack as many as it can once or a spell card that can nuke an entire field, they are indeed weapons of mass destruction. The game evolved so much that one card could annihilate anything. Knowing this, many would then prioritize defending cities or countries with cards that negate destruction, since one duelist could wipe out a city with just one card.

5: Military also uses limited and forbidden cards at will

Narrator: Duelists always go into tournaments to test their skills, at the cost following the recent ban list. But unlike tournaments, war is anything but fair and honor. This means anyone can play anything at a moment's without the need of a ban list to hold them down. (Which can be fun because you can destroy a whole army with one Raigeki or see a fleet wipe out with Dark Hole.)

6: Monster Size

Narrator: The thing is holograms tend to be exact or erratic on how a monster's size can be. An Earthbound Immortal is easily 370 meters tall and it can unnecessarily break buildings by its size alone, a Kozmo Dark Eclipse equals that of he Eclipse-class Super Star Destroyer (17,500 meters long) which an cover most of the sky, and even Jormungardr the Nordic Serpent can wrap around the Earth with the tail in its mouth. Such sizes can cause major concern to the public as some can crush them without realizing it.

7: Equal in emotion

Narrator: The major factor with duelist and monster is their connection mentally and physically. Since Duel Monsters can have souls like other living beings, they can feel and act with emotion in sync with their master. If their master is strained with stress or obsession, they too will follow suit. In Yu-Gi-Oh Arc-V, Zarc accidentally injured a fellow duelist in a duel. Because of the audiences sudden need of violence, it plagued his mind and onto the Dimension Dragons. The results showed massive destruction on the world and the formation of Supreme King Zarc. With this, emotional stability is vital as the card game (or shadow game) tethers directly to one's emotions, even when the duelists don't realize it.

Yu-Gi-Oh theory: Star Eater's true size and weight.

We all wondered on how big a monster can be, but what better way to know about one of the biggest monsters is references based on anime, and other sites. First is the star it inhabits on. We can know for sure is that it is a yellow dwarf star, the same as the sun that brightens the day. In record it is 109 times bigger than Earth's diameter. So why is the planet important? It's because there are monsters that show how big they are. To show similarity, I chose to use Jormungardr or Midgard Serpent as it had a body shape similar to it. With no means calculating its size, I chose the closest one... Death Battle. In Marvel's Midgard Serpent on their analysis of Thor, it is said to be 900 miles wide and 50,000 miles long. Of course it is wrapping the Earth twice, so I will lowball it by half. So it would be 450 miles wide and 25,000 miles long, 1.43 times longer than Kozmo Dark Eclipser. In order to know its full length, we use the Midgard serpent while knowing how many Earths can fit into the sun. Which equals 1.3 million Earths. When we crunch the numbers on multiplying the width and length of the Midgard serpent on the Earths that can fit into the sun, we get...

450 miles x 1.3 million= 585,000,000 miles wide

25,000 miles x 1.3 million= 32,500,000,000 miles long

HOLY CRAP! And that's not counting the wingspan the dragon has. And now to calculate the weight. To find its height, I had to find out how long it is... and it is frustrating. So I think the only way is to find something that equals one of Star Eater's four eyes. And Eureka, the eyes are actually half the size of Neptune. Neptune's diameter is 30,599 miles so halfway it is 15,299 miles. So far the height of Star Eater is equal to six halves, three times of Neptune's diameter, or 91,797 miles. So its volume is...

585,000,000 x 32,500,000,000 x 91,797= 1.74529046 x 10^24= 1,745,290,460,000,000,000,000,000 cubic miles (septillion)

Convert to cubic meters: 7.27316 x 10^33 (Decillion)

In conversion to tons (Prepare to be mind blown)… It's weight is 2.57x 10^36 or 2.57 Undecillion tons (36 zeroes)=2,570,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 tons

That's how, in theory, big and heavy it is and can still swallow two Jupiters like a sandwich! Forget attacking your opponent, try crushing or swallowing Earth as a whole. Or perhaps destroy it with only a roar. And it won't just cast a shadow, you would be staring directly at one of its eyes.

Who would've thought trying to find the size of this synchro monster is so difficult! And I think I got my math incredibly wrong. Anyways it's just a mere hypothesis. Let me know in the pm or review on where I got it wrong and do the math please. And I think I watched Austin's videos from Game Theory and Death Battle too many times!

Until next time!
