I HAVE RETURNED! Been reading a lot of books these past months and after doing so, I have started to realize that I must also write. So i whipped up this little chapter that is from Haruhi's side of the story so I hope that you guys enjoy it.

I have also decided to write upon Haruhi and Christian in this chapter along with the sacred endeavors of marriage between hunters

SO READ AND TELL ME THAT YOU LOVED IT!

Haruhi stared out of the window as she had just woken up from her sleep to look out at the sun that was rising just above the mountains, she had recently taken a trip to the family's countryside manor so she could escape the asphyxiating air of the preparations for the engagement ball. She felt more relaxed if that was something that she could admit for herself. Haruhi opened the glass balcony doors and stepped outside breathing in the fresh morning air.

"It feels so much more different than back home." Haruhi mumbled to herself as she held onto the marble railings of the mansion. Haruhi pulled her long caramel-chocolate brown hair back and twirled it into a makeshift braid before looking down at her sleep attire. It was a long black buttoned men's shirt –that she was originally wearing -you pervs-. She wore it when she was horseback riding- along with a pair of white shorts that covered until her mid-thigh.

Haruhi stared at the long and vast land that solely belonged to her family and that soon would be hers, well it was honestly only a smidge of what she really was going to inherit once she became queen. People were only recently wondering why her father hadn't taken his responsibility as the prince instead of her being the one to become queen but it was because after her mother had died, her father had decided abdicate from the throne since he no longer felt that he would be able to rule as he was raised to when he was younger without the help of his wife and as well he needed to raise his children with the utmost concentration so the charge of crown prince fell to Luke and she would only become the princess that would never have a chance of being queen. Well, that was the original plan until all the drama surrounding Luke happened.

Haruhi entered her bedroom –that was practically surrounded in white, the walls and dresser were a pearl white while her bed and everything else was a shade of ivory white- and looked around at the mess that she had left from reading all the reply letters from the invitations that they sent for her engagement party. Most people were currently doubting the reason why she decided to marry Christian but it was actually just because they were both young and both their families had so much expectations for them to get married soon despite them only seeing each other as good friends instead as lovers and it was even worse that neither one could see each other as husband and wife joined in holy matrimony.

One thing about hunters was that once they swore themselves to each other under God, they couldn't cheat on the other even after death as hunters are the representation of how God had originally wished that humans were; the higher the rank of the couple the stronger the union will be, so even if Haruhi wanted to she wouldn't be able to love or desire another because she would be bound by God to be faithful to Christian and it would be the same for him as well. Thus marriage is always a sensitive topic for couples as they would be binded one to another without an escape. Marriage is also used to strengthen the love of two people, the ceremony may vary for rank of position and country but it must always contain the same elements: the bride and groom must exchange blood with another to be binded by blood, the couple must say their true vows –the vows are a specific part of the contract in mention as the vows that are said cannot be broken- and they must swear to the Church and God that they will never abandon the other in a battle along with the swearing of that they will never leave the Hunt and be unfaithful to the other. If unfaithfulness is discovered then, the one in the relationship involved is exiled from the Hunt and forced to end the vows of the marriage. Dissolving a marriage by force is painful but by consent, it is said to rival the same flames of hell.

"I should start getting ready for Grandmother since she's coming to visit." Haruhi mumbled to herself as she rubbed her eyes. "But I should clean this room first."

After cleaning her room-she refused to let any of the maids clean the room because it was her mess and besides she wanted to clean- and taking a bath, Haruhi was eating breakfast in her room as she was reading the news when she heard someone knock on her door. "Yes?" She asked finally being able to pry her eyes away from the interesting news in French.

"My lady, Lord Christian is here to see you. Should I let him in or should I take him to the garden so he can wait for you?" The parlor maid asked Haruhi whom had started to fix up her hair. It's not as though Haruhi was being vain, it had become a custom ever since they started to meet up as friends.

"Let him pass." Haruhi voiced out as she drank a cup of tea. Once the door was opened, Christian came in with a wide smile on his face as he held a box of macaroons. "Good morning Christian."

"Morning Haruhi! How are you on this fine morning?" Christian asked with a smile as he sat down in front of Haruhi while placing the box on the table.

"I'm fine." Haruhi replied shortly as she noticed the discomfort in Christian's eyes when he tried to accommodate himself in his seat. "But what happened to you?"

"Well, my family and I had to go take out this immensely large nest that we found in York and I swear to the Church that those things were faster than my sister in heels! They nicked me instantly like if I was some sort of homing device and they hit my side, I got healed and everything but it still hurts when I sit down and stuff." Christian explained with a smile. He didn't want Haruhi to think that he was a spineless weakling who can't dodge attacks from vampires when he's been training his entire life.

"You shouldn't have come here if it's been bothering you so much, you idiot." Haruhi chastised him as she shook her head in denial.

"But I had to come see my friend who is also my future wife." Christian pouted.

"Well, you are right. We haven't seen each other for a while now." Haruhi replied softly. The reason why they haven't met is because Christian had to train a lot more since he had to meet up with the expectations of the royal hunter family and Haruhi had to learn everything about the culture since she was going to become queen after the wedding.

"I've heard that they've spotted Éclair in Stockholm right now." Christian replied as he reported about what he heard.

"I last heard that she was in Vancouver, how could she move so fast?" Haruhi questioned herself.

"She's lived longer than you and I, of course. Which obviously means that she has resources or she's learned how to teleport." Christian replied with a swift comment as he stood up from his seat on the table and started to walk towards the window.

"That does make sense." Haruhi answered but looked at him with a worried glance as she noticed how miserable he looked. "Are you sure that you're okay? Are you in pain or anything?"

"Are you sure that you want to marry me? I know that we're only friends and that we're being pressured to get married because it's better that you get married to a man before becoming queen but if you don't want to do it then we should cancel-" Christian was interrupted from his rant by Haruhi's lithe arms embracing him from behind.

"I'm positive. I would rather be married to a friend than some jerk that only wants me for my money, position and the fact that he could become king."

"But what if you one day wake up regretting that you had to marry me because of your people? Regretting that you couldn't marry the one that you really wanted? Regretting that you can't be free?" Haruhi felt wounded by Christian's words –yes, she didn't love him the way that she loved Jake, Tamaki, Kyouya and the twins but she cared about him and she was willing to go out with all of it as long as she could- and she wanted to reply but she was interrupted. "And one day, you might end up wanting to separate yourself from me then you'll have to suffer the ache and pain of the dissolvation."

"I won't regret anything and neither should you." Haruhi said with a serious voice as she turned him around to gaze at Christian's forest green eyes that she liked for no particular reason.

"I'm sorry for acting that way, Haruhi."

"Don't worry, it must be pre-engagement party jitters. Come on, I know this great place where they sell the best crossaints." Haruhi said as she grabbed a coat along with pulling his hand and started guiding him towards the main entrance.

"I thought that you just ate."

"I got hungry again, don't judge." Christian laughed at Haruhi but not without readjusting the grip of their hands.

SEEEEEE GUYSSSSSSSSSS! They are in a friendly relationship which means that they both really care for the other without judgement or anything of the sort.

I hope that my description of hunter marriage doesn't seem quite cruel, i tried to make it softer since it was darker in my original depiction in my mind.

So i hope that i cleared all your doubts about their relationship and that you guys like it. Please don't judge and love me again.

Tell me if you guys are also fans of the Percy Jackson series or the Infernal Devices/Mortal Instruments because those two series broke my poor author heart!
