HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAPPPPPPYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY NEW YEARS EVERYBODY! This is my new years present to you guys and since I love you guys I wrote this. I tried very hard on this chapter if you guys want to know.
Tamaki and Kyouya had managed to put Hikaru in his bed after the incident with Kaoru; both of them filled with concern over the younger as he had developed a high fever the moment that Kaoru left. He ended up passing out after he had said his last words to them regarding Hikaru. The thing that worried them the most was that vampires never caught fevers or any kind of sickness in general, they were mostly immune to what affected humans since they were superior beings. Both of them knew that if Hikaru and Kaoru didn't make up then they were both going to die in the most painful way possible.
Once they both left Hikaru in his room, they walked into the living room both extremely certain that Hikaru wasn't going to hear them due to him being unconscious and his fever-induced stupor wouldn't help him so they knew that the conversation that they were about to have between the two of them would only be heard from them. They both sat in front of the other, each one on the lavish couches in the grand living room, staring at each other because neither of them wanted to say anything.
"I can't believe that it's happening to them of all the people that I knew." Tamaki voiced out as he treaded a hand through his hair. "They had like one of the strongest bonds on Earth."
"A bond can be broken with the right instrument. For them, sadly it was Haruhi." Kyouya replied as he looked at the exasperated Tamaki.
"I know."
"If they keep it up like this then there is a small possibility that they will both fall dead before the month ends." Kyouya said. "Or they might burn out the connection faster."
"I hate the fact that this is happening to them because of Haruhi." Tamaki said as he buried his face in his hands. "This just isn't right. This is happening because we all love her but we're not realizing that our love will end up hurting her and us. I just think that it's best that we all just give up on her and leave. Let's tell the twins that it's going to be for the best and we'll never talk about it again."
"We all love her. That's something that has been clear between the six of us for a while now but….. We all know that there's no way possible that we wouldn't fight each other for her." Kyouya stated the second Tamaki had finished his. "I believe that it would be ridiculous to tell the others that we have to give up on her but I also think that it is for the best."
"Yeah. Let's just try to see her soon and when we get back, we'll explain the fact that we just can't keep fighting for her because it will destroy us." Tamaki said. "But first, we must find Kaoru. We don't know in what kind of conditions he'll be in by this time."
Neither of them knew that Hikaru was listening to their each word. Once they finished their conversation, Hikaru went to his room not wanting to know anything more nor that they would be able to know that his current state isn't as severe since its more of a passing by ache that would torment him for a while then leave him alone only to return even worse than the last. He knew that it would be the best for him to forget about Haruhi but personally he knew that it would ache him more than help him.
Haruhi looked out the window of the car as she was being driven back to the mansion, the starry night being the only one to possibly know of her actions from a while ago. While she and Kaoru were more interested in kissing each other to death, various things had slipped from Haruhi's mind. First being the fact that she was going to get married in around a month, second being that she wasn't supposed to be kissing him, and third being the fact that she had bodyguards looking for her. Before they could pick things up in a way that would shame her family for the rest of eternity, she realized that what she was doing was completely wrong and pulled away from Kaoru.
"I'm sorry, Kaoru. But that was wrong of me…. I'm so sorry." Haruhi looked at him.
"It's okay. I wasn't expecting you to accept me right off the bat. I just wanted to see you again." Kaoru gave her a pain ridden smile. Haruhi was about to smile back at him and embrace him but she heard the distinct voices of her bodyguards approaching the spot where they were.
"You have to go now!" Haruhi told Kaoru sternly.
"Why?"
"Because if you don't them my bodyguards are most likely going to kill you for being this close to me when not a single vampire is supposed to be this close to me." Haruhi explained as fast as she could looking at Kaoru with sincere eyes telling him to leave. "I care for you. You're my friend and I love you and that's why I want you to leave before you're condemned."
Kaoru looked at her speechless because he was touched by her words, he nodded at her before running away as fast as he could. Haruhi instantly walked towards her guards portraying that she had lost the track of time because she was too busy looking at the sunset that France offered in that moment before being guided back to the car.
He smiled at the fact that he got to see her, hear her voice and even kiss her before any of the others. For him, it was some sort of an accomplishment that he got to see her before his brother did. But Kaoru started feeling a burning in the left side of his chest that he had never experienced before, it was aching him more than any kind of fire that he had experienced previously. He had to get back to the mansion before anything went wrong for him, before the pain became unbearable.
Haruhi entered her room after telling her grandmother about the fitting of the wedding dress and listening to her grandmother talk about how she and Christian were to finish the final preparations for the engagement party. She took off her beige trench coat and threw it on her bed along with her purse that she had thrown previously. She treaded a hand through her long dark brown locks but then she facepalmed herself as she slid down the wall to fall down to the carpeted floor. She felt crystal tears try to escape themselves from her eyes but she closed her eyes harshly not allowing her tears to fall.
"I don't understand why it hurts so much. I made my choice, it shouldn't be hurting this way." Haruhi thought as she placed her right hand on her chest –more specifically above her heart- while she wiped her tears with her left hand.
"Why do I feel this way? My heart is hurting so much…. How can I get rid of this painful love?" She mumbled to herself as her tears wouldn't stop spilling. She hated feeling weak, she hated the fact that love was making her cry like a baby on the floor. "I shouldn't even be loving them like this."
Haruhi could only curl herself into a ball so she could at least feel a sense of security and wait for her to cry herself out as fast as she could, however she cried for a long while.
Haruhi and Christian were walking in the ballroom where everything for the engagement party was to be prepared with utmost care, something that both could understand. Haruhi looked at the fine china placed in front of her before turning her head away to yawn covering her mouth with her hand as she did so, Christian being close to her noticed the act and decided to question her about her yawning.
"Are you okay? You've been yawning the past hour we've been here, I think that this is the 10th time. Did you not get enough rest before coming here? Did you not sleep well?" Christian asked as he turned to look at Haruhi dismissing the servant who was helping them with a stern nod. He waited until the servant left the ballroom to tell her to answer her. "So? What's wrong?"
Haruhi blushed not knowing that she was yawning that much, she honestly thought that she had only yawned like 3 times. She had basically fallen asleep at one in the morning which was an unusual hour for her to sleep thus disrupting her entire day. But now that she had cried herself out, she didn't feel a heaviness that had settled itself in her heart a few days.
"Well, I was worried about everything being perfect so I just couldn't sleep because of that." Haruhi lied sheepishly. She didn't need Christian to worry himself about her, he already did too much of that for her during the past 8 months that they've known each other. He cared too much for her that made her guilty when she lied to him.
"You're not supposed to be worried about such a thing by yourself. We're supposed to be worried together not alone, this is how we're supposed to do things together. Not on our own because that would make things harder." Christian said as he placed his hands on her shoulders and leaned down to look at her in the eye precisely.
"Sorry. I'll try not to worry alone." Haruhi replied with a hint of sarcasm tinted in her voice that Christian didn't miss which caused him to release a low chuckle before kissing her forehead. The kiss on the forehead stunned Haruhi for a moment before she shook it away from her thoughts and decided to look at him as if she was annoyed.
"Why did you do that?"
"Because I wanted to see your face. It wasn't funny though." Christian replied with a teasing tone to his voice that made Haruhi try to punch him on the shoulder. "Let's go Haruhi. We should check out the flowers."
Haruhi followed him to the section in the ballroom that all the flowers were placed and they started discussing on which flowers would look great before moving on to arrange other things.
The masked figure could only look at how Christian and Haruhi arranged everything for the engagement party as they wore smiles only for the other to see both unknowing what would happen later on. He then turned his head towards the bottle of poison, smiling as he knew that such a happy night would not end well for the hunters.
PLEASE REVIEW! I noticed that on chapter 35 no one reviewed and that actually made me very sad because a lot of you were never silent readers and it actually pains me that you all decided to be silent readers. I'm calling this out because I feel that if I dont get a review, it makes me feel as though my story isn't even worthy of being written or even posted here.
I do notice that some of you follow or favorite this story but I would also like to read a comment from you guys since that would be nice.
I please do hope that you guys take this little statement in and try to understand me because I don't like to write to an unresponsive public and if any of you decide to write a comment please tell what made you not want to write me a review.
I also apologize if you think that this chapter doesn't have much of the guys -though I think that they occupy a good space of the chapter-
So please review!
