Hi guys I'm back with the newest chapter. Like I'm finally out of classes so I'll try my best to finish this story once and for all, like it's been operating for around 4 years I think.

Hope you guys aren't mad at me but I did notify you guys. Like I've been very inspired today, I uploaded a chapter of another story from another website I'm writing for and I was reading your comments for like the 10th time this month and I decided screw it, and I wrote this chapter.

Hope you like the chapter.

Haruhi found herself hand in hand with Christian making sure that everything was perfect for the engagement party, her heart was still hurt over what occurred a few days ago between Kaoru and herself, she hoped that Kaoru was alright. She also hoped the same thing for the rest of the hosts, their happiness and their health was very important to her even though they were supposed to be mortal enemies. To Haruhi, friendship comes first. She heard Christian sigh next to her.

"Is something wrong? Do you feel sick? Should I tell a maid to call the doctor?" Haruhi instantly started asking even lifting her hand to check his temperature only to be caught by Christian who placed it on his cheek to nuzzle it.

"I'm fine. Just worried." Christian said.

"About what?" Haruhi insisted. "You know I hate it when you worry too much."

"About our marriage. Will I be a good king to our people, a good husband to you?" Christian admitted with a worried look on his face.

"I know that you'll be a good king, we'll learn together." Haruhi comforted him. "And for the husband thing. I'm sure that you'll be a good husband. I'm happy that you're the one I chose to marry."

"I'll try my best to love you, I swear." Haruhi concluded before continuing. "So you should try to fall in love with me too."

"I will, your highness." Christian laughed as they continued running their rounds around the venue. Soon the night had come, thus starting the engagement party.

"For tonight, we've only invited those who we consider relevant. And the werewolf royal family because of our agreement." Haruhi's grandmother informed Haruhi as the maids were dressing her up in her engagement party dress. As she looked at Haruhi getting ready, she thought:

"My granddaughter is supposed to be 17 years old, she looks older than that. She's so mature, she's taken her duties so well, and I hope that this marriage finally brings her happiness. It's something that she deserves more nothing."

The dress was a long sleeveless jewel and lace embellished dark pink chiffon gown with a sheer back. Her long dark brown hair was tied up into an elegant mid-high ponytail to effectively show off her back, it was curled to give it more volume with a few diamonds sprinkled along the locks of hair. She was wearing a silver diamond necklace that went around her neck like a choker would do but lower, the tie of the necklace fell down her back into a string of pearls and ended with a middle sized diamond pendant, her earrings were small diamonds with a diamond pendant hanging off of them and on her left hand, there was the engagement ring that Christian gave her when he proposed to her: the ring being a Princess Cut Diamond Engagement Ring 1/2 Carat in 18K White Gold. She had scolded him regarding the cost of the ring but he shook it off saying that she was worth the money.

"I see, grandmother." Haruhi said once the maids were finished and they dispersed away from her giving her grandmother a clear view of Haruhi's appearance. "How do I look?"

"You look beautiful, Haruhi. If your mother could see you right now, I bet she'd cry. No, she must be crying in Heaven right now." Her grandmother smiled at her making Haruhi laugh.

"You're making it sound as if it's my wedding day." Haruhi laughed with a sweet smile.

"It might as well be it." Haruhi simply shook her head before making her way to the ballroom to meet up with Christian.

Christian was at the entrance greeting most of the guests to distract himself from his nerves but was dragged away once they told him that Haruhi was bound to be ready and that he was to wait for her near the staircase so they could walk together and announce their engagement together.

"So you're the one that Haruhi decided that she wants to marry, huh?" A voice drawled out, an unfamiliar face for Christian but he knew who it was. It was Jacob Swan, one of the princes of the werewolf royal family. "Honestly, I don't see anything special about you, you seem so plain. I'm way better." This causing Christian to scoff in disbelief while rolling his eyes before looking at Jake straight in the eye.

"Well then why aren't you the one this engagement party is for?" Christian asked with a bluffing tone to his voice causing Jake to growl.

"Play nice." A voice scolded Jake along with a whack to his head making him whine in disapproval. "Sorry for my brother. He's very stupid."

Christian recognized her as the crown princess of the werewolf royal family, Alexandria Swan. Also as the former fiancée of the late crown Prince Luke Blanchard. She smiled softly at Christian. "Congratulations."

"I'm sorry for your loss." Christian said.

"Thank you. But I'm fine, a little heartbroken but nothing deadly." Alexandria smiled while fiddling with her fingers.

"Jake, you're here!" Christian heard his fiancée's voice exclaim happily from behind so he turned around to be amazed at her beauty and stood there admiring her beauty while she talked with Jake.

"Of course I would be." Jake smiled with a docile tone of voice at Haruhi.

"I'm glad you're here. Let's talk later, Christian and I have to do the entrance." Haruhi said with a smile as she locked arms with Christian. Both Swan siblings nodding and leaving towards the ballroom.

"Is he really your best friend?"

"Yes."

"I won't be able to be friendly with him." Christian said instantly getting hit on the arm by Haruhi. "Ow."

"Don't say that."

The two made an entrance to the ballroom with all eyes on them, everyone commenting on how good they looked together. Soon they were talking with most of the guests, due to them being occupied with the guests that neither of them noticed that something was being put in Haruhi's drink until Haruhi started coughing quite roughly.

"Are you okay?" Christian asked worried and Haruhi simply shook her head because she felt that she couldn't breathe anymore, Christian took the drink from her hands and gave it to one of the guests. Christian took action to take her to rest however she fell on the floor, her breathing getting more erratic.

"SOMEONE HELP ME! SOMEONE GET ME A DOCTOR!" Christian shouted making the guests worry before looking down at Haruhi. "Hey, don't close your eyes, please! I need a bloody doctor!"

Some of the guests who were doctors made their way to the couple to assist Haruhi, pushing Christian away so they could help her. He stood wondering what could happen, Jake grabbed the glass that Haruhi had drank and smelled it. His eyes widened as he caught onto the scent.

"She's been poisoned, it's vampire poison." Jake hissed the last part towards Christian. "Strengthened enough to kill her, those f*cking vampires sent someone to kill her. A spy did this."

"CLOSE ALL THE F*CKING DOORS! NOW! I WANT THAT ASSHOLE VAMPIRE SPY RIGHT HERE NOW!" Christian shouted and all the guests –werewolves, witches and hunters- made actions to look for the vampire spy that had poisoned.

"Is she going to be okay?" Christian asked looking at Haruhi who was shaking erratically.

"Considering she ingested it, it's going to be hard. But she's a strong girl, we need to find that f*cker and kill him." Jake suggested.

"You guys go. I'll stay here with her." Alexandria suggested.

Both of them went forward. That vampire was going to regret his life choices.
