Hello everyone! I'm so sorry for abandoning this story for so long. Life got complicated and my mind completely forgot about this story. I am back now and I intend to finish this story through. I hope you enjoy the 8th chapter! Thank you all so much for your support.

Jenna's body started to tremble as she read the letter over and over again. Not only did they find me, but they now have Charlie, she thought. The tremble that took over Jenna's body has now turned into a panic attack. Her mind started racing around from one thought to the next. How is she going to get Charlie back without giving them the one thing that will give them power? How did they find her when she knew she covered her tracks so well? What are they going to do to her once they see her? What is she going to do? The only thing she knew for a fact was that she cannot give them the key. She didn't want anyone else to suffer from what they will do with it, but she didn't want to lose Charlie either. The first person who showed genuine care for her, since her birth parents.

Marko's grip tightened slightly around Jenna as he slowly eased the both of them down to the ground. Marko gently placed Jenna in his lap and tried to grab her attention to stop her panic attack.

"Jenna, look at me. Come on Jenna, please look at me," Marko said. He grabbed her face and gently pulled her gaze to his.

"Hey, it's going to be all right. We are going to get Charlie back in one piece. He'll be fine. We won't let anything happen to him," he said brushing away the few silent tears that slipped from her eyes. Even though his words were meant to reassure her, he could tell that his words were going straight through Jenna. In her current state of panic, he knew that she wasn't going to hear what he was trying to say to her. He was at a complete loss on how to ease Jenna from her panic and how to stop it from increasing any further.

"How can you be so sure Marko? How can you be so sure that we'll get him back in one piece? These people Marko, these people are dangerous, manipulative monsters. They'll do anything just to get what they want,"she said. Her panic began to increase the longer she thought about what they could be doing to Charlie. He could be screaming in pain right this very moment and there is nothing that she can do to stop it. A small cry escaped Jenna lips as she thought about that, more tears began to fall down her face. Marko pulled Jenna closer to him brushing away the tears that escaped her eyes. He hated seeing her like this. He hated seeing her without any hope, without any belief that they'll get Charlie back alive. He needed her to believe that they will get him back without giving them what they want. As her breathing continued to get irregular, Marko knew that she was about to pass out. He needed to stop her panic before it turns into a panic attack. He wrecked around in his brain trying to come up with something that will stop her. After some time, he could only come up with one solution. He hoped that it will work, if it doesn't he wasn't sure what else he could do for her. Without thinking twice about it, he pulled Jenna's face towards his and pressed their lips together.

Jenna's body stilled against his, all the cells in her body felt frozen. Her brain could not grasp the fact that Marko's lips are against hers at this very moment. Her mind went blank on what to do next or what she should be doing now. Ever since the first meeting she had with Marko, she wanted to kiss him. Now that it was actually happening, she didn't know how react to it.

Even though it wasn't the best circumstances to have their first kiss in, Marko would make sure that it won't be their last kiss. A moment later Marko pulled his lips away from hers. She started up at him, trying to figure out why he did that. She wasn't upset that he kissed her though.

"Why did you?" she asked. Her brain not cooperating in forming complete sentences. Marko gently laughed at her question.

"I remember reading somewhere that in order to stop a panic attack, the best way to do it is to take the person's mind off of it or to temporally stop their heart. The only thing I could think of to stop the attack without hurting you was to kiss you and so I did," he said brushing his fingers across her cheek. She laughed.

"It defiantly worked because that kiss took my mind off of it and I believe the panic attack has officially left," she said. Not to mention that it took my breath away, literally, she thought. He smiled at her words.

"I'm glad to hear it, please don't you ever do that again to me. I can't bear to see you like that," he said. She was touched by his words and she knew that he really meant it.

"I'll do my best not to, however if you kiss me like that again most likely any attack I have will stop almost immediately," she said. Her eyes grew wide as she realized that those words actually came out of her mouth. The first part was supposed to be heard, however the rest wasn't. Marko winked at her. He moved his mouth near her ear.

"That will not be the last kiss I gave you. I intend to give you more," he said. She blushed at his words and then buried her face in his neck to hide her embarrassment.

"Wait Marko, I think I'm having a panic attack. Marko, please kiss me to make it go away," Paul said proceeding to fall dramatically in front of Marko and Jenna. Jenna laughed at his act, thankful that he is trying to lighten the situation that they are currently in. However the threat of what could be happening to Charlie never left her mind. She just needed to calm down and gather her thoughts before trying to come up with a decent plan on how to save him. Marko helped Jenna to her feet, but kept an arm around her waist to insure she stays balanced and upright.

"Yeah right Paul, the only lips that I'll be kissing will be Jenna's. You can just kiss yourself out of that panic attack or kiss Dwayne," Marko said.

"Hey, keep me out of this," Dwayne said coming up to Jenna and Marko. He silently asked if she is okay, in which she nodded at him. Dwayne kissed her forehead, gratefully that she's doing okay.

"You wound me, dear brother," Paul said jumping back onto his feet. The only response Marko provided to him was an eye roll in which Jenna silently laughed at, but then she grew serious. She needed to figure out a way to save Charlie from those horrible people.

Jenna tugged on the collar of Marko's jacket to grab his attention.

"Marko, how are we going to get him back alive without giving them that key?" she asked. I wish I never created it, but then again if I didn't they would have killed me or worse, she thought. Marko brushed her hair behind her ear and ran his fingers down her cheek.

"Don't worry, we will get him back to you and he'll be safe," he said. Jenna wanted to believe him, but her fear of them overpowered anything he was saying to her. If she was thinking clearly, she wouldn't be afraid of them because she has four very powerful vampires on her side. Those monsters that were her adoptive parents are just humans, however that thought never crossed her mind; only her fear of them.

"But Marko, even if we give them what they want, they'll just kill him because they hate me. They would do it just to be spiteful. I couldn't bear it if I loose him, Marko," Jenna said. Marko kissed the tip of her nose and pulled her close to him.

"Jenna we're vampires remember? Even if they try to kill Charlie in front of you, we will get to them before they can even raise a finger towards him," Dwayne said. She drew her face away from Marko's chest and smiled up at him.

"You're right. I'm sorry, I just keep thinking of what they're capable of that I forget that y'all are just has deadly as they are," she said.

"Correction, we are far more deadly then they are," David said moving closer to the group. That sinister look that David was giving her, she knew without a shadow of doubt that these boys can cause more pain and suffering than those monsters could have ever imagine.

"Right, far more deadly; but how will y'all be able to stop them without giving yourself away to everyone passing by on the boardwalk?" she asked. She is grateful for their help, however she doesn't want them to get hurt in the process or to have an angry mob come after them when people figure out that they're vampires. David snickered.

"When you meet them, they will probably lure you to a more secured and private place where no one can interrupt the conversation that they will have with you. They wouldn't want anyone else to overhear, now would they?" David asked. Jenna had to agree with David's statement; they would bring her somewhere else where no one can interrupt them.

"You're right. They would take me somewhere else more secluded," she said. Marko hugged her tighter to him.

"When they do, we will be flying overhead watching their every move. We will be able to hear every word that they say. They try anything towards you or Charlie and we will strike them before they can make a move," David said.

"Well, that is really reassuring. I feel a lot better knowing that y'all are above me, looking out for me," she said. Marko turned Jenna's face towards his.

"I won't let anything happen to you," he said kissing the tip of her nose.

"None of us will," Paul said. Her heart was touched by their words and actions. For the first time in a long time, she felt safe. Even with the looming threat hanging above her, she felt safe. Wait, did they just say they'll be flying overhead. Flying! she thought.

"Wait, my brain just caught up to what you just said. You said that you'll be flying overhead. As in you'll be floating above our heads, just there hanging around," she said making flying gesture with her hands. They all laughed at her shocked state. Marko took Jenna's hands and brought them down and kissed the top of her head.

"Hell yeah babe we can fly. Didn't we tell you that before?" Paul asked with a smirk on his face. She glared at him. She would have remembered them telling her that they can fly, after all it's not something that you hear everyday. She glanced around her and found the letter that she had dropped on the floor, without thinking she bent down, balled up the letter and threw it at Paul's head with all her might. Paul laughed and caught the ball before it could hit him. She pouted at that. She would have liked to see the ball bounce off his head.

"It would have been nice to know that in advance," she said glaring at Paul. Marko laughed at they're bickering.

"You would have found out eventually," Marko said. She turned her glare towards Marko.

"Right and how long would that have been?" she said. Marko winked at her and pulled her back into his embrace.

"Don't think that by you winking at me and hugging me is going to take away the fact that you kept a very key detail about you from me," she said, her voice muffled against his chest. He chuckled and just pulled her closer to him.

"All right let's get this lovey dove stuff over with and take Jenna's things back to the cave. Once at the cave, we'll come up with a firm plan," David said walking out of the room.

"Or what's left of my stuff," she said quietly as she slowly observed the destruction that once was her room. Marko looked down at her and rubbed his hands up and down her arms.

"Come on, we'll gather what hasn't been destroyed and what ever has been and you need it, we will get those things for you," Marko said. Jenna was about to protest that they don't need to get anything for her, when Marko placed a finer on her lips to silent her. He knew what she was going to say by the look on her face.

"Jenna, you're one of us now and we take care of our own," he said.

"Yea babe, you're one of us now. You don't have to worry about anything anymore," Paul said.

"Thank you," she said. She still couldn't believe that she was lucky enough to become friends with them; their need to take care of her, or specifically Marko taking care of her, has really touch her heart in more ways then she thought was possible. She barely known them for that long and yet she felt like she's known them for years.

Together her, Marko, Paul, and Dwayne began to gather the belongings that Jenna wanted to take with her. Some of her clothes were ripped apart, and some of her books had pages ripped out of them. Her heart lurched at the sight. She loved her books. It was a way to escape the reality that was once her life. Her mode decreased immensely, she wasn't sure how she can replace all the items that were destroyed. She didn't want the boys to buy everything for her. The boys placed the belongings that were not destroyed outside of her place.

"Thank you for helping," Jenna said placing the last bag on the ground with the others.

"Don't mention," Dwayne said giving her a side hug.

"So how are we going to get all the bags back to the cave?" she asked secretly hoping that the boys would fly the bags to the cave.

"That's easy babe," Paul said. He walked over grabbed one of her bags, winked at her, and then flew into the air. Jenna gasped and jumped back in shock.

"That is so freaking cool!" she said grinning up at where Paul just flew off to. She tried to watch him as he flew away but lost him in the dark sky. Dwayne then came forward and grab the rest of her bags. He smirked at her, kissed her cheek, and then flew up into the night sky just as Paul had done.

"You know, I don't think I will ever get use to y'all doing that around me," she said staring at where Dwayne was just standing. Marko laughed. He was happy to see her in a better mood than the one she was in before; however the thought of her going anywhere near the people who hurt her darkened his mood. He didn't want anything horrible to happen to her. Marko took a deep breath and pushed those thoughts aside for a later time. He didn't need to worry about that right night, as of this moment he just wanted to get Jenna back to the safety of their home. Marko went towards Jenna and placed his arm around her waist.

"Come on, let's go home," he said steering her towards his bike. Jenna dug her feet into the ground as best she could to stop him.

"Shouldn't we wait for Paul and Dwayne to get back before leaving and where in the heck did David go?" she asked. She just realized that David was nowhere in sight. She looked all around her to see if he could possibly be lurking by in the shadows, but she couldn't spot him anywhere. Marko looked around with her.

"You know, I have no idea where he ran off to. His bike is still here, so he must be coming back soon," Marko said, "that's strange of him to just leave without saying anything."

Out of nowhere, Paul and Dwayne dropped down right in front of her and Marko. Jenna screamed and jumped behind Marko to use him as a shield. All three boys laughed at her actions.

"That's not funny, I was scared out of my mind when y'all just freaking popped out of nowhere," she said giving each of them a hard glare.

"Babe, that was the most hilarious thing ever," Paul said wiping away a pretend tear from his eye. Her glare never softened. Paul laughed again and pulled Jenna in for a hug.

"Lighten up babe," Paul said.

"Fine, fine I'll lighten up," she said returning the hug. Just then David dropped down in front of the group. Jenna gasped in shock but stilled her movement to go behind Paul.

"Why must you do that?" she said burying her head into Paul's chest. David just laughed at her.

"Where the hell have you been man?" Marko asked. David shrugged his shoulders.

"Had to take care of some business," David said, "Come we need to get Star and Laddie from the boardwalk before heading back home."

He left the group and walked towards the bikes. I wonder what kind of business he had to take care of, Jenna thought.

"Off to the boardwalk we go," Paul said keeping his arm around Jenna's waist as they made their way towards the bikes. Marko came up to Jenna's free side, grabbed her arm and pulled her away from Paul towards him. Marko secured his arm around her waist. Jenna shook her head at his actions.

"What the heck bro?" Paul said looking offended.

"Hey you said that she can ride back with me," Marko said. Jenna laughed and hugged herself closer to Marko.

"That's true Paul, you did say that," Jenna said.

"Fine," Paul said with a grin on his face. Marko helped Jenna onto the back of his bike and they made their way towards the boardwalk.
