Conflict Resolution
All the guards were making awful angry sounds. The idea that someone had touched her, made them want to kill.
Draco was getting sick, who were these beings? Never mind, maybe he didn't want to know.
"No? I guess you don't. You married the grandchild of one of the keepers of gates, you don't even have a word for me. The ones who you call devils and their minions, the evil beings who are known as the dark hordes, stay on their side, on their realms, because of us."
Draco felt like going on his knees and ask for mercy and listened.
"I am sometimes known as the West King. I control the forces that create portals. Her fathers, you should fear them, many do, command armies of the unseen."
"We didn't know," Draco's voice was but a whisper.
"And nobody else will. Her boys did; she told them when she was little, and they still loved her."
"Do you want your boys? I talked to them. They will stay alive, I'll save them," asked Hermione.
Draco's heart bled, no, she shouldn't agree since it would break his heart.
"Whether I want them or not, is neither the issue nor the time to discuss it, not yet; don't distract me. Papa, if you hurt this world or this family, you won't see your grand-babies. By the way, I have sensed more than one." Her foot tapped on the floor, her arms crossed; she was defiant, no doubt about it.
The room was silent, mental betting was on, high stakes between all the guards and Wilbur. The bets were on who would win this scrimmage, the beauty or their King? Most of the bets were on her.
The cunning beauty, Wilbur was proud of her, so he planned ahead. She was his…later on, his uncle had promised. It was possible considering that humans life could be expanded only within limits, his mind was working.
Hmm, he had noticed his hated asexual cousin Vortex talking about her with interest. Now, Vortex was too powerful and dangerous. His uncle had told him, "Vortex just hasn't found the one…"
Her last words changed the game, "You won't see my children them as babies, not even from far away," she looked at her nails to hide her triumphant smile, check-mate.
Her grandfather changed into a human, and Draco breathed easier. He wasn't a monster just inhuman, so big, and that hair, made of what? He'd seen licks of fire, of molting lava...and the eyes, he shuddered. He was a puny ant when compared to any of them. Her cousin was much of the same, all of them were too scary for him.
"You ask too much; they all need to pay," her grandfather stayed somewhat firm.
"And what, weaken a portal for revenge killings?" Hermione raised her eyebrow, questioning him.
Draco admired her, she could have asked for their destruction.
After much negotiation, it was agreed that her Papa would do nothing. However, he would not be forgiving, punishment will have to be rendered, later; with a caveat: only punish the unrepentant ones.
Her father touched Hermione, and she stood in front of him. Draco saw the real Hermione and grinned. She was beautiful, and he needed to think what or who she reminded him off; all and all, she was Hermione, mostly.
"This is what is apparent, the other things are more private, later when we are alone," she winked at Draco, her uncle-father and her Papa made nasty noises.
"Oops, sorry, what I meant, my two hearts, and other things," she said, smiling, the picture of pure innocence.
Wilbur nearly guffawed, damn, she was naughty, and he liked that. The guards had to control their grins. Only this young one and her mother could get away with so much, it was amazing.
"And the babies?" Draco asked. He was concerned that he would be afraid of them.
"The babies, while here, will be perfectly human," her father answered, sounding annoyed.
"Ah, you are even shorter," Draco grinned looking at her.
They all laughed, angering her, "Yes, giant males and petite females, but don't let the size fool you," her tone was curt.
"Now choose your guards. And what about Kingsley and your friends? Wilbur will help them escape. I imagine no pregnancies?" Her Papa looked at her.
"Not a one," Wilbur answered.
"Great, help them escape. And hide her friends, every one of them after you free them."
"Yes, leave Kingsley and his friends to me, we will tear him apart, slowly." Wilbur wanted to make him suffer.
A scroll appeared on Draco's hand.
"Ah, it is from my father, let me read it, I will show you in a minute."
Everyone laughed nastily, "What else?"
He was distressed, "You need to see it. Thanks." Wilbur took it and read it aloud.
Help! Tell them to help me. I saw either the devil or a monstrous demon with your aunt Bella. Both were in bed with your mom. I hate to say it, but they were shagging. I heard them talk, they want to kill us. Afterward, he will assume my form. Tell her relatives that they want your Muddy…
Her grandfather growled, "The ass needs to be chained and caged, still calling my baby names, but this is serious."
He called a guard. "Go to Cernes my half brother, he needs to come, the passage will be open. We have a soul that needs to go back into The Nothing. The soul has managed to get attached to Zebu, the most wicked one. Go!"
No sooner, he left, when the room filled with light. They saw a petite blond Hermione with a set of white fairy wings, covered with a diaphanous cloth that left little to the imagination, but also wearing thick combat boots, heavy belts, and loaded with an assortment of weapons; armed to the teeth was putting it mildly.
She wasn't alone, she came along with 20 more females like her, tiny but menacing. The males in the room were easily three times their size; many of them admiring the newcomers.
Her voice was powerful, "You are surrounded. We detected a great disturbance never seen around here. Zebu, the Demon, is taking over this realm, some idiot invited him onto her bed, creating a hole. Many of his minions are gathering just outside."
"I know, but he is already on his way out. We are going to send him back." Her Papa answered haughtily.
"You are wrong, he isn't. We will need to fight. You have many here, we can bring them down."
Draco wanted to wake up; he was sick with fear. He had already seen that his mother had brought a demon to shag but it a nightmare. Wait, was this the end of things, and all because of his mother and aunt Bella? Gods, he hated his aunt Bella.
The whatever-being confronted the King. She flew around angrily.
"You were supposed to care for them, for my daughter and my grandchild, and you let them stay here, in a brutal and uncivilized place. My baby was hurt, I was informed, she was tortured by the one with Zebu."
Hermione cringed, here we go again she thought, it wasn't over.
"You should have seen and heard her screams, she was bleeding. I saw a replay from the creature that saved her. It was terrible."
Of course, she had stirred up the pot. Both the tiny females and the giant guards were making warring sounds.
Isn't life grand, Hermione thought. Luckily for Hermione and the Malfoy, her Papa was looking cowardly, he was being chewed.
Draco couldn't believe, he expected to be killed on the spot, but instead, the fearless warrior King had turned meek.
"My dear, I cannot say no to them. I am powerless, the two of them look too much like you; besides, I love them too much."
All her brethren were snickering along with the guards.
"It is your fault," he added, "You should have stayed to help me raise her." He crossed his arms and made an angry face.
"I should have, you are right. I was wrong," the newcomer was crying odd looking tears. They made plink sounds on the marble floor.
Everyone was confused, they all had heard different stories. The flyer landed and ran to hug Hermione, "My poor, poor baby."
"Don't touch me," Hermione looked and sounded cold as ice. "What do you care? You abandoned my mother, who still wonders why you left her. You made her sad."
"Is that what he said? He, your Papa, wanted me to give up my place. I am the commander of legions, so I offered to be here often. He said no, one or the other. It tore me up. I begged, and he forbade me to see her, and then you after you were born."
Hermione's eyes turned dark, "Papa, it was wrong to ask her to give it all up. What kind of nonsense is that?"
He said nothing but for a slight shrug.
"Besides, I had no choice, I couldn't have come back with a child. I would have lost my post. Although we have a common enemy, we are forbidden his kind, your Papa's kind. My commanders said that our common children would only feed on darkness and bad energies. But they are wrong, you are the proof because you are of the Light; my baby, I miss you and your mother every day."
Hermione was about to say that dark energies were tasty, like fattening sweets or caffeinated energy drinks, yummy but on moderation. No best to let her believe whatever.
Wilbur looked at Hermione, he knew of her dark side, but she looked the other way. Her father-uncle lowered his head to smile, he knew better, hell, he was the same.
Wilbur was in love, a smart, cunning female. She was one of the sought warrior beauties, a prize, but with an extra kick, from the Light and spicy; like the snacks humans like.
As for Draco, he agreed, Hermione was, well, she was perfect, lighter than Light. He saw her with the eyes of a lover.
Hermione hugged her grandmother, reluctantly. Oh, no, she backed up and shook her head, no, it couldn't be, not the baby, but Lucius spying on them.
Hermione knew it, her grandmother knew. So she made a supplicant face not to stir her Papa again, her grandmother nodded. This earned her points.
"I will make my commanders see." Her grandmother kissed Hermione and ran to the giant, who sat her on his lap. She looked at him adoringly, and he sighed, he was happy.
More snickering could be heard all over the place. Hermione looked at her father, and at Wilbur, both were smiling from ear to ear.
The couple kissed in front of everyone, a chaste kiss.
The reaction was unexpected, the females sighed, and the giants cheered.
Unfortunately, that was it because a great commotion was heard; the demons were there in full force tearing walls. They had come for Hermione. Except a surprise waited inside.
They all agreed, it was a fight.
Draco offered, "Though I am not sure that I can help, count on me. They cannot hurt my wife or my babies, I'll give my life for them. Aunt Bella needs to go!" He spoke valiantly, still hoping this was all a bad dream.
A/N Poor Draco, so sweet though.
