I'm Baaaaccckkk!

Ruby crossed the lobby floor, a sway in her step made the tattered hem of her cloak dance around her feet with each step she took. When she passed a couple of soldiers they saluted her, she nodded in return, she may of not had a rank but she held respect among the soldiers for the kills she had made for the cause. She wondered if they would have the same respect if they knew she was human. Of course they wouldn't.

She headed towards Adam who sat in a high backed chair with his boots resting on a table in front of him covered in papers, maps, and diagrams. He was slowly sharpening his sword with a well worn whettrock.

Thanks to the mask that was seemingly permanently fixed to his face, she couldn't see where he was looking.

"Red." He said in acknowledgment as he heard her approach. "Adam." She said tensely as she pulled out the chair from across from him and sat in it.

Adam stopped sharpening the crimson blade and they just stared at each other for several minutes until Ruby decided to break the silence. "What something on my face?" She snapped after the quiet staring started to unnerve her,

"No," Adam said with a smirk. "I was just thinking."

"About." Ruby asked shifting her weight in the chair. She couldn't read Adam, and she didn't like that.

"How to make you realize that I own you." He said nonchalantly as he continued sharpening his blade the low rasping sound filled the air.

Ruby's eye twitched slightly and she leaned forwards in her chair lowering her voice. "You do not own me!" She bit off the words in a quiet growl.

Adam's boots hit the granite floor and he leaned forwards also. "Oh, but I do. And you'll do what I say, if you want Blake to go unharmed." He threatened.

Ruby's hand reached for crescent moon on impulse and she felt Adam's blade rest against her throat and she froze. "Now neither of us want Blake dead right?" Adam asked.

Ruby swallowed her throat pressing into the blade and she felt her aura twinge. "Right." she said slowly, trying to calm her rapid heart beat and moved her hand back into her lap.

Adam left his blade for a bit longer before he removed it and relaxed back in his seat. "Your going to Grulora." He told her. Speaking as if the incidence that had just occurred hadn't happened at all.

"What's in Grulora?" She asked, not even sure if she had even heard of it.

"An Atlas Politician will be there, he's visiting small village's in Mistral looking for huntsman and anyone that will help the Atlas military fight us." Adam explained.

"So you want me to kill him?"

Adam nodded. " I want them to see the reach of the White Fang."

Ruby nodded her agreement.

"There is an airship waiting to take you there, and Blake will be staying here." Adam said nicely but the threat was clear, Do not fail this assignment like last time. Ruby reached into her cloak and pulled out her mask and donned it.

She wouldn't fail.

"Come in." Gold said after Yang knocked on the door. The door opened and she entered. "Your nose looks better." Gold said looking up from the document on the table. Yang scoffed as she halfheartedly saluted him.

"That was bullshit and you know it." She grunted crossing her arms over her chest. He smirked slightly as his eyes returned to the papers he was staring at.

"it was still useful." he mumbled and motioned for her to sit in the chair in front of his desk.

Yang shook her head, "I've been sitting long enough." She refused.

"Ok." Gold stated. " I've got a mission for you."

Yang smiled. "Its about time." She said excitedly but her excitement was short lived. "Its in Grulora, you'll be guarding an Atlas politician as he looks for volunteers." The Captain stated.

Yang's jaw tightened. This was not what she wanted. Gold was forcing her farther from her sister.

"Why are you keeping me out of Atlas." Yang said trying to keep her voice even.

"You let your sister go the last time you ran into her." Gold said putting down the papers and looking at her.

"She's my sister, I can help her." Yang said.

"That's exactly why, She's past help!" Gold snapped. Yang stared at him stunned. "You want her dead." she breathed.

"Yang, She's killed her own allies, She's to far gone." Gold said sitting back in his chair. "And for the record we aren't going to kill her, just make her attone for those deaths."

"So prison." Yang bit.

Gold nodded. "Its the best I can do after what she's done, just a couple of years."

"Don't forget what I promised you." Yang said as she turned towards the door.

Gold nodded. "There's an airship waiting on you to take you to Grulora." he said as Yang closed the door.

Gold sighed, reached into his desk and pulled out a silver flask and took a long drink.
