Chapter 13 – Sibling Rivalry
Usagi was in her room, thinking on if Berylia was going to change one day. She despreatly wanted to help her. She was just another lost soul and she knew that she could help her change. But as long as she lived in that awfull world, she couldn't do anything.
« Usagi!? » as Queen Serenity knocked on her bedroom door and slowly entered.
« Queen Serenity… » as she took a bow.
« Please, we're family. You don't have to pull rank with me. Just call me Selene. Now, I feel you have a lot of weight on your shoulders for such a young lady. »
« I'm so puzzled on what I should do. How am I supposed to defeat my sister? »
« I'm sure you'll find a way. I was in the same situation you are, once upon a time. » as she sat down on her bed, stairing at the midnight sky.
« Oh really, what did you do? »
« Just let me tell you the story of the Great Mirrors. »
« You mean like the one I possess? »
« You ? »
« Yes, I possess the Great Golden Mirror of Dreams… »
« Oh wow… That's impressive. Okay, now, listen carefully… My story isn't about the magical Mirrors, but the two Great Mirror. The White and the Black Mirrors. The were both very special and had powers all on their own. The Great White belonged to my parents and the Great Black belonged to Nehelenia's parents. But since she had lost her parents to the very first war against the Negaverse, but I do believe that she henrited it too early. The powers of the Great Black are to show your heart's desire. So depending on the owner, it can truely be a bad thing. She spent all of her time in front of it. Resulting to the fact that Nehelenia didn't have any friends. Me, when I had mine, I thaught it was just a simple mirror, so it wa in my dresser just like any other mirror. I had more interesting things to do. I would hang out with the four princesses and Chronos… »
« … Chronos, who is that? » as Usagi suddenly interrupts.
« Chronos was a young general from Earth. Queen Gaia and my mother were best friends and he was my mother's favorite. But he just loved to get on my nerves. But we were so young. »
( What are you going to do Serenity, hit me? )
( No )
( And why is that? )
( Because unlike you Chronos, I am a well mannered princess. )
He might have been a cocky jerk, but also very handsome, But at that age, I only wanted to poung his head through the dirt… Years later, at a formal ceremony, (which I later learned it was our arranged engagedment night), we had found eachother again. But our feelings were different. My hate for his weirdness had evolved into something more passionate. His cockyness had changed into such a, what's the word you kids use, Smexy attitude and especially that body. And I could see that he felt the same thing. We were in Love.
But when Nehelenia had found out that we were married, she had lost any change she had to inherite the throne of The Moon Kingdom. So she seeked out the powers of the Golden Crystal of Elysion. She was told that it held the powers of the dreams of everybody on Earth. So, she was convinced that it would make her own dreams come true. »
« Tell me about it, it still makes me sick just thinking about it. »
« I'm so sorry about that Usagi… »
« Don't worry about it, it's not your fault. She's the one that attacked us. »
« I should have defeated er when I had the chance. Instead, I just sealed her away. I didn't have the courage… All because she's family and I am too forgiving. She believed that the key to the throne was Chronos. So she began to plan her revenge. Then, one day, without warning she attacked us when we were alone. The attack was brutal. We knew she wanted us to die.
( Nehelenia, we are family, why are you doing this? )
( For ultimate power, you fools ! )
« Then, just as Nehelenia powered for a final blast, Chronos stepped in front of it, protecting me. He protected me from all the powerfull blasts. I tried to protect him, but I just couldn't move. When Nehelenia finally stopped her attacks, it was too late. Chronos was too wounded to move or even porotect me. »
« Oh no… Hey, but I don't understand, how did mother come to be if grampa Chronos died!? »
« Just listen, I'm not finished. »
« Nehelenia threatened me to sign over the Moon Kingdom or she would kill Chronos and would make me watch. Nehelenia had a kingdom of her own, but still, she wanted mine. We would soon learn that she had found a way to steal the dream mirrors of all of her subjects and wanted to do the same with the people of the White Moon. So I needed to stop her. But my forgiving nature, she knew I would never be able to kill her. So I found the best solution to the problem. I found a way to seal her inside The Great Black mirror. But before the spell was cast, Nehelenia swore to return. I really should have not taken her threaths lightly… »
« You shouldn't feel so sad, you would have never known that she would have found a way to free herslef and attack the Earth. » as she hugged Selene, trying to confort her. « But should I defeat my sister? »
« No, I am telling you to search your heart, then, you will know what to do. »
« I think I know what to do now, thank you. » as she then transformred and headed out for battle. « Prepare yourself Berylia, I am ready for you. »
« Another time dear sister… But Tera will take care of you. »
In another part of the Underworld, Tera was ignoring Pyrolia, yet again.
« Her majesty commands you to go fight Sailor Moon. Now go. » as Pyrolia shreeked at her eldest sister.
« No, I don't even care for this stuff anyways, you do it. »
« What are you saying? Do you know that I'm your superior in rank, so you'd better listen to me. »
« Come on Pyrolia, you're the youngest of the four of us and the Queen likes you the best cause you're the only one that is « psycho ». »
« You had better go before I go totally « psycho » on you Tera. »
« Whatever, it's boring here anyways. »
At the battlefield.
« Hello there Sailor Moon, My name is Tera. I don't really want to fight you, but to save my backside from Queen Berylia, I must. NOW DIE! »
