Chapter 16 - A Familiar Battle
On her way to the market place, Usagi had transformed and the other girls had joined up with her. Seeing what the monsters were doing to all those people, those who were already trapped by them were in a kind of a spiderweb coccoon. Venus looked at Mercury and asked if their names were in the database.
" They are called the "Doom and Gloom" girls, they are Rated "X"... " as she checked on her computer.
" "X"? Isn't that for Extreme Danger? " as Jupiter sounded a bit worried.
" Mercury, how could they be in the database if we haven't encountered them before? " asks Mars with a puzzled tone in her voice.
" I heard mother talking about them a few years ago. She talked about it as if it cost them alot. I always wondered what she meant by that, but hey." as Usagi was rambling on and on, again.
" Watch your backs everybody, I think they are here, not far... "
" JUPITER ... LOOK OUT ! " as Sailor Moon saw the monster at the last minute.
But it was too late. Jupiter had been taken by one of the Doom and Gloom Ladies. She had her in her extendable tentacles and just as she was to take her underground to the Underworld, you could hear Jupiter whisper out a simple sentence. " I'm sorry daddy. " Then, Lord Nephlite had a sinking feeling and for a reason her didn't knew, he knew it was about his little girl.
" I detect a presence to the north and another to the south. You guys go ahead, I'll go this way." as Mercury was analysing the situation on her computer.
" Be careful Mercury." asks Sailor Moon.
" I'll try my best, now go!"
Just then, another Doom and Gloom lady appeared out of nowhere and grabbed Mercury. Squeezing her enough that just before she lost consciousness, she screamed out " I LOVE YOU DADDY! " Lord Zoisite felt out her pain and knew something needed to be done.
Then, one of the other Doom and Gloom Ladies saw that Sailor Moon was alone in her corner and found the opportunity to grab her and bring her to the Queen. " Time for the little princess, her majesty will be so proud." as she stretched out her tentacles, about to grab Sailor Moon. But Sailor Venus pushed her out of the way, taking the attack in her place.
" Venus, let me help you." screams out Sailor Moon.
" No, Sailor Moon! You sould continue... The girls are gone and you have to go on." [I'm sorry daddy, I tried to protect her.] Then, Lord Malachite sensed his daughter's pain just before she was taken to the Underworld.
" Katrina, let's get help. Maybe my mom will know what to do." as Sailor Moon started to panic.
" Usagi, I might not be as experimented as you are and I know I might not win here today, but I believe in you and I always will... " as Mars comforted her friend from panic.
" What do you mean?"
" Go find your sister. She needs you, even if she doesn't know it yet."
Then, the last monster creaped up from behind Sailor Mars, she grabbed her by the leg and pulled her down. [Papa, I'm sorry.] And then, she was gone into the Underworld.
Then, Sailor Moon found herself all alone. The Doom and Gloom Ladies were all gone and she didn't know what to do any more. She curled up into a ball and started to cry. Then, a hand landed on Sailor Moon's shoulder. It was a starnge senshi that she didn't recognise.
" Don't cry Sailor Moon. I'll help you get your friends back. The Underworld captured them to get to you. Can't you feel their presence? Can't you sense that they are still alive? " as the new senshi told Sailor Moon.
" Who are you? How do you know me? " as Sailor Moon asks her.
" We can help each other can't we? Between family and all..."
" Mamori, is that you? You're a senshi too? But how ..."
" Well, it's the family bisness I guess, since my mother is one, I was born into it, just like you. My senshi name is Sailor Earth. Now, let's go find your friends."
" Okay." as she takes Sailor Earth's hand as she helped her up and concentrated on her friends energies. " Come on Mamori, we can do this, together."
" I'm with you all the way Usagi, Sailor Moon. By the way, are you sure we're going the right way. We don't know where they were taken." says Sailor Earth.
" I can feel them, this is the right way, but we have to hurry up. Their energy is different somehow." as Sailor Moon started to panic again.
Then, just as they arrived into a wierd canyon, Queen Berylia was waiting for her little sister.
" Welcome dear little sister. You are within the limits of my kingdom. Trust me, you won't leave this place anytime soon. Just like your little girlfriends." as she laughed evilly.
" What have you done to them...?" as she saw four dark shadows behind the Queen.
" Nothing too dramatic. They serve me now."
" You Lie. "
" Watch for yourself! " as she points out her friends. " As you can see, they are perfectly healthy."
" Jupiter... Mercury... Come on girls, wake up. Let's go home." as Usagi tried to reason with her friends.
" Sailor Moon wait! I don't think that they are in their right mind. I think it might be better not to get close to them."
" Sailor Earth, what do you mean?"
" They are possessed! "
" What have you done to them, make them as they were before."
" You have to be kiding me. Unless ... "
" Unless what? "
I want total and complete submission from you and Neo Queen Serenity."
" You have to be crazy or something. Neither me nor my mother would accept to such terms."
"Well, you won't see them as they were. And my new Sailor Senshi team will try to change your mind."
" Girls, don't do this. I'm your friend. Venus ... Mercury ... Mars ... Jupiter... Stop it."
" It's pointless to try. They only obey me." as Queen Berylia ordered the first attack on Sailor Moon.
