Honestly, I don't know why I never finished this. I love writing this story, and it brings back so many memories!
"Jay," Mal had been calling through the door for over several minutes now, and she had about just enough of this silence treatment, "Fine, let's do this the hard way."
She huffed some hair out of her face before she started chanting, "Mighty door with a solid latch, open now for a tenacious act."
With a quick click of the lock, the door slid open for her and she barged in. A small gasp left her lips, "Where the hell are they?"
She started zooming through their room on campus for any signs of their presence or something of interest while dialing Ben. It rang for a couple of seconds before he picked up, "Mal?"
Her purple hair flowed with her swift movements, "Ben, we have a problem," She bit her lip instinctively, "Jay and Carlos are nowhere to be found. I just checked their dorm and it's completely desolate."
Ben had been silent for quite a while before he spoke up, "Should we let anyone know," His voice was low and serious.
"Where are you right now," Mal closed the door back promptly before heading towards the Boys' Dorm Exit.
"I'm at my Dad's office," There was a shuffle before Mal heard Ben talking to someone briefly in the background, "Oh, hey, Herc, how ya been?"
Mal put her nosy face on and listened intently, "I've been just fine squirt," Another shuffle.
"Hey now, I'm not little any longer and also, my hair was so neat before you ruined it," Ben gave a gentle laugh before he put his ear back up to the phone, "Sorry about that Babe."
Mal gave a small smile waving at some of the girls passing by her, "It's fine, honestly. But was that Hercules you just said?"
Ben chuckled before responding, "Yeah, he's on the Security Committee for the artifacts in the Museum. He's here to give the final report on the necklace."
He went back to talking freakishly low on the other end and Mal just nodded still skeptical about Ursula's Necklace. Why would something so useless be stolen? Thrown out of her thoughts, she saw a girl she had never met before standing on the tree where Carlos likes to hang out, but something was odd about her. She had tiny dots flying all around her. What the hell?
"Hey babe," Mal spoke up finally, "I'm gonna let you go. I have someone I need to talk to right now. And uh, hey, I love you."
Ben spoke back fervently, "Alright, don't forget the dinner date tomorrow night and let me know if Carlos or Jay come up. If need be, I can let my Dad know. And yes, I love you too!"
With a click, Mal stuffed the phone in her pocket before strolling up. Soon, the small black dots became swarming metallic-looking balls. The girl wasn't in the tree as Mal had previously thought, but she was riding on the stream of balls with her long, thick blonde hair swaying ever so gently to the wind. Mal stopped near the gather of small metal, but not enough to get caught up in whatever the hell was going on. She was confused, but the girl seemed a bit suspicious. Mal had never seen her around before, and she was certain that she knew everyone in her grade.
The sound of clicking and clanging of the balls increased before a small voice was heard, "What do you want?"
The girl didn't turn to even see Mal standing there, so just how did she know she was there? With a clear of Mal's throat, "Who are you?"
"I'm getting tired of being asked the same questions," Finally the young girl had turned around with the help of the smalls dots.
Slowly, she climbed down when the bots formed a staircase, "Fine, I'll answer your question. My name is Mariea. I am the daughter of Hiro Hamada."
Mal's head tilted questioningly, "Okay, what are those balls?"
"Oh, these," A swarm of them traveled in a circular motion around her hand when she lifted it up, "These are microbots, and they're not balls. Look closely."
A throng of them came Mal's way, and she squeaked before they stopped holding out only one. It appeared to be in a weird shape, but they looked very sophisticated, "So, um, what are they made for?"
"Your imagination," Mariea spoke directly while they came swiveling back to her, "Well, more specifically for my imagination."
Mal gawked in amazement. She had never seen anything like them, and she was absolutely stunned but she shook her thoughts. That's not why she was here, "What class are you in?"
Mariea pursed her lips, "Year 1, I just transferred here about 2 months ago."
The purple haired girl nodded respectively. That's why she had never seen Mariea around, "One more question."
The blonde waved her hand as if meaning for Mal to continue, "Well, have you seen a lanky boy with peppered black and white hair who looks like a lost puppy or a tanned-broad male with long brown hair who looks like a wild animal?"
Mariea tried her best, but she ended up bursting out loud with laughter, "My my, you have no idea, do you?"
Mal peered around to make sure she wasn't missing something, "Uh, no."
The young girl brought a hand up to her mouth before clearing her throat, "Well, be forewarned. Things are about to change and your two friends are caught up in something far greater than they could ever hope to imagine."
With a quick breath, "What do you mean?"
"I have no more time for your silly questions, Mal," The girls stated obviously before letting her microbots soar her up into the sky before Mal could protest.
"Wait," She called out, "How the fuck did you know my name?"
Mal finally put her gaze back down staring intently at the tree. She had no clue what was going on, but with the recent events, everything started pointing towards something major.
"Hercules, thank you so much for coming," Beast nodded while sitting at his ginormous dark oak desk. His shoulders were held high and his arms held a V-line posture where his hands twined together holding his head up by the chin.
He scooted up further in the red, velvet chair that had a vast number of books being the scenery behind it. The Office was as to be expected; Clean, large, and held a state of authority within it. Hercules had bowed respectively jostling his orange hair before gazing up with his atmospheric eyes.
"Hello, King," He sat down with a small stack of papers within his grasp, "I have the final report on the incident. Although there is not much evidence, I can assure you that my team and I are working very diligently to find the culprit!"
Beast acknowledged Hercules earnestness and power to pursue the enemy to no ends, but there was something irking Beast. Everyone kept sauntering over the same question; Why Ursula's Necklace? Out of all of the artifacts within the museum, why was it something so meaningless? Beast stood abruptly causing Hercules to stand as well.
"Is something the matter, King," Hercules bowed vigorously.
"Drop the formalities, Herc," Beast hastily made his way over to the Orange haired God taking the papers within his clutch before tossing them onto his desk, "Tell me that you will find whoever did this and bring them directly to me for interrogation?"
Hercules stood tall peering at Beast, "Of course, I will oblige anything you request of me…"
Beast finally broke into a smile, "Thank you, friend."
"Beast," Hercules smirked as well, "Man, you need a hair-cut. You want me to cut it really fast?"
"You can cut hair," Beast stepped back in amusement, "Since when?"
"Well, I've kinda been interested in it since as of late, so maybe you could let me experiment on you?"
The King hesitated but gave an albeit grin, "Fine, but do not make me look ugly. Belle wouldn't bed me for weeks if I'm not careful. And that woman drives me insane when she doesn't let me—"
"Enough, I don't want to hear about your sex life," Hercules stuck his tongue out in disgust.
"Oh please," Beast went to sit down back at his chair, "You just need a woman in your life. After Megara passed away, you have been feigning innocence. You need to—By the way, do you have scissors—get yourself a woman who is going to give you what you desire."
Hercules had already rounded the desk as well letting his hands amble through Beasts hair, "I always bring scissors, and to counter attack you, I do have my share of maidens, but nobody will ever compare to my one and only love—Megara."
The King smiled deafeningly, "I don't know how you do it. If I ever lost Belle, I don't know what I would do…I would probably be so devastated to no point of return."
"Megara may have been my life, but she wouldn't have wanted me to give up on it," Hercules was cutting the hair quickly just giving a slight trim to the Beasts natural thickness.
"You're right," Beast fell back against the chair feeling nice and cozy, "I'm sure Belle would feel the same way."
Hercules hummed in approval before stating, "Alright, all finished."
Beast opened his eyes at the statement, "Wow, that was fast."
The God was on his knees scraping the hair up within his hands, "Yeah, well, I have been getting the same reactions from the others I have done that I work quickly for someone so new to all this."
Beast strolled over to his vanity peering into the mirror, "Not too shabby for you being so new. You'll have to start cutting my hair."
Hercules snickered hiding one hand behind his back, "I guess so, anyway, I best be on my way. I need to find this criminal."
The King turned around giving a serene smile, "Alright, you know where to find me when the culprit is found," That was the last thing said before Hercules left the room.
The Beast was completely oblivious to his true intentions while Hercules rounded the corner pulling out a small bag. He started putting the excess pieces of hair into the bag before closing it up. He crumpled the bag stuffing it into his back pocket. Everything was going according to plan he smiled deviously while stomping down the hall.
Hope you enjoyed this chapter! Things should be starting to get clearer and clearer, but mysteries will not be solved so easily! Anyway, hope you enjoyed! :D
