Welcome back to this fine story! It's time to meet a helpful Granny!

Okay, this was not how he planned it to go. He was utterly lost, and this damned town had no idea of any boy with speckled white and black hair. The shops around didn't have anything of interest like he had imagined Auradon to have, but it's not like he came here to enjoy the snatchings of items to his liking. The only item he needed was to find Carlos, grab him by his left ear and pull his ass all the way back to the dorms.

Jay was so irked by the boy's defiance and eagerness to leave the comfort of the school grounds and venture out on his own into the unknown. But, that didn't matter right now. All that mattered was that, hopefully, soon, Carlos would be in Jay's grasp once more. The tanned boy ruffled a hand through his already disheveled hair letting out a jubilant groan.

"You seem to be quite frustrated, young'n," An older sounding voice slipped into his ear, "Are ye from Auradon High?"

He finally turned his attention towards the voice seeing a small woman perched on a pedestal behind a stall of desserts. She was puny in comparison to a normal human, and she was smiling with her eyes closed directly. Her hands sat atop her lap while her legs remained closed but dangled off the seat and into the air. He blinked a couple of times to make sure he was staring correctly.

"Uh, yeah," He walked over to her as people passed by aggressively. The city was booming with civilians, "I, uh, am from Auradon High."

Finally, her smile dissipated but her eyes did not open, "Well, would ye like a sweet," She lifted her hand gesturing to the small amounts of sweets that plastered the stand.

"Uh, no," His mouth watered looking at them, but he was entirely too caught up at the moment.

"Aw, c'mon," Her smile returned wickedly, "Ye see, these are just samples. Behind us, that is my Sweet Shop. Would ye like to come in?"

He gulped, "Nah Granny, I'm kinda busy."

Jay turned around distinctively, but stopped in his tracks almost immediately, "I'm sure he would like to visit this Sweet Shop of mine," A small chuckle gave way.

On instinct, Jay swung his body around crashing his hands on the small market before him, "What do you mean he?"

"It is just as it suggests," She placed a hand to her lips muffling her laughter, "Wouldn't you be a dearie, and c'mon in?"

She lifted her head up with no signs of her eyes revealing themselves any time soon. He didn't have time to waste, but what she had said to him had him overly curious. Blinking out his daze, he replied, "Sure."

Her white-haired bun bounced as she jumped out of the seat and quickly headed inside her Shop, "Uh, what about the sweets?"

"Like I stated, they are samples," The older lady stepped aside letting Jay follow in behind her, "Me brother will watch over the stand for me."

She stared outside before closing the door. Jay watched curiously and almost confused, "But, there is no one out there?"

He slowly followed her inside the so-called shop but it appeared more as a house with some sweets plastering the features. A dark purple curtain hung low behind a desk where a multitude of sweets were showcased before it. The curtain led into another section of the place which the older lady headed towards. Jay marveled at the sweets and also thought that they were heading towards he kitchen, perhaps. His thoughts were ceased when he ducked underneath the curtain almost hitting the top of his head on the door frame.

Instead of a kitchen, there was a huge room that sectioned out into different parts. On the far left, there was a couch, coffee table, a tall lamp protruding an almost blood-orange light to the room, a rug, and pictures with hypnotic features hanging from the walls. The right side of the room had a table with a light purple cloth covering it with four chairs surrounding it. Finally, in the middle of the room sat another table with a black tablecloth slipping down onto the floor before two seats; both on opposite sides while a very large crystal ball sat atop in the middle of the table.

There was not much light in the room, and it really lit the crystal ball's features quite nicely. Jay couldn't really comprehend what was going on, but he didn't have much time to think as the old lady had plopped herself in the chair before him gesturing for him to sit down with her. He obliged skeptically, but seated before her watching as the ball swirled small lights within it. He was highly amused by its mesmerizing movements.

"Let me introduce meself, boy," The older lady spoke up letting her eyes take a wicked grin but never showing them, "Me name is Fa but people call me Grandmother Fa. I am in touch with the spirit world faithfully, and they tell me a plethora of thoughts, ideals, and doings within this Kingdom. I know things that many would never expect someone of me low status to know…with all of this being said, I know what ye are seeking. Answers are in yer future. Before us is the Orbuculum. It will show me anything or anyone within its power. I say its power because there are exceptions to it. It shall not show me anything with a witch in the presence or in the vicinity…And trust me when I say there are a myriad of witches within this Kingdom. I digress, so shall ye tell me what ye oh so desire."

Her hands rise covering the Crystal ball firmly before she swivels her palms against the strange texture, "Well, Granny Fa, from what I can tell. Ya already know what I want."

A small laugh gave way, "Ye are so keen," Her smile faltered, "Tell me in detail what ye desire."

"If you insist," He peered down at her and this crystal ball, "I am seeking Carlos De Vil. He resides in Auradon High, but he is within this city."

Slowly, agonizingly slowly, the ball started to show black dots before suddenly, Granny Fa's eyes shot open completely white with no pupils, "Ask and ye shall receive."

There was Carlos. His Carlos, knees on the floor, eyes empty and soulless, and his body unmoving. Jay watched in horror. He thought that Carlos was having fun and exploring without him, but to see that he was in such a—such a mortified and lifeless state made jay clench his fists and grind his teeth. Whoever did this would pay for doing it. Gulping roughly, Jay shot his gaze back up to Granny Fa as the image quickly dissipated. Her eyes snapped shut, and she peered down at the Crystal Ball.

"A witch interfered with the connection," She spoke lightly, "Are ye satisfied with yer answer?"

"Far from it," He rose with his brows knitted, "I need to know where he is so that I can save him!"

Granny Fa jumped from the chair standing before him, "I apologize, but I do not know where he lies."

His eyes searched her facial expression knowing damn well she knew where Carlos was. The only thing that gave a hint was that Carlos was near a witch. That was the only damn thing that was given to Jay, "C'mon, there has to be something."

"The Isle of the Lost has had many deaths, has it not," Granny Fa spoke up with raised eyebrows.

"Yeah, what of it," Jay replied harshly backing up to view her entirety.

A grin flushed her expression before Jay registered what she was playing at, "Well, I suppose that death is inevitable, but to some degree, people enjoy cheating death. One of the great mysteries of the world lie within fate. If not for Queen Belle before her timely encounter with King Beast, she may have fallen victim to Gaston. In unlikely events, things did not go Gaston's way, and he was forced to The Isle of the Lost for all eternity. Yet death came too quickly for him, and he was unable to cheat death, or so they say."

"Wait, so you're sayin' that Gaston is alive," Jay's puzzled appearance said it all, "I-I uh, yeah, death came for him, but even if he could have cheated it. Where could he have gone?"

"Some in the Kingdom betray their King's kindness and do so with discreet discretion. Ye of all people should know villains are always lurking in the most obvious places," Her smile fell and she finally moved on back towards the front of the shop.

"Is there any way to know what a villain's lair looks like within the city."

"Ye should know villains love to flaunt darkness within their grasp, and they love big doors," She ruffled through her attire before opening the door, "Also, ye should look closely within yer heart. I'm sure ye will find more answers in there than any of mine combined. Now, be gone with ye. I do have a store to run."

As she kicked him out, Jay gazed the busy street with more bewilderment than ever, but he now knew more than what he even bargained for. Granny Fa was an interesting character, but she gave him exactly what he needed. With his newfound resolve, he flew down the stairs in search of Carlos.

I'm so hungry! Carlos thought but maybe it wasn't the fact that he was hungry, but he just felt so empty. Being here only made him think more and more about his sad predicament. Who knew Gaston would do something like this? What was the point anyway? Carlos had no idea what was going on with his body at the moment and couldn't even think about what could be happening. If Carlos thought rationally about it, there was no way Gaston needed him for pure strength. If anything, Jay would be more suitable for the job of bruteness.

Carlos was more of a brainy type of guy. His physical state wasn't in the best of shapes. That's probably why most girls didn't even bat an eye towards him. Not that he cared, he wanted the epidemy of sex to look at him and Jay was in no way a girl. He was far from it, and Carlos knew it was wrong and partly disgusting but he couldn't even get these ruthless thoughts out his mind. He had long given up on them, and every single night sleeping next to Jay seemed to get harder and harder.

Anyway, there was no way in a fresh hell that Carlos would ever admit his feelings to Jay because he knew that his friend would never be able to reciprocate them. Jay was a lady's man at heart, and he's banged enough girls to last him a life time. Although they never sated his thirst, it just aged on to the fact that Carlos could never satisfy Jay and that's what tore him apart every single time he thought about it.

And that was the thing, he had plenty of time to think about how much of a screw up he was in this dark, lifeless embodiment he was trapped in. His own thoughts had him wanting to tear his hair out of his head, but he couldn't even do that. He was just an empty shell at this point with never resting, impudent thoughts. Nothing could ever possibly go his way, and who knew how long it would be until he was out of this never-ending hole.

Just great.
