I'm so excited for this chapter. I know i'm going slowly with it, but honestly, things are just getting better and better.
So, here they were. Mal and Evie had made their way to the first year dorms and it brought out the worst in the two girls. They peered around in pure disgust as the small teenagers roamed around with bustling laughter and stupidity streaming off their bodies.
"Ugh, get me out of here," Mal picked up the pace but her companion slowed her down.
"Now now, we have to ask…" Evie flickered her gaze around, "Someone here if they know about this Mariea chick."
Mal stuck one foot out and folded her arms with an uncomfortable expression, "Alright, Alright. I guess we can," She also gazed around trying to find the most reasonable person to ask, "Aha," Her eyes landed on a girl with strawberry blonde hair sitting off in the corner of the dorms at one of the plush seats reading silently.
"Someone of my standards," Mal unfolded her arms starting to walk over with Evie in suit, "Or at least better than the rest of these maggots."
Evie chuckled behind her before catching up and walking next to her. The two girls finally stopped before the first year student with their arms crossed and their eyes glaring down at her. Mal finally cleared her throat catching the young girl's attention quite fast. The year one girl jolted her gaze upwards appearing a bit startled.
She quickly closed the book and spoke, "Uh, hi."
Her black eyes slanted in confusion but Mal could care less, "Hi," A fake smile plastered on Mal's face, "We're looking for Mariea?"
The girls expression darkened, "Oh, her. Room 201. You can't miss it. It's the one that has the Do Not Disturb sign plastered all over it. She can't even have a fucking room mate because she's so freaky."
Mal and Evie shared an awkward glance, "Uh, okay, thanks for the info," Mal searched the girls eyes for something else, but there was nothing else to offer.
With that, Mal swiveled around and started peering at the numbers down the hallway. They kept going up steadily with each passing step, but she honestly never realized how big the first year dorms truly were. Evie walked beside her with the same bewilderment on her face.
"Why can't our dorms be this big," She tossed her blue hair behind her and kept strolling as first years passed them by with their disgusting faces.
"We will definitely have to ask Ben about that," Mal spoke quietly lost in thought. No matter how she looked at it, something way above her non-existent pay grade was going on here, but nonetheless she had to find the two loveless idiots before they got themselves killed or worse, became good.
A hard tug on her shoulder sent her peering behind her with a glare, but she softened it once she realized it was Evie, "Can you not hear?"
Mal furrowed her brows but gazed to her right seeing room 201 with the sign plastered just like the young nerd had mentioned Do Not Disturb. Her face stoned, and she shook her head of all the pointless thoughts pushing through Evie's hold, "Must be all the shit I have to endure from you clogging my ears up," Mal shot Evie a devilish smirk.
Evie rolled her eyes and crossed her arms, but gave a short smile nonetheless, "Whatever, let's just get this over with."
Mal completely agreed with her friend, because this was just getting boring and even more so disturbing being in the presence with all these children. Ew. Moving on though, she knocked on the door and stuck one leg out while giving a stern look for when the door opened. Evie had almost the same posture except her hips stuck out much further and the look of deprecation was plastered far more graciously than Mal could muster.
As if they were waiting on a snail, both of them gave each other another glance of annoyance, but soon it was replaced with astonishment as the door slowly creeped open on its own. Slowly, Mal entered first pushing the door the rest of the way open. She was about to say hello, but she spotted the young girl she had met earlier sitting quietly in a chair next to a desk with her curly blond hair bustling about.
"Why am I not surprised," The young girl spoke up first and Mal bared her teeth.
"Listen, I'm done taking your softcore hints and your unwanted attitude little girl," Mal stepped closer and was surprised when the chair spun around quickly revealing Mariea's face.
Both of the girls gasped at what they had saw. The young blond had a gorgeous face all except for one detail. Her eye was missing, well, more specifically someone had replaced it for a mechanical, and as she blinked, they noticed that only one of the eyes did. The young girl huffed out in annoyance.
"I do not care whether you take my subtle hints graciously or if you take them and shove them straight up your as—" Mariea was cut short by Evie.
"We're not here to get along with you blondie," Evie swung her hair back for dramatic effect, "We're here because we want to know why no matter how many spells Mal casts or why my mirror will not show us where you are or give us any more information on you."
"My name is Mariea," She glanced nonchalantly at both females before her, "And it's quite simple. I'm a witch."
"A wh-" Mal protested but was cut short.
"My mother was a very beautiful witch when my father met her, but soon things went sour between the two. It wasn't until she found out she was pregnant with me that she realized she didn't care about my father at all. She tried to cut me out, no physically but spellfully, selfish bitch, but the process was already too far in for her to rid herself of me. That's why I don't have an eye. It's a birth defect but nonetheless here I am. My father made the eye for me. He's such a mechanical genius. He felt bad all these years about it, but I'm so used to it, it's only natural to me. I'm here to enjoy school with other children and to get a wonderful education or so he believes. I'm a witch after all, I know more than he ever will. I'm here because I know where that bitch of a mother is and fortunately for you guys, I know where she is along with your two dogs you know as friends.," Mariea finished triumphantly.
"Why didn't you tell me earlier," Mal growled in frustration.
"I love letting people guess what's going on, but unfortunately you guys don't like to play games," Mariea sighed doubtfully.
"So," Mal waved her hands for anything that could help her find the two boys, but Mariea only giggled.
"Well, first of all, Hercules is not who you believe him to be. Run along and tell your boyfriend that snip snip is the first key to the puzzle," Mariea had already made her way to the door, "Oh, and don't let this slip your brain, the city is a dangerous place for a couple of untrained dogs."
With that, she shut the door. Mal protested immensely and went to swing the door back open, but all she saw was the door across the hall. She peered down both main halls but saw nothing. She only heard the faint sound of laughter from the stupid girl.
"Damn witches," She thought mainly to herself.
"I'd rather just stick to basic spell casting," Evie yawned prematurely.
"But what the hell does she mean," Mal rethought the words carefully, "Snip Snip? What does that have to do with anything."
"She did say ask your perfect know-it-all boyfriend," Evie put a hand to her hips.
"I don't think she went as far as that," Mal deadpanned, "Thanks for the superb rating though."
Evie only rolled her eyes, "But seriously, she did mention to ask your boyfriend."
"You're right," Mal started to dig out her phone.
"She also said that we could find the two muts in Auradon's city," Evie started pondering over this realization.
Mal looked up with conclusion written on her face, "Sometimes you're not a ditz. This—This is literally what we need, but I don't know why I feel like I'm completely left out of something big."
"I don't know either, quick, call Ben," Evie snapped her fingers while Mal worked on calling Ben.
Things were about to get messy for the only Descendant's left out of the loop. Who is to say if they're prepared for what is to come?
Haha, I love how they're referring them as dogs. Do you think they'll be getting it on like dogs too? eheheheheh
