Never before had he felt something this exhilarating. He almost felt bad for the naïve woman before him. Almost. Allowing a sinister smirk to appear on his face, he all but reveled in the thought that she had no knowledge of the chase that was occurring. Closing his eyes, he imaged her trying to escape from him. Her heart racing, her adrenaline surfacing and her attempt to run. His beast purred at the thought of cornering the female and taking his prize.

"Sesshoumaru-sama?"

Growling in irritation, he opened his eyes in annoyance and could not help the surprise gracing his facial features when sapphire eyes stared at him in curiosity. Tearing himself from the delicious sight before him, he pushed past his secretary. Accidentally bushing against her, he mentally groaned at the feel of her breast against his shoulder.

Would she forever drive him mad?

"Yes, Higurashi?"

He refused to cease his movement. He needed to distance himself from her. More for her sake than his.

"Dinner date?"

The daiyoukai turned his gaze to her abruptly. Dinner date? Was his fiery secretary finally showing interest in him? Raising a brow in question, he couldn't help but respond with a smirk.

"How inappropriate for you to request such a thing, Higurashi." He purred but his expression held nothing but amusement. Blood rushed to the woman's face, and she glared at him.

"With your client from China." She corrected him after taking in a deep breath, praying for patience.

"I need a dinner date for a business meeting? Fine, I will allow you such a privilege." He knew it was much, but he couldn't stop himself. The way her aura spiked when she was angry, and her intoxicating scent—it was far too much to resist. Sure enough, her scent began to be covered in annoyance and frustration. In fact, he was sure he briefly noticed her rolling her eyes at the comment.

"8pm. Be at your office. Understood?"

The ebony haired vixen apparently had many hidden talents. One of them being a smooth talker. In fact, she had all but made the business dinner successful. Another merger complete and he had hardly had to lift a finger. How interesting it was that he had not found this gem sooner.

Yet, what she didn't have was a talent for holding her alcohol.

Even now, the woman appeared to be close to sleep. Observing the sight beside him, he could not help but admire her choice of attire for their evening. Instead of a typical blouse and pencil skirt, she wore a sheath off-the-shoulder lace cocktail dress with sleek black heels. A dress that hugged her figure far too perfectly.

The current destination had been her home. Had. Until the traffic accident prevented him from such a task. Sitting in the all too long pileup, he waited for what seemed like nearly half an hour before changing the direction of the vehicle. Gazing at the exhausted female beside him, he announced his intentions.

"You will use my guest room."

Surprisingly enough, the vixen merely yawned tiredly and nodded her head in approval. Perhaps if she had not been so tipsy, she would have disagreed. But she didn't, and he was far too pleased at her lack of argument. Ensuring a swift arrival to his home, he sped through the roads in the dark of the night. Quickly parking his car, his eyes focused on the sleeping woman that was currently curled up in the passenger side. As if sensing his gaze, her long lashes fluttered open as the hum of the engine all but stopped.

It was not until they entered his home and he led her through the hallways into the living room that he realized just how exhausted the business dinner had left her. Pausing momentarily in the living room, he raised his brow in amusement as the spitfire of a woman threw herself on his couch and let out a groan of pain. Curiosity getting the best of him, the daiyoukai tried to identify the source of her injury. All it took was her chucking her heels away from the couch for him to understand. Her feet. Debating his current options, the Daiyoukai quickly made a decision.

She had done him a favor, and even went above and beyond during the business deal. For that, he would repay her. Not giving the beauty any warning, he knelt down and gently grabbed one dainty foot. Kneading at it, he purposely ignored the shock clearly written on her face. Even still, the expression of surprise was quickly replaced but a groggy feeling of euphoria when he began a full massage on the current foot in his hand. Then, the vixen did something that even he didn't expect. She let out a moan that he was all but sure should have been reserved for the bedroom. Switching feet, he allowed the same treatment to occur. Within minutes, he stood up and towered over the intoxicated beauty.

"Higurashi, do take better care of youself."

Her only response was a slow nod of acceptance and what seemed like her millionth yawn of exhaustion. Beckoning the woman to follow him, they entered a hall across from the living room. Opening the guestroom door, he spoke just one word.

"Sleep."

Without hesitation, the beauty didn't so much as look back at him as she groggily entered the bedroom. The Inu almost chuckled at the scene before him. Was it the alcohol that made her so comfortable in his own home, or was this her normal personality? Reluctantly, he decided he would find the answer to such a question in the morning.

A/N: For those that are curious, I have the original story saved on my computer, and i am following the events, but not super intensely. Besides, like with my other revision (Pen pal from hell), I am altering some stuff to make the story flow better! :)
