Chapter Forty- Nine

When Dustin saw Marah collapsed, He literally rushed over and caught her in his arms. He notices that she was dressed in the black cloak. Suddenly an image flashes in his mind.

Just as the huge energy beam was about hit Dustin and Shane, the black cloak person got in front of them and blocked the attack.

"Go!" she shouted.

The black cloak figure person managed to reflect half of the attack back at the monster while taking the hit from the other half in the chest. The monster and the black cloak figure person landed on the ground in pain.

In that moment, Dustin knew that he know the black cloak somehow. He just can't seem figure out who it was. Now with Marah in her arms and that she was dressed in the black cloak, he was able to put the pieces together. It was actually Marah dressed as the black cloak figure saving them.

He looked down at Marah and realizes that she was really Marah. "How was she alive?" was the question in his mind. Seeing her hurt, he decides to push that question to aside and get her help. He quickly lifts her up in his arms and begins to carry her away.

Without hesitation, he ninja streaks to Ninja ops where Cam can help her.

In the alternate universe

"What!" Blake exclaimed. "You're kidding, right?" he asked, after he heard what Dustin said.

Dustin shook his head. "Nope".

"Why did you guys do that?" Hunter asked, can't believe that he found out that his friends killed him and Blake alternate self.

"Because you two betray us for them," Dustin replied, eyeing Kapri who is now standing next to Hunter.

"But that doesn't mean you should destroy us!" Blake shouted, sounding upset by the news.

"We gave you an option, but you chose them instead," Dustin points out and looked over at Hunter. "Especially you Hunter, we thought that you would be on our side, but apparently someone changes your mind and you and Blake decide to turn your back on us".

Hunter turned to Kapri and wonder if she was responsible for his alternate self and Blake to become good again.

"Maybe we realize the truth about Lothor," Blake assumed.

"Please," Dustin scoffed. "You are wrong about Lothor. He helps us see the truth".

"What truth?" Hunter asked.

"That the people are responsible for Sensei death".

"What! That's insane!" Hunter shouted. "You guy are idiots to believe the crap Lothor said".

"We are not idiot, you are!" Dustin spats and get smack across the face by Janessa, who was now angry.

Hunter and Blake along with Dustin were shock by Janessa action.

"Lothor is the bad guy. He's only trying to manipulating you and the others. Why don't you wake up and start using you head!" She retorted angry.

Janessa realizes what she just said and immediately stops. Hunter and Blake were shock to hear what Janessa said about Lothor.

Does this mean that Janessa is deciding to turn good?" Hunter wondered to himself.

"You're lying," Dustin spats, not believing it.

"It's true," Marah spokes up all of sudden and everyone turn to her.

"What do you mean?" Hunter questions as she walked over to them. "Do you and Kapri know something that we don't know about it?"

"Lothor is only using them and that people aren't responsible for Sensei death".

"Then who is?" Dustin asked; as he was starting to believe that they were telling the truth. He doesn't understand why, but something inside of him was telling him that he should trust them.

"Lothor," Kapri answered.

"What!" Impossible!" Dustin shook his head, refusing to believe it.

"It's true, we saw Lothor murder Sensei with our own eyes. He tried to kill us to stop us from telling what he did, but we escaped". Marah stated.

"Why didn't you two say anything?" Blake asked.

"Don't you think we tried, every time we tried to get closer to them, we get hurt," Marah and Kapri lift up their shirts up revealing a big bandage around their stomach. "We were scared and running for our life".

Hunter pulled Kapri into a hug, "I'm sorry," he muttered, feeling bad for her and Marah,

"That why you two turn your back on Lothor," Dustin finally understands. "You knew the truth and were trying to tell us". He said, starting to feel guilty for what he did.

Hunter and Blake notices Dustin expression was changing to the person they knew was Dustin.

"What have we done," he muttered and closes his eyes.

"It's not too late to start over again," Hunter said.

Dustin looked up. "How would you know?"

"Because we were once bad and we got help to see that Lothor is bad," Blake points out. "Beside, BlueBayHarbor is not destroyed yet. You can still be the hero that the peoples need".

"What do you say, will join our side and help us convince the others?" Hunter asked.

Dustin thought about for a moment and then looked up at Hunter and Blake. "I'll help," He agreed. "I would shake your hands, but I'm a little tied up," he joked.

Blake and Hunter looked at each other and knew that they have Dustin back with them. Blake went over to untied Dustin.

"Wait!" Kelly stopped him from untying Dustin. She was walking out from the back. "I don't think it's a good idea to untie him".

"It's okay, he's on our side now," Blake assured.

"I doubt it," said Kelly, who doesn't trust Dustin. "He could be lying to you".

"Kelly..." Hunter begins to say, but Dustin cut him off.

"It's okay, don't untie me. It better this way".

"What! Are you nuts?"

"Look, I need to prove that I'm good and that I really want to help you guys," Dustin explained.

"By keeping your self tied to a chair?" Blake asked, folding his arms.

"I have a plan".

"What is it?" Hunter asked.

"Shane, Tori, and Cam won't attack if they know you have me as a hostage".

"That would give us time to talk to them," Hunter smiles when he finally figures out what Dustin's plan was.

Dustin nodded.

"Good plan," Blake remarked. "Let's hope it works".

In the real world at Ninja Ops

Dustin and others has already left. Kapri was standing alone, folding her arms, staring at the exit. She really wanted to go check on Marah especially after what happen earlier. Marah had risk her life to protect to her and others. Right now, she wants to know if Marah was safe or not. Not only she was worrying for Marah, but she was also worried for Hunter and Blake as well.

A hand touches her shoulder, startling her. She turned to see Cam beside her with a concern look.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to scared you," he apologized. "I want to see if you're okay".

Kapri looked away. "No I'm not okay, especially when I don't know Blake and Hunter whereabouts and also..."

"If Marah is alright, am I right?"

Kapri eyes widen as she looked at Cam. "How did you know?" she questioned.

"That's what I like to know," Dustin's voice spoke up all of sudden. Cam and Kapri turned toward the exit and saw Dustin walking in, carrying Marah in his arm. His expression wasn't happy at all.

"Marah," Kapri muttered as she and Cam rush over to Dustin.

"Put her down here," Cam instructed and Dustin gently lay Marah down on a cot that Skyla brought out from the back.

Dustin turned to Kapri. "I want some answers," he insisted.

"Dustin I..." Kapri begins to speak, but Dustin cut her off.

"You knew she was alive and didn't tell me," he throws his hands up in frustrated and slightly chuckles. "I can't believe this. Now that I think about it. Hunter also knew too, that's why he didn't let me attack her when I thought she was the imposter Marah".

"Dustin calm down," Cam says.

"No! I'm not calming down until I get some answer," he retorted angry.

"Dustin, I promise I will explain everything to you, but right now we need to rescue Hunter, Blake, and Janessa," Kapri told him, hoping that he would calm down.

"Janessa? What about Janessa?" Dustin looked back and forth at Cam and Kapri. "What else are you two not telling me?"

Cam put his hands up. "I don't know anything about Janessa".

Kapri sighs. "Janessa..." Dustin folds his arms and listens to what Kapri has to say. "She's the black mask figure".

"What!" He shook his head. "No way, that can't be".

"It's true".

Dustin tumbles back against the wall in shock. "I don't believe this," He looked down. "So, she really wasn't my friend. She was just getting close to me to destroy my friends and me".

"I wouldn't say that," He looked up at Kapri who was walking up to him.

"What do you mean?" he questioned.

"If she really did use you, she would have destroyed you and the others by now, but she didn't," Kapri points out.

"Are you saying that Janessa has a good side?"

Kapri nodded. "You are the one that brought it out of her. Not just you, but I'm thinking Hunter probably did too. I don't know how to explain this, but I have a feeling that Janessa past involved Hunter and Blake".

"We will worry about that later after we save Hunter, Janessa, and Blake," Sensei spokes. "Because the longer we wait, the danger they will be in".

"I agree," Cam walked over to Dustin. "I already told the others about the plan after you left. So I'm going to fill you in on what you missed out on".

Dustin nods and listen to Cam go over the plan while Kapri, Cyber Cam, and Skyla went over to Marah and tend her wound.

Alternate Universe

Shane, Tori, and Cam were at the waterfall. They were looking around.

"Where are they?" Tori questioned.

"They should be here somewhere," Cam answered.

"Well, they're not," Shane says in annoyance. "Let's look somewhere else," he suggests.

Tori and Cam agree and then left with Shane.

Blake was standing at the exit watching while Hunter was talking to Janessa, who was sitting down on the floor, leaning her back against the wall.

"Thank you for helping us". Hunter spokes. "I don't know why, but I have this feeling that I should trust you".

"Don't be so sure". Janessa says, "Beside, this is only temporary with me working with you and Blake".

Hunter knew Janessa was lying, but decides not to say anything. "Where did you learn that thunder electricity?"

"Honestly, I don't know or remember".

"Do you want to remember?" Hunter asked all of sudden, causing Janessa to look at him in shock.

"I don't know," Janessa turned away from him. "Part of me wants to while the other part of me doesn't," She told him.

While Hunter was talking to Janessa, Marah was glancing around, thinking to herself when her eyes landed on Dustin, who was dozing off in the chair. He was still tied to the chair

She was about go over and put a blanket on him when a loud explosion sounded from the outside. Blake turns his head toward the exit as Hunter got up along with Janessa. Dustin woke up and looked at the exit just in time to see two blur figures ninja streaks in.

"Stay back,' Hunter told Kelly, Marah, and Kapri.

Two blur figures reveal themselves to be Shane and Tori.

"So, this is where you guys have been hiding," Shane coldly said. "Not bad".

Hunter and Blake got into their fighting stances.

In the real world

The next day at ninja ops, Tori and Shane shows up and was surprise Dustin already there. What was more surprising is that Dustin was with Marah who was still unconscious.

They were about to question what was going when the main frame computer beep.

Cam turned to see the monster appears on the screen. He turned back to the others.

"Are you guys ready for this?"

Tori, Dustin, and Shane nodded.

"Let's do this," Shane replied.

"And save Hunter and Blake," Tori added.

"Good luck," Sensei says.

All four of them immediately morph and ninja streak out of ninja ops to fight the monster.
