Chapter Fifty Eight: Gem Of A Day Part 1

Hunter pulled up on his motor bike and removed his helmet. Placing the helmet on the handle of his bike, he got off and walked over to the boulder rock, sitting down on it.

It has been a two weeks since Janessa left and no one has heard from her. He was wondering how she was and was also thinking about his parents that raise him and Blake.

He remembered him and Blake training together, Thunder Academy was under attack by Lothor, who capture the Thunder students, Lothor attacked the wind ninja rangers, him and Blake, but got blasted by the gem of soul and then seeing the spirit of him and Blake's parents. Since then he didn't see them again. Sometime, he wishes that he could see them one last time.

Cam and Kapri were wondering around the rock canopy wearing goggles, scanning the area with a device that Cam was holding in his hands.

Removing the goggles with Kapri, Cam held his communicator up to his lips and spokes. "Dad, we're getting closer to the radiation source".

"Good work," Sensei said to Cam and Kapri. "Until we are certain of the cause of the disturbance, you two must be very careful".

"We will, Sensei," Kapri assured.

Cam rolled his eyes slightly as he cut the connection and continue searching.

"He was only trying to keep you safe from danger," Kapri told Cam.

"I know, but it's just starting to get a little old," Cam shrugged a bit as he put his goggle back on, but notices something was wrong with Kapri, who was pinching the bridge of her nose.

"Are you alright?" He asked in concern and touched her shoulder.

"I'm fine, just a little tired," Kapri put her goggle back on and ignored the dizzy she was starting to feel. "Let's continue searching," She suggested.

"Okay," Cam continued to scan the area for the disturbance, but kept an eye on Kapri when suddenly Kapri pointed at something. "Hey Cuz, isn't that Hunter's bike?"

Cam looked over at Hunter's bike and saw Hunter kneeled down at rock searching for something. "Hunter? What's he doing out here?"

"Let's find out," Kapri suggested and Cam nodded.

They approached up to Hunter, who was occupied that he didn't notice them.

"Lose something?" Cam touched Hunter's shoulder and found himself being flipped over and landed on the ground on his back.

"Relax, it just us," Kapri told Hunter who swiftly got into his fighting stance and faced her.

Recognizing her voice and saw her removing her goggle, Hunter lowered his guard down.

"Kapri? Cam?" He surprisingly said.

"A little advice," Cam groaned and took off his goggles and looked up at Hunter. "Lay off the caffeine."

"Oh, sorry," Hunter apologized as he and Kapri helped Cam up.

"So, what are you doing out here anyways?" Kapri asked him.

Hunter grabbed his helmet of from the handle of his bike and looked back at Cam and Kapri. "I could ask you guys the same thing".

"And we would tell you that we're tracking an excessive radiation signal we picked up on the monitors," Cam stated as he and Kapri walked up to Hunter.

"Uh, we maybe it has something to do with this," Hunter picked up a broken sword handle that was stuck on the side of his bike and show it to Cam and Kapri. "I found it out here. It's Zurgane's sword". He assumed as Cam grabbed the handle of the sword and stared at it. "But he wouldn't leave the ship without it".

"Well not alive anyway," Cam stated.

While Cam was looking at handle of the sword, Kapri was feeling dizzy again and has a feeling that the sword handle wasn't the excessive radiation signal that the monitor was picking up. It was something else. The question is what is it and why it making her felt dizzy and weak?

"We should head back to Ninja Ops and inform the others," Cam suggested before he, Kapri and Hunter left the scene.

"Who told you you destroy my number one general?" Luthor scolded at Vexacus while the others stand behind and watch.

Vexacus turned and looked at Lothor and explained. "Forgive me but I thought you would be pleased. A mighty warrior such as you deserves a mighty general and beside, Zurgane has done nothing but failed you. Not mention that Janessa has betrayed you due to Vexcaus flaw in his control over her".

Lothor thought what Vexacus and walked forward thinking with his hand under his chin. "I supposed that's true and I did say that it was his last chance,"

"So in the end I did you a favor," Vexcaus pointed out.

Lothor turned back around and looked Vexacus, who turned away. "But still, in the future, you will not destroy my men without my direct order," He stated.

Vecaus turned around and looked at Lothor. "As you wish my master," He agreed.

"Since by default, you are number one general. I expect a plan in front of me by the end of the night on exactly how to destroy the power…," Lothor started to say when Vexacus pulled out a scroll and opened it. He turned around and stared at the scroll. "What is that?"

"A plan on how to destroy the power rangers," Vexacus answered. "Condortron"

"Well, what are you waiting for?" Lothor looked at Vexacus "Get down there".

Vexacus rolled up the scroll and looked over at Lothor "With all due respect sir, I'm missing one piece of the puzzle. I will fetch it at one and then victory".

Clearly pleased, Lothor responds "Now you're talking". "He smiled and nodded. "Go, but make sure I know exactly when the attack is to occur. I want to see it happen".

"As you wish," Vexacus nodded and left with Motodrone growling and glaring at him.

"Motodrone," Lothor called.

"Sir," Motodrone walked over to him.

Not entirely trusting Vexacus, Lothor gave order to Motodrone. "Follow him. I don't trust him." He glances at Motodrone and then ahead. "I want to know his every move".

"Yes sir," Motodrone obliged and left.

"Go, see you later alligator. Bye bye," Shimazu muttered.

"And don't get caught. I'm running out of general I can trust" Lothor added and then turned around, growling at Shimazu.

"What?" Shizamu held his hand up confused by Lothor's reaction and wonder what he did wrong.

Cam and Hunter showed them the broken piece of Zurgane's sword to Shane, Tori, Blake, Skyla, and Sensei and explained how they came across it.

"After we found the sword I located the satellite picture of the area" Cam concluded, pulling up a video of Zurgane being blown to pieces by Vexacus.

"Its true rangers," Sensei said to them from the table top "Vexacus has destroyed Zurgane"

"Not that I gonna miss Zurgane but why would Vexacus do that?" Tori wondered aloud

"It appears that there is a power struggle play in Lothor's Lair," Sensei answered.

"Isn't that a good thing though?" Shane commented "Maybe they'll just keep fighting each other until no one's left"

"Or they'll keep fighting each other until the strongest survives" Kapri mentioned

"Either is possible rangers," Sensei said "or Lothor may have a more sinister plot in mind"

"So what do we do next?" Shane asked

"The time has come to face the enemy proactively. We must reinforce out ranks by rescuing all the capture ninjas. We must find a way to get onto Lothor's ship," Sensei suggested.

"Well that ain't gonna be easy" Blake sighed looking at his brother and Shane. "Trust us".

The two sighed in agreement

"Lothor's ship is protected by a powerful energy field" Marah warned "Without a way to break through, we'll never get in"

"Leave that to me" Hunter said before dashing out the room.

Blake and Kapri stared after him, both with suspicion in their eyes before glancing at each other with worry.

"Where's Dustin and Marah," Cam suddenly asked when he noticed they were missing from the group.

"Dustin and Marah are helping Kelly at the Storm Charges. They said they would be…," Tori started to say when she got interrupted by footstep running in.

Everyone looked at the entrance door and saw Dustin came running in, carrying Marah in his arms.

"What's happen?" Cam rushed over and helped Dustin placed Marah on the table bed to take a look at her. Kapri walked over to Marah side and held her hand.

"I don't know," Dustin explained breathing heavy and was concern. "She was in the back helping Kelly when she collapsed. I heard Kelly yelled and ran in to see her unconscious in Kelly's arm so I brought her back here".

Cam ran a scan on Marah's body to see what wrong with her. He stared at the result and frown.

"Cam, what is it?" Kapri asked.

"Is Marah alright?" Tori also asked.

"She's stable for now, but her pulse is weak," Cam explained. "It like her energy was being drained out of her body which cause her to collapse. Now she has to rest to replenish her energy back".

"Do you know the source that is draining Marah's energy?" Dustin asked.

Cam shook her head. "No, but I'm planning to find out".

Hunter arrived back at the boulder to retrieve a small brown pouch when Vexacus appeared, folding his arms. He immediately got up and got into his fighting stance.

"So, my readings are correct". Vexcaus snickered and bird monster appeared by his side. "Meet Condortron. A genius creation if I say so myself".

"What are you doing here?" Hunter demanded to know.

Vexacus pointed at the small brown pouch in Hunter's hand. "I suspect the same thing you are," He blasted the energy beam at Hunter, who dodged out of the way.

"I got more important things to think about right now," Hunter said before he shouted. "Thunderstorm ranger form!" He morphed into the Crimson Thunder Ranger.

"Attack him!" Vexacus shouted.

Condortron lunged forward and fight Hunter who fought back.

The computer was beeping, alerting Cam who was at computer when the screen pulled up showing Hunter battling Condortron.

"Huh?" He stared at the screen. "We got trouble".

"It Hunter," Tori appeared by Cam side, watching the screen as the others walked over.

Shane sighs as he watched the screen. "And my favorite fish" He sarcastically said.

"I thought you like sushi?" Dustin didn't know that Shane was being sarcastic.

"Not him again," Skyla muttered. She was not happy to see Vexacus showing up. Shane wrapped his arms around her to comfort her.

"Forget the fish jokes," Blake added and crossed his arms watching the screen.. "Check out the big bird".

Cam narrowed his eyes a bit as he watched the fight, "This weird. The radiation I was tracking earlier is back".

Kapri, who was watching the screen, muttered. "I knew it". The dizzy came back and she found herself holding onto the chair that Cam was in to steady herself.

Skyla who noticed it, asked, "Kapri, are you alright?"

"Yeah, I'm," She started to answer, but stopped when she lost her balance and would have fell backward and hit the floor if Blake didn't caught her in time. Lucky, he did and helped her sat down in the chair that was Cam has offered to her. He quickly did a scan and realized she has the same condition as Marah, but was able to stay conscious and not collapse. He told everyone about it to see if they can help Marah and Kapri condition.

"We better get out there," Tori suggested and the rangers nodded, getting in line, preparing to morph.

"Stay here and don't go anywhere," Cam told her which she agreed. He glances over and saw Dustin was holding Marah's hand whispering that he will find a way to help before kissing her on the forehead. Then he joined the others.

Shane turned and looked at Skyla, who placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Be careful," She told him

Shane nodded and left to join the others in line.

"Ready?"

"Ready!"

"Ninja Storm Ranger Form!"

"Thunder Storm Ranger Form!"

"Samurai Storm Ranger Form!"

"HA!"

The rangers' teleported out of Ninja Ops and Skyla turned to look at Kapri and Sensei, who were watching the computer screen.

"Skyla, Is there something wrong?" Sensei asked, noticing her gaze on him and Kapri.

Skyla walked up to him and Kapri. "Sensei, I have something that can help Marah and Kapri". She stated.
