Jason9000: Okay guys now we're finally on the chapter that is the reason I stopped writing this fic. I have a rough outline of everything else in my head. But, this chapter has been causing me problems for the past three years now. I just hope that I did this fight justice as it was difficult to do. Please enjoy the chapter.*
Frieza flew after Vegeta. He was not going to give him any time to recover for as long as possible. He knew it was best to damage the monkey quickly before he got the chance to power up. From his experience in the past. The Saiyan race only needed a few precious seconds to unlock their power. However, even the smallest bit of damage could mean the difference between victory or defeat. He was certain had he not taken so much damage from the massive energy attack that Goku flung at him back on Planet Namek he would have won even when the monkey had become a Super Saiyan.
Frieza flew parallel to Vegeta's body and kept punching each corner he could find. His hatred of the Saiyan Prince was only rivaled by his hatred of Goku. Vegeta had been an annoying brat growing up. While he grew to be among Frieza's elites baring his two commanders and the Ginyu Force themselves, the stupid Prince walked around as if he were the strongest in the Universe. He even kept bragging about how the Saiyans were the most elite warrior race to grace the Universe. The very notion that a bunch of brainless monkeys were the strongest was absurd! Only the smallest percentage of his race barely made it to the Saiyan Nappa's level! He only kept the two as Vegeta was an uncommon prodigy for his race and Nappa was his bodyguard. Raditz was just lucky he was on a different assignment. Frieza didn't even know he survived till he came back from the planet he was sent to clear out to receive further orders and maybe see his family in between missions.
Vegeta finally let out a yell and powered up just enough to to catch one of Frieza's punches. He caught Frieza's fist in his hand and then quickly pushed him back. He began launching a barrage of Ki attacks to make Frieza back off. Frieza quickly threw his hands up to protect his face to block most of the attack. Frieza knew this was not even scratching the surface of Vegeta's power. This was just a desperate attack to make him back off. Frieza smiled as he knew that despite Vegeta's claim there was no way he could beat him without transforming into a Super Saiyan, even before his power was released.
Suddenly the Saiyan Prince yelled again as his aura exploded into golden flames. His hair color changed into blond and his eyes turned into a more of teal color. To Frieza's surprise his hair became even spikier than it already was. Which he previously thought was impossible.
"Ah, there he is. The golden hair I despise so much, and those detestable teal colored eyes. Well looks like you've finally accomplished your goal. You're the Super Saiyan you kept babbling on about back on Planet Namek. Only took you four years longer than Goku," Frieza quipped to him.
Vegeta was silent for a moment. He floated before Frieza staring icily at him. "I know you're just trying to wind me up so I make mistakes. It's not going to work out so well for you. It's been a long time since Planet Namek. I'm not the same lackey you treated like garbage for years. I'm threw your hold off of me years ago."
"I'm sure that's what you tell yourself every night before you go to sleep. But, you and I both know that no matter where you run or where you hide. You will never escape me Vegeta," Frieza told him.
Vegeta cracked his neck and smacked his fists together. "Enough talk Frieza, let's finish this now. I'm going to enjoy this fight."
Frieza smiled as he raised his fists. "Finally something we can actually agree on."
The galactic overlord charged at Vegeta bringing his fist behind him to initiate his attack. Vegeta had just enough time to raise his left forearm to block the attack. He felt his body tremble from Frieza's attack. He brought his left leg up to kick Frieza, but the space tyrant only raised his right leg up to block the attack. The kick sent a small shock wave around themselves and created a powerful gust of wind the shock the air around them.
Back and forth they went testing each other. Initiating an attack only to find it blocked by one another. Each looking for a weakness in each other's form, but finding none. They traveled all over the place zipping in and out of sight. Finally Frieza had enough and and charged a Death Beam aiming it straight at Vegeta's left shoulder blade.
Only for the attack to pass through an after image. The Saiyan Prince had gotten behind the space tyrant and elbowed him in the back of the head. He then put Frieza in a full nelson and started flying as fast as he could to the ground.
Frieza tried moving his arms to perhaps elbow Vegeta but it was useless. Vegeta had him locked in and was trying to ram him into the ground. Frieza aimed his palm toward the incoming ground and formed a small purple sphere.
Vegeta hadn't been paying attention to Frieza's movements. Only wanting to have him taste dirt. Just when they were about to hit the ground he felt something slam into the side of his head causing him to loosen his grip on Frieza.
Frieza quickly flew out of Vegeta's grasp just seconds before he was slammed into the ground. Vegeta was just able to stop himself from slamming into the ground. He hovered mere inches above the ground mentally slapping his forehead by making such a costly mistake.
Behind him he heard clapping. Frieza hovered above him smiling down at him.
"Once again Vegeta you impress me. You've learned a few tricks since we last met. I'm not surprised. When you monkeys banded together you had a habit of putting your flea bitten brains together to come up with a few good parlor tricks," he said coming down to Vegeta's level.
Vegeta raised an eyebrow. "What is it with you and talking? I thought we agreed with no talking till this was over. Sorry to burst your bubble, but not everyone likes to hear your voice. Especially when it changes between a chain smoker or a petulant man child when you start screaming."
Frieza dropped his smile and he sneered at him. "Coming from the one that sounds like a raspy wannabe gang member or a middle aged person having a stroke every three seconds. Pot meets kettle I would say Vegeta."
Vegeta raised his palm out and fired an energy beam at Frieza. Frieza merely back handed the attack away. Vegeta fired one after the other but the space tyrant kept sending them away with just his fist.
'Interesting...he is barely using any strength and yet he's merely slapping my attacks away. What else is he hiding?' Vegeta thought to himself.
Frieza vanished from Vegeta's sight; however the Saiyan Prince felt him come up behind him. He threw himself to the ground to avoid the incoming punch. Vegeta quickly kicked his legs up from the ground and hit Frieza in the stomach sending him back up into the sky. Instead of letting him fly off Vegeta quickly grabbed onto his tail and pulled down hard, slamming his opponent onto the ground. Vegeta began smashing Frieza on the ground around him. Making small chips on the ground. Six times Frieza's head smashed into the ground with each impact making Vegeta smile. Finally he began spinning Frieza around him as fast as he could. Finally he let go of him sending him into a plateau nearby. He raised on hand with his palm out with a giant blue. translucent orb forming by his palm.
"BIG BANG ATTACK!" Vegeta shouted before launching it at Frieza's flying body. It impacted with the tyrant who had just bounced off the plateau in a painful manner and was lost in the massive explosion.
The plateau exploded around him, causing Vegeta to smile at his work. He knew that didn't finish off Frieza. But, it felt cathartic all the same. He kept an eye on Frieza's energy while feeling how his sons were doing.
Trunks and Cooler were duking it out and seemed to be flying at a rapid pace. He could feel them bouncing off each other in an effort to push one into a better attack position. Mirai and Cold seemed to be pushing their energy at each other. Now that he took a quick second to focus on his offspring. He noticed that Mirai was having trouble with Cold. He could feel his power and Vegeta wasn't sure if his son could beat him on his own without backup.
Suddenly the sky behind him lit up and he saw a flash in the sky above him. He quickly turned to look to see if Frieza was behind him, but only saw the remnants of an explosion right where a nearby planet used to be...
Vegeta's eyes widened. "Oh shit, did some fool blow up the nearest planet?! What kind of idiot blows up planets in a binary star system when they're so close to each other?" he questioned out loud.
Suddenly Frieza appeared before the Saiyan Prince and punched him in the stomach. Vegeta hunched himself over from the pain of the blow and stumbled forward a few steps.
"Hm...it appears father blew up the nearest planet. Looks like we'll have to search for a new planet that will have the finest oysters in the North galaxy and a new planet for training grounds. Since this one is probably on its way out. The gravitational pull of this solar system is going change rapidly. I wouldn't be surprised if debris from that planet eventually finds it way here. Looks like I'll just have to speed up the proceedings then," Frieza said annoyingly.
Vegeta had turned around to face Frieza. He had a few scuff marks on his shoulders, but looked just fine. The Saiyan Prince had to stop himself from throwing up as the blow caused his insides to curl on itself. He grunted in pain as he slowly steadied himself up.
"Honestly Vegeta I get that you might hold some resentment when I knocked you into a plateau when you tried to flee Planet Namek, but at least try to come up with something original in your attacks."
Vegeta ignored him and charged at Frieza. A golden Ki ball forming in his hand. He fired it, but Frieza merely moved his head out of the way and jumped into the air. Vegeta took off after him. Frieza began charging a Death Beam at Vegeta intent on firing it point blank. There was no way he could doge this attack in time.
Frieza was then thrown forward as a burning ball slammed into the back of his head. The attack caused him to fall forward as he was met with a well aimed side kick to his face. Frieza fell backward with both sides of his head in pain. He was disorientated from the attacks and Vegeta was going to take advantage.
He began pummeling Frieza with a serious of punches. Each one getting stronger than the last as he poured more power into his Super Saiyan punches. His adrenaline was picking up with each punch. However, Gohan's words briefly entered his head from earlier about losing his cool and becoming blind in his rage. He had to be careful or he would fall prey to his old ways of focusing only on beating his opponent. What with the nearby planet being blown up he had to be watchful of his surroundings.
Finally Vegeta grabbed Frieza by the throat and began to squeeze. Deep down he relished in this, throttling Frieza had been a dream of his for as long as he could remember. Even to this day he had the occasional dream of doing this.
"This is for my planet you sick freak! This time I'll make sure you're not only dead, but that you'll never be able to team up with anyone to try and crawl out of Hell again!" Vegeta roared at him.
The space tyrant began gagging for air and kicked around. He put his hands on Vegeta's arms and attempted to beat against him. A small grin lit up Vegeta's face as he was able to feel Frieza's feeble attempts at breaking his hold weakening. Soon he would join his sons and be rid of this ghost once and for all.
Frieza suddenly grinned as he aimed his fingers in a gun shape at Vegeta's head and the Saiyan Prince saw the familiar purple glow at the tip of his forefinger. Vegeta let go of Frieza and dropped to the ground as fast as he could to the ground. Frieza's Death Beam shot out into the sky lighting the sky with it's sickening purple glow just missing Vegeta's head by inches.
Vegeta looked up and saw Frieza lifting his head and rubbing his throat. The ex-overlord smiled down at his old slave. "I'm sure that was quite cathartic for you Vegeta. I'm sure you've dreamed of throttling me ever since I blew up your planet," Frieza said smiling.
Before Vegeta could form a response Frieza appeared in front of him and backhanded him across the face, followed up with a reverse elbow strike to Vegeta's chest. Frieza went for a leg sweep, but Vegeta recovered just enough to hop over Frieza's legs. Frieza was getting faster with each hit and Vegeta could barely follow his movements anymore. The first level wasn't going to cut it. He needed to use more of his power.
Vegeta then yelled pushing his power out forcing Frieza back. Frieza firmly planted his feet on the ground to stop himself from being pushed away. He saw Vegeta's hair become spikier yet again. His eyebrows cut more down over his eyes and Frieza saw that his aura now had sparks coming out of it. He noticed that his aura was similar to Cell when he powered up and figured that Vegeta had found the level Cell and Bojack kept talking about when they faced Gohan.
"Round 2 you bastard," Vegeta spat out charging forward with blue energy spheres in his hand. He brought his hands out and clapped them together at the side of Frieza's head lighting up the area in a bright light.
Vegeta stared down at Frieza who had raised his arms up to block the attack. Frieza's arms had burns from blocking the attack and Vegeta could feel the heat from his attack starting to burn his own hands as well.
For a long while they stood there staring at each other. Vegeta then took two slow steps back and let his attack dissipate from his hands while Frieza slowly lowered his arms to stare down at his forearms.
Vegeta inwardly grimaced. Frieza had barely powered up since the fight had begun. He knew that the Elder Kai's unlock ability was extremely powerful. He had seen where it had taken Gohan. The boy went from just able to become a Super Saiyan 2 to beating the tar out of Buu when his evil side took over. Even with the year he spent training with his family and Buu in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber this was going to more difficult that he thought.
Trunks chased after Cooler's body. He aimed a round house kick to his face and knocked him in the opposite direction. He raised his arms behind gathering purple energy in his hands. "Galick Gun!" he cried out.
The attack hit Cooler and he fell like a rock to the ground before him. Trunks looked down at Cooler's body. The fight had just begun not a minute ago and with the Supreme Kais talking about how strong they had gotten thanks to some power up technique the older one did. He expected it to be a lot more...painful than this.
He waited and Cooler was not moving. In fact his power had dropped completely and Trunks thought that Cooler was dead.
"Really? Is that it? I thought you guys were supposed to be impossibly strong now? I guess we were worried over nothing," Trunks said descending close to Cooler's body. He walked up to him and inspected him. His eyes were closed and he wasn't breathing. His Ki energy was flickering out until finally it vanished.
Trunks blinked down at his opponent's body in confusion. "Huh, I guess that's it then. A little anti-climatic, but I won't argue the results," he said turning around reaching out his senses to figure out which of his family will need the most help. "Looks like dad is struggling a bit with Frieza, but I think Mirai needs help with Cold. I can feel his power and from what this dead lump and Frieza is showcasing. It's far beyond the two of them. Although I guess since he is their father and older these two haven't caught up with him yet," Trunks said powering up to take off to help his brother.
He heard a loud roar behind him and he felt a large foot crash into his spine. He saw the planet's sky run rush past him. Trunks was so focused on the pain in his back he barely noticed Cooler appearing in front of him. The alien grabbed him by his throat and slammed his body on the ground holding him to the dirt.
"If you actually thought that finished me, you're more naive that I thought boy, it's going to take more than two hits and a quick energy blast to finish me off!" Cooler said before kicking Trunks away.
Trunks body scraped the planet's surface leaving a trail before coming to a stop. Trunks blinked trying to get his bearings and Cooler appeared above him. A purple fist came down at his head. Trunks put both his hands up to catch his fist to stop the blow.
Trunks brought his knee to Cooler's stomach and headbutted the massive alien in the head. Cooler stumbled backwards clutching his head. One thing he hated about fighting was headbutting. His younger brother had a bad habit of doing that when they were younger. He still would get a small headache when he thought about his past sparing sessions with him.
Trunks powered up and flew into Cooler's legs knocking him over. He flew further away from his opponent and hovered above the ground contemplating what to do next for a minute till an idea popped up in head to use an old move of his from when he was a child. He gathered two energy spheres in his hands slowly increasing its power. He watched Cooler jump up from the dirt as he brought his hands together, but kept his index fingers pointed in the shape of a gun before firing it at the purple alien. "Big Tree Cannon!" Trunks cried.
Cooler turned and saw the golden energy beam coming straight for him. He flew straight to it and at the last second he flew above Trunks. He then fell like a rock with his feet outstretched toward the ground, intending to stomp on him as he fell.
Trunks eyes widened and he jumped backwards waving his arms in front of him for a brief moment gathering energy "Burning Attack!" he shouted. Cooler had no time to dodge and the attack slammed into the side of his body carrying him for hundreds of feet before it detonated around him.
Trunks gave him no time to recover as he charged at him flying through the smoke of his own attack. While he couldn't see Cooler, he could sense him at the epicenter of the blast point. He brought his left fist back and connected a solid hit to Cooler's protective mask, hearing a crack which made him smile. He followed up with a stronger attack with his other hand this time connecting with his stomach. Finally finishing up with a leg sweep and then a powerful side kick to Cooler's head knocking him to the floor.
The smoke finally dissipated and Cooler was once again knocked down on the ground. Trunks wasn't going to be taken off guard again and kicked Cooler's body over so he was lying on his back.
"You know this is really sad. Goku told me that you gave him a harder time than Frieza did before he transformed into a Super Saiyan and that was after he did some training on Planet Yardrat and met my older brother. For all your talk about how big you are you're not very powerful for your family are you? I mean this was a very quick fight and you're already on your back for the second time in the span of a couple of minutes. I guess the only reason you were kept around was for your calculating and business like nature. You tried striking a deal with me to save yourself. Which I guess shows you know your way to tempt people. But, honestly compared to your brother Frieza I don't think you're as strong as he is," the boy told him.
Trunks suddenly started to gag as he felt his breath lave his body. He looked down and saw Cooler's tail wrapped around his throat squeezing as hard as he could. Cooler slowly stood up and held him above the ground.
"Listen to me you monkey shit and listen well!" Cooler slowly said before punching him in the stomach. "Do you have any idea how many times I've heard this?!" he cried punching him again in the stomach while easing up his grip with his tail to better punch the young warrior. "What it's like to constantly be compared to your sibling even though he's nothing more than a combat brute?" he asked punching him again.
Trunks spat out blood and clawed at the tail by his throat trying to get more oxygen in his body. It was becoming weaker by the second and more difficult to focus on coming up with a form of attack.
"How for years I had to hear the same thing from my father? 'Oh Cooler, why aren't you as powerful as your brother?' or even the veiled threat of being killed if I didn't find a way to keep up with him? Frieza may have been born a prodigy for fighting. But, he was always so STUPID in everything else. Despite my conquests of the galaxy and showing I was much more efficient in running the Planet Trade Organization! Father was going to choose Frieza whom would run our family's business to the ground within a few decades since how trigger happy he is with blowing things up and killing his own soldiers to satiate his blood lust. You can't possibly know what it's like to always be in the shadow of your sibling!" he roared at him.
Trunks gagged for air trying to form words. Cooler noticed this and released more of his hold on Trunks to allow him to speak.
"As...a matter of fact...I do know what's it like," Trunks weakly told him.
Cooler's eyes narrow in confusion as he stared at the young Saiyan. "What are you talking about?" the purple alien asked leaning forward to better hear him.
"My entire life...I've been compared to my alternate timeline self. Having to live up to his shadow, the determined future warrior that came back to the past to save us all. Even when he found out that helping us would not save his timeline. He came back anyway...to make sure we never went through what he suffered," Trunks told him.
"For most of my early life...my father kept comparing me to my older counter-part. 'Why can't you be as strong as your other self? I want you to become even stronger than him!' and on...and on," Trunks said licking his lips. "Even when I became a Super Saiyan at the age of seven it was never enough. I couldn't even defeat the monster Majin Buu...I had to fuse with my best friend to even stand a chance. After that whole fiasco...my thoughts turned to my alternate self. For nights I would think of how the 'future hero' would have saved the day...how I had to be faster, to be stronger to be his equal. What's worse was that I thought my own attacks were unique. But, right after I fought Buu my father informed me that half of my attacks were the exact same ones he had..." Trunks whispered.
Cooler paused at his words and threw him to the ground before stepping on his chest. "How ironic, you think that telling me a fake sob story will save you? Even if you story were true, then it proves that even siblings get in the way and need to be stopped before they eventually stab your in the back," Cooler seethed down to him.
Cooler lit his hand up with a smile. A small part of him was glad to get it off his chest how much he hated his brother. It felt good, almost therapeutic if he were honest. Maybe he would make a habit of occasionally venting to his victims and then heading into the Otherworld to kill their soul so they wouldn't talk about what he revealed to them.
Suddenly the sky lit up behind him and he felt one of his father's energy attacks dissipate behind him. He turned with his eyes wide. He looked around confused for a minute. Something was missing from the sky...something round and then it clicked.
"You have got to be kidding me! Why the Hell did father blow up the nearest planet? He knows that was where we get the best oysters to eat after we complete our training here! Damn it, now we have to finish this quicker than I planned. I do not want to get caught by the planet debris slamming onto the planet's surface or we start drifting off into the nearby stars. There's no space traveling civilization around in the nearby solar systems and I don't know how to contact the Demon King to open his damn door in space!" Cooler yelled.
He turned back toward Trunks who was smiling at him and he felt his lower body began to heat up.
"You tend to get distracted way to easily. Word of advice, try to focus more on your opponent than every small sound in your surroundings, otherwise you could face an attack that has a big bang," Trunks quipped before firing a small version of his father's signature Big Bang attack from both hands.
Cooler was pushed off of Trunks and into the sky. The young man got up with a grimace, he knew that Cooler's massive foot left a bruise. He was sure when he got home he would see a massive footprint on his chest that would not fade away for a while.
Trunks powered up trying to focus on his body to get his blood pumping more to get it more to his injuries. He took a few calming breaths to get the oxygen his body desperately craved. He still felt light headed as he rubbed his throat. He could tell that it was red raw from Cooler's grip. He was not looking forward to the next couple of days. He was going to have to avoid going to his office as his business suits would kill his neck and explaining what happened to his workers would take a lot of time.
He turned back toward Cooler who was charging at him at full speed. He pushed his power out from him and he met him mid-flight. They bounced off each other and began trying to ram each other in the ground, not paying attention where they were going...
Frieza inspected his forearms. He had taken a bit more damage from Vegeta's last attack. His power had certainly rose to a new height Frieza had not expected. It was quite interesting, each level of these Super Saiyan forms put Vegeta in a higher tier of power. It reminded him of his own suppression forms he had made to better control himself in his younger days. Looking back now he should have followed Cooler's example and taking the time to learn how to handle daily tasks in his original form. Had he done so his defeat on Namek most likely wouldn't have happened. Once the prince of monkeys was dealt with, he would move on to train his body again in time. Perhaps unlock that advanced form of Cooler so he could finally be rid of his older brother. He hadn't forgotten how Cooler manhandled him back at the cave. He would show him who was the superior between the two.
"Well Vegeta I really must applaud you. You've managed to become far stronger than what that annoying Demon King had informed us. It really is unfortunate that you are on the wrong side of things. I really could use a training partner to keep me in shape after I dispose my brother. And as much as I hate to say it, but my father is beyond me at my current state. However, with you at my side I'm confident I can surpass him in time. I'm offering you one last chance to return to my forces. In fact, I'll even name you my Supreme Commander. You'll be above everyone. Dodoria, Zarbon, and even the Ginyu Force. Second only to myself. What do you say?" Frieza asked.
Vegeta cocked his head to the side. "Hold on, you'd actually name me your Supreme Commander? I'd be above even Ginyu in your army?" He asked him intrigued. Frieza could tell he almost had him. He only had to sweeten the deal a bit more and he had him.
"Pledge your loyalty to me right now and I'll spare your family. I can promise your wife and daughter's safety. In fact, I'm told that she hails from a scientific background and owns a mega corporation. I'll even place her in the science division so she can feel right at home. It'll take a little bit for her to get used to our science, but I'm sure she can move quickly through it. As for your sons though..." he trialed off looking behind him feeling both of them being struggling against his own family. "I can't promise they'll make it out alive. However, if you prove your loyalty I will allow you to wish them back to life. Provided they understand their place in the new hierarchy," Frieza said extending his hand out to Vegeta.
He could tell that Vegeta was just about in as he remained silent as the minutes ticked by. He knew that despite what Vegeta said he was still conditioned to do be his lapdog. Sure he had gotten away, but he still missed the life of space. Exploring the stars and fighting different enemies. Staying on Earth must have gotten stale and fighting Goku could only hold his interest for so long. He would want to look for new challenges and Frieza was sure he could provide him a new change of scenery.
Vegeta smirked at Frieza. "Thanks, but I'm going to have to decline. I've found peace on Earth long ago. I'm not going to change that just to have you threaten my family every time I step out of line. And I sure as Hell don't want my daughter to go through what I did under your thumb. So you can take your offer and shove it up your ass."
Frieza's hand fell and he sneered at him. "Very well don't say I didn't warn you. I gave you the perfect deal and you spat in my face. Just goes to show that you apes are just raging brutes with no thought to your betterment. Always drunk on your power. Well let me remind you why I was the terror of the Universe!" Frieza shouted at him.
He lowered his arms and roared powering up. His purple aura enveloping him and lighting up the sky. Dark storm clouds gathered overhead. Frieza pushing his power out more and more. He had longed to test his newfound power and this was going to be his first opportunity. Once he had got through Vegeta, Cooler would follow after him into the dirt.
Frieza charged at him raising his fist to strike Vegeta. The Saiyan prince pushed his fist away looking surprised. Frieza sped up his attacks intent on smashing Vegeta's face in. But, the Saiyan Prince was able to parry all of his blows. Frieza screamed in rage as he held his hand out creating a purple disk. Vegeta's eyes widened and he broke off from Frieza flying backward to gain distance. Frieza threw his Death Saucer at Vegeta's head intending to separate it from his body.
The Saiyan Prince knew this attack was similar to the Destructo Disk that Kakarot's friends and that touching it would mean getting sliced. They were to close in power that Vegeta was sure it would cut him in half. He had to come up with something quickly. He knew leading the disks toward Frieza would not work. Kakarot had tried to do it and Frieza caught on to it according to his rival's story. He could only evade it for so long and the after-image technique wouldn't work forever.
He flew around dodging this way and that. Frieza kept adding more Death Saucers to try and confuse Vegeta. He wouldn't be caught like he was all those years ago against Goku. He kept track of each disk he fired, keeping it only to four disks in total. Vegeta kept trying to have them be destroyed by flying them into the ground or into the various plateau's in the area. But, they just kept returning with their intent to slice him into pieces.
Vegeta had enough and gathered a lot of energy into his body. He crunched his body into a ball building up more and more power. Just when the disks were converging on him from four different directions only seven feet away. He released the energy in a powerful explosion around his body. The disks fizzled out with the explosion and the fragments passed harmless into him.
Frieza was nowhere to be seen and Vegeta couldn't feel his energy anywhere. Suddenly he appeared in front of him slamming his fist into Vegeta's face. Vegeta felt the skin on his forehead break from the blow and blood poured down his face. His body impacted with the ground and made a small crater. Frieza landed on top of him with Vegeta gasping for air. Frieza crossed his arms and smiled down at him.
"You know what's the best thing about all of this Vegeta?" Frieza asked him as he began to stomp on him. "No matter what you did, no matter how much you trained for this. You are still nothing more than a worm under my feet. This is actually ironic really. Despite probably knowing for the past six months that we were coming for you and your mud ball of a planet," each stomp came harder then the one before. "You still are nothing to me thanks to that Old Kai unlocking all of my power. There's a reason my family has been in charge of the Universe for centuries since Bojack was locked away. Your pathetic race of people may have the oddball person or six with your Super Saiyan transformations, but what are a few noteworthy pebbles that make up the mountain?" He asked kicking Vegeta away from him.
Vegeta's body scraped the top of the ground. His back was ripped up from his blue uniform being ripped to pieces. He could feel the scrapes in his back and the blood began dripping from his back. He could see a golden and purple light getting closer to his position. He lifted his head trying to focus on which of his sons it was near him.
Only to have his face slam again into the ground by Frieza's fist. Then he felt the back of his head being picked up by Frieza's hand and forced to look up into the sky. "Oh look at that. Looks like my brother and your son are trying to smash each other into the ground. Let's watch the proceedings shall we?" Frieza quipped.
Trunks and Cooler kept slamming into one another, each trying to gain an advantage. However, both of them kept increasing their power and couldn't overpower the other.
'This is getting annoying. There's got to be something that I can do to slow him down. At this rate he'll ram me back into the ground.' Trunks thought to himself. 'Maybe if I use a distraction that will stop him for a moment to think of something further.'
Trunks raised his right arm out forming a white energy ball in his fist. 'Having this shoved in his face should distract him long enough,' he grinned to himself. He pushed his arm forward detonating the attack.
Only to have a sword impale itself through his shoulder, his energy attack blowing up in his palm, and falling to the ground screaming in pain.
*Jason9000: So looks like it was Trunks that got his shoulder impaled from his older counterpart's sword. The Cold family is dominating the fight against the Briefs so far and things look grim for them. Can't wait to show you guys what happens next, let's just say it'll be...explosive for all six of them. There are a couple of references in this chapter some of you may pick up. If you do, then good on you. Please leave a review on your thoughts on the chapter.*
