Jason9000: Hello everyone, been a while since the last update. Dragon Ball Super is about to end as we've got two episodes left in the Tournament of Power. I'm looking forward to seeing how it ends. Well with this update we've got another fight in the makes as Cell gets his long desired rematch. Let's get cracking shall we?*
Goten flew after Cell's body with a smile. He heard stories about the raw power of Cell. His father was completely outmatched against him. He saw old videos of them fighting when he was young. Or as much as the camera crew could catch when they were on screen. Back and forth their battle went on and it looked like they were about even. Until the camera was destroyed when Cell got fed up with how his father was having trouble staying in the ring. He heard stories from his brother about their fight. Gohan at the time thought that his father was holding back and just testing Cell out. However, when Goku gave up and put him in the fight Gohan was caught off-guard. Gohan had shown little to no interest in fighting over the course of their battle and pleaded with Cell to stop his madness. The bio-android ignored his pleas and continued on fight till Gohan finally lost it and ascended to Super Saiyan 2. Goten was always filled with awe on how Gohan described transforming for the first time. How he effortlessly beat Cell to the point where he had tried his suicide explosion to take them all out with him, which in turn cost Goten the father he never had. Now was the time to face the ultimate creation of a mad scientist hell bent of revenge against his family. He would not back down from this fight.
Goten quickly initiated an old move of his from when he fought Trunks at the World Martial Arts Tournament. He quickly flew above Cell, whom had just regained his balance to stare up at Goten. The boy darted to the ground at high speed. He no longer was flying, but letting gravity do his work for him. He fell with a grin. Cell merely sneered at him and darted ahead, but Goten put his palms out and released a bit of ki to bounce off the ground. He pushed off the ground and turned his body to head butt Cell's spine. The bio-android staggered forward and swung his right arm back to smack Goten, but the young man fell to the ground. Cell brought his foot up to stomp him to the ground. However, Goten rolled to the side and jumped up.
He began hopping in place humming a tune to himself. Cell cocked his head to the side. This was a new development for him. He had never fought someone that would sing. He charged forward at aiming a round kick at Goten's head. The young man merely ducked from the attack. "Jab!" he cried out quickly punching Cell in the chest. He took a step forward "Straight!" he shouted knocking him back a few feet. He flew after Cell's body. "Hook!" Goten said as he punched Cell in the side of his head. He then finished his combo up by pouring his Ki into his hand crying "Uppercut!" his fist connecting with Cell's jaw and into the air.
While Cell's body flew up into the sky. Goten kept his eyes on him, a grin on his face. He was truly enjoying this. Fighting a powerful opponent that wasn't a family member or friend. He hadn't been in a real fight since Buu was trying to kill them all in his childhood. Peace was wonderful and he was grateful that he could live his life as he saw fit. Going to school to live a semi normal life, hanging out with Trunks when he wasn't learning to run his mother's company, babysitting Pan every now and then, helping his mother and grandfather around the home, and even training. Granted when his father left a year and a half ago to train Uub he did slack off a bit and focused more on trying to find a girlfriend. But, once King Kai informed them of a possible intending disaster he buckled down and trained as much as he could.
Cell was frowning as he regained control of his body after Goten's attack. The boy was truly a strange one. He was hopelessly outmatched and instead of providing support for his father and older brother, this Goten decided to rush ahead and try to wear him down. This tactic was beyond stupid even for a Saiyan. From the reports the Demon King gave them Goten was almost as laid back as Yamcha was when it came to fighting. The boy only trained at minimum levels to keep himself in shape and barely made any progress. The only value he had was with Trunks when they performed their Fusion Dance to become a warrior more powerful than they were individually.
Cell rushed down to the boy raising his fist. He would humor him for now. The boy would soon realize that he was completely outmatched and would call for his brother and father for assistance. Then Cell would finally have the rematch he craved. Revenge would be his and then he can focus on challenging anyone in his way. Perhaps he can take over the Otherworld tournaments for now. He could recruit dead warriors to help him achieve even more perfection. Frieza's family could have the stars and the Demon King could have control of Hell for now. Cell would find a way to be free from the Demon King's influence. Even if he had to recruit the dead's best warriors to hone his abilities further and create his own army.
Goten jumped back as Cell's fist connected with the ground. The bio-android flew forward raising his knee connecting with Goten's stomach. The boy spat out blood and spit. Cell grabbed the back of Goten's neck and lifted him over Cell's body and smashed him into the ground. Goten's body bounced off the ground and Cell stomped on his stomach, creating a small crater in the ground. He stared down at the boy with a smile.
"Oh now don't tell me this is all you have to offer? My sources told me you achieved Super Saiyan before you were ten and that you can fuse into a powerful warrior with the ability to become a Super Saiyan 3. One would think you'd have potential equal to or even greater than that of Gohan. Yet here you are pinned down by my foot and I'm not even really trying. Didn't you say you were going to be my warm-up? Or are you just all talk and no action?" Cell asked him.
Goten chuckled. "Oh don't worry moth man. I'm not done yet," he said with a grin.
Goten then fired a Full Power Energy Blast Volley at Cell's face. Cell's eyes widened as the energy balls hit him in the face one after the other. He jumped off Goten raising his arms to his face. Goten finished the attack and jumped up. He began humming the same song from earlier again as he rushed over to Cell kicking him in his chest. Cell took a few steps back grabbing his stomach. He scowled at the young man as he straightened himself.
"Why do you keep humming to yourself? In all of my time fighting against your father and his allies not once did any of them sing," Cell questioned.
Goten's cocky grin returned to his face. "No reason, it's just how I feel like fighting you. If it's really irritating you I can try yodeling if you'd like. I've been working on it for some time and would just love for a new audience to hear it," the young man sarcastically said.
Cell smiled at him and closed his eyes. "While I'm sure you have such a 'wonderful' singing voice. That will not be necessary. Although I'm not quite sure why you're humming, you'll find out soon that it will cost you dearly."
Goten cocked his head to the side. "Oh what? That by humming to myself I'm wasting precious seconds humming a song and should be focused more on fighting you? Nah, I like my chances so far. Thanks for the advice. Since you're being such a sport I'll give you some as well."
"Oh?" his opponent asked intrigued. "What advice could you have for me? I'd love to hear it from such an...experienced fighter," Cell said.
"You need to stop relying on your overconfidence so much and get over your idea of being 'perfect'. If you really are perfection itself then you would have escaped Hell the moment you were sent down there. You need to admit that there are others out there with different abilities than your own," Goten informed him.
Cell's eyes opened and pointed his palm at him. "Ultimate Blitz!" He cried sending an energy wave out from his palm that split into five golden beams. He smiled when he felt Goten pitifully try to raise his energy to tank the attack before he was lost in a dark cloud of smoke.
"I'll be sure to take your advice for my rematch against your father and older brother," Cell sarcastically said turning to where Goku and Gohan were standing. "You seem pretty calm for how I just manhandled your son Goku. Does it not enrage you that I put your son in the dirt where he belongs?" he called out to him.
Goku only looked on, not saying a word as if waiting for something. Suddenly he smiled and laughed. "I wouldn't count him out just yet!" Goku excitably yelled.
Cell's eyes widened as he heard humming directly behind him. He quickly turned around and saw Goten still standing with his fists raised bouncing on his feet again. He didn't have a scratch on him and he still had the same cocky grin.
"Sorry big guy, but I'm not going down that easy. Come on, I said show me what you got. So far I'm a little disappointed in you," he said wagging his finger at him.
Cell charged at him his aura exploding out from his body. He punched at Goten who only seemed to dodge the attack with another cocky grin. Cell elbowed him, but the young Saiyan moved his body to the left dodging his second attack. Cell then sped up his attacks trying to hit the Saiyan, but he kept dodging each attack and his humming grew louder to Cell's annoyance What confused the bio-android even further was that Goten was barely pushing his power out with no massive aura. From what he could tell his opponent's body was just faintly glowing and his body looked leaner.
"How are you this fast? You're only a Super Saiyan! This shouldn't be possible!" Cell cried in frustration trying to strike him.
Goten didn't respond and he only dodged his attacks. Suddenly he quickly uppercut Cell in the air and fired a golden orb of energy at Cell. The orb quickly enveloped Cell and he felt the force crushing his body. Goten detonated the attack and the sky lit up with a golden light.
Suddenly Goten felt a fist connect with his spine and his back felt like it was on fire. His body flew forward before he slide painfully into the dirt. He slowly got up and saw Cell standing there with two fingers raised to his forehead and his right fist still closed. His aura once again exploding out from him with multiple sparks flashing across his body.
"Once again I must thank your father for this technique. The Instant Transmission technique is quite handy for getting out of sticky situations. I could have used my Perfect Barrier to block the attack, but it wouldn't have confirmed my hypothesis about what you're doing," Cell said.
Goten painfully got up and shook the dirt off of him. "What I am doing? I'm merely fighting you. I'm not some scientist trying to conduct a lab experiment. I get that you're the product of a test tube, but come on. Between you constantly going on about your 'perfection' and raving on about how you were created, I get the feeling your brain is just permanently stuck in the tube you were created in and can't think outside of your programming," he said.
Cell folded his arms and rolled his eyes. "What is it with you and talking? All you do is talk and talk. You're worse than Vegeta trying to hide his fear with talking about his pride and the pride of his race. I'll bite boy, what are you blabbering about now?"
"It's actually quite sad. You were stuck in a test tube for years, listening to the ravings of a mad man hell bent on revenge. You were programmed to hate my father and everyone else. You were fed only selected information and a desire to achieve your 'perfect' form and kill my father. Your ego blew up each time you absorbed Android 17 and 18 till you saw the world as an 'imperfect' place and your twisted logic had you arrive at the conclusion to just destroy everything in your path once you killed my father. Face it Cell, you've never had free will. You're just a slave to Dr. Gero's insanity and will never break away from it," he told him.
Cell only stared at him in silence. "Time to further test my hypothesis on you," Cell calmly said.
He brought his hands forward charging a blue energy ball.
"Ka...me..." Cell said bringing his hands back. The ground began shaking underneath him and golden electrical sparks formed around him.
Goten's eyes widened as he sensed the attack. This was much more powerful than what Cell had shown earlier and he began sweating. He didn't want to show his hand this early, but his comment must have pushed Cell too far.
He brought his hands closer to his chest and two white orbs appeared in front of him. He put more and more of his energy into the attack, knowing it would take almost everything he had to stop this.
"ha...me..." Cell said keeping his eyes on Goten. His eyes focusing solely on Goten's body, not even caring about the attack.
Both of Goten's white orbs formed into one giant orb. His mouth tightened to a line and he focused more on his attack.
"ha!" Cell roared firing his attack Goten with fury.
"Super Goten Strike!" The young hybrid Saiyan cried firing the white orb at him.
The energy orb collided with the blue energy beam. The blue beam easily started pushing against the giant white orb. Goten felt his feet sliding as his attack came back at him. His face grimaced as he poured more of his energy into willing the attack forward. However, his attack only pushed Cell's attack a few feet backward before Cell's beam began pushing Goten's attack back at him.
Cell smiled as he focused his senses on Goten. "Gotcha."
Using his speed Cell charged through both attacks using a condensed version of his Perfect Barrier to protect himself. His eyes focused on the outline of Goten's body and aimed a round kick to Goten's head.
Only for Goten to barely duck from the attack and jumping to the side. Their attacks zoomed by them and carried off into the distance. Cell kept his kick in the air and stared at the young boy. Slowly he lowered his leg and was quite for a minute before he began clapping.
"Congratulations Goten. You have surpassed my expectations. The ingenuity that runs in your family is strong with you. This technique you've been using in this fight is quite interesting."
Goten chuckled at his opponent rubbing the back of his head like his father. "Ah man, you figured it out already? I was hoping I'd have a little more time before you caught on."
"You're doing the exact opposite of what the alternate Trunks did against me all those years ago. You may have the enhanced Super Saiyan form your father and brother used against me, but at the precise moment of my attacks you increase your speed and reaction time so it's faster than what you can normally do. Quite impressive and certainly helps you dodge attacks from opponents more powerful than you," Cell informed him.
"Well my dad once showed me the bulky form to further increase your physical strength as a Super Saiyan a long time ago. So I got to thinking if you can make yourself physical stronger at the cost of speed. Why can't I increase my speed and reflexes at the cost of my strength? It took me a while to be honest. I only just managed it before we came after your group. I'm just glad I finally have an opportunity to test it," Goten said grinning.
Cell nodded at him. "I'll even further guess and say you subconsciously have it where you focus the form with your humming to better use it. An interesting combination. However, there are two fatal flaws in your form. One which I plan to exploit boy."
Cell charged at him at a much faster pace. Goten could barely keep track of his movements. He started humming to himself while bouncing on his feet and he saw his opponent raise his left foot to kick the side of his head.
Cell noticed the faint yellow outline around Goten's body once more. "Bingo!" he exclaimed.
Goten became ready for the kick and moved his head down to avoid the blow.
Only to feel Cell's fist connect with his jaw and send him flying to the sky. Cell followed him up in to the sky and began his Perfect Combination technique hitting Goten with rapid attacks. A punch to the face here, a knife hand strike to the chest there, a round kick to the side of his head, finally slapping Goten in the face sending him away. Goten tried to force his body to recover, but just when he could recover himself Cell appear above him and elbowed him directly in his spine.
Goten fell like a rock to the planet's surface, creating a crater around ten feet into the planet's surface. His body in shock as his mind could barely register what just happened to him.
Goten screamed out in pain as he felt Cell's foot stomp further on his back. "You see boy, while you may be able to use your Ki to sharpen your senses and increase your speed. You lack strength so your counterattacks are much weaker when you change from your...I'm sorry have you named this form?" Cell cruelly asked with fake amusement.
Goten only screamed more in pain as Cell applied more pressure to his back before easing up to let Goten speak. "I was...gonna call it...Accelerated Super Saiyan," he said weakly.
Cell laughed at him. "Very well then, Accelerated Super Saiyan it is! As I was saying when you switch from your Accelerated Super Saiyan back to your Super Saiyan state your counterattacks are weaker. Your initial counterattack lacks a lot of strength and do not gain power till your second strike. You're wasting precious time and energy trying to dodge my attacks and then changing forms to counterattack," Cell told him.
He raised his foot and stomped on the young man further. Causing more dust to kick up and cover them both. Goten began coughing as his lungs filled with dust.
"Unlike you I have both strength and speed so I have no need to switch forms like you. Not to mention that I am far superior to you anyway. My power is beyond anything you are capable of producing at your current power level," Cell said.
Despite his pain Goten was chuckling again. "For such a perfect being you seem awfully obsessed with power levels. Didn't the alternate Trunks tell you? Power levels became redundant after he chopped Frieza into pieces. You're more deluded than your creator if you think those things actually matter."
Cell pushed down harder on Goten. "Even with you in the dirt you still laugh at me? You're either very bold or more stupid than your father. Any last words before I wipe that ridiculous grin off your face forever?" Cell asked charging a purple sphere in his hand.
Once again Goten's cocky grin lit up his face as he painfully turned his head to face Cell.
"More of a question really. Facing me now, am I stronger than my father and brother when they first faced you at your Cell Games? More specifically before Gohan transformed into a Super Saiyan 2 to shatter your ideals of perfection?" Goten asked.
Cell's eyes narrowed as he was caught off-guard by the question. Out of all the things he wanted to know before he died was a gauge of strength? Truly the Saiyan mindset was more brutish than he thought.
Cell merely rolled his eyes and sighed as he poured more energy in his attack. The purple orb lighting up the both of them as it grew in size. "Based on your limited performance. I'd say you are stronger than your brother before he ascended to the second level of Super Saiyan. However, I doubt you would have been able to defeat me," Cell told him.
Goten's cocky grin grew wider as he chuckled painfully. "Thank you, that's all I wanted to know," he took a deep breath looking past Cell. "Okay bro...tag in..."
A kick interrupted Cell's attack he was launched back into the sky. Gohan stared at his old enemy turning to his brother for a moment with a smile before going after his old enemy.
Goten felt a pair of hands gently lift him up so he can sit up and lean against the crater. His father chuckling and shaking his head at his youngest offspring. "You seriously wanted to go first to see if you gave Cell a harder time than I or Gohan did?" Goku asked.
Goten painfully chuckled. "Of course, wouldn't you do the same thing dad?"
Goku laughed at his son as he gently put his arm around his shoulder and floated away from the raging battle that was about to take place.
Cell was caught off-guard by Gohan's interruption. He head was spinning from the force of the blow, as the level of strength between Goten and Gohan was insurmountable. While Cell was not focusing on Gohan his defenses were much lower than normal. Before he could get his bearings Gohan grabbed his foot and threw him back to the ground. Gohan expanded his power and began throwing Ki volley's down at Cell's body pushing him further into the dirt. His body constantly being slammed down into the planet's surface making another crater. Finally Gohan made a massive golden beam in his hand and launched a Ki wave down onto Cell.
The explosions shook the area around causing the remaining wild life to flee from their surroundings. Birds took off into the distance causing them to fly into Goku and Goten, who were still floating in the air getting away from the battle.
Gohan stared down into the dust cloud. He could feel Cell's energy. He knew that wouldn't kill him, but he wanted to catch him off-guard for hurting his little brother and causing as much damage as possible before Cell's regeneration kicked in.
The dust cloud settled as Cell was still lying in the crater with rocks on his body. Gohan wasn't buying his act as he called out to him. "Get up Cell, I know that didn't kill you."
Cell groaned as he pushed the rocks off him. He had scratched and bruises over his body. He felt blood trickle down his mouth as he wiped his face. For a long while none of them said anything as they stared at each other. Slowly Gohan floated down away from the crater as Cell jumped up and followed him onto solid ground. Both combatants stood seven feet away from each other. Cell folded his arms and smiled as he felt his scratches fade as his body kicked in its regeneration.
"I'll concede I deserved that last attack. Attacking your brother must have brought back bad memories of my children nearly killing your friends. I'm glad you still respond the same way as when you were a child. It's quite funny, your body may have grown, but you still remain the same as ever," Cell said.
Gohan remained silent as he kept his hard gaze on his adversary not offering a rebuttal. "I see your father isn't joining us yet. I won't hold it against you if you call for your father's help in our fight. After all, you couldn't beat me the first time without daddy's help. I don't expect you to do it now."
Again Gohan was silent at Cell's response. This was not the reaction the bio-android expected from him. Cell narrowed his eyes as if trying to deduce what Gohan was thinking "Something's changed...you're different. This isn't the uncontrollable rage you had against me all those years ago nor are you completely ignoring me. You seem focused. Excellent this shall make our glorious battle even more perfect!" Cell exclaimed in excitement.
Cell tightened his fists as he focused his power outward. He yelled in concentration as his power exploded out for him. His golden aura much larger than when he fought Goten. Electric sparks lighting up his body as it gave him a small purple glow. His power pushing past Gohan enveloping the both of them. The area shaking harder than ever and grey storm clouds forming above them both. Soon thunder and lighting were seen above flashing above them.
Cell grinned at Gohan. His power was far beyond anything he could do before. The Old Kai's ritual was truly a magnificent event that he begrudgingly admired. The massive gap between his current self and the being he was over six months ago was bigger than he could fathom. The well of his power was bigger than ever before and he still had untapped depths just waiting to surface.
Finally Cell finished powering up as the grey storm clouds stayed above, with vast winds hitting their faces. Cell's aura pushing into Gohan trying to force him back. However, to Cell's surprise Gohan only stood there firmly on the ground. Showing no shock, fear, excitement, or arrogance. If Cell had to place the look on Gohan's face it was just sheer determination.
Gohan was silent as he powered up. His white aura just flickering past his body. Pushing Cell's power away from him as if it was just an annoyance. "It's you and me Cell," he calmly told him.
With a smile Cell walked forward. "Ah, how I have waited for this!"
Gohan walked forward to meet him. They stood barely an arm's length away from each other. Cell pushing his power out even more trying to drown out Gohan's power, but the young man kept his aura around him still pushing it away. To an untrained observer they would see a lightning bolt pass between their eyes as more sparks came out of their bodies.
Finally they both vanished and took to the sky. Both combatants entering a blow exchange. Cell kicking Gohan in the head, only to find it blocked by Gohan's leg. Gohan punching at Cell's face, but his fist caught by Cell. On and on they flew across the sky. Each of their attacks making a shock wave in the sky. For over a minute they kept disappearing and reappearing throughout the sky. From the distance Goku held Goten up who had refused to eat his senzu bean yet. At this point Goten couldn't keep track of them anymore and only saw the shock waves appear out of the sky like massive bubbles visible to his sight.
"Get him big bro..." Goten said smiling while his father looked on watching the battle.
Cell quickly fired a ki blast at Gohan, but he hit an after image that faded out of his sight. Gohan had vanished and Cell pushed his senses out trying to find him.
"Where did you run off to Gohan?" Cell quietly questioned looking around.
Gohan hovered far above Cell looking down at him thinking of how to end this quickly. He did not care to satisfy Cell's lust for a long rematch. He couldn't waste too much time fighting him. He needed to finish this quickly so he could get back to Hell and save Piccolo from his crazy father.
His resolve made up, he stretched out the limited telepathy he learned from Piccolo all those years ago to contact his father.
'Dad, I'm not going to play through Cell's sick enjoyment of a long and bloody rematch. I want to end this quickly. Watch over Goten and be ready to step in if I need it. He's far stronger than I thought and I don't want to waste unnecessary energy on him when we still have to go back and defeat Piccolo's father,' Gohan said to him.
He vaguely felt his father's acknowledgement in his head. Quickly he flew down at Cell in insane speed. Spinning his body to backhand Cell in the face.
Only for Cell to causally deflect his attack with a small smile. "Come now Gohan. Do you really think I'm going to let you finish this quickly? Our long awaited battle will not be easy. I care not for your mission to save Piccolo. You will focus entirely on this battle. I want it to be perfect and I will not let you distract yourself by thinking of saving your mentor. Either focus on the here and now or you will die," Cell said turning around to him.
Cell then punched him in the stomach. Gohan hunching over gasping in pain. Cell then backhanded him sending into the ground below. Gohan's body spinning uncontrollably into the ground scrapping the planet's surface. Cell raised a finger charging a Full Power Death Beam and shooting down at Gohan's body.
Gohan's eyes widened as he placed his hand on the ground firing a golden Ki wave to move his body away from the attack. Missing the attack by inches he stood up on his feet once more. He charged another golden Ki wave and shot it at Cell.
Cell grinned as he brought his hand out. A red energy sphere forming in his hand. "Big Bang Crush!"
Cell's attack met Gohan's and after pushing into each other for a moment Cell's attack quickly pushed through Gohan's and struck the ground where he stood. Gohan however, planned for this to happen and had flown under the attack flying into Cell from below striking him in the stomach. Gohan then kept flying up while punching Cell repeatedly, each strike more powerful than the last. Cell gasping in pain as he felt each attack hit.
Finally Gohan grabbed Cell's body, twisting back to the ground. Holding Cell's body upside down as he flew as fast as he could to the ground. Just when they were about to hit Gohan let go and flew parallel to the ground making sure he didn't impact the ground as well.
Gohan turned around and saw Cell's top half buried into the ground. He was about to launch another attack when Cell roared in anger from underneath. Breaking the ground around him. Debris flying everywhere and Cell's enraged eyes focused solely on Gohan.
He held his hands up and two disks formed. One disc a yellow, golden color with a razor edge and the other a flat purple disk. Gohan's eyes widened in recognition as he saw Krillin's Destructo Disk and Frieza's Death Saucer. Cell's body twisted as he launched both attacks. Gohan powered up and took off to the sky. His aura leaving a blazing trail as the discs followed him. Gohan zigzagged all across the sky trying to lose the discs.
"Don't even think of pulling what your father tried against myself or Frieza!" Cell called out from below. "They're not only locked on to your energy signature, but they'll follow you around even if you engage me in combat!"
Gohan twisted his body around firing two golden Ki blasts at the disks. Only to find Cell's attacks cutting through his attacks. Sweat poured down Gohan's head as he realized this was going to be difficult. Ahead was a mountain with a cave opening, he flew lower to the ground trying to aim for the cave opening. He quickly disappeared into the cave with the disks following him inside. Suddenly Gohan's energy vanished from Cell's senses.
Cell's lips curled into a smirk as he chuckled. 'Does he really think I can't track him by hiding in a cave? If I need to I'll just have my attacks cut the mountain to rubble to force him out!'
Cell began arching his arms as he directed the disks to start cutting into the mountainside. The mountain began rumbling as some bats came flying out in a panic. The disks cutting in and out of the mountain, causing it to cave in on itself. Cell did not feel Gohan's life force extinguish and he obviously didn't power up to attack Cell. After thirty seconds the mountain was no more and with only rubble and a cloud of dust reaching into the sky. Both of the disks were barely visible hovering over the carnage as Cell stood there puzzled.
"Now he wouldn't power up without risking my attack cutting him to shreds...nor would he stay hidden with his defenses lowered. Otherwise he would be crushed by the rocks. Where did he go...?" Cell mumbled.
His hearing heard rumbling below him. His head looked down as he saw Gohan flying up from beneath the ground hitting him in the jaw. Cell's body flew into the air as Gohan turned his head back to what was left of the mountain.
Only for both disks to cut his body. The purple disk separating his neck from his shoulders while the gold disk cut him from the waist. The attacks fading away as Gohan's bloody body hit the ground.
Cell grinned as he stared down at Gohan's body parts. After almost two decades his revenge was complete. In the distance he could hear Goten screaming in horror at his brother's mangled body. Cell began laughing at Gohan's corpse.
"At long last my revenge is complete. As the Demon King's demons tear you apart in the afterlife, I hope you lie in anguish when the realization hits that I'll be coming after your wife and daughter. That is, once I finish off your pathetic brother and annoying father first," Cell said turning to Goten and Goku.
Cell could feel Goten's power rising before hitting a wall. This caught his attention and he almost wished that he hadn't nearly broken his spine. He would have loved to fight him at a higher level. But, he was a bit more cautious than in the past. The last thing he needed was to push them so far. He was a little tired from fighting Gohan but, he was quite confident he could still take Goku even with his long haired transformation.
With a snap hiss Gohan appeared a foot away from him. Gohan's arms crossed on his forehead with golden energy spilling from his head. The anger on his face as he stared at Cell. The force of his power pushing Cell back as he stood shell shocked that Gohan was still alive.
"HYPER-MASKENO!" Gohan screamed at the top of his lungs. Cell cried out in surprise as his body was lost in the beam. His body melting away from the attack. He tried to raise his power to defend himself, but Gohan's attack tore through his body. He felt his arms being vaporized followed by his torso. Cell lost the ability to feel anything as his body burned away.
Gohan began breathing hard. He lowered his arms as he stared at what was left of Cell. His head and neck were hovering in the air. Gohan rushed forward to the head. He began squeezing his head between his hands as Cell's eyes widened in pain. Without his lungs, Cell couldn't bring any air into his body and cry out.
"I personally asked Tien to show me the Multi-form technique. Together we've improved the technique to where it can leave believable dead bodies as well. Of course Tien mastered it even better than I did. Did you know he can leave perfect copies now with no power loss? So long as it's only three bodies he can make two perfect clones of himself," Gohan told the head in his hands.
Cell's head then exploded from Gohan crushing his head between his hands. Blood and bits splattering everywhere. Gohan shook his hands in disgust as he hovered in the air and waited.
For over a minute there was silence. Suddenly he heard a pained cry from below. He looked down and saw a green glob growing. Legs appearing from the center with a green juice like substance covering them. The chest grew bigger as arms formed finally a head. Cell had returned gasping for oxygen. His breathing ragged as he tried to rest his body. Regenerating from bits was still quite painful. Especially at the rate he had pushed himself. Gohan's last attack had caught him completely off-guard and he had never expected Gohan to crush his own head in his hands. He looked up with Gohan, the hatred in his eyes seen by Gohan's indifferent stare.
"This is your last warning Cell, give up now. Otherwise I'll rip you to pieces and blast you away. I told you I wasn't going to play your twisted game. I don't care for your sick desire for revenge. You're wasting precious time that I can use trying to save Piccolo.," Gohan said coldly.
Cell only blinked in anger. His fingers twitching in annoyance. He had been bested by this brat years ago and now he was standing above him not even concerned with this fight. Gohan didn't even consider him worth his time! Cell was fed up being bossed around by the Demon King and now Gohan didn't even care for their destined rematch! He would show him and everyone else why they should not dare to mock the perfect being. His fists clenched in anger as he stared at Gohan. Deciding on his next course of action, Cell ignored his body's painful protests and dashed at Gohan at full speed.
"Phoenix Rise!" The bio-android shouted as he flew at Gohan. Cell's body began burning as he charged forward spreading his arms out taking the image of a phoenix. Gohan blinked in surprise, not expecting him to charge at full speed. Cell rammed into Gohan's body before he could raise his arms in defense. Sending Gohan flying, his body aflame. Cell finishing up with a flame in hand sending it at Gohan, enveloping his body. Gohan screamed in pain as the flames burned his body. He desperately tried to power up to dispel the attack. To his horror all it did was further power Cell's attack burning his body more.
Cell appeared above Gohan and swung both of his fists down onto Gohan's chest smashing into the ground. Cell quickly flew back down to the ground and stood over Gohan's body grinning.
"Did you really think I didn't develop any new attacks in my time stuck in that infernal pit? Unlike you and father, I don't just gain another transformation to increase power to come up with a variation of a technique I have; nor do I rely utterly on the techniques of others. I've spent time studying some of the Demons I've been forced to interact with for the past six months. Most of the current populace can only manipulate fire, but some of the very old ones can actually create it. Thanks to Dr Gero's data from Vegeta's' first fight with your father I found I was able to create a small flame. After observing the older Demons practicing their techniques, I created this attack, and I've been saving it especially for you," Cell told Gohan.
The half-Saiyan could only writhe in agony as his body burned him. He felt the fire lick his body as if searching for something. The pain constantly shifting from one end of his body to another. The more he tried to dispel the attack, the worse it got. There was nothing he could do, but scream.
"The best part of this attack is that the more you fight it, the stronger it becomes. By powering up, you're pumping more blood throughout your body and increasing your body heat. The flames seek out the warmest part of your body and feed off of it," Cell explained. "Your body then subconsciously tries to power down from the pain, but then the flames seek out the next warmest part. Thus, your nerves don't get apathetic to the attack and your body is in a constant state of agony."
Cell's grin widened as he raised his left palm to Gohan. A grey orb forming in his hand. "You have no idea how long I've waited for this. I've spent years thinking of nothing, but my defeat in your hands. The pain I felt as my body was burned away from your attack. Now you too understand my humiliating defeat. But, I will not let you die. You will not get the relief of dying. I shall keep you like this till your mind breaks so that even when I finally grant you the relief of death, the pain will always haunt you. You will never be free from my torment."
Cell then turned around and fired his orb. Hitting a figure sending it flying into the distance. The person crashed into the woods nearby. Cell flew off after the person leaving Gohan on the ground burning.
Cell stopped before the figure with his arms crossed with a smile. "You just couldn't wait your turn could you Goku? I was hoping to wait till I defeated Gohan, but if you're that impatient I will gladly fight you now," he told him.
Goku stood up glaring at Cell. He couldn't watch his son be lit on fire. So at Goten's urging he stepped in to stop Cell's sick games. He had hoped that turning Cell's attention away from Gohan would stop the attack, but his son's scream of pain were heard in the distance.
Cell turned his head toward Gohan's screams and chuckled at Goku. "Ah, I see now. You thought that by interrupting me that would cancel my attack. Hate to break it to you Goku, but that won't stop your son's pain. He will feel what it's like to be obliterated. Right now nothing he could do will stop the attack. He will burn until I cease the attack or die. But, we both know the latter is far less likely to happen."
Goku's mouth formed a thin line as he quickly powered up to Super Saiyan 2. Sparks flashing across his body lighting up the area around him. His aura going inwards as he took a deep breath. His body began glowing as only the occasional spark flashed across his body.
Cell turned his head to the side. "Interesting, your aura went into your body just like Gohan's did...what technique have you come up with?" Cell asked.
"You'll see Cell. I'm going to finish this quickly so Gohan will not have to suffer your sick game," Goku told him.
Cell chuckled. "Funny, Gohan said the same thing to me and look at him now. Burning on the ground writhing in agony."
Goku darted to Cell grabbing him and spinning him around performing his Dragon Throw technique launching him into the sky. His eyes lingered on Gohan for a second seeing if Cell's words were true. To his anger, his son was still burning on the ground. He turned back to Cell and flew after him.
Goku yelled as he charged a one handed Kamehameha in his left palm. His hand glowing with blue energy as he launched the attack at Cell whom had just recovered in the air.
Cell saw the attack and raised his power. His aura exploding out from him. He quickly punched the attack back at Goku. The Saiyan blinked in surprise as he raised two fingers to his forehead performing the Instant Transmission technique and escaping the blast. The attack just missing him and going toward the ground.
"Oh no you don't..." Cell mumbled to himself as he copied Goku's movements and vanished as well. For a moment they disappeared till Goku came back into existence soaring up to the sky. Cell appeared with his leg raised in a kicking position at Goku's body. The Saiyan stopped his ascent as he looked down at Cell with a grimace.
"Surely you didn't think you could get away from me with Instant Transmission Goku? It is a handy technique to escape with; however, that will not work with me. I have been practicing it with Cooler in my spare time and like him I can intercept you in between your usage of it," Cell said smiling.
"Well least I know not use it very often now. I'm not surprised you could pull it off if Cooler was able to figure it out. What I am surprised is that you actually spared with someone. I thought you would have been above that. Just like how you think you're 'above' my attack," Goku responded.
Before Cell could ask what Goku meant he felt a familiar heat near his back and felt himself hit by Goku's earlier energy wave attack. The Saiyan having bent it back to Cell. It burned his back and legs as it pushed him toward Goku. Only to be meant with Goku holding his arm out and catching his neck stopping his momentum. Goku then raised both his hands and struck into Cell's chest sending him back to the ground below. Goku watched Cell's falling form only to stop himself from smashing into the ground. Cell spun his body upright so his feet landed firmly on the ground.
Goku studied Cell for a minute. He noticed a thin line of his purple blood trailing down his mouth. Cell's body once again covered in dark bruises and cuts. Cell blinked in annoyance as he rubbed his burned arms.
'Okay looks like he's taking damage. Gohan nearly vaporizing him took the wind out of him. His regeneration isn't as powerful as Buu's. It still takes a little time to kick in. I was hoping to alternate between myself and Gohan. But, it looks like I may have to finish this myself,' Goku thought to himself. He looked back to Gohan who was still burning on the ground. He noticed Goten trying to walk to him. 'I'll do my best to keep Cell distracted from them. Hopefully a Senzu bean will help Gohan.'
Goku flew down to Cell who's regeneration process finished as he wiped the blood from his mouth. His bruises began to fade away leaving only faint outlines. Goku stood a couple of feet away from him. Cell looked down at Goku as both were silent.
Slowly the ground began shaking around both combatants. Around them small rocks began to rise. Cracks of lightning hitting one rock and going into another. Both of them pushing their power out. They both walked to each other. When they were three steps away they simultaneously raised two fingers to their foreheads and disappeared without a trace.
Goten was slowly hobbling to Gohan. Cell's last attack made it more painful to fly. He hadn't taken his senzu bean yet as they had no Dragon Balls to wish them back to life. Until they found all three sets he wasn't going to take any chances. He already died once against a demented version of Buu years ago and contrary to popular belief it had changed his life outlook. Barely seven years old and he woke up in the line leading to the Check-In Station. Thankfully Trunks, Gohan, and Piccolo were next to him also regaining consciousness. His brother doing his best to comfort him and Trunks as they began freaking out that they actually died. Then barely twenty minutes later before he was even close the looming building, he disappeared and found himself back on Earth. The lack of the halos above their heads indicating they were alive once more.
He finally stood before his brother's burning body. Gohan rolling back and forth trying to turn douse the flames. To Goten's immense surprise his brother's body did not have severe burns nor was his skin melting. Goten quickly tried patting the fire off his brother, but all it did was cause Gohan to scream more in pain and roll into Goten's ankles; which also forced Goten to fall onto his back and scream out.
Just a foot above from where his head was, his father appeared before him. His arms crossed in an x formation as he blocked a punch from Cell. Goku followed up with a round kick to the side of Cell's head pushing him off. He disappeared again chasing after Cell's body.
Goten painfully rolled onto his stomach and began crawling to Gohan. His brother was needed in this fight more than him. He had to give him his senzu bean to quickly heal him. Which would hopefully dispel this attack.
Goten raised himself to kneel over his brother's burning body. He reached into his pocket and searched for the bean. Thankfully it was not crushed from Cell stomping on his body. With one arm he held Gohan in place and pushed down to stop him from thrashing out. "Gohan, you need to open your mouth. I'm going to give you my senzu bean to heal you. Just try to hold still for a minute."
Gohan shook his head. "No, d-d-don't. Cell's attack will keep burning me. My p-p-power will shoot back up and the f...flames will seek out the warmest part of my body. The senzu will only make it worse," Gohan gritted out.
"Then what should I do?" Goten asked him.
"Eat the b...bean for yourself and help dad. Defeating Cell should d-d-d-dispel his attack. Now go!" Gohan shouted through his pain.
Goten wanted to protest, but he knew his brother was right. He nodded at him with a new set of determination. "You got it bro, I'll take this bug man down as fast as I can."
Suddenly he heard his father shout and he felt his body shoved out of the way. He looked to the side and saw a golden beam pass by him. His father losing his golden hair as he fell backwards with a giant hole in his left bicep as Cell laughing behind the three of them.
Goku knocked Cell to the ground again. He charged down at Cell raising his fist to strike the ground at Cell's head. Cell's eyes widened as Goku's fist struck through him, making a crater where Cell's head had been. Goku mentally cursed as the After-Image faded away with Cell reappearing to the side kicking him in the side of the head pushing Goku back. Goku flipped his body upright and put his hand on the ground to stop his momentum. He could feel blood trickling down his forehead. He wiped his brow and grimaced. He felt cuts all over his body. His right kneecap was heavily bleeding judging by the warm feeling on his leg. He had dirt all over him and his power was draining fast. Goku began heaving for oxygen as his lungs felt like they were on fire. Cell had gotten much stronger than he thought. He was having more of a harder time than when they first faced each other all those years ago.
Cell stood before him. While not breathing as hard as Goku, he was more cut up. He pat his bleeding arms as he looked at Goku with a small grin. A stream of blood trailed down his nose. His regeneration was slowing down as Goku attacks were draining more of his stamina. Cell grunted in anger as he forced his regeneration to heal his body. He pushed his power out, but his aura only covered his body. Lightning briefly flickered around his body. Goku could tell that him and Gohan were wearing him down. But, his regeneration made this difficult. Goku was confident that he and Gohan could've taken him out, but now his son was burning. He had to find a way to stop Cell once and for all.
"What's wrong Goku? I know you can go even further beyond Super Saiyan 2. I want to fight you at your full power. Go ahead and transform, now! I will not be satisfied till you do. How else do you expect to defeat me to save your burning son?" Cell questioned.
Goku didn't respond to Cell as his eyes briefly moved to Gohan's burning body. He could see Goten trying to get to his brother and help him. 'Cell may be right. I might have to go to level three to finish this. But, level three drains too much energy and I've already fought against him for a while. I won't be able to hold it for long,' Goku thought to himself.
Goku took a deep breath. He needed to put a stop to this now. He would not let his son suffer any longer. He starting focusing on his inner power and began his transformation. He had to make it quick. He couldn't afford to draw out the transformation.
Cell smiled as this was playing out exactly as he wanted. He knew Goku would play right into his hands when he only needed to push him in the right direction. While focusing on powering up to the next level, Cell would divert his attention elsewhere in the middle of transforming, making him a much easier target. He began charging a Full Power Death Beam in his left hand. He had to play this right if his plan were to work...
Before Goku could realize what Cell was planning, his opponent turned his hand firing the attack at Goten's back. Goku screamed out in horror as he flew to Goten using all of the speed he could. Flying parallel with the deadly attack, his power fluctuating between level two and three. With a rush of adrenaline he attributed to his instinctual drive to protect his son. Goku pushed Goten out of harm's way.
Only for the attack to pierce his left bicep and leave a gaping hole Goku fell backwards as his golden hair receded back to it's usual black and he moved his arm to cover his wound, crying out in utter agony. Goten looking on in horror as his father and brother were down in the dirt in pain. In the background Cell laughed at the three of them.
Cell couldn't believe his eyes. He had spent years waiting for this and his revenge was over before it had really begun. He had expected this to be a much tougher fight against them. All those years of training and his greatest threats were lying before him. One burned by the flames of vengeance and the other with a massive hole in his arm. His attack had completely cauterized the wound so Goku wasn't bleeding. While he had hoped his attack would kill Goten, thus enraging the boy's father and push him further. He was quite satisfied with Goku lying on the ground practically crying from the pain.
"Well, well, well I was expecting a longer fight from you Gohan. But, here you are burning at my feet next to your father. I must say I'm a little disappointed, but I suppose I can live with this. I was going to draw out your suffering; however, this shall suit my desires just fine. I may have genetic material from Frieza and King Cold, but I find myself agreeing with Cooler on how it is best to take care of the trash quickly, then to draw it out and let the stink get to you," Cell said laughing.
Goten ran to his father with the senzu bean he just pocketed. He was going to give it to Goku to quickly heal his arm and get back to fighting Cell as he wasn't sure where his father has pocketed his own bean. He couldn't waste precious seconds digging through his father's pockets.
"Dad, here take this! You need to eat this quickly before your arm can't be healed!" Goten cried bending over his father.
"I don't think so," Cell's voice interrupted. He quickly fired a blue wave of energy at them faster than Goten could react. All three men were sent flying off in different directions with Goten losing the Senzu bean from his hand. His father and brother's screams echoed his own. Goten landed on his left arm and heard a sickening crack. His arm giving out from landing on it. Goten was quite sure was broken, the dust cloud from the attack getting into his lungs at the same time.
Goten couldn't believe their luck as he painfully stood up. He didn't even glance at his arm, knowing that just looking at his broken arm would send even more painful signals to his brain. His spine was almost shattered and the loss of his left arm decreased his mobility further. He looked around for his father and brother. "Dad, Gohan where are you?!" Goten cried out to dust cloud.
"I'm afraid daddy and brother dearest are not here to save you this time boy," Cell's voice rang out in front of him.
The dust cloud began to clear as the outline of Cell was before him. Goten's eyes widened as he noticed he was holding someone's body by their shirt. More of the clouds faded away as Goten saw his father being held by Cell.
Cell looked down at Goku's face with a smirk. "So much for the legendary Son Goku, this fight has been such a let down. It's like the powers that be made it seem like our battle would be more grandiose. I was expecting to see your long haired form working side by side with Gohan. Ah well, beggars can't be choosers."
Goku only grunted in pain as he raised his right arm trying to punch Cell's chest only for him to grab his fist and twist his palm. "Ah good, you still have some fight left in you. I was hoping you were still conscious. I wouldn't want you to miss this," Cell said twisting Goku's hand further nearing breaking it. Goku's shout echoing across the landscape with Goten looking on in horror. "Trust me Goku this ending is going to be a blast," Cell said before tossing his body far enough to have Goku land behind Goten.
Goten's head turned to his father who had fallen into unconsciousness from the pain. The shock of Cell's last two attacks had left him stunned and his body unresponsive.
"What happened to your upbeat attitude boy?" Cell asked Goten. The young man slowly turned his head to Cell who had vanished from his sight only to appear before him. Goten took a step back nearly tripping over his father's fallen form. "You were acting so cocky, but a short while ago. Yet now here you are, cowering before my power. You truly are nothing without your daddy and big brother holding your hand aren't you?"
Goten didn't say anything as tried to punch Cell's chest. Only for his fist to bounce off and feel like it had slammed into a steel wall, bruising his knuckles. Cell only smiled down at him. "Even with all the damage they did and the energy I lost, you can't even physically hurt me now. The difference in our power is still to vast," his cruel eyes staring down at him. "Now I shall finish you off in front of your miserable father so he can understand the futility of this fight. Then once you're gone I shall torture Gohan some more. My revenge will be complete and I can focus on becoming the more perfect warrior and bringing down that demented Demon King and freeing myself from his power," Cell said suddenly jumping back further in the valley before landing. His aura once again flickering around his body with sparks adorning his feet and the crown of his head. He raised both his arms out from his chest
"Stop me if you've heard this one," Cell called out with a vicious smile. "Kaaaaaameeeeee..."
Goten's eyes widened in fear as he felt the massive energy build up from Cell. This was beyond anything he had shown before. Goten couldn't fathom how Cell could fight as hard as he did against his father and brother, yet still be able to charge up an attack this big.
Goten realized he couldn't flee with his father. Both of them were heavily injured and he doubted that he could escape the radius of this attack. Even if he could carry his father's body he knew Cell was going to have this attack destroy a good chunk of the planet's surface or just charge up another one and fire again. There were no life forms he could sense in his weakened state on any planet. He knew the Demon King would pick deserted planets just so the Z-gang wouldn't use Instant Transmission to escape and try to fight later. Not to mention even if Goten knew the technique and got his family out of here, Cell would be able to find them and use the same technique to get to their position before Goten could lower his power to almost zero. He grit his teeth as he powered up, pushing his body to stand up despite all of the pain he was in.
Silently Goten brought his hand to his thigh. Concentrating all of his energy in his open palm he stared down at his right hand. He knew that Cell's attack would destroy him. He was going to die here, but he would die trying to protect his father, as Goku fought trying to protect him all those years ago fighting Buu on the Sacred World of the Kais.
"haaaaaameeeeee..." Cell's voice rang across the valley with a mad glee.
Goten's hand shined blue in response to Cell's voice. Inwardly he laughed at the situation. This was just like what his brother described at the end of the Cell Games. Only this time, Goten knew that the difference in power was too much. While injured, Gohan at least was close to Cell's power and held his attack back for a little while before he started to doubt himself. Goten would be lucky if Cell let him keep up the facade of a defense for a couple of minutes before obliterating him off the face of the planet.
Cell paused in his attack drinking in the situation. He realized the similarity to his defeat all those years ago. Only this time, he would be the victor and laugh at the demise of the Son family. His goal of perfection would be closer to completion.
"HHHHHHHAAAAA!" Cell roared thrusting his arms forehead. A giant blue wave hundreds of feet in diameter engulfing the valley, traveling at high speeds to Goten's small form. The young man grimaced as he copied Cell's action. Goten releasing his own silent Kamehameha. The attacks meeting in the middle of the valley. The epicenter of the blasts sending foliage and rocks in all directions. Both Goten and Cell trying to force the other to give up. Cell smirking at Goten's pathetic attempt to stop him. He was barely using half of his power in this attack and he felt Goten weakening. His attack to his spine had severely weakened Goten. Even with his 'Accelerated Super Saiyan' his potential was pathetic compared to his brother and father.
Goten could barely stand upright. His spine still felt like it was on fire from the attack. He felt his knees buckling and his own power was slipping. His own energy wave becoming smaller and smaller as Cell pushed him further back. Goten knew it was hopeless as he was nothing to Cell. Thinking he could do what Gohan achieved all those years ago. Defeating the monster that threatened the world before he was born, this was way out of his depth.
Goten chuckled trying to stop Cell's advancing attack. "Well looks like this is the end..." Goten said with a sad grin turning his head to his father. "Sorry dad, but I'm not Gohan."
'Of course you're not Goten. I never said you were,' Goku voice said in Goten's head. Goten blinked in surprise as he tried to see if his father was awake, but couldn't see his father's eyes with the bright blue light behind him. He turned back to Cell and tried to push back, but it only bought him a few extra seconds as Cell's attack once again overtook his. "Great now I'm hearing voices in my head. Always knew I'd go mad," Goten mumbled to himself.
'I'm speaking to you telepathically. Cell's last attack just about knocked me unconscious. I can't keep my eyes open and I'm fighting everything I have to speak to you like this,' Goku's voice said to him. 'Listen Goten, I know you've had it difficult more than most people realize. You've been living in the shadows of Gohan and I since you were born. I never meant to make you feel like you weren't as important to me as Gohan.'
"Little late for us to be having this heart-to-heart chat don't you think?" Goten said loudly. Cell's energy beam now cutting into his own. He only held Cell's attack back by a good fifteen feet and Cell was gaining ground.
'Now may be the only time. Listen to me! You are Goten! You're the youngest Super Saiyan ever! Together with Trunks you can combine into a warrior more powerful than I could ever dream of becoming by myself! I know you're in a lot of pain. But, you have just as much potential as Gohan. Reach deep inside yourself and let it out!' Goku's voice shouted in his head.
Goten was forced to take a step back and he once again nearly tripped over his father's body. He looked back over his shoulder and saw his father's eyelids moving. Goku opened his eyes to stare at Goten. His father's voice left his head as they looked at each other. Goku's eyes showing how proud he was of him in this fight. How despite the expansive gap of power between him and Cell, Goten still decided to take him on and do what he could to help take him down. Slowly Goku moved his hand and grasped his son's ankle. Giving Goten a smile and tightening his grip, showing that he was with him to the end.
On the opposite end of the struggle Cell was laughing as he took another step forward. He had toyed with Goten long enough, he was going to end this here and now. "Farewell Son Goten, I hope the next time you think of challenging someone, you'll think twice when realizing you're in over your head!" Cell laughed at him pouring more of his power into his Kamehameha beam.
Far above two golden drills came hurling from the heavens digging itself into Cells wrists. Cell's eyes widening in pain as two Special Beam Cannons painfully drilled themselves trying to break through his skin. Before he could even blink, he felt his hands being severed from his wrists as his own attack vanished into a thin beam. Cell staring at his bloody and stumpy wrists in terror as his hands fell to the ground. He looked up to see who attacked him, dreading the answer.
Far above hovered a burning Gohan with both his hands pointing at him, in the signature style of his mentor's Special Beam Cannon. Gohan staring vehemently at Cell despite the pain of his body burning.
"WHAT? GOHAN?!" Cell cried in confusion.
On the far end, Goku using the last of his strength passed it on to his youngest son before fading into unconscious. "NOW GOTEN, FINISH HIM NOW!"
Goten had been slack jawed at his brother's reappearance. Gohan had been forgotten in the chaos of the attack. He took a second to steady himself as he used the energy his father gave him to power of his attack just the smallest bit. His Kamehameha overpowering the last wisps of Cell's own as the attack engulfed the bio-Android. Goten walking forward as he pushed his attack out more.
Cell panicked as he realized his error in not looking for Gohan's energy signature before attacking Goten. Making the same mistake from all those years ago. Similar to what happened with Vegeta, by not making sure Gohan was unconscious or dead he got the drop on him. Goten's energy wave piercing through his defenses as he was in too much shock to even attempt to protect himself. His body started to heat up as the Kamehameha wave overtook him. His fury at his mistakes and being defeated by being caught off-guard. The same way as his defeat by Gohan's hands; except this time by an even weaker opponent. Cell began concentrating only on the regeneration process only to feel an even stronger attack joining Goten.
He looked on and saw that Gohan had joined his brother, adding his own attack to Goten's making it more powerful than before. How Gohan was focusing on this Cell couldn't comprehend. Cell fashioned the attack and designed it for Gohan specifically! Yet he stood before Cell defying him with is impudent brother. His individually cells were being eradicated and he knew what would follow. Cursing his own foolishness once more for being defeated by another boy with backup for a half dead family member no less!
"I AM PERFECTION ITSELF! I AM CELL!" The bio-android cried as his voice faded away into the distance. His life force slowly dissipating as his body was vaporized down to the cellular level. His last living cell desperately clinging to life before it finally gave out and exploded, once again ending the bio-android's life. The wave careening where Cell once stood, laughing at the world. Goten and Gohan using the last ounces of their strength to direct the energy wave to shoot up into the sky and carry itself into space before finally fizzling out.
Both boys collapsed in a heap. The flames receding from Gohan's body as he felt the last licks of the burning pain depart from him. Goten falling on his back once more causing a sickening pop to be heard. Goten's eyes watered in pain as all he could do is moan his distress. No longer having the energy to cry out, he just remained motionless.
"Hold on Goten, I think I still have a Senzu bean in my pocket. That sounded like maybe one the discs in your back popped out of place," Gohan said digging into his pocket and pulling out a bean. "Take it little bro, you need it."
Goten painfully shook his head pointing to Gohan and mouthing the word 'more', before dropping his arm as it made his back light up in more pain, this time tears leaking out of his eyes. "Goten, this is not the time to be arguing. I don't care that you think I need it more, because I'm stronger than you. You're going to take it even if I have to force feed you."
Gohan held the bean over his brother's mouth. But, his younger brother was being as stubborn as his own daughter. Rolling his eyes, Gohan held Goten's mouth with his right and and force fed him the bean with his left. He quickly shut his mouth and made him chew the bean. Goten still glaring painfully at him for a minute before he swallowed.
Within a few seconds his back popped again, his wounds healed, and his energy was restored. He slowly stood up and glared at Gohan for a minute. "Take away the fact your strength is miles above mine and you stand a better chance at socking that giant Demon King in his smart mouth more than I ever could. You were literally on fire less than a minute ago. I still think you needed the bean more than I did," Goten reminded him irritably. "I'm surprised your skin hasn't melted off and you don't have horrible burns. Just what did Cell do to you?"
Examining his arms Gohan noticed he was not burned at all. In fact, his arm looked completely fine. His hand briefly grazed the top of his head to feel his hair was there as well. He could still feel a lingering burn sporadically shooting through his body. Whatever Cell had done to him, had ceased once he finally perished.
"I'm not sure, it seems his attack only targeted the nerves throughout my body to feel like I was always on fire. I'm just glad we were able to finish him before he pulled out anymore tricks. I get the feeling he had more up his sleeve than he was letting on," Gohan said.
Goten raised a fist to his chin in thought. "You don't think we'd have to face him again in Hell? I'm not sure I could survive another encounter with him. I've played all of my tricks against him," Goten mused.
Gohan raised an eyebrow in amusement. "You mean your 'Accelerated Super Saiyan' thing you pulled against him. When did you come across the idea to increase your speed and reflexes at the cost of your strength?" Gohan asked him.
His brother put his hand behind his head and laughed in typical Son fashion. "Well you guys showed me that buffed up variation of Super Saiyan. So I figured why not try the same thing, but with the opposite effect? I knew most of our enemies would be way faster than I am in my current state so I thought just increasing my speed would help me live longer."
Gohan shook his head. "Goten, the whole purpose of mastering the Super Saiyan state is so you don't have to pull off any ridiculous grade of Super Saiyan at the cost a vital aspect of the form. I know you mastered it when we left the time chamber. What was the point of creating that 'Accelerated state when you know Super Saiyan 2 exists?" Gohan asked.
Goten laughed. "Hey if dad, Vegeta, and Future Boy can make crazy grades of Super Saiyan then I can too. You're just jealous that I'm more creative than you," the younger man responded looking smug.
Gohan only shook his head at his brother's antics. "You are a strange one little bro," he looked around them for a minute before turning back to their father's unconscious body. "So what do we do now?"
Jason9000: Well that was the longest chapter yet. Hope everyone enjoyed the fight. After consulting with another writer that I've known for a couple of years now, I've decided to write most of the fights as one chapter. However, the chapters that will feature heavy dialogue will most likely not be this long. Well expect maybe the ending of this fic. Hopefully we'll get there one day. Till next time!
