Hello! It's a day late, but Happy Holidays everyone! And Happy New Year :D

I am posting two new chapters today! Hope you enjoy :)

Thank you Piper for betaing for me!

Harry POV

My eyes snapped open, my consciousness, suddenly yanked out of sleep. Sitting up, I looked around in confusion. Casting a quick Tempus with the wave of a hand, I frowned at the numbers. 5:30 in the morning, the sun isn't even up yet. 'Why in the world am I awake?'

Looking over towards the other bed in the room, Remus is still there sleeping soundly though there's a slight frown on his face. I reached over for my glasses, but paused when I saw something red on my hand. 'Well, that's strange.'

Putting on my glasses - silver rectangle ones instead of the ugly round ones - I looked at the red mark better, and realized: it was blood. Upon further inspection of my body, I quickly figured out it was my blood, if the gash on my right arm was anything to go by. 'What the hell did I do to myself in my sleep?'

Glancing around the room after lighting the tip of my wand with a Lumos, I see nothing out of the ordinary. However, I woke up for a reason, something woke me up. Otherwise I'd be sleeping for at least another two hours. Casting one last glance around I eventually look up to the wall above my bed. That's where I got some of the answers. Either I sleep walk, Remus is more sadistic than I thought, or someone was in here last night, and wrote Harry Evott is a liar, in my blood on the wall.

Since I know I don't sleep walk, and I also know Remus would not do this without, at least, healing the gash on my arm, there was someone here. But why would they do something like this? I sighed; I need to get rid of this before Remus wakes up. Casting quick cleaning charms, and healing the gash on my arm, I got rid of all the blood. However, that doesn't mean he won't be able to smell it still. I need an excuse for why there's the scent of blood in the air. Unfortunately, by the time I'm done getting rid of the mess, and taking a shower, Remus has woken up and is sitting on his bed looking ruffled. I smile at him awkwardly.

"Harry? What are you doing up so early? We don't have class for another four hours… why do I smell blood? Are you okay? Did someone hurt you? Do I need to get you to the hospital wing? What happened? I-" Remus spoke quickly, on the verge of panicking as he looked me over for injuries, hands gentle.

"Remus, I'm okay, I just seem to have given myself a good cut in my sleep is all. I always wake up this early. Sorry if I woke you," I smiled at him and he took his hands from my arm, giving me a small smile in return.

"No, it's fine, you didn't wake me…" Remus trailed off, as I suddenly flinched, body tensing.

"Umm…I need to…I need to go somewhere. I'll be back to walk to breakfast with you so don't leave without me. Right, I'll see you in a little bit, then," I spoke quickly, dashing out of the room, not seeing the confused, and devastated look Remus had. My scar had begun to hurt again, which is something I didn't think it would do. Really, why would it, when Voldemort didn't have a connection to me in this time period? Something was wrong, and Zuna wasn't here for me to speak about this with, since she is out getting ingredients for the Wolfsbane. That leaves me with the next best option here; the Chamber of Secrets and its hidden basilisk.

~Open ~ I gasped out, clutching my head, the intense throbbing not easing up any. Just as the Chamber opened, I jumped in, slightly anxious to meet with the basilisk. Hopefully, it won't decide to turn me to stone. Slowly, I walked through the tunnel, keeping my ears alert for any sounds. Of course, the snake is probably still locked in the statue of Slytherin, but it is better to be safe rather than sorry. Thankfully, there was nothing but the rhythmic dripping of water as I stopped in front of the statue. I just stood there, studying it. It was still the detailed carving of Salazar Slytherin that I remember it being. Taking a deep breath, I gave the whispered phrase, closing my eyes as the hidden passage opened to reveal the snake.

~Who dares to wake me up from my sleep?~ The basilisk let out a hiss, slithering out from its hole.

~It is I, Great Snake, who wakes you. I have questions that you may have answers to. But first, I must ask that you shut off your deadly power so that I may speak with you properly.~ I hissed a reply, removing my hand from my head slowly, despite the pain. However, holding it was not helping, and I needed to be ready in case this went badly, and I needed to run.

~A speaker? I apologize for my behavior earlier, Master. Of course, I can turn off my power. It is done; you are free to open your eyes now.~ The basilisk said excitedly, likely not having spoke to Tom in years, at this point. Probably not since he left Hogwarts, or when he got rejected for the teaching position.

~Thank you.~ I spoke, opening my eyes to view the snake I killed not too long ago. In this time, the only difference is she - the snake sounds like a she anyways -is a little bit smaller. I assume she shed her skin once or twice between now and then.

~What are the questions you have for me? I shall answer them the best I can, Master.~

~I have found that someone came into my bedchamber yesterday and wrote Harry Evott is a liar in my blood on the wall. Do you know of anyone who would do such a thing? Or maybe why?~

~I cannot be certain as to why, but there are some Slytherins, or even Gryffindors, who would do such a thing.~

~My other question involves Tom Riddle.~ I spoke softly, not surprised to hear her let out a low hiss of shock.

~He gave me this scar, when he attempted to kill me.~ I moved my hair, showing the lightning bolt scar.

~He is the only other speaker I know. Aside from Salazar Slytherin.~

~Yes. I got the ability to speak from Tom, when some of his soul got trapped inside of me through this scar. It also linked us, causing the scar to hurt when he has strong emotions: usually anger, when he is torturing someone, or when he is nearby. However, I was not thinking this would occur anymore, as I shouldn't have a link to him anymore.~

~Well, Master, because the scar cannot find Tom, I can only assume, it linked itself to any danger that is nearby. So, whenever you are in danger, or something ominous will happen to you, sometime that day, the scar will burn. It may also branch off to your close friends, or loved ones to warn you if they are in danger. This way, the scar will protect you, so you may safely return to your own time. I do not know WHY it would want to protect you, however.~

~Thank you, Aphroda, you have been most helpful. I must be going now. I will return when I can stay longer.~

~You are welcome, Master. I will look forward to your visits. And Aphroda?~ She, now Aphroda, sounded slightly confused.

~Yes, it shall be your name. Do you not like it?~

~No, I like it a lot, Master, thank you.~

~You are welcome. I shall see you later, Aphroda.~

~Of course, Master.~

~Please, call me Harry.~ I left after seeing her head nod in the affirmative. Now, what am I supposed to do? I'm sure Remus will be wondering what happened, why I suddenly left like that.

Leaving the Chamber of Secrets, I turned after the entrance closed again, only to come face to face with a shocked Remus.

Remus POV

I looked at Harry, as he spoke in a rush, before practically fleeing the room. What just happened? Did I do something I shouldn't have? Did he realize I am a monster? Where is he going anyway? Unless he is going to go tell the whole school about my freakishness. He wouldn't do that...would he? Now worried, I decided to follow after him.

I had been following Harry for nearly five minutes, up the stairways and through random corridors, when I literally ran into Black, effectively losing whom I was following. I flinched in response when he glared at me, pulling his fist back to punch me. I laid on the ground for what seemed like ages, as he continued to attack me, not even bothering to get his wand out like usual, before he suddenly stopped, and ran off.

'That was really odd.' I groaned in pain as I sat up. I'll think on that later. After another eternity, I stumbled into the practically never used girls bathroom, no longer focused on following Harry. Seeing no one, I set to fixing my wounds. Broken ankle, broken nose. Sprained wrist, and multiple cuts. It was when I was nearly finished, that there was a sudden groaning sound of something large opening, and I watched Harry climb out of the gaping hole made in the middle of the sinks. It was easy enough to realize I am likely looking at the Chamber of Secrets, having heard the rumors about it. How would Harry know about it being here, though? Just like how he somehow knew about the Room of Requirement existing.

"Harry?" I manage to whisper out.

"Oh! Umm...this isn't what it looks like! I promise. I have good reason to be here. I just can't...umm...say that reason in question," My eyes widened slightly as he started to panic, hands shaking, and his own eyes wide in shock as he walked closer to me and away from the now closing sinks.

"Harry! Harry, calm down, breath, it's okay!" I limped the rest of the way to him, having not reached my ankle yet. I heard a small gasp, Harry's eyes narrowing in on the injury. However, he was still going into a panic attack. Not knowing what else to do I took his hand and placed it against my heart, hoping he will match his breathing to mine, and calm down. After a few minutes he did, and I started to pull away but his hand curling into my robe stopped me.

"Remus, you're injured! Why? How? Who did this to you?" he swiftly closed the last few inches between us, bending to look at my ankle. The panic now gone, having something else to focus on, for the time being.

"It's okay, I already healed most of the damage. I just hadn't gotten to my ankle before you suddenly came out of the gaping hole in the floor," I spoke calmly, as Harry set to healing the break. "Thanks."

"No problem," he stood back up, casting a tempus. "Come on, there's still time before breakfast starts," I nodded in agreement, flexing the now healed bone, before following him out of the room. Any questions I had about the Chamber forgotten, my rumbling stomach excited at the prospect of food.

It didn't take long to reach the Great Hall, using a few shortcuts I knew of from my time with the Marauders, Harry following me without question. The halls were suspiciously empty, something I hadn't noticed when I was following Harry earlier this morning. This set me on edge, and I wondered if Harry even noticed, since he still had a relaxed feel about him. I didn't mention anything, not wanting to break the calm.

'Maybe everyone is just in the Great Hall eating? But then there would still be some students wandering around the halls. Plus it's not a Holiday, so none of the students could have left without us knowing something was happening.' I heaved a sigh, and we came to a stop in front of the Great Hall doors, Harry pushing them open when I hesitated. Whatever I had been expecting when we entered the Great Hall, it wasn't this.

At first glance it was completely empty of everything and everyone, aside from two people. Albus Dumbledore and another student stood there, firing spells at each other. The student wasn't one I recognized, with blonde hair and green eyes, her face was set into a deep scowl. With closer inspection, her eyes seemed to have a film over them. Glancing around the Hall a second time, I noticed all the tables had varying amounts of damage to them already, like they had been dueling for quite some time. I absently wondered why the Headmaster hadn't knocked her out by now. Or at least called for the Aurors.

"Harry?" I asked gently, seeing he was shaking, though in fear or anger I am unsure. 'Maybe he knows who the girl is? That could explain the anger?' He didn't answer, opting to raise his hand in their direction.

"Arresto Momentum" Harry spoke, the two slowing in their steps. I thought that spell was only used for someone who's falling but I shrug it off, turning to Harry who was frowning.

"Run!" Harry said, looking over at me.

"What?"

"Please, Remus, run, and don't look back or return. Wait for me on our room," I stared at him, dumbfounded.

"No way!" I would not leave him here with two wizards trying to murder each other. Harry could get hurt! I watched as he huffed lightly and turned to be directly in front of me.

"Please, Remus," he spoke softly, placing a gentle hand on my cheek. His eyes filled with care, worry, and determination. He gave my cheek a soft caress with his thumb before I nodded. Turning, I ran back down the corridor, ignoring the urge to look back.

I didn't understand what was going on. I wasn't quite sure I knew who Harry really was at this point. I sat down on my bed, staring at the door, waiting. Waiting for what, I didn't know. Was it for Harry to burst into the door and say he was joking and he didn't really know who that girl was or why she was fighting the Headmaster? Or am I waiting for someone to come and tell me Harry was killed? For some reason that thought made me want to throw up.

I laid down on my bed and went through my thoughts to figure out what I knew of Harry.

1. His name is Harry Evott

2. He has a snake named Zuna

3. Gryffindor

4. He, for some reason, protects me

5. He knows where the Chamber is and how to open it

6. He knows about the Room of Requirement

7. He seems to know who that girl was

I sat for another twenty minutes trying to think of anything else I would know but came up with nothing. This drew me to another question.

Who is Harry Evott?

A little bit later, my thoughts were interrupted by Harry stumbling into the room. I gasped, taking in his bloodied form. He had a cut down the one side of his face, a seemingly broken arm, and another two large gashes; one across his chest and another down his leg. Quickly standing up, I helped him to the couch.

"Harry? Hey, what happened?" He looked really pale, and it was making me worry more.

"I-I just…" I watched in slight shock as he spoke softly, before tears started to flow down his cheeks. "This wasn't supposed to happen. None of this is supposed to happen. This isn't how I remember things. This isn't what I was told," The tears chose that moment to come out faster, Harry leaning forward and clinging to me, as sobs wracked his damaged body.

"Harry," I spoke gently, "what happened?"

"Albus... Albus Dumbledore killed her," he answered, the sobs stopping, and tears slowing.

"The girl?" I questioned.

Harry could only nod before turning his head into my shoulder, body slumping in defeat. I wrapped my arms around him, wondering what had happened in there to make him like this. Grabbing my wand I began to heal his wounds, each one making Harry relax into me more as the pain was taken away. We stayed like that for a while, and I eventually put my wand back into its pocket, running a hand through Harry's hair as he fell asleep.
