|Chapter 10: A Dark Present

Hawks Agency, Kyushu

Tokoyami scrambled to touch the ground as Izuku landed them both on the roof of Hawks' agency. His breath was heavy and his eyes were wide as Dark Shadow patted his back.

"Welcome to the agency!" Hawks exclaimed, ignoring Tokoyami's hyperventilating. "I'm not one for wasting time so let's get right into this." He pulled out a timetable and began walking to the elevator; resecuring the teen's luggage with his feathers. "We'll be going to the third floor, that's where your rooms are."

The elevator dinged and they walked out into the third floor. It had three couches surrounding a large coffee table with a large T.V. in front of it. There were a few vending machines and a kitchen on the other side of the room.

"This is the break-room." Hawks presented. "We have a kitchen and living quarters for resting after a long day. Sometimes, if we have pretty big cases, we all just sleep here and continue in the morning." He explained before pointing down a hallway. "Your rooms will be down the hall that way. It's the two rooms on the left past my office. Go put your stuff in there and put on your hero costumes."

Tokoyami looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "Already?"

Hawks nodded. "Yup, I wanna get you two out there as fast as possible." He explained. "From what I heard on the news about the USJ attack; and what I saw at the Sports Festival, you two have what it takes to handle most of the thugs around here."

Izuku nodded and started to walk down the hall. "Alright, come on, Tsukuyomi." Tokoyami quickly caught up to him.

5 Minutes Later

Hawks couldn't help but chuckle at Izuku's costume. "Your costume looks familiar; I just can't place it." He said with faux cluelessness, tapping his chin.

"It doesn't stand out to much." Izuku chuckled awkwardly. "It's also comfy."

The winged hero turned to Tokoyami. "Alright, darkness aesthetic, love it."

The bird-boy nodded. "It helps strengthen Dark Shadow." He explained.

Dark Shadow popped out of Tokoyami and waved. "Yo, I'm Dark Shadow." The sentient quirk greeted.

Hawks waved back. "Good to meet you." He sat down on the couch in front of the T.V. "Alright, come sit."

Izuku and Tokoyami both took each of the other unoccupied couches. "So what do you wanna talk about?" The greenette asked.

Hawks leaned back. "Pro heroes at a calibre such as ours need to be efficient in what we do." The winged pro explained. "If we wanna be as efficient as possible, then we're gonna need to talk about things that both of you need to work on."

Izuku looked confused. "Like what?"

Hawks' feathers floated a remote over to him and he pressed a button before the T.V. began to play footage of both of them. "First problem, getting Tsukuyomi to fly." The blonde said. "You're definitely strong and your reaction speed is actually faster than I thought it'd be, but your travel speed needs work.

Izuku grabbed a notebook from… somewhere. "Actually, I've had an idea on how he could fly." He said, flipping to his page he did on Tokoyami.

"Where'd the notebook come from?" Hawks asked.

Izuku ignored him and began to explain his theory. "So… I've noticed that Dark Shadow is always floating when you use him." Tokoyami nodded. "And it got me thinking, if he could hold onto you while he's moving, then you'd technically be able to fly."

Tokoyami thought for a bit. "A sound theory, but Dark Shadow would need darkness to be able to hold me."

The greenette smiled and nodded. "That's where your cloak comes in; if Dark Shadow goes underneath the cape, then it blocks out the light, meaning he can get more power and maintain it." He explained. "And it means your arms will still be free as well."

Hawks smiled widely from his seat before he turned to Tokoyami. "What do you say, Tsukuyomi, wanna try it out?" He asked with a raised eyebrow.

The bird-boy smiled back. "Your intellect is truly a marvel, Izuku." He said to his green-haired friend; he turned to Hawks and nodded. "I will try to fly."

Hawks turned back to Izuku. "Now that we have that out of the way, let's talk about your problem." He said, getting a confused look from Izuku.

"What's my problem?" Izuku asked.

Hawks shook his head in faux disappointment. "Don't let all that power you're holding go to your head." He said. "Every time you fight, you take too long to change your power output. You need to learn how to instantly change your power output for a fight." The hero explained. "You don't want to cause collateral damage because you couldn't change how much power you had fast enough."

Izuku had a distant look on his face and was muttering. "I guess he's right, if I'm fighting someone then crash with the same power output I could cause serious damage, and if I learn how to do instant power changes then I could switch between Testudo and Air Force easie-" He was brought out of his mumbling from a feather under his nose which made him sneeze.

"You done?" Hawks asked, his feather returning to his wings; Izuku nodded sheepishly. "Oh and one last thing." He said before two of his feathers grabbed Izuku's cape and ripped it off. "No capes."

Izuku tilted his head. "Why not?" He asked.

"Please, just, trust me." Hawks replied, leaving no room for argument. Izuku nodded. "Great, let's get going then." The blonde said, walking to the elevator. "If we're lucky, you two will have your problems fixed up by tomorrow."

The two teens smiled and ran after him.

Kyushu, An Hour Later

"Yes!" Hawks exclaimed. "Keep up that output, Tsukuyomi, Dark Shadow!"

Tokoyami was currently waving side to side in the air in a sort of flight at high speeds. He and Dark Shadow had finally managed to find the output needed for sustained flying. Beneath them, Izuku floated just above the ground in case they were to crash.

"It is fun up here." Tokoyami said, waving slightly. "I feel free."

Izuku flew in front of him a bit so Tokoyami could see him. "That's the feeling you want, don't even worry about flying, just let yourself get lost." He explained.

Tokoyami nodded and closed his eyes; Dark Shadow was smiling. "This is fun!" The sentient quirk exclaimed. "We should do this more!"

Izuku smiled and flew level with Tokoyami. "I agree." He said. "Don't worry, you'll get the hang of this eventually." The greenette reassured. "And you'll have it easier since you have Dark Shadow."

The dark, raven quirk smiled. "Yeah, we got this!"

Tokoyami sighed before giving a small smile. "I'll take your word for it." He turned to look at Dark Shadow. "Let's go higher."

The shadow beast smiled before letting out a loud 'whoop'. Tokoyami instantly shot upwards to the top of the buildings and was moving much faster than he was before.

Izuku and Hawks grinned widely before shooting off to follow the two.

Building Roof

Tokoyami breathed heavily as he landed on a roof, leaning on an AC unit. "That was my fault, I should've been more specific when I said higher." He said, standing up and dusting off his costume.

Izuku chuckled as he floated in the air. "You can't say it didn't feel nice though." He said.

Dark Shadow smiled. "Yeah, we should do it again!"

Tokoyami shook his head. "Tomorrow, we're sticking to below the buildings for the rest of the day."

Hawks grinned. "Well, I thought that was fun." He said, getting a frustrated look from Tokoyami. "Alright, you did good for your first time." The pro turned to Izuku. "Now we just have to find some villains and get you better control."

Izuku's danger sense went off and he turned to the source. "Something bad is going on that way." He said, pointing to where his danger sense was.

Hawks raised an eyebrow. "How do you know?" He asked, a hint of confusion in his tone.

Izuku swallowed, trying to keep his composure. "Sixth sense, I'm usually never wrong."

An explosion and a crash cut off their conversation and the three were instantly on alert. They wordlessly took off from the roof, Tokoyami not caring about how high he was.

Izuku and Tokoyami observed the scene in front of them with horror as they arrived. There were a number of unconscious civilians on the ground and a cop car crashed into a wall. The officer on the ground was barely breathing.

"Ha, weaklings!" A loud voice got their attention and they saw a group of four walking away from the destruction.

Not wasting anytime, the three heroes flew downwards and landed in front of them, stopping the villains' approach. As they all stood silently across from each other, they took the opportunity to analyse one another.

The villain on the far left had a navy blue jacket and black pants; he wore a scarf that obstructed his mouth and had white hair. On the far right, the other villain wore similar clothing but had a short sleeved jacket and no scarf; his hair was a dark crimson and he had a scar across his right eye.

The two in the middle were the most intimidating. They both seemed to have strong mutation quirks; one was some kind of snow-furred Lion, and the other was a brown-furred Minotaur with sturdy horns. Their most noticeable feature were their almost All Might size and lack of clothing apart from a pair of navy blue pants.

After a minute of silence, and determining he had enough information, Hawks broke their standoff. "Would you be responsible for all this?" The blonde asked, his feathers rustling on his back.

The Minotaur smirked before he laughed. "Yeah, and after we finish you off, we'll be taking the money from that bank behind you." He pointed behind them.

The three heroes looked behind them to see that, yes indeed, there was a rather large bank. Hawks turned back around and shook his head. "Sorry, can't let you do that, my money is in there as well so…" His wings flicked upwards.

The Lion looked at the two on the outside. "Go around, we'll handle them."

The one with the scarf nodded and a small area beneath his feet froze over and he began to skate off at bullet speeds. The crimson-haired villain grew blades across his arms before he shot off towards the rooftops.

Hawks looked to Tokoyami. "Tsukuyomi, take the one with the ice quirk, I'll grab the red-head." The bird-boy nodded and quickly flew off in the same direction as the ice user; Hawks turned to Izuku. "You think you can handle them?"

Izuku cracked his knuckles and nodded. "Don't worry about me, I'll take care of them." Hawks smiled and drew two wing blades before flying off.

The Minotaur chuckled. "You seriously think you can take us?" He asked, punching his fists together. "You look about as threatening as a little bunny."

Claws came out of the Lion's paws and he roared with a smirk. "This is where you die, kid." He stated.

Izuku got into a stance and stared them down. "We'll see about that." He said, powering up 10%.

The Minotaur suddenly rushed up and Izuku got into a struggle with him. "Tch, figures you'd have some strength quirk." He grunted before beginning to push back harder.

The Lion jumped over the Minotaur's back and went to slice Izuku but the greenette's danger sense had already warned him before. Izuku concentrated and spiked 15% of his power and pushed back the Minotaur, knocking back the snow-furred villain in the process. Quickly jumping back to make distance, Izuku's power slowly filtered back to 10%.

The Lion got up and rushed Izuku again and began to slice at him, only to have all of his attacks dodged. While that was happening, the Minotaur had gotten up and flanked Izuku. The green-haired teen had already sensed this and waited for the Minotaur to rush him before spinning out of the way, causing the two to crash into each other again.

The two villains had been sent flying into a car and collapsed one of the street stores. Izuku controlled his breaths and slowly began to walk up to the villains. The Minotaur saw him coming and picked up the car they crashed into.

"Bastard!" He bellowed as he sent it flying at Izuku.

Izuku didn't bother changing his power and caught the car without struggle; he then proceeded to win extra badass-points by ripping it in half. However, the Lion had used the car as a cover and was now right in front of Izuku. Snarling, the snow-furred villain scratched at his head, getting the greenette just below his visor.

Izuku flinched backwards, giving the Minotaur all he needed as he followed up and rammed into him. The greenette was thrown backwards but quickly righted himself and rolled on the ground before stopping himself. His fingers rubbed against the cuts under his eyes and he winced; they were deep.

The two villains laughed loudly at their work and slowly began to make their way over to Izuku. But, before he could power up, a familiar figure appeared in front of him. Small bits of smoke began to wisp off Izuku's body and the vestige pointed towards the villains before disappearing.

'Thanks, Sixth.' Izuku thought before he brought up his mask. More and more smoke began to cover the area around him and he thrust his arm forward, covering the entire street in a dark fog.

"What the hell?" The Minotaur shouted, standing wide. "Where are you?"

The Lion had its arms by its sides, claws out. "Come out, you little shi-" Before the snow-furred villain could finish his sentence, his arms became trapped behind his back with wire. "What the-" He was cut off once more as he found himself being taken up to the sky out of the smoke by Izuku.

"Not sorry." The greenette said as he slammed back down to the ground, crushing the lion into the pavement and knocking him out. 'One down…'

A large roar reverberated throughout the street and the smoke suddenly disappeared. Standing in the middle, the Minotaur had grown incredibly in size, reaching over five metres, and its muscles bulged. His glowing red eyes suddenly focused in on Izuku and he huffed before getting ready to rush him.

'One to go.' Izuku activated 15% of One For All and rushed his opponent as he did the same.

Their fists collided and a shockwave shot out from their meet. The Minotaur roared and kept pushing before kicking at Izuku after realising it was useless. Izuku dodged the kick and jumped back before concentrating. His power quickly spiked to 20% and he punched downwards, creating a wind flash that immediately stopped the rushing Minotaur. Taking the opportunity, Izuku grabbed the beast's arm before throwing him in the air.

The Minotaur had managed to right itself in mid-air and turned to Izuku as he prepared to jump at him. Timing it right, the beast managed to spin out of the way of the greenette's flying uppercut. However, this was exactly what Izuku wanted as he immediately switched directions after missing the Minotaur and slammed him into the ground, creating a crater with his face.

The greenette let out a breath as he saw the Minotaur shrink back to its usual size and let his own power drop to 5%; just in case some other villain arrived. Seeing that both of his villains were unconscious, Izuku set out to secure them. He did this by taking one of the ripped out stop signs and metal poles from the rubble around them and bending around the two mutants.

Afterwards, his face panged with pain and Izuku remembered the cut he received. The greenette quickly reached into his belt and took out an alcohol wipe, wincing as the chemicals stung his cut. After that, he wiped off the rest of the blood and hastily placed a bandage over the cuts.

A sudden ruffle behind him almost made his power spike uncontrollably but the greenette calmed himself after seeing it was Hawks and Tokoyami. The two had both of their villains knocked out and held in the air by Hawk's feathers.

"Woah! You alright, Izuku?" The blonde-haired pro asked with worry, landing on the ground.

Tokoyami landed next to him and walked up to Izuku. "What happened here?" He asked, looking around the scene. "The battlefield is worse than when we left."

Izuku pointed to the snow-furred villain, his claws dripping with a bit of his blood. "Lion-guy over their just got me with his claws is all." He said, smiling. "Nothing I can't handle though."

Hawks and Tokoyami didn't seem convinced. "You sure?" The winged pro asked.

Izuku nodded. "The most damage it'll do is leave a scar." He explained. "And those are like… meh."

His companion and temporary mentor didn't seem convinced but both decided to address it later. "Alright, my sidekicks can handle the clean-up, we'll continue patrol for about another hour or two and then we'll take a break." Hawks said, stretching his wings. "And if you're both up for it, we can go for a late night fly." He added before shooting off.

Both teens smirked as they activated their quirks, shooting off after the red-winged hero.

Hawks Agency, 6 Hours Later

"Wow, guess we were out a little longer than I thought." Hawks said, looking at the clock as he sat down on his couch.

"I believe that was due to you." Tokoyami huffed out as he sat down opposite to him.

The blonde-haired pr regarded him with a raised eyebrow. "I don't speak fancy, Tsukuyomi." He said with a confused head tilt. "Care to translate?"

Izuku floated over to the fridge and grabbed a bottle of water. "He said it's your fault." The green-haired hero said before gulping down the bottle. "We didn't even take breaks for police reports since that's 'sidekick stuff.'" He ended with bunny fingers.

"You know, if we really want to be pointing feathers." Hawks started. "Then we blame the villains, there were a higher concentration here than what there usually is."

Izuku sat down on the last couch, his hair slightly wet. "Then why don't we patrol somewhere else?" He asked mockingly, surprising himself with his use of sass. 'It's probably because I'm tired.'

Hawks didn't seem to notice his tone – and if he did, he ignored it – and sat up. "Oh, right!" The winged pro exclaimed. "I forgot to mention, we'll be going to Hosu in two days."

Both Izuku and Tokoyami sat up. "Excuse me?" They both asked.

"We. Are. Going. To. Hosu." Hawks repeated slowly.

The two teens looked at each other and then back at Hawks. "Any particular reason why?" Tokoyami asked.

Hawks nodded. "We're going on a manhunt for the Hero Killer." He explained nonchalantly.

"What!?" The two teens exclaimed.

Hawks stood up and walked to the T.V. "Yup." He pressed a button and the screen displayed reports of the Hero Killer's past crimes. "We know that he'll still be in Hosu for a while, so the Hero Commission asked a few of the Top Ten to help out." The pro explained. "We'll be taking the night shift with Endeavour."

"What is our strategy?" Tokoyami asked.

Hawks pressed the button again and a map of Hosu was displayed. "Since we can fly, we'll be doing air surveillance. If you think you spot him call it in and pursue." He said, stressing the last part. "If you need to, you have my full permission to use your quirks to engage or defend against him or any other villains that happen to be in the area."

Both teens nodded. "Anything else?" Izuku asked.

Hawks turned off the T.V. "Nope." The man threw away the remote. "You two can rest for now; I'll be going for a fly in two hours though if you want to join." He offered before walking off to his office. "Dismissed."

The two teens looked at each other then back at the empty screen. "Iida resides in Hosu." Tokoyami said.

Izuku leaned back. "Yeah, I know." He replied. "At least this way we'll be there if he decides to do anything reckless."

Tokoyami nodded. "I do not possess the same sixth sense as you do, but I can feel a great darkness on our path growing." He said.

Izuku stood up and looked out the window, he sighed as he watched the sun set and the shadows grow. "So do I."

The Next Day, Streets Of Kyushu

"That's a lot better, Tsukuyomi!" Hawks exclaimed from beneath him, his excitement grew as he watched the bird boy fly faster ahead of him. "Last night really helped then, didn't it?"

Tokoyami looked at Hawks incredulously. "You threw me off three different skyscrapers." He said with a hint of annoyance. "And refused to catch me on the third."

Hawks ignored his tone. "Yeah! Worked like a charm!"

Tokoyami decided to just focus on flying; next to him, Izuku held in a chuckle. "So are we just going to be doing regular patrolling today?" The green-haired hero asked.

His winged mentor shook his head, confusing the two teens. "My sidekicks are gonna be on patrol today. The commission sent me another problem they want sorted as quickly as possible." He explained.

"Is that why you were on your phone instead of trying to catch me?" Tokoyami inquired.

Hawks ignored him again. "Have you two heard of Trigger?"

Both boys shook their heads. "What's that?" Izuku asked.

"It's a drug." Hawks started. "The drug enhances people's quirk factors while also weakening any sense of reason they may have." Two of his feathers flew from his back into his hands; one large, one small. "In other words, it would turn this." He held up the small feather before switching to the larger one. "Into this."

"There are drugs for quirk enhancement?" Tokoyami asked. "Why?"

Hawks nodded. "Back in the days it was used to just enhance the body if it seemed to be failing or by those with weak quirks." The blonde pro explained. "But after villains got wind of it, they began to manufacture it themselves and use it for criminal activity."

Izuku nodded as he digested the information. "So the commission wants us to do something about it in this area?"

Hawks landed on a roof and the two teens landed behind him. "Correct, five points to Hufflepuff." He turned around and brought up a hologram that mapped Kyushu; there were a few red spots on the map. "We're gonna be busting all their warehouses, distribution points, and pickup spots."

Tokoyami raised his eyebrow. "What if they use the trigger drug on themselves?" He queried.

"Just try to hold out." Hawks said with a shrug. "The trigger drug we're hunting isn't imported, it's locally made."

The two teens had confused looks on their faces. "So…?" They both said, gesturing for their winged mentor to continue.

"So… criminals here don't have access to most of the chemicals needed to make an effective trigger drug." Hawks explained. "They only last for about barely even last for five minutes, and the worst you can get is someone getting bigger." He turned to Izuku. "Besides, based on the footage I saw from the attempted bank robbery yesterday, you've already faced someone on trigger."

The greenette looked at him with surprise before it clicked in his head. "Oh, the Minotaur." He said in realisation. "I thought that was a quirk on top of his mutation."

Hawks shook his head. "Nope, that was a variant called Ideo Trigger; a lot more potent and throws the user into a rampage." He clarified. "So we'll be fine."

The two heroes-in-training nodded. "Where do we investigate first?" Tokoyami asked.

Hawks put away the hologram. "Right here." He said.

The two boys tilted their heads. "Excuse me?"

Hawks smiled. "The alleyway down there leads to a small factory that produces trigger." He said, feathers pointing behind them. "You two ready for your first drug bust?" The hero asked with a raised eyebrow.

The two teens looked at each other and smiled. "Yes, sir!" They both exclaimed.

Hawks' smile got bigger. "Alright, first things first." He said, clapping his hands. "Try not to be that loud, we're not in our territory anymore." The two teens gave a silent nod and Hawks signalled them to look over the ledge. "Good news, this isn't a big facility."

"What's the bad news?" Tokoyami asked.

"There isn't any." Hawks said, handing a pair of binoculars to the two. "We only have two guards at the front, easy enough to deal with." The two guards wore crimson pants and black singlets. "Who wants to take 'em?"

Izuku smiled. "Dibs." He called with a raised hand.

Hawks smiled. "Alright, greenie, you're up then" He said, giving Izuku the floor.

The greenette nodded and put up his mask. "Leave it to me."

Hawks looked over the building to the guards. "Alright, then after that we'll…" He trailed off, almost as if in thought. "Well, actually, it's kinda just winging it from there."

"Seriously?" The two teens said.

Hawks nodded. "Yeah, it's a small facility. There'll be no more than ten villains in that place." He said.

"Ten villains with the trigger drug." Tokoyami added. "I feel as though you're overestimating us."

"And I think you're underestimating yourself." Hawks argued. "Besides, I'm the number three hero, worst case scenario I end up doing everything."

The two teens sighed. "Alright then." Tokoyami relented. "Go ahead, Izuku."

The greenette smiled and dropped down to a large number of boxes in the alleyway, creating a small commotion on impact that caught the attention of the guards. Afterwards, he began to let out smoke from his body.

"Crap! It's a fire!" One of the guards said as they sprinted to the opposite end of the alley; he had red hair.

His partner, who had a tattoo on his right shoulder, also ran with him. "If the boss hears about this he'll think we were playing around again." His tone took on a hint of embarrassment at the end.

Izuku waited until he saw them close enough and smiled once he did. 'I can try out the speaker now.' He pressed a button on the side of his mask and spoke. "Domain Expansion: Ashy Mist." Half the alley instantly became engulfed in smoke, spooking the two guards.

"What the?" The red-haired guard exclaimed, lighting his hands with sparks.

The guard with the tattoo lit up his right hand with a black flame. "What the hell is this?"

Up in the buildings, Hawks and Tokoyami looked down with different expressions. Hawks had one of surprise while Tokoyami watched on with a large smile. Their expressions changed when they heard a pair of screams and then silence. Suddenly, the smoke flashed away and they saw Izuku tying up the two guards with some rope.

"You seriously added a speaker to your mask…" Tokoyami began with a smile as he dropped down next to the greenette. "So you could make an anime reference?"

Izuku smiled back. "Not for that purpose but it definitely came in handy."

Hawks coughed to get their attention. "What was that?" He asked. "I saw it yesterday on the footage but I forgot to ask."

"That was just a smokescreen." Izuku explained.

Hawks tilted his head. "Where'd it come from?" He questioned.

Izuku lifted up his arm and smoke started to wisp off it. "It's a fun little trick I can do with the energy I stockpile, if I burn it right I get smoke." He explained, hoping Akira's lie would work.

Hawks looked impressed. "Wow, you really know how to push your stockpiling quirk to its limits." He praised. "Most people with your kinda quirk wouldn't be able to do half of the stuff you do."

'Most of the people with stockpiling quirks haven't had energy building for over a century years.' Izuku said in his head. "Yeah, plus ultra, right?" He said aloud with a smile.

Hawks smiled. "Alright, let's get the rest of them." He said as he walked off to the door, the two teens followed after. "Alright, boys, tell me something." The winged pro sent a few feathers into the door and focused for a minute before taking it off.

"What was that?" Tokoyami asked.

Hawks turned around to answer him. "I can use my feathers to distinguish sounds from the minute changes in the air." He explained. "Basically, I can hear conversations through the vibrations; ultimate piece of spy gear."

The two teens' eyes widened. "I know, it's cool." Hawks said with a smile. "We can fawn over it later though, there's about seven villains in there that we need to arrest." He explained.

The two nodded and got serious. "How are we gonna do this?" Izuku asked.

"I'm gonna knock on the door and you're gonna kick it in once you hear a voice." Hawks explained before knocking on the door. "That'll take care of one and then we'll all take two each." Not long after, footsteps could be heard approaching.

"What is it you two? If you started another fire I can't cover for you agai-" The voice behind the door was cut off as Izuku powered up 5% and sent the front doors – as well as most of its frame – flying back. They all burst into the room with Hawks in front and did a quick check of their surroundings.

Directly in front of them were the remnants of the door and the villain who was behind it. Further in front of him were two villains with short, black hair around a table. They both wore crimson pants and black singlets like the guards outside but had short sleeved, scarlet, button up shirts and black masks covering their mouths.

Two more on the right wore similar clothing without the masks; both had spiky, brown hair. One had jagged arms and the other had tattoos running down both of his.

The final two on the left also wore the same uniform without the masks. One had spiky, black hair and jagged hands, the other had crimson hair with markings on his face.

"What the hell!" The villain with jagged arms exclaimed. "Who the hell are you?" His arms became covered in a small layer of stone with fire in the cracks. The villain next to him had his tattoo's glow a dim orange.

The two black-haired twins at the front suddenly summoned two blades of stone each and got into stances, spinning the blades on chains they had around their forearms.

The final two villains hurriedly activated their quirks as well. The black-haired one's hands darkened with a light orange glow around it while the other one's markings glowed a dark red and his eyes became shadowed.

"Izuku, two on the left. Tsukuyomi, take the right." Hawks said as he pulled out two wing blades and rushing the villains with stone blades. "Last one to take out their villains buys lunch."

Dark Shadow emerged from Tokoyami and Izuku's veins glowed as they went to handle their own villains.

With Hawks

The red-winged hero quickly clashed with the two villains' blades and got into a struggle. They both pushed back harder and Hawks did as well with a smile. He suddenly extended his wings and flapped them hard, sending the twins back.

One of the twins rolled back up and caught his brother. He whispered something in his ear and wordlessly strafed to Hawks' left; his brother stood up and strafed to the hero's right shortly after.

Hawks lifted a blade and began to block a flurry of slashes from the brother on the left. His wings alerted him of something behind him and he sent his feathers into the chain of the other brother, forcing him into a wall. He turned to kick the first brother in the face, sending him flying again, before turning to the other brother and rushing him with a knee to the chest.

With Tokoyami

The two villains stood across from Tokoyami and Dark Shadow with snarls on their faces. "Dark Shadow, go forth!" Tokoyami commanded.

"Yessir!" The sentient quirk happily obeyed and rushed the two villains.

Dark Shadow met head on with both villains, the dark room making him stronger than usual, and pushed back both of them. The villain with glowing tattoos grabbed something from his pocket with his free hand and threw it at Tokoyami. The object began to burn mid-air until there was a ball of fire shooting at him.

The bird boy saw this and brought up his cape to block the projectile. The fire hit and became nothing but embers in the wind. Tokoyami dropped the cape and glared at the villain. Dark Shadow sensed his displeasure and picked both villains up and smashed them against each other before throwing them back.

With Izuku

Izuku rushed the two villains, charging up 10% of One For All; he didn't need to prolong this more than he needed to. The villain with black arms rushed up as well, his orange glow becoming fiercer.

Izuku stomped his foot in front of him once he was close enough and a pillar of earth shot up to the villain. The villain in question just barely managed to stop himself and punch forward to shatter the pillar. However, Izuku used the distraction to jump over his head and land a powerful roundhouse on the villain's face, sending him into the ground.

The other villain hadn't moved from his spot and was simply watching Izuku, the marks on his face glowing more intense. Izuku saw him and rushed him next. However, the villain dodged the hit with relative ease and ended behind him. Izuku threw his foot back and the villain dodged again by flipping over him.

"As long as I see you, you won't win." The villain said as the marks on his face began to cover more of him and glowed even brighter.

Izuku gave him an annoyed look before he got an idea. He placed his arms out in front of him and created a small dome of smoke.

"Wait wha-" The villain was unable to finish his sentence as Izuku stomped the ground again, causing a pillar to slam into him and send him across the room. Izuku clapped his hands hard and the smoke disappeared.

The three heroes all looked at each other and smiled. "Good job, Izuku, Tsukuyomi." Hawks praised. "You two work quick."

The two teens chuckled. "We need to, otherwise you'll be the only one working." Izuku said.

"Izuku is right." Tokoyami spoke. "You're one of the fastest heroes on the planet, we go fast or we don't go at all."

Hawks' smile widened. "Aww, you'll make me blush."
