Magnia had been on Cybertron almost a month after Ratchet finally released her from Knockout's Medbay. He had been almost finished with the construction of a new one in one of the newly reformed buildings, and had decided that Magnia was well and tough enough to fend for herself.

She had mainly been wandering around the new Iacon City, where the Autobots had set up their base of operations. Not that she was there because the Autobots were.

Magnia had been trying to avoid Bumblebee. She just felt so guilty whenever she saw him, like Megatron was cursing her from the Well(or quite possibly the Pit). So she had closed their bond, and kept moving around so he couldn't find her.

Any Autobots she encountered left her alone on Optimus' orders, which made her wonder what had happened to the other Decepticons, like Knockout and Roulette.

She didn't have to wonder for long; she found them while she was in one of the empty buildings, looking for a secure place to recharge.

"Knockout! Roulette! You're alright!" Magnia hugged them both. "Where have you been?"

"Here," Knockout said sheepishly. "Optimus didn't want us on base, but he said we could live in this building, and we get energon from the base everyday. We tried to look for you, but Iacon's a pretty big city."

Magnia frowned, "Back up. Optimus, the biggest Decepticon hater I've ever met, let you live here? Why?"

"Oh, Bumblebee didn't tell you?" Roulette beamed. "Knockout helped Ratchet escape while he was on the Nemesis, so in return Ratchet put in a good word with Optimus for us. We're Autobots now, on the winning team. See?"

She proudly displayed her new insignia, and Magnia saw that Knockout had one too.

She frowned, "I can't believe you guys just gave up on being Decepticons that quickly. I mean, that's what you two have been your entire lives!"

Roulette looked a little uncomfortable, "Look, we know you and Megatron were a little close and everything but..."

"He was very cruel, Magnia," Knockout interrupted. "He fraggin punched Roulette in the spark chamber! I'm sorry Magnia, but I didn't want to raise my sparkling in that kind of environment."

"Yeah fine whatever," Magnia said glumly.

Roulette touched her shoulder, "Hey are you ok? It must have been rough, losing him."

Magnia blinked back a few tears, "Yeah kinda." She rubbed the back of her neck.

"Here, come in my room, so we can talk about it," Roulette offered. Magnia nodded and went with her.

Knockout started to follow until Roulette sent him a look and said through their bond, "Girl talk, Knocks. Just give us a little time, ok?"

"Sure," Knockout blushed and went to go get some energon.

After crying her optics out on Roulette's shoulder for about fifteen minutes, Magnia seemed to be dried up

Roulette offered her another tissue as she asked, "So, how's Bumblebee?"

"Huh? Oh I don't know," Magnia dabbed her optics. "I haven't talked to him in a while."

"You're not avoiding him because he killed Megatron, are you?" Roulette asked. "Because a lot of the Autobots keep complaining about how he only killed Megatron to 'save his Decepticon girlfriend'."

Magnia sighed, "I don't know. I just feel so guilty every time I see him; Megatron would hate me for being with his killer."

"But you shouldn't feel guilty," Roulette objected. "Magnia, if Megatron cared about you even a little, he would want you to be happy. Not beating yourself up over it, and not to mention hurting Bumblebee."

"I don't know. Maybe you're right, Roulette."

"Of course I'm right," Roulette said cheerfully. "That's what best friends are for."

Magnia had said goodbye to Knockout and Roulette and was walking down another deserted street when she received a comm from Ratchet.

:Magnia, I request your presence in my Medbay as soon as possible.:

:Ratchet?: Magnia responded. :How did you get this frequency? I switched comms...:

:As I suspected you would,: Ratchet commed. :It's simple I merely placed an ACDC tracking device in your bandages and then using the tracker's wave system I manually...:

:Ugggh I'm bored already,: Magnia interrupted. :What do you want, Doc?"

:Don't call me Doc!: Ratchet seethed. :Just hurry up and get here. Bumblebee's out on a mission, so if you were worried about avoiding him, he's not here.:

:How did you know...: Magnia trailed off and shook her helm. :Never mind I'll be there soon.:

She flew swiftly over to Ratchet's Medbay, which he had constructed in a one story building connected to the Autobot base. Thankfully, it had another entrance besides the Autobot's front door.

As soon as she entered the Medbay, she received a hard whack on the helm with a wrench.

"Ow!" Magnia complained. "What was that for?!"

"For making Bumblebee absolutely miserable!" Ratchet growled. "He's been running around like crazy looking for you! I doubt the kid has even gotten twenty hours of recharge since you left."

"And I told you," he waved the wrench threateningly, "that if you ever hurt him, I would have your helm."

Magnia cringed, "I'm sorry."

"Made me break my oath about not hitting femmes," Ratchet grumbled.

Magnia raised an optic ridge, "Is that the entire reason you called me here Ratch? To yell at me about Bumblebee?"

"No," Ratchet waved her off. "I've been working for weeks on trying to determine who your father is. I've compared every Autobot mech in the entire record with your CNA, even Optimus, and there were no matches whatsoever."

He began mixing something in a glass vial, "I can't understand it."

"What's that?" Magnia pointed to the vial.

"Another cybermatter experiment for Bumblebee," Ratchet sighed. "I can't get that right either. Maybe it would help if I had your mother's name?"

Magnia had her back turned to him and was looking interestingly at his collection of medical datapads. "Sure," she said, thumbing through one. "It was Crossblade."

There was a shattering of glass behind her and she whirled around to see the medic standing there, mouth open, the broken vial of cybermatter at his peds.

"Ratchet what in Pit..." she stared at him.

"What did you just say?" he whispered.

"What?" she looked at him, bewildered.

"Your mother's name. What did you just say your mother's name was?" he demanded.

"Uh," Magnia gawked at the medic. "Crossblade?"

"That's impossible," Ratchet shook his helm, awestruck. "You-you've got to be lying."

"What?" Magnia looked completely baffled. "Why would I-" But Ratchet wasn't listening to her anymore.

He had collapsed in his desk chair and was muttering, "Never even considered..." as he typed something into his computer.

"Ratchet, what-" Magnia started but she was interrupted by the computer.

"CNA match confirmed," it chirped.

Ratchet turned whiter than normal as Magnia rushed over to see, "Who is it?"

She stared, uncomprehending, at the screen and the seven letters in the name linked with her own.

R. A. T. C. H. E. T.

He had typed in his own name.
