Bumblebee and Magnia reacted immediately. Without a word to each other, Bumblebee charged towards Starscream, and Magnia sprinted to Optimus.

"Prime, move!" she yelled, shoving him out of the way, just as Starscream fired. Bumblebee tackled him only an instant later, but the missile still fired, smashing into Magnia's arm and sending her flying.

Optimus helped her up and looked at her bleeding arm in alarm; it had been shot to bits. She ignored it and yelled at Starscream, "Coward! You can't even shoot him when he's looking at you!"

"You stupid glitch!" Starscream said furiously. "I had him! You'll pay for that. Decepticons, retreat!"

As the Decepticons took to the air and ground, Bumblebee walked toward Magnia and Optimus, holding his arm.

"Frag….that hurts," he grumbled. "Are you...ok?"

"Fine," Magnia winced.

Optimus looked confusedly at his son, who didn't appear to have a scratch on him. "Bumblebee, you are injured?" he asked as Ratchet jogged over.

"He's not physically injured, but he is feeling Magnia's pain in the exact same amount and spot," Ratchet began inspecting Magnia's arm. "And you need to be more careful, young one. For your sake and for his."

"And yours, I'm assuming?"

Ratchet smiled a little, focusing on his work, "Perhaps."

Optimus coughed, "Thank you for saving me, Magnia."

Magnia beamed, "No problem. So, am I on the team now?"

Optimus shook his helm, "At this point I am considering you a neutral."

"What?!" Magnia burst out. "Why?"

"You did just tell Starscream that he should shoot me when I'm looking at him."

"Yes, because I assumed you wanted to offline honorably," Magnia narrowed her optics. "But if that is how you truly wish to die, just turn around."

"Magnia-" Ratchet said warningly as Optimus blinked.

"Did you just threaten me?"

"I did," she said angrily. "I just took a fragging missile for you, and you're still treating me like dirt."

"I am not," Optimus objected.

"You are," Magnia poked an angry digit at his chassis. "I'm not good enough for your stupid team because I used to be a Decepticon. Whatever, Prime."

She stormed crossly towards the base and Ratchet followed her worriedly.

Optimus raised an optic ridge, "Your bonded certainly is a hot head, Bumblebee."

"A...little," Bee sighed. "Why...can't she...be on...the team...Optimus?"

"I admit you two work well together," Optimus shook his helm. "But I don't trust her yet."

"Understandable..." Bee said, struggling not to lose his temper as well. "You...should know...she's...upset...because...really wants...to be...part of...team...belong...somewhere."

Optimus nodded and Bumblebee sighed and began walking back towards the base. There was just no changing Optimus' processor; he was too stubborn.

Magnia was in the Medbay, tapping her ped impatiently as Ratchet repaired her arm.

"Would you sit still?" his voice was muffled behind his welding mask. "You're messing up my work."

"Sorry," she stopped tapping her ped. "I'm a little worked up."

Ratchet flipped up his mask and reached for his wrench. Magnia flinched until she realized he was using it to tighten the bolts on her arm.

"Don't worry about Optimus; he'll come around eventually," Ratchet sighed. "He's just being cautious; it's what he does."

"Yeah sure," Magnia said glumly and Ratchet could tell she didn't believe him one bit.

He finished working on her arm and dusted imaginary dust off his servos, "There, good as new. Why don't you go see Bumblebee? He can cheer you up better than I can."

"Fine," Magnia sighed. "He's probably in his quarters."

"Wait!" Ratchet yelled as Magnia started to walk out.

"What?"

"You can't go in Bumblebee's quarters alone," Ratchet flushed.

She arched an optic ridge, "Why not?"

"Because, um,because..." Ratchet blustered.

"Ratchet, if you're not going to tell me, then there's no reason I can't go in there," Magnia grinned, noticing how flustered Ratchet was. "Why can't I go in his quarters?"

"Because you might interface, and honestly that will be the end of me," Ratchet cringed.

"So I'm just never supposed to interface with my bonded ever?"

Ratchet sighed, "No, I don't suppose that would be very fair." He winced, "Just don't ever, ever tell me about it, or do anything with him in front of me."

"Deal," Magnia smiled. "If it makes you feel better, that wasn't my intent. I just need to talk to him."

Ratchet groaned, "You could have stopped me you know."

Magnia laughed, "I thought I'd let you keep going." She waved and left the Medbay to go find Bumblebee.

He wasn't actually in his quarters, but in the cafeteria talking to Jazz.

"Hey...Mags," he buzzed happily, and Jazz waved in a friendly manner.

"What's goin' on Magnia?" he greeted. "I hear you two are together now?"

Magnia smiled, "We are. And I hear you and a certain someone are together now as well." She flicked her optics over to where Prowl was sitting, buried in a datapad.

The usually outgoing saboteur blushed a thousand shades of blue, "I don' know who you're talkin' about"

"Sure...you don't," Bumblebee teased.

Jazz rubbed the back of his neck, "Primus...does everyone know?"

Magnia nodded, "That's all everyone's been talking about. Well, that and that Bumblebee's bonded to a morbid Decepticon." She folded her arms angrily.

"It's mighty confusin' considerin' you still got the insignia," Jazz pointed out.

Magnia raised an optic ridge, "Well, I can't exactly get it replaced with an Autobot one if I'm not allowed to join the team, now can I?"

Jazz shrugged, "Well, whatever happens, me and Prowler hope Optimus is gonna change his processor. It'd be great to have ya on Team Prime."

He flashed her a grin, "Gotta run. Catch ya later!" He strolled away towards where Prowl was absorbed in his datapad.

"...See?" Bee teased. "Now...have...four...bots that...want on...team."

"Haha," Magnia said sarcastically.

Bee patted her servo, "Don't worry...Mags...he'll...come around. I'll...go get...energon."

He strode towards the energon counter and a moment later Ratchet appeared at her side.

"Magnia," he said urgently.

"Primus, you scared me," Magnia sighed. "What?"

"I'm leaving on a...mission."

"Really?" Magnia frowned; medics didn't usually go on missions. "With who?"

"Just me and Optimus," Ratchet rubbed his neck.

"Why?"

Ratchet sighed, "It's Optimus. When he trapped Unicron in the Allspark container, he emptied the Allspark into his Matrix. Now it's trying to return to the Well."

"And what happens if it is returned to the Well?"

"He will offline," Ratchet scrubbed his faceplates with one servo. "I am going to Kaon, where I believe a second, uncompleted Allspark container is buried."

"Take someone with you," Magnia pleaded. "Ironhide, Bulkhead, anybody!"

"It will depend on if Optimus is willing to tell another bot about his condition," Ratchet shrugged.

"He was willing to tell me?" Magnia said incredulously.

"More like he knew you would find out through Bumblebee anyways, so he let me tell you."

Magnia frowned, "And when is he telling Bumblebee?"

"Tonight," Ratchet sighed. "Before we leave. And seeing as you and Optimus cannot be contained in the same room for more than five minutes, this will be the last you see of me until I return."

She hugged him, "Please be careful."

"Of course, young one," Ratchet squeezed her tightly, smiling. "After all, now I have someone to come back to."
