"Why do...you hate...her...so much?" Bumblebee yelled. "She's...important...to me!"
"She's a lying Decepticon, and she'll go back to her deceitful ways soon enough!" Optimus smoldered.
Ratchet and Magnia glanced at each other and she asked, "I'll take Bee, you get Optimus?"
"Deal," Ratchet crossed the room quickly to Optimus.
"Whoa, Bee, timeout," Magnia put a calming servo on his shoulder, but he shrugged it off
"Stay out...of this...Magnia," he growled. "This is...between...me and him."
"It isn't really, considering the fight is about me," she argued.
"If you want the fight to be over, then maybe you should leave!" Optimus shouted.
"Listen...buster," Bumblebee pointed an angry digit at Optimus. "Doesn't matter...what you say...she's here...to stay...and if...she leaves...then I go too!"
"Alright, that's it!" Ratchet yelled. "Magnia, take Bee back to his quarters, and Optimus stay here. I have to get working on this blasted Allspark container! We can have family crisis time later, when someone isn't dying!"
"I'll go...in a minute," Bee fixed his gaze on Optimus. "Please...you two...bots I...care about...most..."
"Hey!" Ratchet interjected.
Bee smiled "And...docbot..." His optics grew sad, "Just...want...everyone to...get along"
He sighed and left with Magnia, and Ratchet raised an optic ridge at Optimus from behind the Allspark container.
"Nice going."
Optimus buried his faceplates in his servos, "Why does he have to care about her so much?"
Ratchet glanced at him, "Hello? They're bonded."
"So?" Optimus grumbled. "It's just bonded."
"Just bonded?!" Ratchet sighed. "Alright, I'll let that go; you've never been bonded so you can't possibly understand. Being bonded means so much more than you think, Optimus."
"Really?" he sighed. "Enlighten me."
Ratchet smiled wistfully, "Being bonded means giving yourself up to one person for your entire life, without any remorse. It means being connected to a person in unfathomable ways, through processor, body, and spark. A bonded is someone who knows your innermost thoughts, and you are completely comfortable allowing them into your processor. They share every single feeling with you, even the upset and angry ones, but through it all, there is always unconditional love."
"Primus," Optimus said. "You must miss it terribly."
Ratchet sighed and returned to his work, "More than you know, Optimus. You should get some recharge. This may take a while."
Optimus shook his helm, "I must stay awake and make certain you don't overwork."
"I'm going to let you know right now, Optimus," the medic's voice was muffled behind his welding mask. "I fully intend to work on this through the night, and you being awake isn't going to stop me. You may as well rest, while you can."
Optimus yawned, "No, that would be unfair. This is my problem; I should be the one staying up about it."
"Suit yourself," Ratchet shrugged, busy welding.
Optimus tried to stay awake, but as the hours passed of watching his friend do the same thing, his processor drifted into recharge.
When he awoke, it was morning, and Ratchet was snoozing on his work table, mumbling in his sleep.
"If I had a credit for every time...the twins...repairs," he muttered and Optimus smiled a little.
The Prime quickly stepped out of the Medbay and went to go get himself and the medic some energon. In the mess hall, he spotted Magnia and Bumblebee sitting together, talking amiably. They almost didn't seem to notice the angry stares they were receiving from most of the mess hall. Magnia glanced around suddenly, having felt optics on her, and her cheerful demeanour seemed to dim. Bumblebee placed a servo comfortingly on top of hers and she smiled at him.
They were soon joined by Prowl, Jazz, and Arcee, who laughed and talked with the couple as if they were all good friends. Optimus frowned; apparently she was winning a lot of his soldiers' sparks.
Optimus shook his helm; he had more important things to worry about than one silly little femme. Even if she had now corrupted his best friend, his son, and his second in command.
The Prime returned to the Medbay, and was surprised to find Ratchet awake, tinkering away on the Allspark container.
"You were supposed to stay in the Medbay," Ratchet grumbled, too tired to be angry.
Optimus smiled, "I brought you some energon." He deposited it on the table next to Ratchet, but the medic hardly even glanced at it.
"So close..." he muttered. "Just a few more wires and...there!" There was a whirring noise and the Allspark container began to hum.
They both stared at it and Optimus asked, "So what do we do now?"
"Theoretically I point the thing at you and it draws the Allspark out of your Matrix and into itself," Ratchet sighed. "However, there is about a 30 percent chance that it will draw both the Allspark and the Matrix into itself, which would kill you."
"Well that doesn't sound very-" the Prime broke off, clutching his spark, and collapsed on the ground, writhing uncontrollably,
"Optimus!" Ratchet yelled, completely helpless as he watched his friend's agony. "I suppose we don't have a choice then," he said grimly, and pointed the Allspark container at the twitching Prime.
There was an explosion of blue light that shattered all of the glass in the Medbay, and Optimus was thrown backwards, knocking over a few berths.
Ratchet coughed, waving the dust away from his faceplates, noticing the now glowing blue Allspark container in his servos.
"Primus," he gasped and dropped the container. He eyed it, nervous to be touching the actualAllspark, and rushed over to Optimus, "Prime? You with us?" The Prime groaned and Ratchet sighed with relief, "I'll take that as a yes"
Ratchet helped Optimus up as he shook his helm blearily, "What happened?"
"I'm a genius, that's what happened."
Optimus spotted the glowing Allspark container, "I don't know how Ratchet, but you did it; you saved me. Remind me never to doubt your expertise again."
"Don't worry, I'll be reminding you," Ratchet grinned. "A lot." He clapped a servo on his shoulder and they both stared at the Allspark, "I suppose we should be returning that to the Well?"
"Of course," Optimus nodded. "I will go ask Ultra Magnus if we may borrow his ship again."
Ratchet nodded and pointed to the container, "Could you take it with you? I know it sounds silly but I'm afraid if you leave it here I'll break it or something."
Optimus chuckled, "Certainly." He left with the Allspark and Ratchet attempted to straighten up the Medbay, grumbling about how it seemed to get destroyed nearly every month, before meeting Optimus in the docking area.
With Ratchet piloting Ultra Magnus' ship once more, they set off on a course for the Well of the Allspark.
The two bots reached their destination without much turbulence, and were soon peering into the Well hesitantly.
"Do we just throw it in?" Ratchet questioned and Optimus nodded.
"I believe so," he opened the Allspark container and gazed briefly at its contents, before dumping the Allspark over the side of the Well.
The two friends only had to wait a few moments before a sudden roar could be heard. A multitude of sparks, all different luminous colors, shot out of the Well and began dispersing to even the farthest corners of Cybertron.
As Ratchet gazed in awe, Optimus sighed happily, "It would seem Cybertron is finally fully restored."
