When we woke up later, I checked to see what time it was. I was surprised to find that it was only noon. I didn't feel tired any more, which was why I got up. I finally realized it was time to go and feed the kids again. I went up to feed them both. After they got their fill, I brought them downstairs with me.
I placed them in the play pen. I walked into the kitchen so I could start making lunch for Paul. He was always so hungry. Something you could say about Paul was that he had a big appetite. In more ways than one I might add. That's when Paul woke up.
He stood up and stretched, taking up most of the room with how big he was. He walked over to watch the kids play together in the play pen. He loved those two kids so much. It was clear to see any time he was near them or even thought about them. Paul walked over to me after watching the kids a minute. He hugged and kissed me as I made his lunch first.
"Paul Lahote? Are you happy or are you trying to distract me?" I asked him.
"Well a little of both in all honesty. It's just so hard to stay away from you. You are just too beautiful!" Paul said through small kisses and smiles that he placed to my neck and face.
"I feel the same way about you. I would like to finish lunch before this gets too out of hand you know. By the way, why were you gone for so long? What's going on? Is it the Cullen's again?" I asked.
"They," Paul said, never using the Cullen's names. "wanted to thank us for all the help we've provided them with."
"That's very sweet of them. So no more problems?" I asked.
"Nope. No more problems. Looks like we will finally be able to relax now. Just us as a family. Maybe just me and you on some romantic nights?" Paul asked, getting a little too excited for the moment.
"That's great!" I said as I turned in his grip. "Before we get too excited, why don't we start with the kids? Maybe have some good family time with them as we eat our breakfast?"
Paul smiled and chuckled a bit. He grabbed a plate and went to sit down. We watched the kids play as we ate. It was so great that we'd finally get to relax now. Ever since the Cullen's have been here, there's been so much trouble. It's kept the whole pack busy.
Now that everything seems to be calming down, everyone can go back to being together as a family. I was so excited to get to have Paul and the kids all to myself. No interruptions. No need to stay out late every night. Us at home together being a family. This is what I call the happiest endings I could've ever imagined.
