Deathgeonous: Read that part again for your answer. And thanks!
Kakarotsanmistic: Ok? And? Jokes on you, you said my story is terrible but yet, you spent time reading this story as I see that you posted your review on chapter 5. If my story is so terrible, why didn't you drop it when you thought it was going bad? (For people just reading this right now, kakarotsanmistic decided to post a review on another person's story, criticizing my work. He says "criticizing other peoples work when your story suck balls and full of self insert OK. zuce or ZUCC whatever you call him is even worse than this Goku. Zucc." First off, it's Zuce and Zuce is a girl. Second, your grammar is baby level English. Third, it's not like you can even write a story or as a matter of fact, have proper grammar. Or, or that you even published a story before, it's not like you only read DBZ crossovers and only want mindless fights with no substance to them and that you don't understand what makes a fight great. Oh wait… You sound like a whiny cunt. And also, how are my characters self-inserts? I followed the naming guidelines to the characters of each race and that none of them have the same personality as me. And how is Zuce a bad character? Like what's bad about her? You're just an ultra fanboy of DBZ and anything that strays away from the typical overpowered story is bad.
Oh, another quick side note, I will now start alternating between Zuce and Comet. And also, I'll be adding character thoughts to almost everyone now, except for Batman. Because he's Batman. This is not going to become a common theme in my story.
The next day, the Watchtower
A blue beam appears on a white teleportation pad. A diverse set of colors materializes and seven people walk out. Flash steps off the platform.
"That Instant Transmission sure did make cleaning up easy. That technique comes in handy when you're going to be late, especially to those meetings. Looking at you, Flash."
"What? I'm always-"
"No, you're not." Green Arrow and Flash continue to bicker on the pad as they walk off. Ignoring the bickering, Superman gets off the pad.
"And this is our home base."
Zuce steps off as well and the first thing she sees is an array of computers along with people wearing purple outfits typing. Some bat an eye while others are unconcerned. The room they're in is massive and it arcs. There are monitors attached to the ceiling, and they show where every superhero is in the world. Some are all over the U.S, others in Europe, etc.
Superman turns around and gives a thumbs up to a man of steel. The man covered in steel nods to the gesture and continues typing.
In the front is an arching window and she walks forward. Outside is a gorgeous view, a view that can't beat anything else. Outside is the view of Earth in all her glory. All of her green land and blue oceans. Alongside Earth are the multiple red, white, and blue stars. They shine and glimmer and twinkle within the empty void. She grips the straps on her new clothing bag. Zuce smiles cheek to cheek at the amazing view. Wow. Zuce stands there, no other words and thoughts come out, and the only sounds going on are the clanking of keyboards and the questions of Green Arrow. Her hand touches the stain-free glass, and she can't let go of her smile. Imagine the view up here.
Flashback time
A little Zuce opens the wooden door. She has on a little blue dress, but her monkey tail sticks out. Walking to her right, Nathol is sitting on a chair, staring at an orange sun. It's slowly descending on the horizon. Nathol notices the small child from behind, but he makes no sudden movement. He has on his blacksmith apron covered in ashes, smoke, all things in that forge of his. He stretches out and relaxes.
Little Zuce stands to his left and stares.
"Why are you out here? I thought you would be working."
"Champ, I like to watch the sunset."
"Why?"
"Because, it means the day has ended, but another one will begin soon."
"I don't get it..."
Nathol sighs and gets up from his comfortable position.
"It's an old tradition I made for myself. As the sun goes down and as long as I see it, it just means that I'm alive. That me being alive means I can still do what I can to this world, contribute to its society in meaningful ways. Every time I see the sunrise, I ask myself, 'What can I do today?'"
"But… I still don't get it…" He lets out a mighty chuckle.
"Hehehe, one day you will, champ. But for now, do you want to watch the sunset together?"
"Yeah…" Little Zuce crawls on Nathol's lap, and they watch the sun descend. Her head lowers and soon her eyes close. She hugs Nathol's chest, and he caresses her hair.
"Sleep tight, champ."
Flashback ends
"Wait, me? Bu-but, but-"
"It'll be fine." Flash runs off. Turning to most of the commotion, most of the members are gone except for Green Arrow. He simply face-palms and grunts.
"Screw you, Flash."
"What happened?"
"Looks like I'm your tour guide. Come on, kid." He signals and she walks from the window but not before seeking one last glimpse. Grinning, she follows him into a hallway as he points back.
"That's the HUD. We have someone on standby to teleport heroes here and there. This week, it's Steel's turn." Following the corridor, Green Arrow starts to list all of the rooms while Zuce listens. She stays silent as he continues to babble on. A few of the superheroes eye her before returning back to their business and she sees the variety of superheroes along with their costumes. Seemingly to be the entertainment room, there's a girl that has on a blue mask only showing eyes, mouth, and nose. Her costume is blue consisting of a big white star above her chest with two mini-stars on each arm. She sports a red belt, gloves, and boots. Her top piece doesn't cover her stomach though, and she has on blue and white shorts.
She's talking to a man essentially wearing a purple cat-suit. They notice Ollie and the new girl and wave.
They both return the gesture before walking off.
"Was that a new girl?" Wildcat grins and rubs his hands.
"Ohhh hoho, if so, I can't wait to see the initiation. I love me a good rookie beat-down. Who do you think she'll pick?"
But the American girl shrugs.
"Probably Black Canary. Almost nobody stupid goes for the other choice first thing when they start out here. Even if they do, they tend to give up after like three minutes I would say?"
"And that's where it gets good. Ain't nothing sweeter than seeing a bit of domination! Come on while this old geezer still has some life in him." The old boxer bolts towards the elevator as Stargirl eagerly follows behind.
Back with Green Arrow and Zuce, they are still continuing their tour of the place. They are now in an elevator traveling down. The elevator room is circular with a blue floor and wall.
"So, any questions yet? You've been quiet all this time."
"Sorry, just taking it all in. It's a big shift, and this is all happening within almost half a day. Where are we heading now?"
"Eh, it happens. And we're about to enter the living quarters." As soon as he finishes, the elevator door opens. It's a long hallway with many rooms left and right. They walk down.
"These rooms are soundproof along with being durable. They also have their full-size bathrooms along with a TV. Also, there's a nice view of Earth in each room. Consider this a home a few hundred miles above home. Just miles and miles of space between us and Earth." Green Arrow grins at his own pun and when he turns around, he sees Zuce isn't responding. She turns to Green Arrow.
"Which one is my room?"
But Green Arrow shrugs.
"I don't know. I'm pretty sure that's what the ot-" But a door opens to their right. Green Arrow's comms activate.
"That's her room." Ollie grumbles.
"You did that on purpose, Bats." But no response.
Zuce walks on in and sees the room to its fullest. A king size bed is near the window along with a work table. The work table has a night lamp to the side and a leather chair. To the right when first entering is a door, probably the bathroom and to the left is a trashcan. But that's it for this room. All it needs to breathe life is for someone to live here and decorate it.
"I'm guessing this is my room?"
Green Arrow nods. Zuce sets down her clothes bag near the bed and sits on the bed. Her hand grazes the blankets and pillows. Just like when I first came to Conton… Green Arrow walks over to a panel near the window and presses a red button. Out of the windows come metal shutters and they block out the stars and space. But he presses the green button, and the shutters retract.
"This is how you open and close them. Next to this is the thermostat. It's about seventy-four degrees right now, but I leave it up to you if you want to be Mr. Freeze or Fire or me, who enjoys the nice normal temperature. But we got to finish the tour."
"Alright." Zuce gets off the bed and follows Green Arrow out. They take the elevator back to the previous floor and get off. The elevator dings as the door closes. Green Arrow directs their tour to a room with multiple tables along with chairs. There are multiple long tables and in those tables are trays of food. Some of the heroes place food on their trays and sit.
"Pretty obvious what this is. This is open about 24/7. Heroes go in and out from all over the world."
As on cue, a whistle is blown as a beautiful lady struts in. She has a blue leather jacket with a black corset and grey stockings. Green Arrow grins cheek to cheek as his love is walking over. Black Canary stops in front and examines Zuce.
"Welcome back, Arrow. And who is this?" Still in a joyous mood, Green Arrow steps aside.
"Pretty bird, this is Comet; she's new and just joined the League." Black Canary hmms while Zuce eyes Green Arrow. She still continues to examine the new recruit. She extends an open hand.
"Well, it's good to meet you. I'm Black Canary." Zuce shakes her hand.
"Hi, it's nice to meet you." Black Canary releases first. Green Arrow joins by her side and faces Zuce. He lets out a big yawn and stretches.
"Well, that about finishes the tour of the place. I'm about to hit the hay. See you gals at the crack of dawn." But Black Canary elbows him in the chest and he folds.
"Ow! What?!" But she eyes him with annoyance as he seems to have forgotten one important detail. She pounds her fist into her hand.
"Ohhhh." All the while, Zuce blinks as she's lost in what they're talking about.
"W-what's going on?" Green Arrow rubs the spot she hit and turns towards Zuce.
"That's right… that. We have one more place, specifically for new recruits. Follow us."
All three of them get off the elevator and step in where there's a bunch of weights, benches, punching bags, etc. On the other side is a door along with a huge mirror next to it. The door leads to a massive tiled room and in it is a girl with blonde long hair wearing almost exactly Superman's suit except for the exposed stomach, blue skirt with a golden belt, and gold lining across her cape. She is tapping her foot on the floor and smiles as she sees them.
There are also several people standing by the mirror, specifically the two people they met in the entertainment room. Behind them is a console with many buttons along with levers. More of the people include Batman, Flash, and a few others she has seen. They are all eyeing Zuce as she walks in. What's going on?
"Totally forgot about this room. Fighting robots took it out of me to remember everything single detail of the Watchtower. This is where some of us hone our skills through practice, improving our bodies, etc. In that room, where Supergirl is, is the combat simulation room." Zuce glances around as she gets closer to the other superheroes. One of the most massive rooms she has ever seen before as it's filled with everything training related. Are all these superheroes super-rich? If I had seen this and presented to Bulma, she could have created it immediately. Well, maybe she would.
They reach the other heroes. They introduce themselves left to right: Wildcat, Stargirl, Atom, and Captain Marvel. Wildcat grins.
"Nice to meet you, short-stuff. Welcome to the Justice League. So, who are you going to fight?" Zuce blinks as he finishes that statement. Her ears perk up at 'fight' and she blinks once more.
"Excuse me?"
"You know, are you going to fight Black Canary or Supergirl there?" Wildcat points his thumb towards the waiting Kryptonian and the now known Supergirl waves. Zuce returns the gesture as she continues to look at the other heroes. She's still quiet as she's still confused.
"Wait… I'm lost here. What's going on here?" Flash turns around.
"We have new recruits fight against either Black Canary or Supergirl to gauge their powers and help them train. It's like a test to see how far you are in using your skills and powers. Think of it as a friendly spar." Zuce makes the connection as she goes 'ahhhh'. Wildcat nods and lets out another big grin.
"Well? Choose already! I've been bored beating down on the common bozos, and I want some real action! Give it to me already!" But Captain Marvel can't seem to hold it in.
"Oh man, I haven't seen one of these since I joined the League. I heard these are entertaining to watch!" Stargirl elbows him.
"Same here. This will be fun." With all these members excited to see the match, Zuce dusts it off. Looking at Supergirl, then Black Canary, and then Supergirl, then back to Black Canary, she shrugs and points.
"I'll guess… I'll fight her?" Some of them seem surprised; surely, many would have gone with the other choice and so should she. But she chose her… why? Stargirl steps up. Her choice shocks everyone.
"You sure?" Zuce nods. The door opens. They all turn to Batman who signals to the room. He doesn't even turn around as they all want a response.
"If she chose her, she chose." Batman continues on typing. With that cue, Green Arrow leads Zuce to the door.
"Come on, people. Let's go this show on the road! I think you all wanted to see a match today!" This ramps up everyone, not Batman's though. He's Batman.
Walking in, she faces the familiar colors of the red and blue. Supergirl cracks her knuckles as she smiles. Every once in a while, someone would choose to her when they're new to the place. Dinah and Kal-El taught her to pick up familiar traits and attitudes. Usually, they're cocky and bold or they just want to test their ability to the fullest. But to Supergirl, she's not noticing these traits with this rookie. She chose her because it was the rush of the moment decision. All the more to see what this rookie has in store. Kara pulls a leg back.
"You're pretty brave to fight me. Most new recruits would have chosen Black Canary. I'm Supergirl. What's your name?" She finishes her final stretch and sets her leg back down.
"I'm Zu- Comet, I'm Comet."
"Alright then, Comet. Since you're new here, I'll let you choose the environment, if you like. It's a friendly gesture." Before she shows Batman and Black Canary the training she's been doing. Her voice echoes cockiness as she's going to show the rookie how things work around here. Being strong isn't useful if they're not skilled. Strength, power, agility, etc, all of these abilities need to be honed in order to be useful, lest they be uncontrolled and cause harm to others. Training with Dinah has revealed the truth to her and she intends to use it on others.
"Choose an environment? What do you mean by that?"
"Like the desert, like the ocean, like the city, anything that can be a setting for us to fight."
"Uh… I don't know… how about… uh… a plain green field?"
"There we go…" She nods to Batman. Suddenly, the room changes to a simple green field with a bright blue sky and yellow sun. There are flower bushes all around and along with it is middle-tall grass. A mighty gust blows and their hairs flap along with Supergirl's hair and Zuce's Gi vest. The grass blows along with the strong wind and bugs on the leaves fly.
The sun shines on them. The tip of her boot taps the ground several times, and her foot leaves an imprint, the size of a small orange. With the sun, it's just like the normal sun. She bounces and them, stretching while doing so. Her feet feel the hard dirt along with the grass. It feels just like a real-life field. This… this feels so realistic…
"Hell, I'll even let you throw the first punch. But do me a favor, don't hold back."
"No thanks. You can have it."
Wow, she's must be new to combat. When Batman told her and Dinah that they had a really new recruit coming in, she didn't expect her to be this new to the technology of this planet. It's simple to explain and it's easy to figure out just by the name itself. Also when someone offers to have the other person throw the first punch, take it. Use anything to have an advantage against anybody, well, almost anything.
A loud buzzer sound goes off.
"Alright! Listen here, folks, especially you short stuff! These are the rules of training! The match will be called when either side gives up or that it has gone too far! It is just you and the other person fighting to see who comes up top! Frankly, my money is on Supergirl! And that's it! The match will begin in 5! 4!"
Zuce gets into her fighting stance. Right foot forward, knee out, left leg back and foot planted horizontally, left arm in front and right arm to about chest area. And bend the knees for a good posture.
"3!"
"Those are some cool visors. Too bad, they'll be broken by the time I'm done." But it doesn't even faze Comet. Her breathing is at a normal pace along with her heartbeat. She simply tightens her fists. But it does seem that got on her nerves a bit. There's just a pair of visors, that's all. What's the sentimental value behind them?
Supergirl moves into a boxing position. Left hand in front while the right is in the back, right foot ahead of left foot. Her body shifts to the left. Zuce gauges her posture.
"2! 1! AND BEGIN!"
Supergirl immediately charges in with an absolute madman grin. She has her right fist cocked back, and Zuce readies as she inches closer and closer. Faster than a speeding bullet, she's above Comet in a matter of less than a second; her shadow covers up to Comet's stomach, but Comet doesn't blink. Her eyes focus in on Supergirl. Supergirl's eyes widen as Comet can follow her speed, but she doesn't falter. Supergirl brings down the hammer! But with Zuce, Zuce catches the punch and with her other hand, quickly grabs Supergirl by the elbow. By the time Kara realizes, she's already doomed. Zuce chugs over her own body and slams Supergirl into the ground. A great dirt wave explodes as a result and it picks off the flowers. A huge dust cloud emits.
As the dirt falls back to the ground, a silhouette appears. As if by coincidence, another huge gust of wind blows the smoke away. Comet still stands. In front is Supergirl in a crater of dirt. Her eyes widen but not for along as she zooms out of it and into the skies. Her eyes squint while Comet simply readies herself once more.
"Lucky shot… I'm surprised you can keep up with me. Now, no more nice girl." But Comet doesn't respond to that praise. She continues to silently stare. From high above the sky, she rockets in with both of her fists out. Comet dashes out of the way as Supergirl comes crashing in. Another huge smoke cloud emits but doesn't stay for long as Supergirl flies through the smoke. Comet slides on her heels to turn around and cups her hands as Supergirl is charging towards her. She lets out a multitude of energy balls fly and Supergirl flies left as she sees the attack. She flies and a trail is left behind. Even with the numbers, the balls don't hit her though as her speed is too fast. She smirks.
"Try to actually hit me! Or am I just too fast for you?!" Flash sneezes.
The barrage still continues, but she loops around and over them as she flies on down. As noticing a perfect opportunity, she lowers and bolts for Comet.
She darts in rather quickly to hit Comet and with little time to spare, Comet surrounds her body with a white aura and rockets in with her right fist cocked back. The two collide and a huge shockwave emits. It pushes and rips out the bushes of flowers. Supergirl quickly follows up with a left jab, but Comet has her left arm up, and it blocks the shot. Supergirl quickly tries to jab again, but this time, she cocks her head back as well. She unleashes jab, which results in the same block. But in a flash, her head comes down. It catches the rookie by surprise as the head-butt connects. She cries out before the force sends Comet flying back. Supergirl grabs her leg before she gets far and spins her around with tornado speed. Letting going, Comet's body zooms across the field.
Supergirl can hear the loud cheers of Wildcat and sees the smile of Dinah. Batman just stares.
However, her body flips back to its feet and she slides back. As she soon comes to a stop, she wipes off the scratch on her forehead. She also waves her hand as it stings a bit. All Supergirl gets is a tsk. She stands and glares. Supergirl spreads out her arms and walks forth a bit.
"What? You plan on giving up? I was starting to have some fun, don't quit now!" But still, nothing from the new recruit. Man! She's quiet as hell! Instead, her body gets back into her fighting position. She stomps the ground with her right foot, using that, she propels forth. Supergirl can't stop but smile as Comet bolts to meet up with her.
"That's more like it!" The thrill of battle, the smell of sweat beading down, the pain of clashing, all of this excites Kara as she decides to charge forward. A red trail is left in her wake as she prepares to clash with Comet. She has her left fist extended out with her right cocked back. As they inch closer and closer, she switches and her right shoots up but Comet, Comet places both of her hands on her extended arm and launches herself above and behind Kara. While in mid-air and upside down, she holds out both hands and launches little blue comets at Kara. Supergirl turning around sees the hundreds of comets coming her way, but it's too late to dodge as they already begun to crash down. She gets hit by several, and they knock her back slightly. These attacks aren't at their fullest potential. Supergirl puts her arms up and firmly plant her feet as the assault continues. Big smoke cloud erupts from the impacts on Supergirl and from the ground. The area around Supergirl is soon covered in heavy dense smoke.
Keeping up the cosmic barrage, Comet twists clockwise to be upright and presses even further with the rocket barrage. The moment she touches the ground with her, she rockets forward with her left fist. A white trail streaks across the field and Comet reaches into the smoke, cutting and dissipating it with the wind. But she is met with a fist square on the nose. Her head recoils back as a blue sleeved arm cuts through the smoke and grabs her leg as her body flails back. The smoke dissipates to reveal a mildly scratched Supergirl.
"That's not going to work on me! I can see through your smoke!"
With her leg in hand, she slams Comet repeatedly across the green plains. Left, middle, right, behind, rinse and repeat. She slams Come face first on almost all of them. Comet braces by holding her arms out front. As she's in the air after the sixth slam, she manages to kick her boot to Supergirl's chest. Flipping through the air, Comet stares through her visors as she lands.
Blood oozes out from her nose, and she wipes it off. Blood is the least of her worries against fighting this Kryptonian. But the worst happens; a large crack appears and takes off most of the right lens, then the left lens, leaving only the middle. Not even a few seconds later, the entire thing falls apart. Supergirl can only smile. Now there's a full picture of the rookie with her black pupils.
The rookie stares at the broken pieces on the ground. Supergirl stands mighty proud at her achievement.
"You're not going to beat me if you're holding back; I can sense that in you. You can go all out. This room was designated to handle blows from even Superman and Doomsday! Make me come at you full power! Those visors broke because-"
Comet's head flicks up and there's only one word to describe the look in her eyes, her facial expression. Animosity. Supergirl stops in her tracks. Animosity is just oozing out of this rookie.
This was supposed to be a friendly spar, right? That this was to test their abilities? Then why the attitude from one of the trainers? Was she like this before or after beating up so many rookies? Supergirl merely scoffs at Comet's attitude. From meekness to now seriousness, why the sudden shift over a pair of visors? She merely accomplished what she said she was going to do.
Zuce positions her feet in equal distance apart from each other. Electricity suddenly forms around her body as she begins to shake. What looks to be golden essence is seeping out of Comet. Her hair, oh god, her black hair is turning gold along with her eyes turning teal. The gold essence soon becomes a golden aura surrounding her. There are lightning trails heading right towards her as the entire room is vibrating. Supergirl firmly steadies as the room is experiencing a man-made earthquake. Her hair blows back like crazy as the room is filled with F-5 tornado winds.
KRAKA-KOOOOOM
Despite having clear blue skies, lightning cracks near Comet's feet as well. The trails of lightning reach their destination and spiral around Comet as she begins to have a starry gold glow. She clenches her entire body as she digs deeper and deeper. Her head tilts down and beneath her, are the pieces of the broken visors.
"And now as a friend, I give it to Zuce." I'm sorry about the glasses, Sarah… Despite the little time I spent with you and your family, over the years I've been alive; I have been learning how to cherish even the smallest of things. Even when you slapped me as well. More than once might I add. You guys look up to me to be a superhero so; I'll do you guys proud! Zuce smiles as the gold aura expands. It reaches up to the heavens and around the fake playground.
The aura bathes Supergirl in a golden light. This is Zuce's might, be it her brightest light, she shines like a star through the night. This battle is her fight, so let her glow bright!
Her ever-changing eyes flick to Supergirl, and Kara sees the grin. Let me have it all! She raises her hands in the air with the elbows at a forty-five-degree angle.
"HOOOOOOOOOLAAAAAAAAAA-" From just the sounds only, the room vibrates to an intense amount. Supergirl's body feels the pressure emitting. She can't help but smirk. She sees the spike in Comet's body. Her scream makes Kara tingle as it fills the void of space.
"It's about time you got serious! And here I thought I was going to have to force more out of you!"
But Zuce continues. Her hair turns gold and her eyes teal. The lightning strikes increase tremendously as they are littered throughout the simulation. The oceans of Earth despite being hundreds of miles away are violently crashing against each other. The clouds are being drawn out of the atmosphere, and they dissipate as they reach the edge of the world.
Supergirl takes to the air as the ground is no longer feasible to stand on. Kara sweats as she tries to steady herself through the shaking. How much power does she have? It seems limitless! Zuce's hair starts to extend and extend! Her body expands in size and muscles. Sparks crackle immensely!
"-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" The shout of power cries down as her hair explodes!
The shaking stops. The sea is at peace. The clouds are returning back to normal. Supergirl lands back on the ground. And all that's left, all that is Zuce in all her golden glory. A gold aura surrounds her with lightning cracking all around. Her hair has grown exponentially and is now to the middle of her back. Her demeanor would be on equal footing as Batman's as Supergirl shudders. But there was no breeze. Only the stare of Zuce. Her teal eyes shine and reflect the sun's beams. Part of her hair sticks out to her forehead, and it's angled to the left.
"I call that one heck of a change. But is it going to change the tide of this battle? Also, I wasn't going all well. This was just to get you prepared for what's about to come! I would be ready for what's about to come right here and now!" Come on, show me what you got!
Even with her new transformation, she doesn't talk. Zuce pops her neck and knuckles. This time, she has her right fist out and the other in, and the same goes for her feet. She positions sideways and glares at Supergirl. Supergirl holds her hand out and motions her fingers. 'Come at me'.
With that, Zuce stomps with her right foot and vanishes. Supergirl quickly extends her hand and a fist booms into her palm. The collision destroys the grass and flowers behind Supergirl. Supergirl's eyes widen as she grits her teeth. With her other free arm, she punches the other fist zooming towards the face. An almost similar result except for the ground explodes beneath them. Zuce lands a good booming blow to Supergirl's stomach while she's fending off the other two attacks. Her boot plants and digs into her stomach. The kick forces Supergirl to spit out and sends her flying back, holding her stomach. Her boots slide as she recoils back.
Zuce is already directly above Supergirl by the time she glances up and she lands a good right-hook. Supergirl's mouth spits out more saliva as her face contorts to the sheer power behind that punch. But Supergirl stands her ground. Still, with the fist to her face, she charges forward and retaliates back with an uppercut. It hits Zuce square in the stomach. She grunts to the blow and spits out as well. Gritting her teeth, she endures the impact and rams her head into Supergirl's. She's sent flying back for only a few milliseconds before recovering.
Supergirl's head recoils back but immediately snaps back with red eyes. Two huge red beams shoot out but Zuce puts two fingers to her forehead and vanishes. The beams pass through her afterimage and into the ground where it explodes. Supergirl scopes the battlefield, but no Comet. But no later than that, does she reappear behind Supergirl with her left leg golf-swinging. Supergirl turns around with a fist ready only to be met by Comet's leg, and it connects with her cheek! She immediately crashes on the other side of the field, and a huge smoke appears.
Zuce charges in, leaving a huge golden trail behind. But in that smoke, two red eyes appear. They spark before cutting through the smoke and straight for Zuce. With no time to dodge, Zuce puts her arms out front and the heat visions make contact. Still, Zuce drives forward but a fury of punches dissipates the smoke. Zuce continues to put her guard up despite the heavy blows. A good right-hook catches her in the face once more and she's launched back, while a red trail is coming close on her. They cock back their right fist and push forward. Their two fists meet only to be followed up by a left, and simply a barrage of punches, kicks, anything related to mixed martial arts.
Zuce grins and Kara returns with a smirk as well.
They bob and weave and match each other's powers blow for blow. They're trading blows for blows now. Zuce gets hit in the stomach and in return, gets a good straight punch to Supergirl's nose. She zooms in and double-punches Comet in the stomach but is slammed in the back. Zuce knees Kara in the stomach and once more, while gritting her pain and spit away, Supergirl manages to headbutt her square in the nose; blood drips but Comet wipes it off.
Zuce lets out a flurry of leg kicks, and Supergirl holds out her arms. Each kick creates a mini-boom as Supergirl holds her posture. Comet manages to connect one to her back. She drives Supergirl to the ground and the ground explodes. Comet's holding Supergirl's left arm out, but her eyes glow red. Comet's eyes widen as her heat vision goes off. Sticking her left arm out, it hits there and drives Comet back.
Supergirl booms out and zooms in with a double-punch to Comet's stomach, and she coughs out spit. She drives far and soon they hit the wall. A crater is left with Comet in it. But gritting her teeth and moving past the pain; she pops a knee straight for her chin. A boom is created as the hit connects and Supergirl is knocked up. She bounces off the ceiling, then the ground, and then to the other wall.
Comet pops off the wall and cups her hands together. A blue orb forms and soon fills in the space between the hands, and it starts to spin.
"KAME-"
Supergirl pops off the wall as well, but she gets on one knee to catch her breath. But Comet's voice echoes throughout and looking up, it's not good that she has a blue orb.
"-HAME-" Not taking anything chances, her eyes shine red and she gets up. Her body levitates. She moves her head back and digs deep.
"-HAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
Comet extends her hands out and what follows is a giant destruction beam; it hits up to the ceiling and heads straight for Kara. It destroys all the grass and flowers in its path; not even the ground is safe. It consumes all. Supergirl bolts in and unleashes her heat vision. It's a quarter of the size of the Kamehameha and she plants her feet into the ground. Her beams are slowing the attack, but her feet are sliding.
Instead of continuing her heat vision, she zooms into the blast. The blast creates a bolting silhouette as she powers through the pain and the knockback. Her body is telling her to stop, to get out, but she pushes forward. Nearing the origin, she pops out with a fist cocked.
Comet doesn't seem fazed as Supergirl forces her way out of the blast. She quickly drops the attack, and it dies out. Her fist glows gold and she charges in.
"ORAAAAAAA!"
"HAAAAAAAAAAA!
They launch their final punches. They connect! A huge shockwave causes the field to fizz out and return back to the tiled room. Some panels pop off with an electric spark.
The two warriors stand there, still as a mountain. They are covered top to bottom in bruises and scratches along with some torn clothing. They don't budge from their spots while their fists are in each other. Zuce's golden transformation drops, and her body reverts back.
Supergirl lets out a little chuckle and withdraws her fist and Zuce follow-suits. They stand there as proud warriors and nod to each other. Supergirl gives a thumbs-up.
"Good job…"
"Hehe…"
Comet's body crumbles and falls back. Supergirl realizes this and catches her before she hits the ground.
"Whoa there!"
Supergirl heaves Comet's arm around her neck and has her body touch hers. She lets out a smile.
"Thanks… You did well yourself. I say you won that one."
"Nah, you did…"
"It was my mistake in underestimating you. You won."
"But your little golden thing right there, you won most of our clashes. You won."
"You're the one to make me snap. First thing in battle is to keep calm and to have control. You won."
"I'm the one testing you out. I have all the authority. You won."
Zuce lets out a chuckle.
"No way that's an option. You won, case closed."
"Fine… but answer this question. Why didn't you talk but only when you transformed and did that little blue energy mcbob?"
"It… takes away the essence of fighting. It just annoys me that people like to blabber on. Nothing thrills me more than talking not with mouths, but with punches and kicks. Now, let's get out of here."
Supergirl holds her stomach with her free hand. They are both littered with bruises and scratches.
"That we can agree on."
Supergirl holsters Zuce and they begin to walk. They leave behind a damaged combat room with about seven craters on the walls and one crater in the ceiling. But they stumble on the way to the door. Still, they push forward. The door on the other side opens; Stargirl and Wildcat bolt through. They take each other warriors into their arms.
"Phewie! That was somethin'! You have no idea of how badly I wanted to join in and fight the both of you!"
"We tried to get you two to stop when she changed, but the console was fried and going in there was not a viable option. But I have to say, that was some spectacle! Good job, to the both of you!"
"Yeah, yeah, just get us to the medical wing already." Zuce chuckles at Kara's sass despite being injured.
They walk into the other room and in there is a sparky console that gives off a burst of electricity. Batman doesn't look at too well-pleased as he continues to stare at the combat room. That's money coming out of his pocket.
"Wait, just get something out of my right pouch and it-" But Zuce seizes up as she begins to protest.
"Come on now, you're much worse for wear than Supergirl is."
Wildcat and Stargirl set them on gurneys despite more protest from Comet. They grab the handles and begin to push towards a huge elevator to the left.
"Wait." The two heroes turn around to see Batman walking up to Zuce. She lets out a half smile as he moves aside her vest and into her brown pouch. He pulls out two green beans. Wildcat, Stargirl, Canary, and Captain Marvel all stare as he holds out the beans. Captain Marvel can't hold it in and starts to giggle.
"Hehe, what's that going to do? It's so tiny!" Strength of Hercules, Power of Zeus, and a mind of a thirteen-year-old Billy Batson. Batman simply ignores him and pops one into each of the injured warriors' mouth. They chew and swallow.
"Thanks, Batman."
And bang, they are healed just like that. Supergirl's eyes flare open as she doesn't feel tired and injured anymore. She touches herself, and no injury is there anymore. She flies off the gurney and above the heroes.
"I feel great again!" Landing, she twirls while one of her mentors is in awe.
For Comet, she tries simply get off the bed but Batman stops her.
"What?" He reveals a needle, an alcohol wipe, and a bandage.
"For medical research. In case those beans ever run out, we need your blood type and how your cellular structure works." Always come and be prepared in advance. And for others things...
"Oh… ok."
She extends her neck, and Batman disinfects and jabs it in. He pulls back on the handle and the tube is filled with Saiyan blood. Ejecting it out, Batman places the needle into one of his many pouches in that utility belt. He bandages the spot. Turning away, he walks into the huge elevator. The doors open automatically and the doors close as he walks in.
"Supergirl, take over for Green Arrow and help Comet around. Induction starts in twenty minutes." The last things they see are the white eyes in his cowl. And he's gone. Comet and Supergirl take another elevator, and they're gone as well. Black Canary steps forward to Green Arrow.
"I have sooo many questions right now."
All of the heroes who haven't experienced it all look in shock at the fast recovery. What in the hell was that all about? Someone better start explaining. They all look to Flash and Green Arrow as they aren't surprised at all. They can see all of their stares, and they do not like it. Barry bolts.
"Sorry, Oll-" But trips a second later. Around his feet is an adhesive glue and he's stuck to the floor. But in that glue is a green arrow.
"Not this time, Barry! You get the boring job!" Ollie is already pressing the button to go up and just in time, the doors open. He tips his hoodie as the doors close. The last thing they see of him is his big cheek to cheek smile as the door closes on him. Flash sighs and turns to face the questions.
"Got me this time…"
Medical Wing
Batman twists the microscope to zoom into the blood cells. With his free hand, he types into a keyboard some notes. Blood type's similar to that of humans and act in the same way. Cells should die out soon as they have not been circulating for quite some time now.
But, but a few of the blood cells start to grow. This stops Batman in his typing as he dials the microscope even more. A few more blood cells mutate, then, rapidly, it's the entire sample. He pokes one of the cells, and the knife takes a bit more force to cut.
Batman hmms as he types more into his computer. An interesting study of the Saiyan species. In the background is a scan going off for the Senzu bean.
Living Quarters
"This is my room!" They walk in and- wow, just wow. To say that it's highly decorated is an understatement. To say that it's in essences a girl's dream might be hitting the mark. It is rather a teenage girl's wet dream. The room is pink. Posters of boy bands and female singers are littered throughout the walls. The bed has a purple blanket and pillow. Her table is ocean blue with some flowery decorations. Zuce walks in and stops blinking. Whoa…
Supergirl crashes down on her bed and it poofs. But she immediately gets back up.
"What was that thing you and I ate? I'm not hungry nor am I tired. Usually, I grab a bite after a match, but I'm not feeling it today…"
Zuce sighs as it's about the third time she has to tell it and the third time the writer has to type this out.
"Senzu bean, heals completely, and you're full for about 10 days."
"Oh, that's cool." She moves over and pats a spot. But Zuce raises an eyebrow.
"What? Why do you keep on hitting that spot?"
"Come on, I want to get to know you better! Are you that much of an alien to pretty much everything here?"
"Oh… sorry." Zuce sits on the spot Kara has been patting down and Supergirl leans back on her bed-frame.
"So where do you come from?"
"Planet Vegeta, how about you?"
"Krypton. How's Planet Vegeta? Do you plan to visit every once in a while?"
Comet stares out at the stars. Out in space, the stars seem to formulate a planet with arcs of land with huge chunks of water. Next to that planet is one where there's less water and more landmass. She blinks and the stars disperse.
"It's… it's gone. I'm one of its survivors. Superman told me earlier I'm from an alternate reality, one where your technology can't reach. I'm stuck here… I joined because this reminds me of my former job… How about you? How's your planet." She stares back at Kara as she finishes. Kara sucks it in as she realizes what Comet's saying. Shit…
"My planet… it was destroyed as well. I'm sorry."
"Yeah, I am too..."
A silence sits in between the two as they glare away. Comet taps her fingers on the blanket while Supergirl twiddles her thumbs. She bites her upper lip as the silence continues. They share a glare before quickly glancing down. Orphans seem to be attracted together and share their pain together. Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, and many more, they all seek to prevent anything like Crime Alley from happening ever again. Ugh, damnit! I didn't want her to go that far! But it's my fault for asking her that question! I already said I'm sorry, but what else can I do… those visors…
"Hey, about those visors, I'm sorry for what I did to them."
Comet shares a quick glance before staring at the starry space.
"Why did you want to break them? That wasn't nice. They were a gift."
"That was the point of stating my goal. I wanted a reaction out of you and also it plays a bit of a psychological trick. It makes me seem cocky and undermines you… It helps in trying to gain self-confidence if you get what I mean. And I'm truly sorry that they did break." Slowly but surely, Comet nods.
"You owe me a pair." She waves it off.
"I can have Batman create new ones which are more durable and able to take a beating."
"You can?"
Kara presses her comms.
"Hey, Batman, I was wondering if you could create Comet's visors. I feel terrible for breaking them in the fight. I'm sure those were to also hide her identity as well."
But there's only radio silence.
"Thanks, Batman."
Letting go of the earpiece, Comet stares with a puzzled expression.
"Just like that?"
"Yup."
Kara pats a spot next to her while she has Comet's glare. Comet crawls to her spot and plots besides her. Their bodies are nearly touching as Comet leans against the bed-frame. Kara grabs the remote and presses a red button. The TV flares to life with a brown mouse buffing his way through whatever the blue pussycat throws. Damn! That mouse is high on steroids if he can tank all that. Comet tries to but fails to hide a smile at the silliness.
And Kara smiles at her smiling. Yes! They relax and continue the episode. Kara brings her knees up, and she cuddles them with her arms. Comet places her hands behind head and extends her legs out.
"Hey, I have a few questions about that fight. Do you not talk at all during fights because there's going to be a lot of talking for things like teamwork, coordination?"
Comet glances up. She hmms. And she shrugs.
"How should I go about it?"
Kara shares a shrug as well.
"I don't know?"
The two scratch their chins and Kara releases a small laugh as she sees them both acting in the same way. Comet glares at a now laughing Supergirl.
"What?"
"Sorry, but we both scratched our chin when we were in our thinking mode."
"Really? Huh…"
"Maybe you could talk when you're on a team and not talk when you're solo?"
She raises an eyebrow before shrugging.
"Sure, that's a good idea, thanks Supergirl." Alright! Just keep this ball rolling!
"How old are you, if I may ask?"
"17, and you?"
"18."
Wow, I thought she would older; she definitely looks older than me.
Comet chuckles as the brown mouse whacks the tiny blue cat with a flyswatter. The episode closes out with 'That's all, folks!' Kara turns off the TV, and they both glare at each other. Kara lets out a small smile while Comet half-laughs.
"That was… fun."
"Agreed, so, what do you like to do?"
"Usually, I hang out my friends, and we would go out to eat or have a friendly spar. Sometimes, we go out into the town and have fun there. I've been getting into ice-skating." Her eyes light up and she smiles. Sweet!
"Really? A bunch of my friends and I are going out to Metropolis today after your induction, do you want to join us? Ice-skating is in our plan."
Comet shrugs.
"Sure…" Supergirl glances at the clock and it's almost five minutes until her induction.
"I'll make sure to tell them. Actually… as much I would love to hear about you, I think it's almost time for you to be induced, come on! We can finish this later!" Supergirl bounces off the bed and bolts for the door. As she turns around, she sees that Comet's clothes are a bit torn. She scans her clothes as well and they're roughly in the same condition. Comet stops in her tracks as Kara isn't moving.
"What now?"
"Clothes. I suppose you don't have a spare suit…"
Comet scans her clothes, and she shrugs it off. Extending two hands, a bright yellow light engulfs the two. Supergirl closes her eyes as the light overcomes her but soon the light dies. Reopening them, the first thing she sees is Comet, but her clothes. Her clothes don't have holes and tears in them. Kara looks down as well; her clothes are good as new. She steps aside as she checks herself even more. Comet, on the other hand, leaves the room. She turns around as Kara's still.
"Come on, let's go now."
"R-right."
Oh man, what else can she do?
Kara exits the room before a red blur approaches them. Flash stops as he's in front of them. He has on a pair of visors before tilting down them to eye the both of them.
"Someone order a new pair of visors? I've got to say, these do look cool." He grins.
"As you all know, this type of work takes courage, skill, teamwork, and most importantly it takes heart. Each one of you is here today because you represent the values today and will continue to throughout the future. Today marks a special day. Today, we have a person who wishes to embody these values. Please step forward."
The room is filled with superheroes as they all stare. Some smile, some wait as the induction continues. Comet steps up. She waves to the crowd of superheroes.
"Hi."
"This is Comet. She's new to Earth, but she can speak perfectly good English, despite coming from a different world. I never understood how that works out, but I have to say it's quite super that we have a common language." The crowd laughs and groans. Kal-El simply has a big smirk. "We stand here today to introduce Comet into the Justice League. Now, Comet, lift your right hand and reply as I ask you these questions." Comet does so.
"Do you solemnly swear that you protect not only Earth but everywhere else to the best of your abilities?"
"I do."
"Do you solemnly swear that you will fight for peace, and justice, and the truth?"
"I do."
"Do you solemnly swear that everything you fight will be for the betterment of humanity?"
"I do."
"And so, in the power invested in me and the others, we welcome you to the Justice League." The crowd applauses as Superman grabs her hand and raises them. A few whistles go off as they continue. Batman walks over and opens hands. In his right, there's a small grey communication device and in his left are her visors.
"Your comms. Comms go in the ear. You'll be able to communicate to the Watchtower and other members by a push of a button. And those visors are refined with the materials stronger than that of the combat room. Try not to have these broken…" A hint of 'the materials cost more than what you can make in several lifetimes'. Comet takes the device and sticks the device in her ear. She grins as she's ready.
Afterward
Zuce shakes hands with Donna Troy and Dr. Light. They walk off as Captain Marvel walks on it. He spreads his arms and puts a joyous facial expression. He extends a hand, and she shakes it.
"Congrats! Welcome to the team! We never properly met but I was watching your fight with Supergirl. Man, have I been missing out! So, who would you say won?"
"Supergirl, she… uh… she got me good. I underestimated her abilities and charged in headfirst." Kara smiles off in the distance as she listens to Donna.
"If you ever want a rematch with her, tell me. I want to watch that again!" Before she can respond, Captain Marvel is already running off to another group of heroes. She simply sighs. Seeing Supergirl with her friends, Zuce walks over. Kara smiles as she sees Comet walking to them.
"Hey."
Avdol's house
She scratches Scooby's head as the TV goes off. On screen is a man killing a bunch of henchmen in an art museum. The man throws his empty pistol at one of the henchmen's head before killing him and the guy behind him with another pistol. To the right is a long desk with pictures of Avdol and supposedly her friends. Suu, Zuu, Wuu, Mollusc, and Gastro, they're all smiling while eating ice cream in a picture and another has the gang ice-skating.
Avdol turns off the TV, and it goes black. She pushes forward, and Scooby jumps off and to the ground. She walks to the kitchen and grabs his bowl. A large bag sits on a large drawer, and she grabs that. Pouring the food, she sets the bowl down, and Scooby chows down.
Avdol opens the fridge.
"Hmmm, there's some left-over meat. I could make a steak or a burger. I'll go-"
But the doorbell rings.
Walking and opening the door, it's Suu.
"SUU!" Avdol jumps and bear-hugs the Majin. Poor Suu has the air sucked out, and she's turning blue.
"T-too hard!"
She immediately drops Suu, and Suu regains her breath.
"Sorry!"
But Suu holds up a hand.
"It's fine…"
"So what brings you here?"
She scratches the top of her head.
"I just have this itch. When I was recovering, this figure, I don't know who keeps appearing to me in my dreams. And strangely enough, your house and that giant hole are at the center of it. I keep on seeing this blue light as well. It's been getting on my mind lately…"
"Are you saying that someone else has been living here? I'm sorry, but it's just me and Scooby. If it helps, you can come in." Suu hmmms before entering. Scooby runs around her legs as he comes out of the kitchen. Suu scratches his forehead.
"Oh hi, doggy." She hits the secret spot, and Scooby melts under her fingernails. Having enough, Suu stops the petting and walks around the living room. It's this room mostly…
She stops when she reaches the picture frames and picks up one. Smiling, Avdol joins along.
"That's a good memory." All this does is causes Suu to have more images of the person in her head. The images are throbbing throughout her head, and she's feeling lightweight. The images show a silhouette surrounded in a blue aura. But their body is covered in darkness. Their silver eyes pierce Suu as she treks backward. WHO ARE YOU?! Her body stumbles, and Avdol catches her as she's about to hit the ground.
"Whoa, there!" Quickly, she lays Suu on the couch. Her hand covers Suu's forehead, but her temperature is warm. It's not a fever.
"Ugh, I'm sorry." She gets up but Avdol pushes her down.
"Nooo way after that. What happened?"
"Just got lightheaded, that's all."
But an image singes. An image of a girl with black pupils and short black hair.
And cut!
Sorry that this didn't come out earlier! I was busy with school activities and was generally tired for most of this story.
Ok, elephant in the room, I don't care about power scaling and how if X is stronger than Y, Y has no chance. How much stronger a person isn't going to make the story and fight scene good, it's how each of them tries to outdo the other, how they try to counter their opponents moves, how can they get a good hit in. Strength doesn't equal intelligence, quick thinking, etc. It means you're just strong.
And before you ultra-fanboys rant about Zuce losing despite having all these powers yadayada, chill out with your venom. I don't care about the long-debated issue of Goku vs Superman, and how it can correlate here. I don't care if my OC doesn't win. All I want to do is write a good fight scene in where tactics and how a person can utilize their powers come into play. Yes, Zuce is the hero of Conton City, but that doesn't mean she still can't learn other fighting techniques.
I thought out the fight scene and said to myself, 'If it's cool, add it." And I'll probably never add the spectator's conversations as it takes away from the fight because, my god, do so many animes and mangas have that problem. Show; don't let another person tell me what's happening. Just let me watch it play out! Discuss it later.
