Kakarotsanimistic: HA! Fuck you!

Metropolis Mall

"Let's go in there!" Kara runs insides a store along with Donna. Kara has a fluffy jacket and underneath is a purple t-shirt with blue jeans along with a belt. Donna is wearing a white t-shirt with a golden eagle and blue jeans as well, minus the belt. They bolt through the door and rush to the nearest clothes racket and pull off a grey stylistic jacket. She puts it to her body while Donna hmmms.

"I think… that should go with this." She grabs a pair of black pants and presses them on Kara.

"I think you're right!"

*THUD*

"A little bit to your left." The door swings open as Zatanna walks through along with someone holding many, many… many bags and boxes. You can't even see their face as they enter but stops when a box hits the top. The cashier's and other customers' face drop and widen. The person squats and walks through the store. Zatanna raises an eyebrow as they enter. Zatanna is wearing her magician's clothes.

"You sure you don't need help?"

The person sets the boxes and bags to the side.

"I'm fine, but these glasses… I'm not used to them along with this eye color changy thing. is this necessary?"

It's Zuce. She's wearing a grey jacket with a black t-shirt underneath and black long pants along with a black pair of glasses and blue contacts. She sighs as the last bag is set.

"Well, no one is born with black pupils, and you'll stick out like a sore thumb. Not like you already do but…" Zuce shifts the glasses to the bridge of her nose.

"Hmmm, ok…" Glancing at the mountain of bags, she glares Zatanna. "Not to be rude, but is all that necessary? This pales in comparison to what I have." Zatanna leans her vision to the stacks of boxes and hums.

"Maybe more this time because it's usually the three of us, and also that you seem to be able to handle this. I'm surprised you are able to carry them all without dropping a single one."

"Thanks but, uhhh, how many more stops?"

Zatanna taps her chin.

"This is the last one… probably. Then, we go ice-skating, and finally, we eat." Zuce smiles.

"Good… I shop for clothes as well, but to this extent?" But it drops as Kara and Donna are trying on different outfits and styles, but soon they walk to the cash register, arms full of clothes. It piles mountain-high and Zuce groans. She walks to a nearby aisle and takes a look at a red jacket. Zatanna scans for any glazing eyes and cameras, and a magic wand materializes in her hand. Nobody's watching and the cameras aren't monitoring her position.

"Tropelet eseht sehtolc ot eht moorded fo annataZ, annoD, dna, araK dna ezinagro meht ni a yltaen noihsaf!" (Teleport these clothes to the bedroom of Zatanna, Donna, and Kara and organize them in a neat fashion) Two purple waves appear and consume the bags and boxes before blinking out of existence. Zuce trails back and her eyes widen as the luggage is gone.

"W-wait…"

"Don't worry…" Zatanna winks before meeting with Kara and Donna. This simply confuses Zuce as she scans the area but, nothing. She scratches her head as to what happened with the things. She was gone for ten seconds, and poof, they vanished. The trio returns with several bags and walks to Zuce. Kara tilts to the exit.

"Come, we're finished."

Not even Donna is questioning where her goods went as they exit. Zatanna winks again, and Zuce, Zuce sighs and walks out. She catches up and strolls beside Zatanna.

"So… what did you do?"

"Merely transported them to our rooms."

"How did you that?" But Zatanna cracks a smirk.

"A magician never reveals her secrets."

"But she needs help with thissssss!" Zatanna flails around as her legs are giving way. She leans forward and back as she slowly, slowly, moves across the ice-rink. The other people are smirking as she soon reaches the middle. Zuce is skating fine but she staggers a bit while Donna skates by with the biggest grin.

"Need some help?" Zatanna frowns as Donna skates all around her.

"Yeah?" Donna extends a hand, and she throws her hand for it, but Donna pulls her arm.

"Whoops!"

Her eyes widen, but it's too late. Her hand causes Zatanna's legs to slip and she's about to fall. Except for, she doesn't. Her hands are grabbing someone's arms and holding for dear life.

Glancing to her savior, it's Kara. She has a smile as well, but she helps Zatanna up. Zatanna catches her breath as she steadies her footing. Glaring daggers, Donna simply shrugs and skates away. She grits her teeth and keeps staring as Donna slides further away.

"I'm sooooo going to get her for this!"

"No, you won't!" Zatanna grumbles. Donna skates near the edge and twirls before dashing to the other side. She frowns. Kara elbows her, and she casts a glance.

"You may not be able to get her, but the two of us can." She leans to Zatanna's ear. Zatanna smiles.

"Ekam em etaks retteb!" (Make me skate better.) A purple aura sparks out her fingers and embodies in the figure skating boot.

Zuce, on the other hand, glides around other people. She quickly twirls and slides, but her back leans. Her arms flail, but she slips and falls butt first. A few people laugh at the misfortunate, but she doesn't respond with a glare or glance.

"Ow! Ugh, let's try that again, this time, less speed." Standing once more, she brushes the ice dust off her butt and thighs. Zuce inhales and exhales.

She starts with a small glide with her right foot leading. Her body swings left to right to left and continues in a pattern. After a few good seconds, she switches with the other foot and pushes. Don't prioritize about speed, spin with balance…

The cold gusts through the rink and caresses the darkness of her hair. Closing her eyes, the world stands still. Time, time stops. The noise lowers and lowers before fading away. She swings left to avoid a couple. Her right foot takes lead. Her arms expand and she t-poses across the rink. She tilts and steers with her right hand on the ice. Her eyes flash open and guiding near the middle, she twirls and twists.

She retracts her arms and her speed increases. One spin, two spins, three, four, she isn't stopping. And… she slows to stop. But with the speed, she faces the same problem. Her back has extended too far, and her knees can't support the weight. Her feet slip and she trips. But, her fall stops short as a pair of arms catches her back.

"Hmmm, catching people from falling can't seem to escape me." Glancing up, the light above casts a shadow on her savior. But she sees past the blinding light and smiles as Kara lifts her.

"Thanks for that, Kara." Kara helps with Zuce trying to steady her footwork. But Zuce slips again as she lets go of Kara. Her body freaks-out and flails once more. Kara quickly catches her once more and reels Zuce. Their bodies touch and heat up as they embrace.

"For a martial artist, I thought you would be proficient in trying to find 'balance'."

"Sorry, I'm still getting the hang of this… It's kind of hard when you wear nothing but boots almost all your life."

Kara shrugs.

"Eh, third time's the charm. Come on; just hold my hand. I'll be your partner."

"LOOOOOOKKKK OUTTTTT!" They snap in the direction of the voice, it's a flailing Donna Troy as she's barreling through anyone that comes in her path. Zatanna is laughing behind her. They both widen their eyes and, Kara takes Zuce's hand, trying to escape the steamroller, but it's too late!

*Bowling pins sound effects*

Donna slams into them, knocking all three over. They crash and slide on the icy ground with almost everyone laughing at their misfortunate.

Here's the pecking order; it goes the three of them, the bacteria in the ice, the ice, Kami, then Popo. Wait… what?

Elsewhere

A black man smiles.

"That's how the order goes."

In the dog pile, Zuce is on the bottom, Kara in the middle, and Donna on top. They all groan.

"What happened to you, Donna? I thought you were great at this? You were the only one I didn't have to catch…"

"Ugh, sorry. I was going at a slow rate but then, I somehow sped." Zatanna comes around with a smile and drifts. The drift picks up ice and sprays the girls. Mostly, it targets Donna.

"Have an ice day!"

Donna glares at her skates and sees a blue-ish tinge to them. They were silver. It connects.

"Zatanna!"

Donna props a hand against something soft. Glancing down, it's Zuce's cheek.

"Hey."

Zuce has another hand pushing against her boobs. It's not Donna but Kara's. Zuce's hands are laid on the ice rink while Kara's head nears hers. She feels both of their weights as they lay. Kara shakes her head and pushes against something soft. Instinctively, she clenches several times. Same thing with Donna, except for her hand is on Zuce's boob. Meeting her eyes, Zuce stares without blinking.

"Hey."

Kara's face transforms a new shade of red, redder than Wally West's costume. Her hand quickly retracts.

"I'm so sorry! I-I didn't mean to-"

Donna gets off Kara and zooms at Zatanna.

"Oh shit!"

"You are SO dead!"

Zatanna bolts and slides away from a provoked Donna.

Still blushing, Kara gets off Zuce and lends a hand. Taking it, Kara helps Zuce up for the second time. They pat off any ice.

"I-I think I've had enough, you wanna just rest?" Zuce offers a simple nod, and they skate to the exit. As they open the door and leave to the counter, Zatanna jumps through as the door is closing the door and twirls around with a flick of her wrist.

"Tuhs eht rood!" (Shut the door!) The door closes as Donna charges after Zatanna. But realizing what she did, she tries to stop, but she can't stop. She slams face-first.

*Thud*

Her face aligns with the glass before popping and sliding to the ground. Zatanna smirks before catching up with the others. Not this time!

Zatanna pops her skates off and returns them to the clerk. She spots the others at a nearby table and walks. She sits next to Zuce. Kara is still red from the accident.

"-fine. I don't see why you're apologizing or why grabbing here is embarrassing." Zuce jiggles the boob Kara grabbed, and Zatanna's face flushes. Wow. Zatanna catches Kara's eye. Kara's stuttering over her words which has Zuce being even more confused. Zatanna coughs into her hand.

"*Ahem*, it's just that it's inappropriate to be touched there…"

"Oh. Ok."

Kara breathes a sigh of relief, and her face reverts back. Zatanna flashes her eyebrows, and she receives the signal.

"Anyway, I think it's about time to grab a bite. I'm starving." As she finishes, she stands but a hand grapples her shoulder and pushes down. With all three of them glancing up the hand, it's Donna with a cheek to cheek smile. She sits close to Zatanna. Her pearly white teeth twinkle. Zatanna's face drops.

"Hey… I have something for you." She stares with that smile. That's how it all starts. With that damn smile.

"Tropelet em-" (Teleport me-) But Donna presses a finger to Zatanna's lips. Zatanna stops in her tracks as Donna leans to her ear.

"Shhhhh, just accept your fate. You'll make this much worst if you resist. Got that?" Zatanna nods and Donna faces the others. They take no action as Zatanna shakes in her heels as if there's a snake in it.

"We'll catch up at the food court." They nod and walk away as Donna and Zatanna remain. Donna wraps an arm around Zatanna and reels her. Zatanna shakes as their bodies embrace as Donna's temperature is absolute zero.

"Please, I'm sorry."

"Thank Wally for this..."

Food Court

"I'll have uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh…" As a customer stares at the menu, the others behind her tap their feet in a beat to the sound of frying the meat. Others stare and mutter silently their order without skipping a beat.

"Cobb salad, thousand-eye-dressing to the side…"

All around the area are customers eating at tables, ordering food, getting the food for themselves, friends, and or family.

Sitting in a booth, Kara stretches back and plants her feet next to Zuce.

"Sooo, how are you liking this day?" Zuce nods.

"It's been great. I really enjoyed this day. Thanks… for inviting me." Kara cracks a smirk.

"You're welcome! But… one thing has been scratching the back of my mind. How did you suddenly turn golden? Is some sort of transformation or a phase shift? You just got much stronger and faster! It was like I was fighting you but a completely different you."

"Transformations."

"Transformations? With an S, as in more than one?" Zuce nods.

"Six total so far. What you fought was me at Super Saiyan Three."

"So there's three more after three? Can I see?" But Zuce shakes.

"Sorry… I rather not show them off. Those forms are only for worst case scenarios."

"Awww, come o'sparring pal of mine, not even a peek? I mean you skipped the other two transformations before, what's so wrong about showing me these other three? Are we all going to die in a galactic fireball or someone snapping their fingers because the universe can't handle the powers of Comet?" But Zuce is unmoved by her pleas. She simply stares.

"Sorry… it's for personal reasons as well." Zuce breaks the stare to a corner of the table. Her fingers intertwine and combine. How will the others react when she has powers almost rivaling or equal to a god? She is indeed special, but so is everyone else. Having the powers of a god but living among mortals? How can she continue to live a life like that? It's almost if the entire DC line is built this way…

With the sudden body language shift, Kara takes her feet off the booth.

"It's just a bit of intrigue, you know? There are always powerful foes we have to fight, and sometimes it comes down to a brawl. I want to be highly adaptive to the people we have to fight, and that we're sparring partners."

Zuce raises an eyebrow.

"Sparring partners?" Kara cracks a smile.

"Yeah, you know. I have to drastically hold back when training, and sure it helps me become creative but with you, I can let loose. I don't have to hold back much and really test out my strength. Also that, I need to teach you what it means to be a superhero. You don't think that just because Kal inducted you to the Justice League means you're ready right? All the more reason that makes you my new partner. I'm sure you want to unleash even a bit of your powers don't you?"

Zuce simply stares. She scratches her right cheek while Kara stares back.

"I'm not opposed to that idea…" This lights Kara's world as she grants her request.

"Great! I knew you would come to see it my way! I teach you a few things and vice versa!"

"Yeah… ok…" It feels like I'm talking to Sarah 2.0. So… demanding… Why does it seem like I'm attracted to these types of people? Just like Stand Users. She can never escape these types of personality within people. It's fate that she meets these people.

"Tomorrow morning, same room. It will be a lot of fun! You have my word! We've got this! Don't you agree?"

"Yeah…"

As if on cue, Donna and Zatanna sit beside them.

"Hey, are you not hungry or something? Usually, people sit with something to chow down. Anyway, I'm starving. Any of you want something?" Kara and Zuce shake no while Zatanna has a slight nod. They can't take their focus away from her as she remains silent and motionless. The bigger issue is with Zatanna as she has her hat covering her face. Kara and Zuce raise their eyebrows before meeting a wink from Donna. Donna has a gleeful smile before standing. She walks towards a huge burger sign and a burger mascot. She stands behind a woman wearing a purple dress along with a child attached to her hand.

Kara extends to Zatanna and grabs the hat.

"Alright, what did she do to- PFT-" Stopping mid-sentence, she reels to her seat as the hat drops. Zuce slightly chuckles. The poor magician just stares at the table. Kara has her hands over her mouth but snippets leak.

Zatanna's face is covered in a pasty paint and two big red circles on her cheeks. Her lips are coated with a green lipstick and her eyelashes are painted blue. A small piece of duct-tape is rolled over her mouth. Two giant black circles enclose her eyes.

But Kara's little bubble bursts.

"Oh my god! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Well, hello there, Mrs. IT!" Probably can't tell, but Zatanna is frowning underneath as she continues to bawl her eyes out. Zuce's has slightly increased with her covering mouth.

"I'm so- hehe- that she did that to you…" As they continue to enjoy their torment, Zatanna rips the duct-tape. A blood vessel appears on her forehead. Also, with a purple *poof*, her wand materializes in her hand.

"Screw this! Ow! Naelc ym ecaf!" (Clean my face!) A few purple sparks later and her face is clean from the vile paint. But the others are still giggling with no intent to stop. With a new face, she mutters a few words of which it won't be typed out because the writer is tired of typing backward.

*Crack*

They both stop laughing at the poor girl.

A moist sensation emits from Zuce's head. Immediately, her hand reaches the top. It feels sticky but wet at the same time. There are also some little bits of solids, and she grabs a piece. Holding it in front, it's an eggshell. Kara scoffs and chuckles.

"Aw, screw you!" She flicks some yolk, but the liquid hits a purple barrier. The yolk dissipates as it slides. Zatanna grins while Kara tries to grab more of the yolk and shell. Zuce grabs some napkins and wipes the pieces. After the third napkin, all the broken pieces are gone, but there's still the slimy part.

"Serves you right! How could you leave me with her?"

"Who shuts the door on someone's face and not expect repercussions?!" She flicks more yolk but same results. Zuce silently tries to wipe the yolk with the napkins but to no avail. Zatanna rolls her eyes while chuckling. Just in time, Donna sets the tray and glances at the two wet girls and one pleased magician. She stifles a laugh but a grin emerges.

A few backward words later along with two purple poofs and their hairs are scrubbed of any egg. Somehow, throughout all of this, no one has seen any of this going down. They all been busy with stuff like their phones, taking selfies, etc. No one even hears their conversations. It's almost as if it's the work of an enemy st-

"Here. A pretzel for you. Now, are you sure you guys don't want any food?" Donna hands Zatanna her order and they dig in. The others shake no once more. Kara bats an eye to Zuce, and she catches it. Their faces turn and meet. Kara smiles which causes Zuce to raise an eyebrow.

"What? Did I do something wrong?"

"No… I just wanted to ask a few more questions. I want to get to know more without any interruptions." She gives the others the eye and they scoff.

"Like what?" She glances at the ceiling before coming back.

"Ohhh, how did you come up with the name, Comet?"

Zuce shrugs.

"I didn't come up with it. A family helped with the superhero stuff and I went with it. It's related to how I arrived to Earth in a space pod. You should meet their daughter; she'll enjoy meeting some more superheroes." Images of Sarah flash as the hype little energetic hummingbird explodes when she sees the whole gallery of superheroes appearing at her doorstep. Though not literally explode, though possible. That girl has no bounds to her power.

"Alright… so what happens when you turn into a Super Saiyan, because there has to be a Super Saiyan 1 and 2 before 3? Martial Arts aside, because screaming for a long time seemed to change your physique and hair and hair length. And also shouting your attacks. Jeez, I wonder if that can happen to me. But I'm already blonde so…"

"I'm more powerful along with faster, but it drains my energy at a fast rate, but I've mastered those states. I can go in those forms for hours, maybe days. Haven't tested that though."

"You're gonna show me those forms when we hit training." Zatanna raises her hand.

"Well, I have a question, if you don't mind. Just what are you? You look human and have all the features, subtracting away from the pupils."

"I'm a Saiyan. We were once a planet-conquering warrior race, but now most of us fight for the greater good." They blink. Donna and Zatanna stop halfway with their food. Did they hear that right?

"Wait, say that first part again?"

"I'm a Sai-"

"No, after that…"

"We once conquered planets." Again, they blink before the typical eye bugle.

"SAY WHATTT?!"

"It was a long time ago before I was born. My race had been known in the universe to conquer planets and sell them off to the highest bidder."

"Yeah, if they had powers like yours, I'm not surprised. You pack quite the punch." But Zuce shakes her head.

"Those from before didn't have access to powers like mine. They relied on strength and their ability to grow stronger after each battle. Also, they usually fight under a full moon which transformed them into these giant great towering 50ft apes." Zatanna pounds her chest as she coughs from the pretzel. Donna and Kara raise an eyebrow as Zuce finishes her statement.

Imagine sitting in front or close to a humanoid with powers that rival Superman and Supergirl in terms of strength and speed as well as combat prowess, and that she derived from a warrior race that used to conquer planets for profit and could turn into an Oozaru. Oh yeah, she's also their friend. She seems to be full of surprises and blunt about it.

"And you have these similar powers? Are we going to have to lock you in during a full moon night?" Once more, Zuce shakes no.

"Nah, my tail got cut off when I was little. No humongous transforming ape here. Though, that is how you would beat them." A sigh of relief overcomes the trio. Zatanna and Donna resume back to their food. Kara chuckles afterward.

"Well, I'd say I would never imagine someone like you becoming a hairy furball. You're too cute to be a destructive monkey." The other two raise their brows for a second before glancing at each other.

"She's doing it again."

"She always does this with the rookies. Don't worry about it, Donna. Just her style." They set their eyes back on the others. Zuce is twirling her thumbs

"Thanks… I guess you would be too cute too… if your race also had animal transformations. Does yours?" Her voice goes quieter as she continues to the point of the question trailing off to be a mumble. Kara stares at Zuce, unmoved at the jest. Her eyes, they are unresponsive but instead have this seriously focused glare. Zuce catches the stare. She gulps before breaking away from the stare down and shifts slightly the other way, but a hand grabs her arm.

"Where do you think you're going?" Trailing down the arm, it's Kara's. She smiles cheek to cheek but a dreadful aura emits. Zuce shrivels s as Kara latches and clenches her grip. Zuce glances for the others to help, but they too have the same smile and aura.

"Please, let go…"

"Oh, let's join in!"

"Yeah, it's not funny to make fun of Kryptonians. They're an endangered species. They need to be protected." Zuce grips her hand into a fist. What's going on with them?! Is this a trap?

"You hating on Krypto-heh-kryptonians or something like that-heh…" Zatanna's voice slightly gives way as she finishes. She's struggling to keep a composed face before bursting out. They glare at the magician before the other two laugh in short burst. Kara releases her arm with a joyous grin.

"Damnit, Zatanna! Ahhh, way to ruin the joke!" Donna taps Zatanna's shoulder as they continue. Zuce just stares around.

"Wait, you guys weren't serious about that?" Kara's hand lands on Zuce's shoulder for support as she plants her face.

"NO! Hehe, oh, hehe, you should have seen the look on your face! Priceless!"

Zatanna reaches across the table and taps the edge. Zuce glares in her direction.

"We just love messing around with the newcomers, that's all. It's a running gag in the League that we get all dark and serious like the DCEU when a rookie tries to be funny, especially if they're shy. We play all offensive taken and what not and put on our serious face. Ah, I love this!" Kara pats Zuce on the back. Zuce offers a light chuckle.

" … that wasn't very funny." Her face drops along with her tone. The others slowly cease their giggles to see the severity of their new friend's face. She pats Zuce once more.

"Oh, come on, we gotcha good!"

"I hate jokes like those."

"Well, I'm not apologizing for that. I just wished Zatanna over here would be a better actor. Donna's got it." Zatanna rolls her eyes.

"It hurts me to learn that you people love to make the other person feel bad all for the sake of a joke." This stops all of them in their tracks. Donna sets the fork down and points to Zuce who still has the serious expression.

"Look here! It was a jest that we-" But, she sees it. The one thing people hate when telling a joke. The expression that dooms all pranks and tricks. She's frowning but has the believable frown of a rock being a mountain. Zuce's head turns as she spots where Donna's staring.

"Zatanna, Kara, it seems that Zuce is a woman of culture." They both glance at Donna as they don't quite understand what's she's saying. But they do hear something, something that gives it all away. Zuce's stifled chuckling.

Their eyes widen.

"AHHH, SHE'S GOT US!" With that, Zuce's head swings to reveal a cheek to cheek grin. They all break into full laughter.

*A few moments later*

Zatanna wipes a tear.

"Damnit! How did I not see that? You were so believable had Donna not pointed you out!"

"Ah, I think she's after my heart. I was the one to start all of this. Nice job!" She pats Zuce and scratches her back. Zuce smiles at the gesture and chuckles slightly. She scoots closer to Kara to maximize the back-scratch.

"Thanks… my friends back home have been playing that joke on me for a while. Seems their nature just rubbed on me." Images of a larger table flash in her mind of all of her friends having a great time. Eating, drinking, playing around, they were a whole family unit. She smiles as the images disappear.

"Back home? You mean where you came from right?"

"No, Earth. Well, a different Earth."

"Oh? What's your Earth like?"

"Well, it has-"

Zatanna catches Kara staring.

"What?"

"Hey, I would stop the conversation right there. Superman told me she was forced here by accident, and before that, fought off someone who killed most of her friends. We have no way of teleporting her back, and the last thing I want to do is make her feel sad."

"Oh..."

"I'm sorry… I didn't know that."

"Maybe she can go further into details later, but chances are, it'll bring up traumatic memories."

"-I have this bag from Bulma which has tons of ge-"

"Oh yeah, that's nice! I'm sorry to interrupt, but isn't it time for training? Isn't that right, Kara?"

"Yeah… it totally is. Come on, Zuce, you're gonna learn the basics of what it means to be a hero! And say hello to your teacher! ME! Come on! We're going now!" Kara shows off her pearly whites and a gleam appears. Kara grabs Zuce's hand and forces her out of the booth.

"See you later!" And with that, she zooms off with the rookie.

"I thought you said it was tomorrow morning!"

"I lied!"

Zatanna and Donna both giggle. Donna stands and grabs the empty bag and her tray.

"Here, I got the cleanup." And she walks away.

Zatanna presses inside her ear.

"Did you get all that, Batman?"

*Day 2, after training*

"GO, GO, GO, GO!"

A crowd of heroes and staff members fill half of the dining hall as they cheer. Stacks of empty pizza boxes tower even the tallest heroes. A slice of pepperoni pizza is shoved into someone's mouth with another following.

Comet and Cyborg chow another pizza in a single bite as they mow through the pies. To their right is a counter with a redder Flash flipping the numbers. Score: 34-33.

Atom scratches his head.

"I have never seen someone else being able to compete with him."

"GO, CYBORG! YOU CAN DO IT!" Behind the cheering Teen Titans is a betting table with Green Arrow as the headcount.

"Come on, folks! Place your bets? Will the rookie take the crown or will the champion defend his title? Though, I don't think I can ever look at pizza ever again…" Score: 44-46.

Cyborg cracks his neck. He also burps.

"Time for maximum overdrive!"

As the next box is set, he wraps his hands around the whole pie and his mouth expands. In one go, a pizza is consumed. Comet bats an eye to see the mysterious power of the Cyborg and darts her attention to the pace she's going at. She grabs two slices and in one go, shoves them, chews, and swallows. Her hands pick apart the pizza so fast that if they were to blink, they would miss it.

The heroes cheer more and more as the competition continues. The stacks eventually reach the ceiling, and a new stack is started.

Score: 93-93.

Cyborg slowly chews his slice. Too much cheese, pepperoni, all that make a pizza so good! Glancing at his competition, she has slowed her eating too. Half a slice to go! But her body is laid across the chair. Her hand shakes as it rears closer to her mouth and she takes a nipple of the two slices.

"I think this is it! Comet looks to be struggling but so does Cyborg!"

Seeing the golden wink of the crown, he finishes the current slice. His hand ever so slightly lifts another slice to his greasy lips but pulls back as he collapses in the chair. Saliva drools out his mouth.

"And Cyborg is out! All Comet needs to do is finish her two slices!" Her side of heroes vigorously cheers while his support prays for her to fail. Comet takes a deep breath and in one fell swoop, shoves the two slices and swallows them whole. Right before moaning. Score: 95-94.

"She takes the crown!" Her side cheers while the other moans at their loss. Firestorm rushes to her side and crowns the champion. Comet weakly laughs before something catches the corner of her eye.

Cyborg extends his arm, and she crosses it.

*Day 5, Night*

Zamasu has a beaten and bloodied Nathol by his head. Scarlet blood courses out. His left eye is shut. Zuce's vision struggles as she tries to lift herself from the ground. Her clothes are torn with bruises and cuts all over. She powers down from Super Saiyan Blue back to her base as her body nearly collapses. A hand presses against her lungs as she can only have short breaths.

Fire consumes the city. Bodies litter the street. The street runs red. Huge craters populate Conton City as it burns. Dark clouds cover the sky with lightning and rain.

Zuce grits her teeth as a mountain of pain explodes within as she struggles to stand. Her feet wobble and trip but upright, she maintains a flimsy stance.

"Champ, it'll be alright! You'll get through this!"

"SILENCE!" With a flick of his blade, Nathol howls. His right arm splats and drools.

"AHHHH, CHAMP, IT'S NOTHING! AHHHH! ERGHHHHH!"

"ZAMASU!"

Her blood is boiling, hearing him scream… Kill, KILl, KILL, MURDER! I CAN'T LET HIM LIVE ALONG LONGER!

"I wouldn't do that if I were you. One false move and he, well, you already know. His life is in your hands." He holds his weapon to Nathol's neck as she's about to jump. She immediately stops but clenches her fists to where it could crush a mountain.

"CHAMP, DON'T LISTEN TO HIM, STOP HIM NO MATTER WHAT!" But Zamasu laughs.

"Hehehehe, she won't as long as I have you. You're too precious and she can't lose you. Ah, attachments, that's what weakens all the other deities. You'd pillage, kill, desecrate, all because of another being. ALL THROUGHOUT HISTORY, IT HAS BEEN NOTHING BUT DEATH AND DESTRUCTION! I AM THE CLEANSER O-" As he rants, Nathol sees his champ… no, his child, struggling to get up. She wobbles and tumbles, all the while she doesn't lay her eyes off Nathol. Her pupils, they're shaking. She groans as one foot plants in the dirt. Nathol closes his eyes and takes a deep breath. Reopening them, he lets out a smile grin.

"Champ, listen to me carefully. You were a troublemaker, made my blood boil to its breaking point. But I couldn't hate you because you gave me joy, you and your mother. I adored that about you. An old man like me found a reason to strive, to live life to the fullest. I'm sorry, Zuce."

Zuce's eyes widen as he pivots left and gives Zamasu a clean left hook. Instinctively, she zooms with her hand reaching out but trips with the first step. She stabilizes a few moments later. But the punch, the punch doesn't affect Zamasu and instantly, the end of the blade sticks out of his back. Blood seeps from the wound. His body plants on the dirt with his fleeting eyes. His mouth moves but no words, no sound. But she does see one thing. Lifting his head, he wants her to see one thing.

A smile.

Tears flood her sight. Murder fills her mind. Revenge is in her fist.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" A blue light consumes Zuce as she inches closer and closer. Her pupils vanish. Her right fist opens to a palm, and her teeth grind as she surges all her power to her hand. The blue aura trails only along her entire right arm.

Zamasu laughs and closes his eyes. Zuce's gone to the back of her head. The only thing seen are the whites in her eyes.

"What a fool! Hmph, he would fit well with your crowd-"

As he opens them, she's already upon him with her palm as the first thing he sees. He gasps.

"HA-URGGHH-HAKAI!"

Nothing.

Nothing as in his head is gone.

Her left arm finds a grip on her right as his headless body. She screams as his body slowly disintegrates starting from the right side. His right arm is nearly gone and it's to his shoulders. Her breathing consists of short intakes. A blood mountain pops from her right, and she bites her jaw. Veins appear across. Fire, no, it feels like lava applying its melting touch.

I'M ALMOST THERE! BODY! DON'T GIVE UP ON ME YET! JUST A BIT LONGER!

The destruction spread to his chest.

But his left-hand shoots at her throat. His fingers wrangle and close its grasp. Zuce gasps for air, any air! The grip tights and her already terrible vision is blurring up. I WON'T LOSE. NOT AGAIN! YOU'VE DONE TOO MUCH! I WON'T LET YOU LET ANY LONGER!

It has reached to the left elbow. The arm loosens and falls, twitching before dissipating to the wind. As the last of it is blown, Zuce falls backward with short breaths. Her right arm swimming in blood. Her body aches, full of sorrow and regret.

"Everyone… I did it. He's gone." The clouds part ways and open with the sun shining on the remnants of Conton City. Fire, craters, corpses, all things attributed to a ruined civilization.

But with Zuce, something covers her eyes.

*GASP*

The blanket tosses with her violent startlement.

She takes shorts breaths and combs her hair. Sweat drips from her body. She wears a white shirt and a pair of pajama legs. Throwing off the blanket, she sits on the edge. A hand plants on her breast.

*THUD THUD THUD-THUD-T-THUD-THUD-TH-THUD*

She holds by the forehead her hands as she tries to steady her breathing. 1, 2, breath, 3, 4, breath. 1, 2, breath, 3, 4, breath. For a few minutes, that all she does. The room illuminates with the lights flickering on. On the desk are photos of Zuce hanging out with her old friends, having a blast. And to the side are some newer photos of the silliness with her new friends. One has a picture of Zatanna with the clown make-up and the others smiling.

That… that was all a dream… but… it felt real.

Standing, Zuce walks to the bathroom and turns on the hot water after flipping the bathroom light. She splashes numerous times to her face before turning off the water. Her eyes dart to her reflection. All is well with her appearance. Grabbing a rag, she wipes her face.

Dining Lounge

Several heroes gather at different tables, discussing their day. They all share a laugh as they eat. Cracking jokes and whatnot as the staff cleans up after them.

"It was just another day of bank robbers. A piece of cake to deal with."

"Seems you had a better day. I was a test subject for this new experiment by the Atom." They converse and share a laugh.

With Comet in her 'superhero' outfit, she leans on the table with a glass of water in hand. Though not directly, she stares at the bright star of this universe. What keeps her warm in the coldest of days, what's there to greet her in the earliest of May.

"I like to watch as the sun goes down."

"Why? Isn't a bad thing if the sun goes down? It gets cold and dark. I don't like it."

"No, champ. It signifies that I'm still alive. That I'm able to continue my work and live life. I'm still able to work this old body to support the two of you. It's what gives me the motivation to rise in the morning."

Zuce sighs and takes a swallow before setting the glass empty. She clenches her hands into fists as Nathol's voice trails. It wasn't a dream; it was hell… Why now? Maybe I was wrong, that the bad voices would fly away if I surrounded myself with friends. I could avoid hearing him all over and remembering the state of Conton… Gripping hard enough, veins pop and detail the trail down the knuckles. Her knuckles turn white but they revert. Maybe it was just a bad dream…

*Day 17, Night*

"Hello? Is anyone out there?" Her voice echoes in the endless chamber of pitch black but no response. Just an eerie silence to accompany her later calls for attention.

She stands in a pit of black. The only light source is Zuce's golden aura. She spins, hoping for another being to greet her in this abyss. Where am I first off? It's just black everywhere. Hovering, the golden aura's shine increases and covers more area. But nothing.

"Is anyone alive?"

Well, a white light pops close to Zuce. Reflexes draw her attention to the shine of white and turning around, a pink figure with an orange jacket and black pants and flowy hair eyes the hero. The hero's eyes widen. That circular face, the abnormal features. Bolting faster than a panther, she finds herself under the white spotlight.

"Ruu? Is that really you?" Ruu has her eyes closed. Zuce lifts a hand close to her face, but Ruu grabs the gesture. Her eyelids pop to reveal serene pure white pupils.

"Don't talk as if we're friends, hero." But this causes an eyebrow to raise.

"What are you saying? You hung out with me and the gang!" Ruu's grasp hardens to where Zuce tries to pries her surprisingly cold fingers.

"Is that what am I to you? A part so easily detachable?"

"What are you going on about? Please let go!" A slap across the face stops Zuce in her tracks. The cold white pupils pierce her veil and Zuce powers down.

"Let go? Kinda how you let go of your previous life and now in this hero profession? You know, with more thought put into this, it's all your damn fault. Never had you come to Earth that we would have been under the radar of his wrath. I-" Zuce scoffs at the notion Zamasu is entirely her fault.

"This is madness, Ruu! What has gotten into you? He hated all of us."

"How do you think he located us? Your big pool of energy! It was shooting off like rockets in the sky!"

"NO! He already knew the location when he became that astral fo-"

"EXCUSES, EXCUSES, EXCUSES! JUST ADMIT IT! THAT ENERGY LED THE GOD-KILLER TO CONTON!"

"NO! YOU ARE WRONG ON EVERY LEVEL! HE HATED US FOR WHAT WE DID! OUR ACTIONS PREVENTED ANY ALTERATIONS FROM OCCURING, AND HE DIDN'T WANT US IN HIS WAY! I STOPPED HIM FROM CAUSING A GREATER DESTRUCTION TO THE LIVES OF EVERYONE THERE! I BLAME MYSELF FOR NOT GETTING THERE EARLIER TO SAVE ALL OF YOU! I'M SORRY BUT I AM NOT THE SOLE REASON HE CAME!"

"YEAH? JUST BECAUSE AN IMAGINATION OF YOUR DEAD ADOPTED FATHER T-"

Zuce left-hooks Ruu. Her face conforms to the blow as the impact explodes a concentration of wind, blowing any parts not strapped to the body. Her grip releases as she is buried a bit in the dirt.

"DON'T YOU DARE SAY THAT ABOUT HIM! HE MAY NOT BE MY REAL FATHER, BUT HE'S A DAD TO ME! HE PROMISED ME HE WOULDN'T DIE! UNTIL I SEE HIS BODY, YOU'RE FUCKING WRONG TO THE HIGHEST DEGREE!"

The dream Ruu rubs the blood spilling from her mouth as she stands.

"HIS BODY UH?" Instantly, her head is gone. A pool of pink blob surrounds Zuce's feet. "DID YOU EVEN RECOGNIZE ME AMONG THE DEAD AS YOU FLEW BY, SOBBING TO YOUR FATE?! DID YOU, HUH?" Zuce stops from shouting another word. She blinks several times while her mouth moves but no words appear. Her head Ruu scoffs and gets in her face."ALL THIS TIME, YOU'VE BEEN SAD FOR OUR DEATHS WHEN YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES! AND TO THINK THAT DRESSING UP AND FIGHTING OFF SOME THUG IN THE STREET, YOU'RE ACTING IN OUR STEED? BEING A 'SUPERHERO' IS SIMPLY YOU SEEKING REDEMPTION FOR FAILING US! TELL ME, HOW LONG UNTIL SOME BIG BADDY COMES ALONG AND DESTROYS EVERYTHING YOU LOVE? WHAT WILL YOU DO THEN? HUH?! IT SEEMS TO BE A COMMON THREAD WITH YOU AROUND!"

"I'LL STOP HIM LIKE THE REST!"

"How many bodies will that take?" Still inching close, Ruu's fingers zoom faster than Zuce can react. The tips glow blue as Zuce's pupil change to red. She tries to move but doesn't budge. The golden aura and hair disappear. She grunts as a massive headache implodes, almost as if a bomb went off.

"Ww-what are you doing?!"

"Showing what you lead to…" And with that, Zuce spins the other direction with Ruu's fingers still attached. She has her kneel.

A massive white light shines ahead with several people standing. But those people, they're missing an arm, a leg, or have a hole in their bodies. Black hair but with white pupils along with a brush of white armor. A mountain of ashes stands behind. Another spotlight appears and this time, Zuce's eyes widen. Her mouth quivers at the sight. Not to the number of green aliens with white pupils, but who's in front.

The medium length hair, oval facial structure, slimy body type, and a hole through her stomach. Around her are little green children huddling close. Zuce mouths off her words but no sound. She stares at her fallen daughter. With the white gaze. Her mouth opens. But nothing. Tears well in size and the shaking begins.

"WH-" But as if on command, her mouth closes. She's nothing more than a sentient puppet, it has the will but not the control. Ruu is pulling the strings.

Two spotlights this time. One is full to the brim of the dead Time Patrollers standing in idle. All with the white pupils. The other is a numerous amount of open caskets and tombstones. All have names of everyone she's met on this Earth. Ruu inches to her ear.

"The bodies you left to be buried, and soon those will be filled. I'm not wrong, am I? Tears stream to her chin and fall in the abyss. The everlasting darkness. Death, destruction, desolation, devastation, they follow where she goes. Planet Vegeta, Bluenet, Earth, when she leaves, corpses are left in her wake. Question, will this be the same here? When she leaves, what awaits the people of Earth?

"Let go… You're not Ruu. It won't happen…" A hint of denial and uncertainty are in that line.

"Every time you make friends, they end up dead or lost! You can deny it all you want; your mother and I are proof of your inability to do a simple job."

"I SAID LET GO!" In that instant, a volcanic eruption of azure spikes. This Ruu, no, the guilt pulls its fingers back. Zuce stands and spins, facing her nightmare. Tears flow upward as the blue aura spikes tremendously. Reaching to mountainous portions, the energy disperses the dead with Zuce screaming.

"This doesn't change anything… You'll be powerless when the time comes. Everyone you know will die. Rage all you like, in the end, nothing will change…"

*GASP*

Dining Lounge

Downing another glass, her eyes stare at the bottom as she sets it. Alone, she sits at the table. She doesn't look towards the sun. Her reflection though muddled stares back. She's wrong… she's wrong… SHE'S WRONG! Her knuckles change to white for the twelfth time.

"Hey, uhh, you alright there?" Zuce quickly drops her knuckles as the voice continues. Glancing at the voice, it's Shazam with a cheek to cheek grin and something behind his back.

"Yeah, just couldn't sleep. W-water usually helps…"

"Ice cream?" Zuce bats an eye to see Shazam extending an ice cream cone with a brown substance. His other hand has a cone for him.

"Hmm?" She releases all her tension.

"Ice cream? It's chocolate. Thought it might help… I eat a scoop every time I can't sleep" Zuce nods and takes the gesture of cream.

"Thanks…" Shazam pulls the other chair and sits. They eat the delicious frozen treat

"So, what's this about not being able to sleep? I've noticed you being out alone and always downing a glass. Is it just a nightmare? Maybe Zatanna can help cast-"

But Zuce, she shakes.

"No, just self-doubt about making the rash decision in becoming a superhero. I'm taking it all in, too many things going on at once. This new life, it's a bit… overwhelming. Never thought life would take me to this point." Zuce puts her hands under the table and forms two fists. However, her index fingers repeatedly press against her thumbs. A habit of her when she lies a bit.

"Hpmh, I get you. It's a sudden shift from a bad guy in the street to fighting a world conqueror. I wouldn't worry about it though, you'll fit right in. Give it a bit more time. and this'll be a second home. Already is for me!"

Zuce nods. What is home? That's a good question… She's been through three planets, of which all have been considered a home because she lived there. But that's just a residence. What is a home? A place where people eat, sleep, live?

"Anyway, I'd love to stay and chat, but Blue Beetle is waiting on me. He can't beat me at Mortal Kombat, but he's persistent I tell ya! See you later!" Zuce waves him off, and Shazam returns the gesture before sprinting down the hall.

Now, it's just Zuce and her glass. She sighs. A home is something I can't have. I'll destroy it if I stay too long. But maybe, just maybe, this time it'll be different. I'll make certain of it!

*A month later*

(At this point, she's been having nightmares about her failures while training. This has affected her mentally with the League and making new friends. I felt like writing more about it would have drawing it out.)

Ahhh, the city life. Full of taxi drivers, cars honking, pedestrians crossing the street, tall buildings that will have some property damage to it, a state park, hot dog vendors with their weird styles of how to do a hotdog, and many more to a city life. But what's also most prevalent is the rampant amount of crime just about right-

*EXPLOSION SOUNDS*

A wall has been blown out with a black blur zooming out of it. Above the wall is some generic bank name. Look over there! It's a bird, no, it's a plane! No, it's a supervillain! And she has multiple bags with the dollar sign. Oh no!

"AHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHA! WITH AMOUNT OF MONEY, I'M RICHER THAN THAT DOUCHEBAG LEX LUTHOR!"

"Shoot!" Several bullets fly towards the villain, but they have no effect. They all lie smashed on the ground. Nonetheless, the cops keep on firing their pistols. An angry tick appears on her forehead, and she smashes to the ground. In a blink of an eye, no, faster than that, all the cop cars are flipped or ripped in pieces. The cops lie on the ground, broken, beaten, battered, groaning in pain.

With a full view now, eh, think of Supergirl's costume except black and a D instead of an S. Also, she has two upward horns.

She smiles as she lifts the money close to her face.

"AHHH! I CAN SMELL THE LIFE I'VE BEEN HOPING FOR! WHERE ARE YOUR HEROES? ARE THEY TOO AFRAID TO FACE THE DEVASTATOR? I HOPE NO-" But a fist smooshes into her right cheek. A bit of spit comes out as her body zooms into the road, and some smoke arises from the crash along with some parts of the road.

Who's here to save the day? It's Comet! Hmmm, it doesn't sound all that powerful now that it's been written out. Anyway, her Gi flaps as a gust of wind blows up as Supergir- er, Devastator hovers a few feet from Comet. A trial of light beams across Comet's visor as they reflector Devastator. She coughs a few times before frowning.

"ZUUUUUCCCCCEE! I WANT TO HAVE MY MOMENT! LET ME FINISH MY EVIL MONOLOGUE!"

"Sorry… I still don't see the point in letting you talk for that long. Bores me." Kara throws her hands up.

"THE POINT OF ME MONOLOGUING SO THAT YOU CAN DEVISE A PLAN TO STOP ME AS I'M TELLING YOU WHAT I PLAN TO DO! YOU'VE LEARNED EVERYTHING ELSE I'VE TAUGHT YOU; JUST LET ME HAVE A MOMENT WHERE I CAN RUB MY HANDS EVILY AND HAVE A MANIAC LAUGH LIKE SO! MUHAHAHAHAHAHA MUHAHAHA!" The upper half of her body bends backward as some ominous purple Japanese words appear to the side as she continues.

Zuce raises an eyebrow.

"That doesn't sound menacing. I think you're trying too hard." She bends back and sighs and rolls her eyes. Huffing and puffing, she blows her hair back to place.

"Don't be like that. This is more practice for you! Let's get back to it. AND WHO STANDS IN FRONT OF ME? A WORTHY CONTENDER, YOU MUST BE TO CHALLENGE ME! OFFER ME A NAME SO WHEN I KILL YOU, I'LL RECOGNIZE YOUR COURAGE IN FIGHTING ME!"

Zuce shrugs.

"I'm still not feeling it." Kara groans.

"Fineeeee, let's just get to the fight sce-"

"ORA!" She sidesteps right as an incoming fist zooms by, and it glazes her cheek. The punch emits a stream of wind.

"You sneaking little sh-" Kara feels the oncoming wind from Zuce twirling, and she bends back as Zuce's leg sweeps for her head.

Alright! Had enough! Devastator lunges and shoots a straight punch to the stomach, but a hand appears and catches it. She tries with her other hand, but the results stay the same.

Comet drags their hands and pulls Devastator giving her no time to react. Spit flies out her mouth as Comet lodges her knee into her stomach and twists it before quickly twirling and slamming her other leg into her back. Her plummet creates another cloak crash-pit, but two long blood lasers pierce the veil. Comet crosses her arms and grunts as the Devastator's heat vision finds its mark. Devastator stands and hovers.

"HA!" The beams' size increases and it starts to drive Comet back. One of her arms lowers but with an energy ball in her palm. She luges it, and it speeds towards Devastator. Not seeing the ball, Comet flicks her fingers and it pings her across the face, stopping the heat vision.

With several more flicks, the ball beats her face around before she grunts and dissipates it with a backhand. Glancing over to where Comet is, only a cloud stands. She scans the area in front, but no sign of that pestering hero. With sight failing her, she closes her eyes.

*Whrrr, whrrr, whrrr*

That sounds… behind me?! Twirling, Comet smiles with a big blue ball in front. Their eyes meet. Naught for anything else Devastator could do but… inhale…

"BIG BANG KAMEHAMEHA!"

Sapphire lights flood her eyes. No, not just her eyes. A tsunami swallows Devastator shrieks and hollers as the pain begins and spreads. The blast slowly pushes her as her costume is also tearing apart.

But, gritting her teeth and having her eyes glow ruby, she fires a small shot of heat vision out of the blast. She hears a big groan. and the blast dissipates to reveal Comet waving her slightly singed fingers. Devastator seizes the moment and burrows in a straight double gut punch. Comet has to force the spit out before a hand grabs her face. All she sees is a roughed-up Kara with her outfit torn in several places before it all soon turns into a blur.

Devastator zooms and buries her body into a nearby building. She slams her more once before dragging her face across numerous buildings before the blink of an eye. Zuce's teeth grind as her head is taking the blunt of the force while her body is rag-dolled. A golden aura overtakes her though.

Devastator smiles as she drags across the unlucky hero, but out of the corner of her eye, a gold spark appears. A hand grabs her arm with a magnetic grip and as she turns around, the base of the hero's shoe implant in her face.

She rag-dolls through the air and far but manages to regain stability before noticing a shiny person zooming to her! Her eyes glow once more, and she releases her powers! However, the heat vision flies above Comet, but she pays no attention to it. Just a lousy shot. With other time to react, she crosses her arms and takes a wind-rippling blow in the middle of her left arm. A golden spiked hair Comet unleashes a fury of barrages. Devastator curls as several blows burrow into her stomach and some saliva drools out.

As Comet unleashes a right jab, she catches it and her other fist.

"Decide now, hero! You can either stop me or let those people die!" Devastator nods to her right, and Comet bats an eye to see half of a tall building about to fall on civilians. They all scream and shriek and shrill. Some try to run away but are hit by objects falling out of the windows. Comet switches back to Devastator for the devilish grin only for her head to lunge. She headbutts Comet and her grip loosens.

Falling out of the sky, Comet shakes her head and rubs the spot. Glancing up, Devastator is getting away with the money. But something else catches her attention. A little shriek. She flips around and sees a mother covering her daughter in a hug. The child is crying while the mother is whispering something, anything to the daughter's ear. Her body seizes and eyes widen.

Fire. Crimson fire on houses and people. Blood. Scarlet blood coursing through the dirt. Despair. Despair as the mother whispers. 'It will be alright.' A woman stands in Comet's vision. No, is on the ground and has her arms wrapped around her. A child, a little Comet with tears pouring. The woman's face courses with scarlet blood but she can see it. Her black pupils and her distinctive long hair. Her mouth moves but no sound comes. Their bodies touch but no warmth to comfort them. Zuce's body tenses as all the countless voices throughout the nightmares echoes. Familiar voices detailing how she failed them all. The voices cross over and seem to be a mixed bag but she, she understands them all.

Comet's gold aura spikes and she rockets with her hands cupped. Another blue orb forms, but this one is exponentially spinning faster than the ones she has used before.

"AHHHH! KAME-" She's a good few hundred yards away, and the building is closing into plummeting. Her speed causes windows to break several seconds after zooming by. Gritting her teeth, she clenches as she stares at the helpless mother and daughter. The building is mere feet away from their heads, and she's almost there! But even with her top speed at Super Saiyan, it'll be too late! The shadow hides away their light.

"RAHH! HAME-" The orb grows to the point that she can't cup the blast. Only a few inches more and they'll be flattened! The woman hugging the little Comet slips and falls to the dirt. A hole through her stomach. Blood seeping from her wounds. No, not like this… I don't want to see it. NOT EVER AGAIN! ALL THOSE NIGHTMARE, THEY ARE WRONG. I CAN SAVE THEM! A burst of red aura surrounds Comet as she closes in. Not just her, the entire room is red. Devastator snaps her head as a light color scheme paints the whole room. From gold to crimson hair, she extends her hands as she reaches underneath and to the middle. Twirling, the orb contacts with the debris.

"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" It's too big, too wide, too massive to be called a blast; it's more like the explosion of a dying star. The attack consumes the whole fallen integrity. It pierces to the sky and slams the ceiling. All that caught in the tidal wave evaporates to nothing. She screams out as Kamehameha wave dies down.

Nothing is left of the building. No dust or ash. Not a particle remains. A huge dust cloud covers her.

Comet breathes in rapid succession as her hair and body revert to black. Her hands tremble as faded memories of that day roll through her mind. She clenches them into fists and slows her breathing. The wind picks apart the cloud.

The people, the building, they all blow into the wind as they fizzle out. The ceiling has a massive burnt out mark almost covering the whole dang thing. Kara flies in and lands near Zuce. Placing a hand on her shoulder, Zuce bats an eye. She's met with soft eyes and a quivering lip. Her breathing steadies and lets go of the fists. Her eyes dart back to the white panels of the room.

"Hey, you alright there?" Kara doesn't need to use X-ray vision but instead, her hearing can the beating of Zuce's heart, and it's going off like an M60. But she wants to hear from her friend.

Zuce takes a deep breath and exhales.

"I-I'm fine. I was crunched for time to save those people. I-I let off a bit too much when firing that b-blast." Kara sighs and relaxes. Damnit, not again! You're lying to me. Whenever you get so emotional, that's when the stuttering starts. This has to stop! I'll confront her in my room.

"Come now, hand me a Senzu bean and we can leave. Black Canary needs to train Blue Beetle. And she's exceptional pestering when it comes to time." Zuce nods and they walk out of the room munching on the bean.

"OH DIO MIO WAS THAT AWESOME!" A blue insect armor covered human's eyes spark as they exit through the door. He starts rambling about in Spanish and English at the same time of which I don't feel like typing despite four years of Spanish.

"Thanks, Blue."

"Hey, Jamie? Why don't you enter the room? I just need a few minutes to adjust a few settings." Kara's eyes catch Dinah's 'We need to talk.' Kara receives the signal and turns to Zuce.

"Hey, I'll catch up with you at the usual spot. I just need to uhh- help Dinah with the simulation that's all, ok?" Zuce nods and leaves by the elevator. Blue Beetle stands in the middle, all hyped up as well as stretching.

As the door closes, Dinah turns to Kara. And she sighs.

"What the hell happened in there?! She almost destroyed the room even with the new calibrated panels!" Kara also sighs.

"Everything went fine! I don't know what went wrong with saving the civilians! She's been excellent at following most of my directions and learning fast how to be a superhero."

"I'm checking the feed as we speak."

Moving to a monitor on the panel, she goes through the feed until it displays the falling building. The feed also shows Zuce's widen eyes and tense body language. Dinah squints and places her finger on Zuce's eyes. She traces the direction to the mother and daughter.

"Oh…"

"This is what set her off." Continuing the feed, they are met with a crimson red light which blinds the camera. The feed ends after a few seconds of the dust settling and Zuce is back to normal. Kara scratches her chin.

"At best, I think she let out too much because she didn't want anyone else to die. I'll talk to her later today." Dinah scans the feed before sighing. Away from the monitor, she stands in front of the door.

"Her emotions get the betterment of that situation. I hope you're able to teach her how to be calm and collected."

"I know, I will."

And with that, Black Canary exits into the room. Kara sighs before sharing a glance at the monitor. What's been going on with her? We were doing so well first few days! Then she drastically changes as the month goes by! Kara covers her face with her hands and moans.

"Maybe, the stress of all of this is getting to her. I don't know. Damnit…"

Watchtower Lounge

Cyborg, Nightwing, Beast-Boy, and a redder Flash all share quick glances at each other's eyes. A beat of sweat drips from Nightwing's forehead as he glares at the cards. Beast-Boy stares at his hand as Flash catches his glance. Cyborg smiles through and through. Flash mutters to himself and takes a sharp inhale.

A finger taps the green circular table. Tracing it, one Tamaranian with a green cap smiles as she taps the table again.

"Are you ready for the laying of the cards?" They all take a breath. Beast-Boy chuckles.

"Sorry, dudes, but I get to choose the place tonight! Full House!" He reveals his cards! Gasp! Two Aces of Spades and three Queen of Hearts. He has a cheek to cheek grin as Flash rolls his eyes and sets his cards.

"I fold."

"WUHAHAHAHAH! I'm so awe-"

"I wouldn't say that. Straight flush." Nightwing lays his cards to reveal cards from four to eight. Beast-Boy deflates and is left with a frown and crosses his arms. With Nightwing, he has the biggest grin. All that cockiness now transfers to him as he eyes Cyborg.

It all comes down to Cyborg. All eyes are on him as he lifts his eyes. His arm reaches Nightwing, and he gets a pat on the back.

"Man, there's almost nothing that would be that! Nightwing, you've been a good adversary in our card game. Frankly, I hope for the best."

"Ah, thanks, Cybo-"

"BECAUSE I WON! ROYAL FLUSH, BABY!" HE SLAMS THE CARDS AND THE OTHER CARDS LIFT FOR A SEC BEFORE FALLING DOWN! AN ACE, A KING, QUEEN, JACK, AND A TENNNNN! Their eyes widen as it hits them.

"Impossible!"

"BOOYAH! I'M THE KING, BABY!" Cyborg gets out of his chair and dances a shuffle.

A few feet to the side, Zuce leans on the railing as the sun inches farther away.

"Noooo, my hand was so perfect!"

"EAT IT!"

A smile escapes her as the bantering continues. A smile that cuts through the abyss of her dreams. The warmth of the sun shines spreads all over her body. But the smile disappears. Did I make the right choice? Joining this band of superheroes? Her body leans more on the railing before she pulls back.

"Yo, Comet, you want in on this? You may have me beat at food but never at cards!" Zuce diligently turns to address Cyborg's proposal.

"Sorry, not in the mood." Cyborg shrugs and returns to belittling Dick. Turning right, she passes the Teen Titans as they all share a laugh.

"She's so… unwilling to share any more about herself! And it's frustrating!" Kara prances in her room with a phone in hand.

"You going at it as a teacher or friend?"

"Both! Being a superhero alongside the Justice League is a huge burden. She has a problem trying to stay calm and collected when I tasked her to save people and something just snaps when she sees people in danger! Today, she unleashed two attacks that almost destroyed the room!"

"Which ones were they?" Kara rubs her eyes together.

"The Kamehameha Wave and something red. They were sizes I had never seen before! I didn't ask her about the red blast, but I'd assumed it was probably another attack or so. I've not said anything about it because she's going through some ordeals, but it's gotten to the point of annoyance!"

"How long has this been going?" Kara puffs and collapses on her bed.

"About two weeks now… When we started, she was a fast learner and that most of the people I've introduced her to, she handled herself! Now, she's shy as an introvert! Her friend group consists of me, Donna, Zatanna, and the Teen Titans. I want her to expand her network, have meaningful relations!"

"Maybe, she needs more time in the oven. You did say she was from another Earth and we are vastly different. She might be still settling down and doesn't want to leave her comfort zone. Remember when you came to Earth? You were almost exactly the same way! Just a bit more rebellious."

Memories of a younger Kara flood her mind. How she would be scared and unwilling to converse with others. She ran away from Krypto chasing her because she thought he hated her. How she would rely on Kal through their tongue to get her message across. Kara shakes her head.

"She's a good student and even better friend, Barb. We've gone through a lot together and it's been fun hanging around her. She's one of the people you would never suspect for something like… murder. So innocent but has something brewing in that head of hers." The door opens. A shadow looms to the edge of Supergirl's bed.

"Yeah… you're right."

"I just wish she was more open about her problems. I'm going to confront her about it."

"Oh, I have to go! Take care now." She sighs and throws her phone on the bed… but her hearing picks up the door sliding and turning around, Zuce towers over her. Kara gets off the bed. They are almost at equal height but Kara stands taller.

"We need to talk."

Elsewhere

A city is off in the distance. It is filled with buildings with gigantic holes through their sides along with the many shards of glass. Down on the streets below, cars are littered throughout, broken, beaten, battered.

The streets run red. Corpses are scattered among the roads and highways. The city is quiet with the exception of the raging fire.

However, two people are bolting down the street. Tears and sweat drizzle their face as they race down. Their clothes have holes, hair singed to a crisp, blood oozing from new wounds. An explosion goes off behind them, but they won't look back.

The explosion creates a smokescreen. The smoke darkens as it appears as if someone is waltzing through. They're about 6 feet tall with a slim build. The figure forms a finger gun.

"Conclusion: Love not evident. Goal: Exterminate all life. Ammunition: Pain at 20%." It imitates the motion of a gun firing. A small pink object extends from the tip and zooms.

*WHOOSH* The smoke is cleaved by the projectile, and it heads straight for the green alien's back. The object touches his back and a massive pink slime coats his entire backside. The alien falls to the cold pavement as the other alien continues its flight. The green alien's body doesn't twitch nor try to get up. His eyes roll back. He's dead, just dead. The blue female alien has tears in her eyes as she's next.

"SOMEONE, PLEASE? ANYBOD-" And her prayers are answered as the pink slime coats her backside and she falls over.

The being steps out of the smoke. Its face seems to be attached with several lines separating the main components to a face along. The being has a white fisherman's hat along with an afro underneath. This principle applies to the white exposed parts of its body as it dons a darker white tank top and pants. There's a pink little orb just over his heart. The eyes are constantly squashing and shrinking as if it's calibrating its body or something else. Its expression doesn't shift as it leaves the burning city.

"Error: Love is non-existent on Planet Mort. Result: Failure. Hypothesis: Start again. Analyze: Searching, searching. *Ping* Search Result Compete: Sector 2814.1, It is the third planet from a star, Codename: Earth. Boosters: Engage."

And cut! OKKK, BIG ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM. I'm sorry you guys thought I was dead. The fact of the matter is that I was prepping for graduation and that meant exams and a whole slew of other bs stuff. Afterward, as you know, my laptop which I had this chapter on died and I was stuck on a shitter version of a computer of which I didn't want to type my story using that. It was not until early July that I built my own computer, then I got a bit lazy but found my motivation again to do this longer than a necessary chapter. Truth be told, after the mall scene, I was conflicted on where to go. I thought of adding a hostage situation or a bank robbery. Just something with a villain and they stop them. But I realized I rushed Zuce's arc of the doubt she carries and it was a 2-chapter thing of which I didn't want it to be. Like, the whole scene with Nathol and her was a good starting point, but that's not how I want this self-doubt to be dealt with. I want it to come full-circle and end on a great note.

Ragna: I agree with her not winning every fight, but One Punch Man is a parody of Superman only in powers. Saitama lives a normal human life and so did Clark before he decided to take on the mantle of being the Man of Steel. And also, not every problem can be solved with fists. A good 'fight' scene without punch being thrown is Jotaro vs Darby. Ultra Instinct can't solve technology or riddles; its only use is in combat or unless I can utilize it in some creative way.

SSJR Rose Black: For 5 chapters you've said ZUCC. Jeez, but… thanks for your support. A fundamentally tip I see writers fail at is that gender, sexual orientation, or race doesn't define that character. Sure, it's an aspect of their life and that you can write about it, but it can't be the main point of that character. Take Iceman from X-men, he's gay and that's all the writers are making him how to be. There's a comic dedicated to his past love life with Kitty Pride and it's a bore to read. Write a character like how you would any character; they have traits, flaws, and goals, anything human I would say. Literally, I flipped a coin on the gender of my OC and went along with that.

Kakarotsanimistic: Can you actually criticize me or are non-sensical insults the best your brain cells can muster? It feels like I'm talking to an edgy pre-teen who curses just to get cool points. What's bad about my characters aside from the lack of evidence 'self-insert' of which you haven't shown any evidence how these characters are me in real life?

Guest: Getting good how? My writing needs to be on par with what? You need to be specific as a reviewer. And did you seriously post a URL as a review?

Eavise: Yeah, that was a bad story of mine. I was being edgy at that time, and it didn't roll off the tongue once I grew up with good stories of how to actually write characters etc.

Alternet Redskys: Can you not regurgitate my chapter and be so obvious as to what happened in the chapter? Anybody can see it, because I put it in the chapter.

Petey Rosie: Thank you for that.

02D34th: Not dead. And thanks for the fight.
