Hey guys I'm back again, I am so sorry for the long wait, my brain has been like "What should I do now? What could happen?" etc but I finally got something planned and have written it down so the next chap should be up next Sunday *Fingers Crossed* anyways just a disclaimer I do not own any of the Inuyasha characters or plots/story lines just my own twists and my own characters: Akira (Wolf Demon/Priestess), Akira's parents (Kentaro and Michiko), Akira's brothers (Isamu and Toshio), Akira's sisters (Natsumi and Kazumi), Takara (Akira's companion), Yukiko (Snow/Ice sorcerer *Bad Guy*), Lord Sesshomaru's mother 'Inukimi'. Chapter 18: Strange things
Jakotsu ran out giggling I ran after him "You better hope I don't catch you!" I exclaimed as I ran out of the cave when Bankotsu slung his arms around my waist and pulled me to his body "What's all this about? I hope you haven't done anything to upset Akira" Bankotsu said eyeing off Jakotsu. "Not at all brother, I was stating a fact" Jakotsu said "Fact? Next time don't bother telling me when you have those kinds of ideas" I said he gave a smile and went over to Rin. "Mind if I do your hair?" Jakotsu asked Rin looked over to me I gave a nod "Jakotsu keep in your mouth child rated" I said "Sure thing sister" Jakotsu said I looked to Bankotsu "Tomorrow we may face Naraku his incarnations or my other friends…" I said as I trailed off. "Whatever we face, we face it together until the jewel is complete" Bankotsu said I gave a nod holding back tears "Ginkotsu, Renkotsu, Suikotsu go get some food and more fire wood to last till tomorrow morning" Bankotsu said they gave nods and went off to do as he asked.
We waited around I stayed next to Bankotsu while Jakotsu was with Rin giving her tips on fashion, Lord Sesshomaru seemed a little off for whatever reason it bothered me but I sensed a tense air about him and that told me to stay away. Mukotsu was talking with Master Jaken they got a long sort of, they both had a passion for following their leader "Bankotsu I think Rin needs a second opinion on how pretty she is" Jakotsu called out I looked at Bankotsu. "Go" I said Bankotsu looked back at me giving me a quick kiss on my cheek then went over to Jakotsu and Rin, I stood up and went over to Lord Sesshomaru and just stood by his side I closed my eyes and let my senses take over. The area around us is quiet and calm but there was an unsteadiness in the air all it is like nothing I have ever encountered around I opened my eyes "What is that in the air?" I asked Lord Sesshomaru took a glance at me.
"This air grows thicker in scent, Naraku as grows stronger" Lord Sesshomaru replied I frowned when I smelt Suikotsu, Renkotsu and Ginkotsu coming our way "Lord Sesshomaru where you headed tomorrow?" I asked "The far North" Lord Sesshomaru replied. "Where does your heart take you?" Lord Sesshomaru asked I looked at him acquiring a slight smile, Sesshomaru knew I was always one for following my heart though I would try thinking things through first my heart always lead me. I felt drawn to the West "The West I feel there is something there" I replied "You feel something there?" Lord Sesshomaru asked "Yes not a shard or bad feeling but I feel there is something there that is pulling me there, I can't explain it" I said. "In any case you must be careful and what ever you do you can not lose focus understand?" Lord Sesshomaru said a confused and curious look now overtook my face, Lord Sesshomaru gave me a stern look.
"Understood?" Lord Sesshomaru said "Yes, brother you know something, what is it?" I asked he looked away "You shall find out soon enough just focus on your task" Lord Sesshomaru said my task, what's that meant to mean? I guess I'll find out when I get to the West. Maybe it has some connection to Naraku but surely Sesshomaru would have told me if it was involving him and he would come with me, I don't understand but I will find out what is going on. "Mommy can you help cook the fish?!" Rin called out I looked back and smiled "I'm coming" I called out when Sesshomaru grabbed my hand and looked at me in concern "Brother?" I asked in awe. "After the West head to the far South and to the largest Island closest to the South coast" Sesshomaru said "Why?" I asked "You will know once you are there but I'm warning you now once you find out do not let your anger get the best of you or Naraku has won" Sesshomaru said.
I looked at him in confusion now, what on earth is going on with him? He's never been this way before "Mommy!" Rin exclaimed Sesshomaru let go of my hand and turned his back on me I turned around went over to Rin, Bankotsu and his brothers trying to act like nothing was bothering me. I taught Rin and watched over her while she built the fire, and placed the fish on sticks to cook after we all ate it was somewhat quiet for the rest of the day, I was lost in thought holding Rin in my arms as she slept while I sat in the sun basking in its warmth. I thought over what Sesshomaru had said it was nagging at me "Sister you look troubled" Suikotsu said as he sat by me he was in his healer state, I sighed as I looked at him "I fear Naraku has plans to make me go into a frenzy after him" I said. "You will have us with you and we will not let you chase after him without thinking rationally" Suikotsu said I looked away "I know but there is the fact that all of us have shards we are all targets and major ones he will come after us the more than anyone else" I said.
"Do you still worry over us and the fact that once our shards are taken we will die?" Suikotsu asked I looked at him in awe then frowned "Of course I'm worried for you all" I replied as my ears flicked back "Akira!" Sesshomaru called out. I held Rin my arms carefully as I hoped up and ran over to him Suikotsu followed me, Inu Kimi was in her dog form hovering in the sky not far off I stood not far off Sesshomaru, Inu Kimi looked at me then Sesshomaru, he turned back to me as Inu Kimi flew off. "We must go our parting must happen now" Sesshomaru said my eyes widened in awe my ears flicked back as I looked over Rin "Rin…" I said softly she groaned as she rubbed her eyes then yawned as she stretched. Rin smiled but lost her smile seeing the expression on my face "What's wrong mother?" Rin asked I smiled slightly "You have to go with Lord Sesshomaru now, it's time for us to part ways again" I said she hugged me tightly as I felt a few tears touch my neck.
I hugged her back as I knelt down "It won't be forever I promise" I whispered "I know, I'm still going to miss you mother" Rin said I shut my eyes as I held her closer "I'll miss you too my precious daughter" I said softly for her ears to hear. We separated shortly after and I kissed her forehead and smiled as lifted her chin with my hand and wiped her tears away "Now you be good for Lord Sesshomaru and keep Master Jaken out of trouble" I said. She gave a nod "I will mother" Rin said "Come along Rin" Lord Sesshomaru said and started walking to the North with Master Jaken walked A-Un behind him, Rin ran off to follow I stood up she stopped and turned around. "Bye Bankotsu, Jakotsu, Suikotsu, Renkotsu and Ginkotsu! It was nice meeting you!" Rin exclaimed as she waved then ran after Lord Sesshomaru and walked by his side "She's such a sweet girl, you make a great mother hey maybe you guys still have a chance to make a bundle of joy huh?" Jakotsu said.
I looked away, how could I possibly raise Bankotsu's child without him besides after Naraku takes Bankotsu's shard he will die and I will be with Koga, I sighed softly "Akira where would you like to go?" Bankotsu said bringing me out of my thoughts. I turned to the West "The West there is something there that's giving of a strong pull and I want to check it out" I replied trying to ignore their deaths for a little longer and pretend things were like they were if only for a few more days. "Suikotsu turn out the fire, Renkotsu have we got everything?" Bankotsu said "We have everything" Renkotsu said I smelt smoke and the sizzling and hissing of the fire being put out with water "Fire is out" Suikotsu said Bankotsu came by my side, I looked up at him. He smiled "We'll follow you" Bankotsu said I smiled "Then let's go we have a lot of walking to do and hopefully we can find more shards along the way" I said "Sounds good, alright brothers let's starting walking you heard our boss" Bankotsu said.
We started walking for a few hours even few more after the sun had set we found a place in the forest to set up camp and stay for the night the guys found places to sleep, I curled up next to Bankotsu he had his arms wrapped around me in a tight, possessive, comforting way. I fell asleep quickly but started seeing a woman in my dreams and a female wolf demon she looked like me but not quite she held up a katana it looked fairly similar to mine the dream and ended and I was surrounded by blackness. I felt like I was tied up my hands bound but I felt drained I then heard multiple cries from infants "Your pups are mine now" Naraku's voice rung out, I jolted up in a cold sweat panting heavily as my ears turned back. "Akira?" Bankotsu said I sighed heavily bending my knees up as I placed my elbows on them and my head in my hands I felt Bankotsu's hand on my back "Akira are you ok?" Bankotsu asked "Yes… I just… I had a bad dream…" I said softly.
"Would you like to talk about it?" Bankotsu asked I lifted my head as I ran my hands through my fringe over my ears "Not really, it's a stupid thing to get frightened over" I replied "You know it's ok to be scared right?" Bankotsu said I looked at him with a sarcastic awed look. "Is this coming from the great Bankotsu? I never thought he'd say such a thing" I said teasingly "Shh you'll break my cover" Bankotsu said softly with a playful look we laughed quietly I sighed softly. "Now that's my Akira the one I know" Bankotsu said I smiled "You still know how to make me feel better" I said "Well I would have never consumed the good side of life if it weren't for you" Bankotsu said. He then brought me to him placing a kiss on my lips then parted slightly "Thank you my love" Bankotsu whispered in my ear I smiled "No thank you for taking a chance on me" I said "Go back to sleep it's too early for this…" Jakotsu grumbled.
