Well howdy do everyone. Sure been a while hasn't it? I've been branching out again, though still in the game area at least. I went over to Archive to read a bit then came back so it's been a while for more then just my writing. So it's good to be back. I haven't wrote anything on here for a while and I haven't really added to many of my other fics, but this one is done so I figured I would at least type it out for you all to enjoy until I finished the second of this series.
Well here we go, as usual anything you want me to add to this fic is still open to suggestions this is only the first game. We have plenty of time to get in and change things up a bit.
Disclaimer: I don't own Mass Effect, Bioware does. :D
Previously: Jane and Nihlus went to Feros killed a plant thing, while Shepard made Kaidan and Garrus sick from his driving skills while rescuing Liara, they got to the Citadel Garrus and Jane talked about porn and life while fetching an Asari that mind raped Jane, the end.
Chapter five: Time Spent Among Stars
" Well that sure beat Therum. In hindsight, we should have switched, but you two handled yourselves fine so, all that ends well, and all that." Shepard commented sitting across Nihlus in the briefing room.
" I'm supposed to be mentoring you Shepard." Nihlus pointed out, though he looked amused regardless. See spending time with Garrus was paying off in reading Turian expressions. Shepard laughed.
" Sorry Nihlus, I'm use to taking charge now, the power has gone all to my head, see this is why you don't make me Commander of my own ship and Spectre all in a week." Nihlus returned a laugh at that, his posture relaxing a bit.
" It's fine, you are right. It would have been easier for you and your crew, but we did handle it. It was an adventure at least. You found Benezia's daughter, whom agreed to join your crew, not sure I could have persuaded her to do that. You're doing alright Shepard." Nihlus returned nodding. He crossed his arms over his chest and leaned back slightly in the chair.
" Liara seems trustworthy and honest, I believe she really wants to help." Shepard pushed forward his opinion. He then continued when Nihlus didn't protest anything.
" So Shiala believes Saren has some kind of mind control abilities that influence his crew, including Liara's mother, Benezia?" Shepard questioned and Nihlus hesitated, his mandibles flicking out then tightening back to his face.
" It's unclear, but Shiala seems to think it was the ship Sovereign, not Saren himself, that was changing them." Shepard narrowed his eyes.
" What like an A.I? Is it possible..." Shepard gave his fellow Spectre a horrified look as sudden realization came over him.
" Sovereign is a Reaper." Nihlus mandibles shuttered slightly.
" Then Saren could be being influenced as well." Shepard was giving Nihlus the benefit of the doubt considering he knew Saren the best, but personally thought perhaps Nihlus was in denial. Even if it was true, he needed to be stopped.
" Liara tried to make sense of my vision, it's just as confusing to her, but it cemented her loyalty to the cause at least. Hopefully this cipher can make things clearer." Shepard shook his head.
" I'm worried about what it could do to Jane. I've asked Liara to look inside her mind to make sure Shiala didn't hurt her or the cipher isn't going to fry my sisters brain or anything. This cipher could be the key to finding out the message, or whatever it is, thus where Saren is going, and what he's after. If we learn that we maybe one step ahead of Saren enough to stop him before whatever he plans is irreversible." Shepard commented warily.
" She complains of headaches since Feros, she tried to hide the pain from me, she doesn't want you to be concerned about her. I'm sure otherwise she's no different from as far as I can tell. She doesn't seem to secretly be under Shiala's control." Nihlus said though he shrugged slightly.
" I'm sure you'd know better then anyone though if she seems to be acting off." Nihlus offered, but Shepard wasn't so sure. He barely knew her anymore. She left when she was still so young, whatever life she chose outside of the one he was part of morphed her into someone he wasn't even able to recognize. He hummed to himself in response. The headaches worried him, but he had a headache after Liara looked through his head too, so that wasn't going by much.

Jane wasn't sure what she was supposed to feel after being mind scanned by an Asari, if that was how they had sex, she wanted a refund. She felt exhausted. Hopefully she'd feel better after recovering from the mind rape.
Sadly had never been able to sleep properly, something about sleeping with one eye open and always expecting to be shot in the middle of the night.
Jane had friends, in a very basic survival type way that anyone had 'friends'. She wasn't a fool, they were her people, her team, but they were Mercs and pirates first. They would always choose money over any loyalties they had, it was literally what they did. She wasn't at all offended by it, if she was she wouldn't be in the business she was. That was the same with any relationships she entered.
As a rule Jane never put more then a ' one night only ' stand on her lovers, which limited how well she knew and grew close to, her companions, and fellow merc and pirates. If she had to kill someone she knew down the road, she didn't want to be emotionally attached to them. She didn't want to know that by killing them that she was orphaning some small child on a backwater planet or leaving some parents wondering where their child is. It was better on everyone that way. It was better on her that way.
Jane didn't want to have the burden of killing a friend, so she very rarely made any. It was rough in her part of the world. Something John never had to deal with. Never would. Jane tended to avoid getting close to anyone for that simple reason. It worked for the most part. She kept people at a distance in her personal life.
Sex was either professional or casual, never with emotions, never forever. Jane had to kill a lover in the past, and she'd been foolish enough and young enough to be drawn in emotionally, betrayed, and almost killed for it as well. She promised she'd never do it again. Never let anyone that close. It was too easy to be hurt. Too easy to lose a part of yourself to someone who could easily crush that part.
Jane's tongue flicked over the scar on her mouth. She remembered. The Turian had tried to slit her throat in her sleep. She'd surprised him and his talons had went wide to nick her mouth and ran across her throat too light to do real damage, but hard enough to scar. She'd shoved her gun against his chest and looked him in the eyes as she pulled the trigger and the light left his eyes.
Jane had other lovers try to betray her the same over the years, she got better at routing them out, she had learned her lesson though. Even if people had the best intentions at heart, she couldn't get close. She couldn't afford that. What type of life could she ever have anyway? She could never settle down and live a happy little normal life. The only thing she allowed in her life that she had absolute trust in, was her varren, Falon.
When she was still young with her family, their parents never allowed them to have pets, or a dog. So When she'd gotten Falon, she knew he'd be the only thing in her life that would have her back. So she didn't share the fact she had a pet to anyone who could abuse that fact.
Thus leading her to why she'd just shared the fact she had a pet to someone she barely knew, let alone a C-Sec officer. They could seriously try to one up her by that information. The famous Jane Shepard, never captured because she had no weakness. Falon was a weakness anyone could exploit.
Why was she telling C-Sec things that could get her killed? It wasn't that he had a ' trusting face' it was something else and Jane didn't like it. Maybe that Asari had messed with her brain? Or she was losing it by being in the company of the ' good guys'? That had to be it, otherwise she was letting her guard down around a C-Sec officer and she wasn't that stupid. She hoped.
Though Garrus had brought up something that was bothering her. Nihlus.
They were partners who slept together, he had no reason to betray her at this point, not while going after Saren, but she had no illusions that getting involved with him wasn't stupid. He was charming, and her type sure enough, they could be very good together, he was a Spectre and she a Pirate, that could be useful, but dangerous as well.
Jane liked Nihlus, but she wasn't sure she could trust him forever. After Saren was dealt with who was to say he wouldn't lure her in for Sparatus? Or outright kill her for her crimes? She was a wanted criminal after all. Sparatus had sent many a Spectre after her, why not him? It would be foolish to think that after Saren was dealt with, and the Geth, that there could be anything more.
John and Nihlus would have to deal with how they'd keep the Reapers from returning and killing everyone, and she'd return to her old life. They'd end up on the opposite sides again, him trying to stop a pirating ring and they'd be pitted against each other. It was better not to get to involved now. She really didn't want to have to be on the other end of a gun and looking down the sights at him.
No matter how alike they were, he was still a Spectre and she was just a Pirate. Nihlus was hard to distance herself from. Garrus was right. Nihlus didn't seem okay with a temporary relationship. Though it was nice to be wanted and to not have to worry about waking up with a knife or his talons to her throat. If she allowed it to continue she could be happy for a while, a short while, until it all burned around her and she ended up with a broken heart.
She couldn't keep tagging along with Nihlus forever, he'd get tired of her or realize he worked best alone. In the meantime she had to keep her wits about her.

Shepard wasn't sure why Jane disliked Asari, he was sure there was a long drawn out reason, however seeing the surprise cross Jane's face, instead of the contempt and outright distaste, was new. Jane seemed unsure how to react to meeting Liara which would have been amusing had Shepard understood what the big deal about it was.
Shepard's crew was seated in a circle around the debriefing room, in he middle stood Liara and Jane. Shiala was in the med-bay with Chakwas getting checked out. If Liara found the cipher in Jane's mind then Shiala could give it to him as well. If Shiala somehow messed with Jane's head as a last ditch effort from Saren they kill her.
" Is something wrong? Headache?" Liara asked. Jane shifted uncomfortable, her face seemed bemused and wary as she eyed Liara as if seeing something she never had before.
" Well yes, always since the mind invasion, but no, nothing is the matter, continue." Jane offered turning her eyes away. That was very unlike her, though who was he to say what was and wasn't like her anymore? Liara didn't know Jane, but could clearly recognize it from the concern on his face.
" Are you sure? Am I making you uncomfortable Shepard?" Jane opened her mouth then sighed and closed it and rubbed a hand over her face clearly uncomfortable. A pink tinted the top of her cheeks in a flush of embarrassment, Shepard had never seen her embarrassed before, it was like watching a flower bloom.
" You're beautiful, I've never met an Asari that I was attracted to is all, just lets get this over with." Jane said in a rush, crossing her arm in a defensive way. Liara made a sound Shepard had never heard, a little like a squeak, and there it goes now Liara was embarrassed too.
" I uhm..thank you. I didn't realize, I'm sorry." Liara stammered out in a rush of nerves. She floundered a moment before moving to explore her mind.
XxxXxxXxxXxxXXXXXxxxXxxxXxxxX
" Makers sweet ass cheeks." Jane cursed clenching her head in hands. Liara swayed and Jane automatically reached over and snagged her shoulder to keep her upright.
" You okay?" Shepard was asking them both. Liara answered it however.
" Just dizzy. Accessing your mind was easier, I knew what I as looking for, Shepard her mind was tightly controlled, I had trouble finding the information, though I did find it. It is a cipher like Shiala said it was, and there didn't seem to be any manipulation to Shepard's brain, though I couldn't access the cipher fully, no doubt because she never had the beacon and the first vision." Shepard frowned and relaxed slightly.
" Will the cipher do anything to her?" Shepard asked concerned. Jane was rubbing her scalp with her nails in a massage.
" I unlocked the block that Shiala put on it, but no it shouldn't harm her at all." Liara said with a nod. Jane snorted causing all eyes to fall onto her.
" Yeah thanks for that, feels like a Krogan failed imitating a Turian kiss." Nihlus made a sound at her in displeasure at the reference, Garrus looked fairly sympathetic and equally amused by her example. Shepard just sighed at her.
" But your eyes glowed green like the beacon, no visions?" Shepard asked coming over to take Liara's arm in his hand to keep her steady since he wasn't too sure that Jane was the greatest person to steady anyone. Jane didn't like being fussed over or touched so he didn't bother trying to steady her. He liked all his fingers.
" Seriously? Damn freaky shit." Jane shuttered. Nihlus shook his head at her.
" She didn't get the vision in the first place Shepard, just the cipher. The Cipher is everything about Prothean's, their knowledge, experiences, culture, language. It could be just an effect of learning about them." Shepard relaxed slightly at that.
" I can't speak Prothean now anymore then I could five minutes ago Doc." Jane commented with a frown and a shake of head followed by a wince as it no doubt made her headache worse.
" Look I don't even care, as long as it's not going to fry John's brain I say mission accomplished and I'mma go grab a drink,... or ten." Jane said simply. Liara nodded at her.
" She's correct the cipher shouldn't harm you in anyway Shepard, but if after you feel like explaining anything Prothean do tell me." She joked then frowned slightly.
" I can stay with you while Shiala gives you the cipher just to make sure she doesn't attempt to..' fry your brain'" She sent a amused look toward Jane at the last part.
" Then maybe we can piece things together." Liara said with hope. Shepard shook his head.
" That's fine, but you need to rest first, you can sit and keep an eye on Shiala, but after I want you to go to the med-bay and lay down. The rest can wait." Shepard provided. She was about to protest before Shepard held up a hand for her to wait.
" we were hailed by Admiral Hackett of the Fifth fleet, he needs me to do a few tasks." Liara nodded.
" Don't push yourself Liara." He said gently squeezing her arm just slightly. She sighed and accepted.
" Tasks?" Nihlus asked clearly curious. Shepard shrugged.
" I'm still Alliance, they asked me to look into somethings while I'm out in the area. We can handle them." Shepard offered shaking his head. Nihlus gave him a very slow look.
" Don't be so uptight John, just say ' I got some classified bullshit' and be done with it, you don't have to pretty it up." Jane said shaking her head. He was honestly surprised she hadn't left already to get those drinks she wanted. He snorted at her.
" It is classified." He pointed out rolling his eyes. She plopped down next to Tali as if her strings were cut.
" We found some files at ExoGeni involving Geth and Cerberus, we're going to investigate that in the meantime then." Nihlus offered, he hummed at Shepard then rose a brow plate in a form of raising an eyebrow.
" If the requests get to be too much, be sure to send some our way Shepard." Nihlus added. Shepard eyed him. Was that sarcasm?
" We'll keep linked to the Normandy." Jane groaned suddenly putting her head in her hands then peering up at them.
" That means we're leaving doesn't it?" She asked though she knew the answer already. Nihlus nodded anyway.
" Damn." She muttered. Shepard smirked.
" What's wrong sis getting tired of only seeing Nihlus?" Shepard joked as he helped guide Liara to a chair. Nihlus gave him a foul look for his comment, Jane snorted at him.
" I would never complain about the scenery John, but I do enjoy my precious time among your crew, as short as it always seems to be." She said rolling her flower colored eyes.
" Well damn Jane, if you want him just ask him to come, no subtle hinting needed." Jane actually looked startled then puzzled as if unsure what he was even talking about, a bizarre look crossed her face as she went back over her words to see where it had lead to his words, to find a meaning.
Her eyes went to Garrus and she seemed to understand and paled at the same time. Her eyes looked away nervously. He wasn't quite sure what that reaction was though.
" Um...no thanks." She hesitated.
" If Kryik sees C-Sec handle a Sniper Rifle my place would be thoroughly taken. Though I'd like to test those skills you're always boasting about constantly." Jane joked turning it around in her favor and away from her. She was good at that.
Garrus startled at that, looking at Shepard who was embarrassed enough to give her a dirty look in return.
" We should be going." Nihlus prompted, no doubt sick of their human crap. At least that's how Shepard deciphered his look. Jane stood and embraced Tali.
" Don't let anyone disrespect you Tali'Zorah, they do and you tell me and I'll kick their ass." Jane said with real affection, Shepard had never really seen that from his sister. She was always very closed off and careful. She moved away from the hug and glanced at Garrus and shrugged at him as she came over.
" You too C-Sec, hugs are humans way of showing affection and groping at the same time." She teased. He chuckled and allowed her to wrap her arms around him and squeeze as much as she could with his armor and hers. She whispered something only he seemed to hear because he laughed at her words. He said something back that when she pulled away she was grinning in amusement. She slapped his armor.
" I'd like to see you try C-Sec. Maybe next time." She said to whatever they'd said to themselves. She seemed more relaxed around him then before, perhaps they'd bonded over their short trip picking up Shiala. With Jane it was hard to tell.
XxxxXxxxXxxxXxxxXxxxXxxxXxxxXxxxXXxxX
" Shit, Shit, Shit!" Nihlus glanced into his shared quarters to see Jane reading over some message on her omni tool. He'd never heard her sound so worried, which concerned him.
" Something wrong?" Nihlus asked casually as he wondered inside. She closed the message and her omni tool all together and gave him a sweet smile of innocence.
" No, Why would it be? Are we close to Chasca?" He nodded at her question but gave her a firm look to her lie, even going so far as to cross his arms at her.
" I'm not stupid Jane, what's going on?" She sighed at him and dropped the casual carefree attitude.
" It's just...I'm a pirate Kryik, A criminal. Our lives are very different you know. Eventually after Saren and this mess is done, we have to go back to how it was before. I can't stay here forever, The council will shit out Pyjacks if they found out I was here. Not to mention I do have a life outside all this." She rubbed at her face. He sat at her side.
" I don't expect anything out of you Jane. I like that about you. I can't make you stay, but for now can you at least trust me enough to tell me what came up?" Nihlus offered. It was a peace offering and she knew it. She relaxed her shoulders and brought back up her message.
" Just a problem with my crew, Can you drop me off on Tuntau after this? I need to see what's going on without me there." She revealed. He hadn't expected her to tell him the whole story but he got more then he expected so he nodded.
" Just for a few days at most, till I figure out what's going on, I don't want to miss the fun or anything, but like I said, I have a life outside this mess. It can't be put on hold the entire time. I have responsibilities." He held up a hand for her to wait.
" It's fine Jane. We'll be on Chasca in ten, suit up and as soon as we're finished we'll head toward Argos Rho." She slumped in relief then smiled and stood.
" Aye Aye Captain." He snorted at her.
XxxxXxxxXxxxXxxxXxxxxXxxxxXxxX
The first time Jane had ever hit on him, he'd thought perhaps he'd been mistaken, or she was just teasing him. Realizing she'd been completely serious had peaked his interest. Hell his interest was peaked when she tackled Saren from behind and saved his life.
He'd been with Asari before, he liked humans, but he'd never slept with any. He had been curious about them, but not really for that, Asari were at least similar to human women, so he wasn't opposed to her idea of stress relief. It was normal for Turians, he wasn't sure if it was humans too or if she just knew his kind well enough to suggest it for that reason alone.
To say Jane Shepard was simple was a straight up lie. Nihlus found himself liking her more as time passed, the more he knew about her the closer she felt to him. Yet the further she seemed to grow in distance as well. She was like him in so many ways. They had so much in common. Yet she pushed him away the closer he tried to get.
Inviting her to join him on their quest to stop Saren and the Reapers was the first step to moving the stress relief to something more. She made him feel things he'd long forgotten he'd wanted. She made the ship feel less empty, made his life less empty when she was in it.
He knew she was correct, knew they couldn't ever have a future together and it probably was better to not get attached before it became too late to stop, but he wanted to enjoy it before it was gone. He wanted memories he could keep and treasure when she was gone. She would vanish out of his life as easily as she had come into it.
Was it wrong to want it to last as long as it could? Was it wrong to want her?
XxxXxxXxxxXxxxXxxxXxxxxXxxxXXXXxxxX
" You know, despite the fact I grew up in space, I've never been to the moon." Shepard commented in conversation. Garrus gave him a look.
" But it's so close." Tali pointed out motioning toward Earth. Shepard smiled and shrugged at her.
" There was never any reason to come here, it's mostly just Alliance training grounds. Besides I've only been to Earth a handful of times. I wasn't born there." Shepard reminded them. Garrus hummed, thought Shepard wasn't sure if any of it was with Sub-vocals or not.
" I forgot you were Space born Shepard. Does being Stuck on ground bother you?" Garrus asked curiously. Shepard shrugged.
" Well I mean not feeling the hum of engines under foot feels weird. The smell of flowers and fresh air is different too. The smell of rain and taste of water. But I prefer space, I like exploration." Shepard admitted.
Tali made a sound of protest as Shepard then launched off a rock and then hell broke lose as defense turrets fired up. Garrus took over driving while Shepard took the cannon and Tali stood brushing against him to take the guns.
Two turrets on top of the three underground bases, Garrus dodged as well as he could, even so the Mako's shields kept dropping. Tali kept a steady pace and Shepard fired the cannons as much as he could while Garrus swung the Mako this way and that until the turrets were down and they could get out to go into the first base.
" You know I always thought you enjoyed fixing everyone's problems Shepard, not just exploration." Garrus commented pulling out his rifle as he followed Shepard inside the base.
" I do like helping people. I think the galaxy would be a better place if people stopped and helped one another, being a good person isn't a difficult thing to do." Garrus sighed at that.
" If the Galaxy was filled with Good people it wouldn't need someone to save it from destruction." Shepard smiled slightly.
" There will always be war for something Shepard." Tali commented sadly. He hummed in agreement.
" I just wish there didn't need to be. I'm not saying that we should all forgive and forget everything, but people take things so personally. Some races need to mind their own business and others need to pay more attention. It's about balance. It's hard to find it when there's so much chaos." Garrus tipped his head toward Shepard surprised.
" I hope we get all that poetry when we need a pep talk Shep." Garrus teased.
" Or maybe you should talk to Williams, she quotes the stuff when cleaning her weapons." Garrus offered with a grin under his helmet. Shepard chuckled and turned a quick glance back at him.
" You watching Williams Garrus? Did Jane make you rethink Human woman?" Shepard teased right back. Garrus laughed, but he was thankful Shepard couldn't hear how uncomfortable that had made him.
" Williams isn't very trusting of Non-Humans Shepard. I tend to watch people who watch me." Shepard of course knew that, but he was just teasing and they all knew it.
" You know she did mention kissing Turians, I'd watch out Garrus." Garrus huffed at him.
" I think she'd sooner shoot me Shepard." Garrus retorted right back. They were rushed by mobile turrets entering the first set of doors, well the third set actually. The turrets took down their shields quickly.
Shepard hissed as his shields fell, he boosted them back up quickly, Garrus overloaded a turret too close and debris from the explosion pierced through their armor. Garrus wasn't took worried about himself, he had tough skin, Shepard and Tali were different matters but both didn't seem too bad just then, so he continued the fight.
" Tali used a hack and turned one of the drones against the others. Aiming was difficult when the things bounce and flew all over the place. The rocket blast he dodged quickly, he could take a few shots from the turrets but not a rocket, his shields wouldn't take that too kindly.
The drones were an annoying enemy to face, it got even trickier in tighter spaces like they were forced into. The Drones kept coming and pushing them backward in a retreat. There were too many to rush into the open past them, that would just be suicide. Tali was the one that helped the most, turning the drones against themselves and using their own firepower against them.
When the last drone fell Shepard turned toward them slightly out of breath.
" You two okay? Tali no punctures?" He asked eyeing her suit. It was much more dangerous for her to have a suit puncture then it was them. Tali relaxed her shoulders.
" No Shepard, but it was close. I hope all the bases aren't like this." She said seriously. Shepard made a sound at that, a laugh but it wasn't happy sounding.
" Oh Maker I hope not too." He said seriously. Garrus chuckled.
" With our human shield we barely took damage at all Shepard." Garrus teased to Shepard's putting himself between the enemy and them, he'd noticed Shepard did it the first time they'd ever worked together. He'd been slightly insulted at first before he realized Shepard wasn't doing it because he doubted them in battle. Shepard just wanted them safe and would put himself in harms way before he ever put them in danger.
Shepard laughed outright.
" Hell, not sure how they missed that big ego of yours Vakarian." Shepard returned rolling his blue eyes. Garrus laughed.
They advanced to the back rooms and shot the power supplies to oblivion.
" Helmet back on Vakarian, my suit says we have toxins in the air." Garrus pulled his helmet back on and glanced at Shepard who did the same.
" Did you get shot Shepard?" Tali asked with a hint of concern. Shepard glanced down at the dings in his armor from bullets.
" Still flooded with adrenaline, so I honestly couldn't tell you. So far everything still works. Let's check these crates then hit the next base. we're making good time at least." Shepard said honestly. Garrus made a sound and Tali shuffled her feet in concern.
" I was thinking we'd run to Kepler Verge and see if we can track down your Doctor Saleon then hit Argos Rho for Wrex." Shepard commented as if in thought as he searched thought the containers for any goods. Garrus relaxed at that.
"Thanks Shepard, I can't let that Bastard get away again." Shepard dipped his head.
" We're friends Garrus." Shepard responded.
XxxXxxxXxxxXxxxXxxxX
" Ugrh..." Jane muttered annoyed. Nihlus smirked.
" Problem?" He questioned glancing over at her.
" Come on Kryik you need to upgrade and get some wheels. John has a Mako, you need one." Nihlus shrugged.
" The Mako is loud and large, it's not good for what I usually go for on missions, I tend to want to avoid detection." Nihlus joked. She snorted and waved her arms in the air around them as if motioning to the plant they were walking on.
" Well one day you're going to be on foot, hoofing it again, to your destination and get ambushed and pinned down, or eaten by a Maw." Jane complained. Nihlus' mandibles flickered out.
" You'll be there with me." He commented. She held up her hands and shook her head.
" Nu uh. No way Kryik, I'll be stealing away on the Normandy to take their Mako. You can try to fly away from the trouble like usual and probably get eaten by a Thresher Maw, I on the other hand am not an idiot." Jane protested. Nihlus huffed at that.
" I would think you'd welcome the challenge Jane. Don't tell me you're afraid to see if that Sniper rifle will take down a giant worm." She paused and gave him a slow look in return, narrowing her eyes.
" You find me a giant worm Kryik and I'll show you how to properly kill a Maw." Jane said with a smug look. Nihlus shrugged.
" I don't know Jane, don't humans have a saying about how the bird always gets the worm?" Jane sputtered surprised and turned to see his shit eating grin. She burst into laughter. Wiping her eyes she shook her head amused.
" Let's go bird boy."
End Chapter:
Welp there you go. I apologize in advance for any mistakes. This computers keyboard sticks a lot on the' w's' and 'g's so if I missed any that's my bad. This was a lot of trouble to type out on this crappy thing, so I hope you guys enjoy it at least a bit. It's a bit of a filler chapter but I don't purposely choose the ten pages that come out of this, they just fall however they do when divided, so sorry there wasn't much action this chapter. Next for sure.
Hit me with a review if you have anything you want to say or suggest, like I said the second of this series/second part of the game, isn't finished but this part is, so if you want anything in the future be sure to tell me. I could still do anything with romance in this fic. Can't guarantee I'll do it, but I'll take the suggestions.
Till next time, sorry it took so long. :D
As usual complains, WTF's, and reviews welcome.
