Greetings everyone!
Welcome back to the 7th chapter of "Don't Mess With An Arc".
Now, please allow me to say that I am extremely sorry for the lack of updates and that I do have an explanation that will, hopefully, set things straight.
Recently, I've realized that working on several stories at once was not helping me to ease stress and that some stories will go weeks without an update. So, I've decided that each month will feature a pre-selected story to focus on. To give an example, the month of September was the month of "Operation: Jaune's Dastardly Revenge", which I highly suggest you all check out if you haven't already.
And so the month of October will be the month of "Don't Mess With An Arc". Which means that each Sunday will see the release of a new chapter of the story. And next month will see the re-release of my oldest story "The Knight & The Wizard" that chronicles the events of Volume 4, 5, and 6 as Jaune becomes the host for Ozpin's soul. If you find this idea interesting then give it a read and tell me what you think of it.
In other news, I'd like to personally thank HaveBookWillTravel & benet001 for their suggestions for team names. Thank you both for your contributions and I hope to exceed your expectations. Now it's time to follow the adventures of Team AYSR (Aesir) and their sister-team, Team PNBR (Peanut Butter)
Next Scheduled Update:

Chapter Seven
There were many things Jaune loved about living on a farm. The fresh morning dew that glistened in the early sunrise. The slumber farm animals as they wandered out into the field to graze. The sweet smell of his mother's freshly made pumpkin pancakes. But for the longest time, he had always wondered what life in the big city was like. Did they wake as the sun rose from it's slumber too? Did they tend to their work with a happy outlook? What kind of breakfast did they often have? He may have been just a farmboy from the sticks but even Jaune wasn't oblivious enough to know when his idealism overshadowed his sense of reality.
Seeing the, still, sleeping faces of his teammates all curled up in their soft, warm beds reminded him of his own sisters. It seemed that, unlike his sisters and father, both he and his mother were always the first to wake bright-eyed and bushy tailed the second the sun's flashing rays broke the horizon. And it was looking like here was no different as he twisted his head to gaze at the digital clock that rested against his bedside.
5:25 A.M.
Huh, guess he must've woke up a little later than he expected. Make sense after all of the excitement of yesterday. Even he had to admit that those big Grimm made it somewhat tough for him to go all out. Though, in the end he was able to put them to an end and pass the initiation and could now spend the next four years fighting stronger opponents alongside his team.
But he couldn't help shake the strange feeling he always got whenever someone first saw his strength. It happened very rarely but when it did he could never seem the shake the feeling he got from it. A part of was always ecstatic whenever someone was watching him while another part always felt like a black sheep. Was he really so strange that people would stare that much at him?
Either way, the feeling would leave just as it always had and he hand to start preparing breakfast for everyone. His mother always said that the best way to wake everyone up was with a freshly baked breakfast. Course he still didn't know what kind of food his teammates preferred but if they were anything like his family then he'd need to get started faster than a flea jamboree on an old dog's back.
And so, thanks to years of living with multiple sisters, he was able to get himself together and head out towards the dorm's personal kitchen. Needless to say he was very impressed by it's more modern aesthetic whereas his home's own kitchen was more rustic. Don't get him wrong, he'd always love his home's rustic appearance but there was just something so cool about the modern look this kitchen held. But there was no time to waste admiring the counter-tops as he needed to get everything ready before anyone had a chance to wake up. After all, what better way to wake up from slumber than to be greeted with a table covered with fresh food? Nothing, that's what.
Still, he'd need to be careful. With his overwhelming strength it was easier to destroy than it was to create. But that wouldn't stop him in giving his new friends the best darn breakfast he could. After all, it wasn't like he spent all of those morning beside his mom without learning a few basic cooking techniques. First, he'd need to set everything up then figure out what kind of food the kitchen was stocked with. After only a few minutes, he was able to get everything prepared which only left the hard part of the ordeal, cooking.
First, he worked on the preparing the food so that they'd be easier to cook while still managing to retain their flavor and seasoning. It was easier said than done for a boy like Jaune but there was no way he'd give up so easily. After all, Mama Arc didn't raise a quitter. And so, he worked tirelessly to prepare the ultimate breakfast for his teammates. But, before that there is something that must be asked.
What happens when a boy with overwhelming amounts of uncontrollable strength attempts to work on something that requires delicacy?
The answer... A gigantic mess.
It was not even mid-morning that all of Beacon Academy was forced to awake from their slumber, courtesy of the blaring sirens that echoed through the campus. As hundreds of first-year students, all clothed in their pajamas, ran out of the respected dorms and out into the still grassy wet courtyard. Most notably was the sheer expression of furious rage that was permanently plastered on Professor Goodwitch's face as she and the other faculty members all rushed towards the first-year dorms only to see said first-years piled together just outside their dorm in the early morning.
Her green eyes burning with wrath as she marched towards her students with riding crop in hand. To which she proceeded to thrust her riding crop into the face of the one that was in the wrong place at the wrong time, Ruby Rose.
"Ms. Rose, there had better be an explanation to this." she demanded, causing Ruby to begin furiously shaking in her boots, metaphorically.
"U-Um... Well... I, uh..." the hopeless little red stuttered as she, too, had no explanation as to what had happened and the intense intimidation she had been receiving from the rightly wrathful Professor Goodwitch.
Suddenly, the double doors the first-year's dorm opened, allowing a pillar of black smoke and ash to rise to the warm azure sky as the first-years and faculty members all quickly shifted into their combat stances, prepared to fight off whatever monster that stood before them. But imagine the look of utter shock and confusion when the literal firestarter walked through the black smock with a happy smile on his face and little triangle in his hand, which he then proceeding to jingle with a metal rod. And even in the face of sheer adversity, the boy still retained his smile.
"Breakfast is ready." said Jaune, smiling even as his partner gave herself a very harsh and painful face palm at her "partner's" antics.
...A Few Moments Later...
It was a few moments afterwards that Jaune was "forcibly" ushered to Professor Ozpin's office by a still fuming Professor Goodwicth, leaving the other students and faculty members to clean up Jaune's accidental mess. Needless to say Jaune was not excited to be there, judging by the expression on Professor Goodwitch's face and the tired eyes of Professor Ozpin. It wasn't like he meant to burn the kitchen down... or the common room... or the bathroom... or, nevermind. The point was he was trying to show his appreciation for his friends and things just got... out of hand.
But, unfortunately, no one really cared about what he had meant to do. All that matter was what he had done in the moment. And all it did was remind Jaune of the many, many, MANY times he'd tried to help someone only to make even worse than before. Like the time he tried to help his father install a new section of the house only to destroy an entire segment of it. Or the time his sisters asked him to get their kite out of a tree only for him to break the tree, quite literally in fact. Or even the time he was asked to just sit still and do nothing, he had still somehow managed to mess that up! It was starting to seem like everything he did was just going to make thing worse for everyone around him. Perhaps being a Huntsman was a bad idea.
"Well." said Professor Ozpin, finally speaking after several minutes of harsh silence, causing both Professor Goodwitch and Jaune to glance at the man in question. "We have been meaning to remodel the first-year dorm for some time now." said Professor Ozpin, smiling just behind her mug of coffee as both Jaune and Professor Goodwitch stared at him in shock and confusion.
"Sir, you can't possibly be suggesting that what Mr. Arc had done was beneficial." stated Professor Goodwitch, gripping her riding crop to the point that her knuckles were ghostly white.
"I am merely stating that what Mr. Arc had done was make our decision all the more easier. We had already planned to remodel the first-year's dorm come this semester break." said Professor Ozpin, remaining calm even as his right-hand woman continued to glare into his very soul. "However, Mr. Arc, though your actions are beneficial in the long run that does not excuse them." said Professor Ozpin, placing his elbows on his desk. "I am afraid that you will need to be punished for your actions, no matter if they were meant out of good intentions. Do you understand?" he asked the young, overpowered boy that sat before him with his hands in his lap and his eyes casted to the floor.
"I understand, Mr. Ozpin. Pa always said that a man had to make up for he'd done. So, I'll take whatever punishment you deem fit." he said, furrowing his eyebrows as he avoid the headmaster's brown eyes.
"Good." replied Professor Ozpin as he smirk a treacherous smirk, causing his vice-headmaster to have goosebumps along her body at the sheer sight of it. "Which is why from this point on you be Professor Goodwitch's personal assistant during class." said the headmaster, silencing any words from the woman in question with a rasied hand. "And in return, she will assist you with gain better control over your, shall we say, unique strength." he finished, smirking as Jaune's eyes began to sparkle at the promise of gaining better control over his overwhelming power.
Suddenly, without so much as a warning, the young boy zipped over to the still stunned woman, grasping her hand in his as he proceeded to shake in appreciation. Although to Professor Goodwitch she might've well have been shaking hands with Death, itself. And even though Professor Goodwitch's expression was one of furious anger with a mixture of impending doom; Jaune's expression could only be seen as that of a child excited to prove themselves to their heroes as he shook his traumatized professor's hand with rapid succession.
"Oh, thank you, Ms. Goodwitch! Thank you ever so much! I swear on my honor as a proud member of the Arcs that I'll make you proud! I won't rest until I'm doubly sure of it! You can count on me!" he said, rapidly, unaware that the professor he was so adamant about impressing was currently watching her life flash before her eyes.
Suddenly, the sound of a beeper echoed throughout the chamber, causing everyone, sans Professor Goodwitch, to glance at the holographic clock on the headmaster's desk. Seeing the current time, Professor Ozpin couldn't help but smile as he brought the sweet black lava towards her awaiting mouth. Meanwhile, Jaune had released his hold on his, still traumatized, professor as he, too, turned to look at the holo-clock. His eyes widened in alarm at the sight of the current time.
8:45 A.M.
"Oh, crud! I'm gonna be late!" he shouted, bringing his hands to his head before turning to make a break for the elevator.
"Actually, Mr. Arc, I believe this way would be a faster alternative." said Professor Ozin, smiling as he pressed a button on his desk, causing the gears in his office to turn the opposite direction as the roof of the tower opened to reveal the sweet azure sky above. But before Jaune could even muster a response, the floor panel in the middle of the office had flipped on it's back to reveal a secret hidden launch pad. One that had the words "step here" written on it with bright red letters. Without even a word in edgewise, Jaune hopped onto the launch pad with eyes of fiery determination as his headmaster continued to smile with his right index finger hovering over the launch button. "And please, Mr. Arc, do try to not destroy my school before the day's end." he asked with a slight chuckle, causing Jaune to scratch the back of his head out of embarrassment.
And with those words in mind, Jaune smiled as his professor pressed the button on his desk and within a matter of seconds, Jaune soon found himself soaring through the sea of azure blue as the wind raced against his skin. And as he plummeted towards the main school building just as he spotted his own friends and teammates rushing towards the building, not even he knew what the day had in store for him.
