Greetings everyone!
Welcome back to the 8th chapter of "Don't Mess With An Arc".
It's been quite a while, huh? Not counting the "unofficial" previous chapter it's been maybe a month or so since I last updated this story. Well, no need to worry your pretty little heads anymore because for the month of October every Sunday will see the release of a brand new chapter of "Don't Mess With An Arc".
And I'd like to thank for the compliment on how the Jaune in this story is a smarter version of TeamFourStar's own version of Goku. It might sound blasphemous to hear but after watching DBZ Abridged I think I honestly like more than the original dubbed show. Eh, oh well.

Chapter Eight
It was supposed to be a normal first day of attending the illustrious and exclusive Beacon Academy for Weiss Schnee, member of Team AYSR (Aesir).
Emphasis on normal.
But after just barely making it on time for their first period class, no thanks to her future migraine of a team leader, who not only set fire to half of the first-year's dorm building but had somehow managed to destroy a large segment of Emerald Forest through not yet known means. She didn't care how many times she saw it first hand or how many times her dolt of a partner tried to convince her, there was no possible way that country bumpkin could be that powerful. There was obviously a logical explanation involving highly destructive Dust or extremely rare Semblance that she'd most certain look into once she had the time. But as of now, she was determined to stick true to her beliefs that there was nothing special about Arc.
Nevertheless, she was slowly making exemplary marks in her first period class, Grimm Studies, taught by Professor Peter Port. A man well known for his bombastic battle tactics, his unrivaled knowledge on the Grimm, and his, as he would say it, glorious mustache. For all of his...faults, it was quite obvious that behind his drawn out stories of his youth, many of which she was certain were exaggerated beyond belief, were lessons meant to teach them of the dangers of hunting the Grimm. That or he just REALLY enjoyed talking about himself but there was no possible way that an academy such as Beacon would hire a man only concerned about his own pride and heroics... Would they?
Either way, she was still making strides in her studious note taking while her partner and remaining teammates seemed more preoccupied with drawing stupid, not to mention inaccurate, pictures of their very own professor. It was painfully obvious that Prof. Port's stomach was not as round as her partner had drawn it to be. If anything it was more of a pear shape than an orange but that was besides the point. The point was besides Pyrrha, who was working as studious as she had believed her to be, she was the only person on her team of idiotic children who was serious about become a guardian of mankind.
She was so infuriated by her teammates utter lack of seriousness that by the time their professor had finished his story about cabbages and Beowolves she was dangerously close to hitting her breaking point. But what really broke the Goliath's back was how, in Prof. Port's own words, a true huntsman must be honorable, dependable, strategic, well-educated, and wise. And it was becoming quite clear that none of her teammates fit this bold better than she did! And it didn't even take her a moment to answer her professor's call for a volunteer to prove to her no-good teammates just what it truly meant to become a huntsman.
And so, after procuring her battle garments and weaponry, she stood just on the other side of the classroom where she would face her opponent, who rested within a kennel just beside her professor's side, while her two remaining teammates "cheered" her on, unaware to the fact that they were adding fuel to growing fire that was burning within her.
"Goooo, Weiss!" cheered Yang, raising her fist into the air.
"Yeah, represent Teeeeam AYSR!" cheered Ruby, finally putting Weiss over the edge as she turned her head to glare at her childish partner.
"Ruby! I am trying to focus!" she shouted back, causing Ruby to drop her hand into her lap, looking very sheepish beneath her partner's icy glare.
"Oh, um... Sorry..." said Ruby, lowering her head to avoid eye contact with her partner.
Finally, after feeling satisfied that her teammates would no longer try to distract her with their incessant cheering, she turned to face her chosen opponent as her professor raised his blunderbuss axe above the cage's locked door. A moment of silence passed between them before Prof. Port brought down his axe down onto the lock, shattering it and dropping the cage's door. Suddenly, a boarbatusk came charging out of the kennel but luckily, thanks in part to her training, she was able to swiftly and gracefully dodge the would-be charge of the boarbatusk before readying herself for it's next attack.
"Ha-ha! Wasn't expecting that, were you?" said Prof. Port, smiling beneath his bushy mustache as well as re-igniting the cheerleader in her partner, Ruby.
"Hang in there, Weiss!" cheered Ruby, her silver eyes shining as she watched Weiss's turmoil.
Trying to remain focused on her current task, Weiss charged at the still boarbatusk, thrusting her rapier at it's armor-plated skull. Unfortunately, when she attempted to pull the blade for it's entry point the boarbatusk had somehow managed to twist in such a way that her weapon was trapped between it's savage tusks. Struggling to release it's hold on her weapon, Weiss's anger only grew as her professor and partner added commentary to her ongoing battle.
"A bold approach. I like it!" said Prof. Port, laughing loudly. No doubt at her misery.
"Come on, Weiss, show it who's boss!" cheered Ruby, causing her anger to boil over her concentration as she turned to glare at her partner and mistakenly allowing the boarbatusk extra leeway in their altercation as it twisted it's head, using it's monstrous strength to knock Weiss away and toss her weapon behind it, effectively disarming her and leaving her with nothing to defend herself with. And all the while her portly professor continued to add his words onto the pile of annoyance that building within herself.
"Oh-ho! Now what will you do without your weapon?" asked Prof. Port, smiling beneath his mustache as she looked back at her opponent just in time to see it begin it's next charge. And once again, thanks to her training, she was able to just barely avoid it's attack and allowing it to crash into her professor desk. Seizing the opportunity, Weiss rushed to her weapon, sliding it's side just in time to latched onto it's handle and turn to face her opponent.
Unfortunately, it was looking as if her childish partner was determined to cause her strife. "Weiss! Go for it's belly! There's no armor underneath-" But Weiss had had enough of her partner trying to distract her and command her as if she was chosen to be the leader of their team.
"Stop telling me what to do!" Weiss shouted back, finally reaching her breaking point as she turned away from her opponent to glare at her childish partner. Unfortunately, it was soon proven to be her biggest mistake as the sound of her professor's call caused her to snap out of her trance and turn to face her opponent, who was currently charging at her while she became too stunned to move a muscle.
The charging Grimm grew ever closer as Weiss found herself unable to move, retaliate, anything that would cause her to avoid the Grimm's attack. But by the time her professor had begun to move in an effort to protect his student from the beast's attack it was almost too late for her as the boarbatusk was already halfway near her. The only thing she could do was enforce her defensive Aura in hopes that she'd walk away unscathed. But then a miracle appeared in the form of a silhouette that came crashing down from the ceiling above, creating a massive dust cloud that soon filled the classroom, leaving nothing but the sound coughing students to answer the dust cloud's call.
Finally, as the dust settled and the coughing was silenced, the silhouette that had saved Weiss from her idiotic mistake rose to it's feet as the boarbatusk beneath the pile of rubble slowly faded into nothing. Weiss was even tempted to thank her would-be savior for it's assistance if not for one crucial detail. Her would-be savior was none other her her own team leader, Jaune, who was scratching the back of his head with a sheepish expression and a dumb smile on his face.
"Heh, so...um, what did I miss?" he asked, chuckling softly as the rest of the class stared at the boy and the hole in the ceiling in shock.
After some thorough coughing fits in order to clear his throat, Prof. Port looked upon Jaune's form with wide eyes and an open mouth. Never in his entire life had bare witness to such destruction. Such strength. Such absolute chaos. Not even in the Battle for Greensward when he had been but a novice Huntsman had he seen such power radiating from a singular person. And it was...
Magnificent!
Immediately, the portly professor let out a boisterous laughter as he walked near the stunned boy, planting a pudgy, calloused hand on his left shoulder and causing the young Arc to turn and face him.
"Ha-ah! My boy that was quite something! You really know how to make an entrance!" exclaimed the portly man, releasing another bellow of laughter as his students continued to watch the two in shock, none more so than Weiss, who had her moment quite literally taken away from her.
Jaune, scratching the back of his head out of embarrassment, could only sheepishly chuckle along with his professor's boisterous laughter. "Um, thanks... I guess?" he asked, having no clue as to exactly why his professor was commending him on his destroying the ceiling to his classroom.
"Why think nothing of it, my boy!" said Prof. Port, slapping the back of Jaune's back with all of his might, though to Jaune it was more akin to that of a gnat landing on his bare back. "If I had it my way, I would give you a Huntsman license just for the amazing entrance alone! By alas, I'm afraid I can not."
"Oh, that's okay, sir. I still have a lot to learn before I can become a Huntsman. Though I can't wait to learn from someone as amazing as you." said Jaune, smiling up at his portly professor, who was now wiping a tear from his eye.
"Uh, excuse me!" shouted a shrill voice from off to the side, causing the two men to turn their heads and set their eyes upon a red-faced, fuming Weiss Schnee. Her scowl was even enough to cause the two men to shrink back at her volume. "Where have you been all morning!?" she demanded, thrusting her index finger directly towards her team leader's face, who eyed the finger as he remained tongue tied. "First, you destroy the only home we'll have for the remained of the school year. Then you completely disregard our first period class. And you've not only completely stolen my victory from me but you destroyed an entire classroom ceiling as well. What do you have to say for yourself!?" Weiss demanded as Jaune just wore a stupid sheepish expression.
"Um, I'm sorry?" he asked, looking away as his teammate continued to glare at him. It was staring to feel like Weiss was his mother as they both had this uncanny ability to absolutely terrify him to no ends.
"You're supposed to be the leader of out team. Do you know what that means?" she asked, raising her hand to halt his words before continuing over him. "That means that you're supposed to be at the height of mental clarity. That means that you have a responsibility to THIS team! But all you've done is act like an man-child! Ozpin chose wrong when he picked someone like you to be a leader. And frankly, it feels like I am the only one who's taking anything seriously! I deserve better than a partner who wants to joke around during a lesson or a teammate that wants to gossip about pointless nonsense or a leader who thinks it's fun to go about destroying everything he touches!"
But before Weiss could tear her no-good team leader a new one the echoing sound of the school's second period bell rang throughout the school, signalling the end of first period and ending Weiss's words. Suddenly, the ice queen heiress latched onto Jaune's collar, tugging his face towards her's as she glared into his very soul.
"This. Isn't. Over. Arc." said Weiss, scowling at her terrified leader before shoving him away and stomping towards her next class, followed quickly by her partner, Ruby, as she attempted to calm her furious partner.
After watching his own partner, turn and walk away without a single response Jaune was left alone with his portly professor at his side. The man placed a hand on his young student's shoulder in solidarity as they stood in silence.
"While I am enthusiastically impressed by your dramatic entrance, Mr. Arc. I am afraid that Ms. Schnee is right in this regards. You have unbelievable power within you but that also means having that much greater responsibility. You are a leader, my boy. And it is a badge that you will wear constantly. Everything you do from hear on out will not only effect yourself but those around you as well. It is ultimately up to you to decide just what kind of leader you will be." said Prof. Port, smiling softly down at his pupil, who was watching the door where his teammates exited. "Now, run along. I need to explain my lack of a ceiling to Ms. Goodwitch."
Hearing his professor's words, Jaune slowly made his way towards the exit when suddenly a grip on his shoulder caused him to turn back and see his partner, Yang, standing just outside the door.
"Hey there, Lady Killer." said Yang, slightly smirking at her team leader and partner. "Ah, don't you worry your pretty little head over it. I'm sure Ice Queen is just having those first day jitters, that's all."
"No, she's right." said Jaune, frowning as he looked down at his feet. "All my life, I've done nothing but mess things up for everyone. I've tried holding back but it never works. I'm starting to think maybe coming here was a bad idea."
"Eh, maybe it was. But, then again, maybe it wasn't." said Yang, causing Jaune to turn his head and look at her in confusion. "Oh, don't get me wrong. You are like the epitome of universal compensation. Hell, I'd probably go out of my way to say that you're infinitely times stronger than everyone in this school combined. But that doesn't mean you should give up on your dream. Weiss will learn one way or another that your heart is in the right place. And even if you destroy the entire school in the process you can always count on me to have your back, partner." said Yang, smirking as she punched her partner's shoulder. "C'mon, let's get going or we'll never hear the end of it from Weiss-Cream." said Yang, followed by a snicker from her partner, causing her to stop in her tracks and turn to look back at him is shock.
"Heh, Weiss-Cream. Because it sounds like ice cream. That's funny." said Jaune, smiling as Yang returned it, smiling as bright as the sun.
"You know something, Lady Killer? I'd starting to feel like I made the right choice coming here." said Yang, smiling as she and her overpowered partner walked towards their next class.
"Me too, Yang." said Jaune, turning to smile at her. "Me too."
It was but a few moments afterwards when Yang saw her little sister and Weiss standing just outside their second period class. Weiss was still fuming but it was looking like she had somewhat calmed down after having a few words with her little sister. While Ruby had a sheepish expression, no doubt from enduring Weiss's frustrations all by herself. But Yang was honestly too happy to be bothered by the scowl on Weiss's face that was instantly turned on her. Someone had finally laughed at her amazing puns. And not just anyone but her own partner too! Talk about lucky. Sure, Jaune had some, let's say, special strength and sure, it was obvious he had some control issues but what young teenage hormonal boy didn't. She knew that she'd be there to help him out of any jam. After all, she was his partner and that meant being there for them even when they didn't want you to.
"Sup you two. Hope we haven't kept you waitin' long?" she asked, smiling at the two of them as Weiss's scowl grew larger and Ruby's silvery eyes widened in confusion. "What?"
"Where is he?" Weiss demanded, uncrossing her arms and placing her palms on her hips as Yang waved off her anger with a smile.
"What are you talking about? He's right behind me." said Yang, smirking at her two teammates' expressions.
"Um, Yang... No, he isn't." said Ruby, giving herself a face palm as her older sister turned to look back and see that her partner, the boy who had not only taken down three S-Class Grimm without breaking a sweat as opposed to breaking a mountain, destroyed their only living quarters, and the ceiling to their first period classroom, was nowhere to be found.
"OH, SON OF A BITCH!" shouted Yang, clenching her teeth as well as her fists.
...Elsewhere With Jaune...
It was elsewhere that Jaune had found himself in the middle of a robbery with notorious Valeian thief, Roman Torchwick and his devilish minx of a sidekick, Neopolitan as they attempted to avoid the many police vehicles that chased them down. No one knew who he was or where he had come from. All that they knew was that he was the current getaway drive for Roman Torchwick and his ice-cream themed co-conspirator.
"Hurry it up, kid! They're gaining on us!" shouted Roman, dipping his head out of the passenger side window to fire at the police pursuers with his cane while Neo happily ate her tub of ice cream.
"I just wanted to go to class!" shouted Jaune, stomping his foot on the gas pedal in an effort to avoid the police officers as their vehicle drove down the road followed by the ongoing pursuit of the various police cars behind them.
Suddenly, Jaune felt a gentle tap on his shoulder, causing him to turn his head and see little Neo with her cheeks stuffed with ice cream pointing to the roadblock ahead of them. Several police officers had set up a roadblock ahead of the pursuit and it was looking like Jaune's first day of school just might be his last. His knuckles gripped the steering wheel with all his might as he literally stomped onto the brake pedal with both feet, causing it snap in half before his feet proceeded to go through the bottom of the car and into the pavement. Due to his immense level of strength, the car stopped dead center in the middle of the road just in time for the charging police cars to zoom straight past him. And Roman, being the opportunist that he had came to be was quick to take advantage of the situation as he gripped Jaune's shoulder with a smirk on his face.
"Don't just stand there, kid! Make like an old cartoon caveman and let's yabadaba scram!" shouted Roman, his other hand gripping the large bag of Lien in his lap.
And, of course, Jaune, being the kind of boy that he was, went above and beyond the call of duty as he used his immense strength and began to run along the road, carrying the car along with him. And after a few miles of Jaune running away from the police, who had all long since run out of gas and a random helicopter that had been following them for the past few miles before it, too, had to go back and refuel, the two thieves and their unwitting conspirator had successfully escaped the police pursuit. Now, they had exited the vehicle, upon which Roman was quick to, once again, make use of Jaune unnatural superhuman level of strength.
"Well, now that that's out of the way. You mind taking care of this, kid?" asked Roman as Jaune looked back and forth between Roman and the vehicle.
"Um, but shouldn't we give it back to that nice elderly man? Seemed like he was really unhappy about us taking it from him earlier." said Jaune just as Roman place a gentle hand on his shoulder with a conman's smile.
"What, that? Oh, it was nothing to worry about. Why I guarantee you he'll be dancing as happy as can be when he sees the brand new car he'll be getting tomorrow. But we can't just leave this old rust bucket here to gather dust. No, no, no. This old timer needs a true send off. And who better to do that the the guy who took him out for his last joyride?" asked Roman, smirking with a devilish grin as gullible Jaune started to take the bait.
Slowly, Jaune walked toward the beat up old car and placed his hand upon it's roof with a melancholy smile on his face before turning back to Roman and Neo. "Do you guys have anything you'd like to say first?" he asked.
"Uh, yeah... May the gods of cars welcome you in that great road in the sky, old timer." said Roman, taking off his bowler hat and placing it against his chest with a tip of his head. And seemingly from out of nowhere, Neo appeared and placed her empty tub of ice cream in the back of the car before smiling as widely as she could and giving the car a big thumbs up.
And without any other words, Jaune used his immense strength to lift the car over his shoulder before taking a few steps back. With one last silent goodbye the old car that had had his last joyful drive, Jaune took a running start with the old car over his shoulder. And tremendous godly strength, Jaune threw the old time clear into the sky where as he soared into the dark velvety night sky a twinkle was all that was left. And even though their moment was brief, Jaune hoped that that old timey car made to the great road in the sky.
"Damn, kid. I think you threw that hunk of junk clear into Vacuo." said Roman as both he and Neo watched the event with amazement. "Anyway, it's about time we head on home." said Roman before taking out a blank car with his name and scroll number and placing it in Jaune's palm. "But hit me up if you ever need a favor. See ya, kiddo."
Jaune watched as the mysterious man and his ice-cream themed minx walked off into the distance. "They seemed nice." he said to himself before remembering just where it was he was supposed to be going. "Wonder what time it is? If I miss my next class Weiss will surely have another fit." he said to himself, checking his scroll's digital clock.
11:25 P.M.
Upon seeing those numbers all hope died in Jaune's heart as he sighed in disappointment before slowly making his way back to his teammates, where he was doubly sure that Weiss would make his mama proud and rip him a new one. Shame to say but it was looking like Jaune's troubles weren't going to end on his first day of school just yet.
And so, with a heavy heart and even heavier footsteps, Jaune slowly, but surely, made his way back to Beacon Academy. Which was actually pretty easy considering it was nothing but a short hop, jump, and a skip away. Though, perhaps that was due to his mysterious strength and immense pool of Aura, as all it took for young boy as a sort hop towards the middle of a nearby park. To which he accidentally squashed a group of thugs who were trying to rob an elderly man before Jaune rocketed off into the night sky, leaving the pile of thugs in a literal crater. And as he landed on the closest skyscraper that lied adjacent to his school, he ran along the length of the tower's edge before kicking off and soaring towards the edge of the school's cliffside.
However, as Jaune clambered onto solid ground he soon came face to face with the nightly patrol that rounded the perimeter of the academy in search of trespassers or students attempting to sneak out during curfew. And to make matters worse for himself, Jaune found himself staring into the eyes of a very furious Professor Goodwitch.
Jaune could only grin sheepishly as eh felt the tug of his combat professor and future mentor coat his body with his Semblance, lifting him into the air with ease. Even when he had attempted to voice his emotions, the sheer sight of her fiery glare was enough to silence anything excuse that would foolishly leave his mouth. So for now, he had to bear with it as she forcibly led him towards the headmaster's office, whose emerald tower shined in the darkness, almost like a beacon.
Either way, it didn't take long for Prof. Goodwitch to bring him to the desk of Prof. Ozpin, who's telltale bag under his eyes and a playful little cat lying on his lap as he held a mug of piping hot black coffee. But what really threw Jaune's mind for a whirl was standing just a few inches beside Prof. Ozpin's desk. There, standing in nothing but their pajamas, were his three teammates. And they were not at all happy to be seeing him this late at night.
Upon seeing Jaune being brought into his office via Prof. Goodwitch's Semblance, Prof. Ozpin reluctantly released a tired sigh before placing the tiny cat back onto the floor, where it then proceeded to move towards a nearby cat door adjacent from his desk.
"Mr. Arc, do you know what time it is?" asked Prof. Ozpin, placing his elbows onto his desk as Prof. Goodwitch released her telekinetic hold on Jaune's body, causing his drop to the floor before scrambling back up to his feet.
"I-It's, um, evening... sir." said Jaune, lowering his head to avoid his headmaster's hardened glare.
"And would you care to explain as to why you not only missed most of your introductory classes but also somehow managed to involve yourself in a police chase with the notorious, Roman Torchwick as his getaway driver?" he asked with a damning expression. As if to say that any lie Jaune would say would be met with a swift kick to the groin.
"I, uh, I was... Um..." he slowly began to stutter as he glanced at the expressions of disappointment on his teammates' faces. Jaune was disgusted with himself. Here he was granted the opportunity of a lifetime to not only gain better control over his immense strength but also meet someone who he'd finally be able to go all out against, and his goes and blows it. There was no excuse Jaune could ever hope to give that would make everything he's done throughout the day as anything less than some first day jitters. So, with a heavy sigh, Jaune relented to his professor. "I have no excuses to give, Professor Ozpin. I've done the worst thing a man of the Arc clan could ever do. I swore that I wouldn't mess up this opportunity that was presented to me. But it seems just like everything else... I-I... I fucked it up, again." he said, looking up at his teammates with eyes filled with remorse. "Weiss, earlier, had said that I had a responsibility to my team. But even though I wanted desperately to prove to her that I could be a leader she could be proud of... I still managed to screw it up. And when Yang tried to cheer me by saying that she'd always have my back... My idiotic sense of directions only caused me more strife. I destroyed what would've been their home for the next four years of their lives because I can't control this goddamn strength of mine!" he screamed, punching a fist-indented crater into the marble floor of Prof. Ozpin's office, causing the four women to gasp and step back in awe while the headmaster remained unchanged by his action. "Even now, all I do is mess everything up! I don't deserve to be here! Around all of these people who tried so hard to be here. I'm nothing but a... a freak." he said, lowering his head as droplets of tears dropped into the fist-indented crater below.
Suddenly, Jaune felt a pair of arms wrap themselves around his body, causing him to glance up, half expecting to see his partner or even the little red riding gothic lolita. But imagine his expression of shock when he saw the telltale sight of white as snow hair cascading down a light blue nightgown like a frozen waterfall. Never had he ever thought that Weiss would be the first to open her arms to someone like him. Without even a single word uttered between the two. Jaune soon felt two more pairs of arms wrap around his body as his teammates held him between themselves.
After a few moments of silence, Weiss released her hold from Jaune's body as she gracefully rose to her feet and turned to face the headmaster's unchanged expression.
"Professor Ozpin, I beg of you, please do not expell Jaune from Beacon Academy." said Weiss, shocking not only Jaune but the others as well. "I would also be forever grateful if you would gloss over Jaune's lack of attendance as well as his involvement with the thief known as Roman Torchwick, as I can only assume that due to having a limited knowledge on the proceedings in Vale that perhaps he had thought the scoundrel to be an innocent bystander in need of assistance."
But Prof. Ozpin's expression remained unchanged through her outrageous requests. "Ms. Schnee , while I will commemorate your loyalty to Mr. Arc, this is not an incident that can swept under the rug. Mr. Arc, no matter how well his intentions might've been, was seen with Mr. Torchwick during their getaway downtown. To many, he could be considered to be an accomplice. What would you have me explain to the press should word get around that Mr. Arc attends this prestigious academy?" asked Prof. Ozpin, raising his right eyebrow.
"Explain to them that Mr Arc was forced by Roman Torchwick to act as his accomplice." said Weiss, her hands behind her back clasped together.
"And, pray tell, what would you do should Mr. Arc's topographical disorientation grow out of control? You and I both know that Mr. Arc's sense of direction will most likely always be impaired and that should it continue it will only lead to more trouble." said Prof. Ozpin, folding his arms over one another upon his desk.
"Then it will ultimately be up to his teammates - no - his friends to assist him in his endeavors." said Weiss, her eyes glowing with determination.
"And should he accidentally destroy another segment of the school?" asked Prof. Ozpin as his hardened frown slowly shifted into a ghost smile.
"I see no problems ahead so long as Jaune gains better mastery over his power, correct?" she asked, her hands unclasping from behind her back.
"Hmm, true." said Prof. Ozpin just as Weiss slammed her palms upon his desk with an icy glare.
"Until Jaune is properly fit to act as Team ASYR's leader then it falls to me to whip him to shape. I will do everything in power to ensure that Jaune becomes a leader worthy of pride. Even if I have to go to the ends of the Remnant to do it. I will help him gain better control of his strength and should he accidentally destroy anything rest assure that I will repair them piece by piece should I have to. I will cure his terrible sense of direction even if I have to mark everything with an arrow pointing to where he needs to be. Until Jaune is ready to be the leader I know he will become, I will act as Team ASYR's unofficial de-facto leader." said Weiss, glaring into the brown eyes of her own headmaster as his ghost smile changed into a playful smirk.
"And what will you should you fail in this fruitless endeavor?" asked Prof. Ozpin, leaning back in his chair as Weiss continued to glare at him.
"Then, on my word as a proud member of the Schnee family, that should I fail to make Jaune into a leade befitting this team... then I will leave Beacon Academy of my own free will." said Weiss, utterly shock her teammates as well as Prof. Goodwitch, who had dropped her weapon down onto the floor.
"I must say, Ms. Schnee, you have impressed me. According to Peter's words, you were thought to be an arrogant child who only knew how to whine and complain about the things she couldn't have." said Prof. Ozpin, smiling despite Weiss's rebuttal. "But, now I can see that perhaps we were both wrong in our first glances at you, Ms. Schnee. Very well, though it isn't unheard of, until Mr. Arc has reached a level befitting the requirements to become a leader, I will grant you, Ms. Schnee, temporary leadership position. Provided you do everything in your power to ensure that Mr. Arc becomes a proper leader. I will also explain Mr. Arc's involvement with the Mr. Torchwick but understand that I will have no control over what they inevitably choose to broadcast to their audience."
"I understand. Thank you, Professor Ozpin." said Weiss, bowing her head before coughing and signalling the others to do the very same. Upon raising their heads, Weiss quickly turned towards the elevator, followed quickly behind by Jaune, Yang, and Ruby. "Now, if you'll excuse us, Professor. We have an early class tomorrow and we must retire to our temporary chamber. Should you require our presence we are located in Tent number 45 in the eastern quadrant of the academy." said Weiss, smiling like a businesswoman who had just sealed the deal with a prime client as the elevator doors closed upon them, leaving only Prof. Ozpin and Prof. Goodwitch alone in the office.
Silence fell between them as the same cat from before walked out from the adjacent room via the cat door before clambering back onto Porf. Ozpin's lap. The headmaster smiled softly as he proceeded to run his hands along the cat's furry back as Prof. Goodwitch turned to glare at him.
"You had no intentions of expelling Mr. Arc, did you?" she asked with a hardened glare.
"We are in a time of need, Glynda. And though Mr. Arc's strength comes at a cost, I am quite sure that he is the key to winning this war. Perhaps, I may even finally have a peaceful slumber." said Prof. Ozpin, turning his swivel chair around to look up at the shattered moon that hung above Remnant's black starry sky. "And remember that Mr. Arc will also be under your care during classes."
"Ugh, don't remind me. I honestly don't understand as to how I am supposed to set up matched against a boy like him." said Prof. Goodwitch just as her employer turned in his swivel chair with a shit-eating grin.
"I'm very glad you ask, Glynda." said Prof. Ozpin, smiling as several alarm bells rang off in Prof. GHoodwitch's head.
Whatever idea Prof. Ozpin had for her, Prof. Goodwitch was sure of one thing.
That no matter what happened from here on out, she could most definitely say that all of her problems began on Jaune Arc's first day of school.

Greetings everyone,
Just wanted to leave a quick little author's note.
I actually got this chapter idea the night before after re-watching Disney's Hercules and I realized where I wanted this story to go. In the animated movie, I showed a young and ironically scrawny Hercules being unable to control his godly strength and as such mostly ended up causing morse problems for those around him. Much in the same way as Jaune. And just as Philoctetes trained Hercules to become a true hero, so, too, will Weiss train Jaune to become a true leader.
So, I guess that makes Weiss our Phil. Hurray!
In other news, I don't care if it's not canon. The Professor Ozpin, I know is a lover of that sweet black lava we all know and love. Black coffee is headcanon forever!
Till next time!
