Alewar8: Sup guys? First off I apologize for not updating and second I apologize because this isn't the next chapter for Asher. It is Locien's adventure in Overwatch. Anyway, Loc has brought to my attention that the chapter I've been working on does not coincide with what I typed out in previous chapter and as such it is taking me longer to bring out the next installment. Still, I hope you guys stick around to read, and ya know, have patience with me.

Loc: If I have patience with you then so will they, don't forget the big announcement regarding the other stories. Oh yeah sorry for grammar mistakes, I am fixing them still sooo yeah.

Alewar8: Right, Right...so I'm deleting the DMC and Assassin's Creed story. Assassin's Creed was originally supposed to end in the death of the DeAngelo family in Florence. Sorry for anyone looking for the next installment. Anyway, that's that.

Loc does not own Destiny, Bungie does and Blizzard owns Overwatch.

Adventures in Overwatch: Part II

"Do you honestly think it a good idea Locien? After all, we're not even sure we'll be able to get back to the Reef." Locien stared at Cody as he snuggled deeper into the mess of pillows. Miluion knew his words were falling on deaf ears. Once Locien got something into his mind he wouldn't listen to anyone unless Miluion managed to slowly change his mind over time. He would have to use that approach here.

"I know you think there won't be a way back but I know there is." Miluion went quiet and Locien knew his partner was getting ready to convince him during the time they were stuck there. "Miluion do you have an idea where Lena is?"

"She is heading to the Overwatch Museum, it seems our wanna-be Awoken friend has decided to target an item stored there." Locien gave a distinctive grunt in question. "It seems to have been a piece of equipment someone called Doomfist used. It appears they are retrieving it under someone's orders." Locien hummed and gave the Ghost a shrug. "If we are going to convince them to not only believe us but to help us then we have to find a way to get to New York."

"We shouldn't leave until we've told them so. Miluion, in order to protect these two we need to figure out what these guys are up to." Miluion gave his guardian an unimpressed look which caused Locien to give one in return. "Right, no time but maybe Uktra will know where we can sneak aboard to get to America. Besides we can't just leave them without at least saying goodbye." Finally the Ghost caved and let out a long, drawn out sigh.

"You should rest then, I'm sure Uktra and Cody will be up by tomorrow. " Locien knew his partner had a point and so he took a deep breath and leaned back against the desk Uktra rested on. He would need to steel himself, if Miluion succeeded in convincing him to leave these two here then he would at least come up with a way to have them safe.

Locien had not noticed when morning came, Miluion had not woken him and neither had their new friends. He woke on his own and that's what was extremely strange to him. He woke to the aroma of food and artificial light coming from what he assumed was the kitchen. He stood and stretched, his bones popping in all the good ways. He gave deep sigh before heading through the open door. There he spotted Uktra cooking pancakes and Locien gave a groan at the delicious smell. Uktra turned to look at the Awoken man. "If they're as good as they smell then I am calling you the Pancake God."

"Prince Loyen!" Locien turned to find Cody wearing one of his cloaks and the old visor from when he first woke up to his Ghost. "Milwee gave me cool stuff to play with!" Locien felt a smile pull at his lips at the sight of the child. Moira would simply love Cody as a adorable as he is acting.

"By the Traveler Mr. Cody!" Cody giggled in response as Miluion floated around the boy. "You could be a Guardian and a Prince yourself." Locien picked up the six year old and threw him over his shoulder then started running around. Cody started laughing at the spins Locien did and the Rogue himself hadn't felt this relaxed since Moira talked about having children. He nearly had a heart attack, she had told right after the Vault of Glass fiasco. Soon, though too soon according to Cody, he set the boy down and ushered him to the kitchen where Uktra set down a plate of pancakes. Miluion now hovered near his partner. "Time to eat buddy so wash your hands alright?"

"Prince Locien do you wish to accompany us for Breakfast?" Uktra asked as he hoisted up Cody to the sink.

"If it isn't a bother monsieur Uktra, I do not wish to impose more than I already have." the Omnic tilted his head as he set down Cody who whooshed into his seat and started eating the pancakes.

"It is we who imposed on you Prince Locien, your help has given me another day to raise my son." Locien felt a stab of dread in his chest at the careless (more like calm) admission and Miluion knew then and there he would need to convince his Guardian that perhaps Lena can help them stay safe. "It is no bother to have you stay for breakfast, nor is it a problem for us to house and feed you for the remainder of your stay." the Rogue swallowed thickly at the kindness the Omnic was showing. He and Cody were taking it rather well, his appearance and that of his gear. Uktra noticed his hesitation and hummed before wetting a rag and wiping Cody's face clean. "Something troubles you your majesty?" Locien snapped out of his thoughts and gave an easy smile.

"Only the fact that you continue to address me as Prince," Locien sat down and gladly snatched a pancake. "Please call me Locien and it saddens me to learn of the hardships of this life." Miluion sat himself on his partner's shoulder as he ate the flat, round bread in his hand.

"It is a life I adapted to and..." he looked down at Cody for a moment. "I would not change a thing. I care very much for my son and I would do anything to keep him safe and healthy." Locien stopped mid bite at the confession, it both broke and warmed his heart. "Do you have family?"

"I have a wife...she uh, she recently spoke of wanting children." he confessed with what he hoped looked like a nonchalant shrug. Miluion gave an almost silent chuckle at the memory of Locien's shocked face as Moira hugged him after he returned from helping the Dragons in the Vault of Glass. "Well, she blurted it out once. It was bad timing on her part so my reaction was not...adequate."

"You failed to look joyed at the idea of children." Uktra simply stated and Locien gave a huffed laugh. He was grateful for the Omnic's bluntness, it gave him a chance to explain his lack of joy.

"I had just returned from a three day battle in a vault filled to the brim with ve-well enemies trying kill us that is. Not to mention the fact that we were teleported through time and space repeatedly until we found the ringleader." Locien gave a full blown laugh at the face Moira made when he didn't answer her before he fainted from lack of food and rest. "I was bedridden for the rest of the week, I wasn't eating and was on constant watch while in the vault. Then after, I was off again to help the Tower with the remaining flux gates around Venus and Mars. We never got the chance to speak about her sudden interest in children. I had actually just returned home to see her when Rafiq insisted I see to the technology we acquired from the vault and I ended up here instead." He finished off the pancake and grabbed another as he sighed. Uktra was confused but got the gist of what the Rogue was saying.

"If you coming here was an accident then, do you think she will be worried?"

"I'm sure everyone has already been alerted about what happened." he replied and sat back on the stool. "Rafiq was there when it happened, one of two things could be happening right now." he held up his pancake. "One, Rafiq is trying to figure out where the flux sent me when it activated and get me or two," he waved around his cake. "The Queen has made the decision to not mess around with the tech at all."

"If you can travel to Mars and Venice, why not contact your Queen and your wife so that they can send transportation for you?" uh-oh, Locien thought, here goes nothing...or everything. But before he could answer Miluion floated in between them.

"For your safety and that of young Cody, I believe it is best that you do not know the entirety of our situation, at least for now." Locien sent the little machine a glare but he conceded to his point. Still, he could see that the little machine's answer did not sit right with the Omnic father.

"I see, then is it too much to assume that you will be staying for a few days?" Locien polished off his pancake to keep from answering so Miluion took it upon himself to reply.

"I'm afraid we will be leaving today, we need to get to New York." Uktra tilted his head again. "We require the assistance of Overwatch, their technology may hold the key to returning." Uktra gave a snorting sound at the mention of Overwatch. Huh, maybe these Omnics weren't too different from the Exos.

"I do not fault you for your reason, however Overwatch has been dead for more than twenty years." Locien nodded, signalling to Uktra that they already knew this. "There might be someone who can help you, his name is Winston. I hear he is very smart, for a gorilla." Locien gave a confused look to the Omnic who gave a short chuckle in response. "His location is not in New York though, last I had heard he took refuge in Gibralter, on the northern border of Spain." He once more turned to cody with the rag.

"No, he isn't there. Miluion was able to track down Lena, a former member of Overwatch, who we had a brief encounter with here a week ago. She and Winston are on their way to New York, I believe they caught wind of a ploy regarding the assassin of Tekhartha Mondatta." Uktra's head snapped to him so quickly that Locien blinked in surprise.

"You saw his killer?" Locien nodded. "You know who they are then, you can catch them and bring us justice." The Rogue gave a sigh.

"I witnessed the death of a peaceful leader, the reason his final words were possible was because my own bullet managed to hit hers so that it would not hit anything vital." Miluion sat at his shoulder once more. "Lena was trying to stop her but she was injured, if I had gone after her then perhaps I would have detained her however that would have cost us the life of Tracer." Uktra sighed. "I can go after her but I cannot interfere too much in the affairs of this world, no matter how much we wish to."

"Dad can I go play?" Uktra's hands clenched into fists.

"I shall accompany him Uktra, if anything should happen I will alert you immediately." Uktra nodded once and Cody ran out of the house with Miluion floating after him.

"Then why, I wonder, did you bother to save me?" Locien's face grew serious and his eyes hardened at Uktra's implications.

"It was the right thing to do," he answered shortly and continued before Uktra could begin to speak. "No, we did not help you so that we could have housing and food. I was doing fine without you for the last week. We did not save you because you could give us information, Miluion and I can procure that easily between the two of us. We interfered because, as conflicted as we are, you are still alive. You are a sentient being that has taken it upon himself to father this child when he could have simply left him when, I assume, others did." Locien's stare bored into Uktra. "I've been given the title of Prince and Guardian, I take both seriously."

"But you are not going to assist in the capture of Tekhartha Mondatta's killer." the statement made Locien flinch internally but he remained passive on the outside.

"If it comes to needing to interfere once more then yes, I will aid in her capture but let me ask you this." Locien leaned forward. "There are no people on this planet that look like me, except for one. Her skin is blue like mine, she is the assassin from that night so tell me...if I were to capture her and they see me will they not think I am responsible as well, that my aid is just ploy to get to someone else?" both stared at one another for a short moment before Uktra conceded to the man's point.

"There is a way to gain transportation out of London." Locien nodded for him to keep going. "Pay someone enough and they can sneak you onboard a merchant's ship." Locien face-planted the table and groaned. He's not like most people who consider themselves of "noble blood".

"I don't have currency and if I'm gonna be smuggled I can't go through the gangs, I may or may not have been interrupting their activity lately with my snooping." he sighed as he sat back up. "Next best thing I do is sneak myself on board but my stealth tech doesn't hold long enough to get in between the people boarding transport."

"We can get you transport, I believe I may have enough to pay for your passage." Locien gave the Omnic a strange look. "It is the least I can do to repay you."

"I don't want to take your money, you don't need to repay me for anything. I'll manage somehow so don't worry okay?" Locien stood up and took one last look at the family's home, he wanted to tell the Omnic his plans of taking them back home with him but Miluion would pissed to high hell if he opened his mouth. "I need to make my rounds before I leave," he said instead. "Hope for some good news." he waved at the Omnic before exiting the house. He saw Cody aiming his finger gun at Miluion who moved around slowly, he smiled before clearing his throat. "Cody, your father is waiting for you inside." as he passed by he gave a short pat on the hooded head. "I'll be back soon so take care of that gear okay?" Cody nodded with a bright smile and ran inside the house. Miluion hovered over to his Guardian.

"I know I said we shouldn't take them so we should do the next best thing." Locien rose an eyebrow to his partner. "Take them to the remaining twigs of Overwatch, they can protect them."

"I don't know," he tapped the shell of his Ghost who moved away in irritation. "It'll be harder for me to say good bye if I have to see them every day." a helmet appeared on his head and Locien laughed at his partner's antics. "Mon cher ami, are you trying to tell me something?"

"I could just leave you without any clothes you know." Locien gave a nervous chuckle at the statement.

"Désolé, mon ami, vous êtes un être merveilleux dont je ne peux pas vivre? (I'm sorry friend, you are a wonderful being that I cannot live without?)" Miluion disappeared and a marker appeared on the visor of his helmet. "Merci." he started his way out of the underground city. He was nervous, now without Uktra by his side everyone seemed to be staring and inching closer to him as he walked by. "Il a été une semaine, il devrait y avoir moins de soldats stationnés aux transports maintenant. (It's been a week, there should be less soldiers stationed at the transports now.)" Miluion sent his partner a reassuring feel as they finally made it to the exit of the city.

"Ya 'elped Uktra right?" the female Omnic blocked his path with a couple other Omnics and humans behind her.

"Yes now I wish to leave so please step aside." she gave a laugh and shrugged her mechanical shoulders.

"Ya can go just thought ya should know that some people are lookin for ya and 'im." she informed and Locien tilted his head, his eyes narrowed at her behind his visor. "No one who looks friendly at least, so ya betta be careful out there. There's talk of people attackin us all da way down 'ere." Locien nodded and they moved out of the way. He passed by them but before the door closed Locien turned to the female Omnic.

"You have communications down here yes?" she nodded so he gave her the datapad Miluion swiped. "My com info is on there, if there is any trouble you let me know."

"Why bother?" she asked but took the datapad anyway.

"I figured not everyone down here deserves to be hurt, or am I wrong?" she shook her head. "Good, Miluion has made this untraceable. Don't hesitate to call, for anything." Locien turned and strut out of the underground city. He would need to be extra careful and upon returning he would need to inform Uktra about the complications of his rescue. For now he needed to focus on finding a way to New York. With Miluion's help he moved fast and out of sight, he had no luck however. The security was still tight at the docks and at the airport, he sighed in frustration. He might very well have to hide inside some cargo just to get in, assuming it isn't checked out before being taken on board. He yawned, they'd been at it all day.

"Perhaps we will have better luck if we check out the records of each possible transport." Miluion had a point, Locien was sure the Ghost was already putting together all the info he had.

"Make sure to dig in deeper, if it comes to it we can strike a deal with one of them for safe passage." Locien stood from his crouched position on top of a building, the spot was enough to overlook the docks heading for the states. The Rogue gazed once more to the orange sky above him before he started making his way down. "Looks like we'll have to impose on Uktra one more time." when his partner didn't answer with a sarcastic retort, the Rogue sent the Ghost a questioning push in his head.

"I'm picking up a transmission on a severely encrypted frequency. It seems it was meant for people like us to find it," he popped out in front of Locien as soon as he touched down in an alley. "It has both audio and visual components." Locien's brow furrowed.

"Could it be Lena or Winston trying to get find us?" It was strange to both he and Miluion that the ex-Overwatch agents hadn't gone and tried to find him.

"It might be, I cannot be certain. The transmission has multiple origin points, it is difficult to tell who it is that is sending it out." Miluion's shell expanded for a brief moment.

"Are you saying that this is a live transmission?" Miluion's shell twirled once. "Show me." he held out a hand, a small projector appeared in his hand. Miluion hated to be constantly used as a communications device so Locien decided to get a separate com device made. The video came up, it wasn't Overwatch trying to find or contact them. It was a gang, one he hadn't bothered to find the name of.

"We've been broadcastin for ten minutes already Al, that guy don't care 'bout this hunk of junk and the kid." Locien sucked in a breath. As soon as Al moved he saw Uktra curled around Cody, he couldn't see clearly if the boy was hurt but he knew for sure that Uktra had been wailed on. "We should just end this man, I'm tellin ya, he don't care 'bout them."

"Record this shit and Miluion? Get. Me. In." he growled. "Now." Miluion's shell expanded in the dark of the alley. Locien didn't care if anyone saw the blue light the Ghost was emitting, it wouldn't make a difference.

"Hey boss! Someone's trying to get in!" someone called from behind, what Locien assumed, was the camera. Al, the boss, cackled as he turned to the camera. Locien felt his anger simmering just beneath the surface. "Damn, they're good boss!"

"I'm gonna assume you're the guy that's been interfering with my gang." Locien gritted his teeth as the first one to have spoken on the video kicked at Uktra who curled even more. "You see, you've been a big thorn in our plans. Not sure if you've been doing on purpose but I don't really care. You're a problem, a loose end, and I don't like leaving loose ends." another kick and Al turned away from the camera. "You made these guys a target, hope you realize their death is on your hands."

"Miluion!" the Ghost gave a signalled beep, Locien almost wished they could do video instead of just audio. "Let me get this straight," Locien saw them look at the camera as soon as his voice filtered through. "You're going to kill a child and his father, because I created problems for you at your arms deal. Is that correct?" Al smirked, it was a wicked thing to see especially with Uktra curled around Cody in the background.

"You gonna cry?" Locien laughed, the sound was cold and void of amusement. The man beside Uktra shivered at it and Al frowned. "Huh, you really don't care about them." Locien tilted his helmet covered head.

"Why not negotiate their release then? You want me out of the way correct?" Al's eyes narrowed in interest. "Release them into my custody and give us passage to the states, you'll never hear from us again."

"And I'm supposed to believe that?" Locien tilted his head the other way. "Alright, come meet us. South of The Meridian, you have five minutes before I change my mind." the feed went black with Al's cackling cutting off. Locien took a deep breath, he was practically on the other side of the city. He sprinted out of the alley way, as soon as he made it out onto the street his EV-34 Vector Infinite sparrow appeared. He hopped on and sped off, a timer appeared on his helmet's visor, he had 4:30.29 (Minutes, Seconds, milliseconds).

"What are the chances they actually keep their word?" Miluion asked. Locien didn't comment and that was answer enough for the Ghost. "You'll need something to draw fast, you've always been attached to The Last Word." Locien grinned behind his visor, 3:30.00.

"We'll have thirty seconds to spare." Locien commented as he weaved through the streets. As soon as he was close to The Meridian, he jumped off his sparrow and sprinted the rest of the way. Another encrypted transmission came so Miluion tapped in quickly.

"We see you," Locien cursed, the preemptive strike was gone. "To your left, there's a club. We're around back, better hurry." Locien jogged to the back of the Lucky Kit club. As soon as he turned the corner, guns were aimed at him. "Looks like you really do care," Locien looked passed the men lined up and spotted Al with the duo behind him, the communicator off and in his hand. "Well, can't say I don't feel at least bad about this because believe me I do." the five men cocked their guns as Al turned his own on the Uktra and Cody. "Sorry for the wait."

"You'll have to forgive me," Locien started. "I was distracted and so did not receive the news until a short time ago." Locien drew his hand cannon. He fired off six shots. Six fell down with yells of pain, their gun clattering to the floor. Locien walked over the groaning men, he stopped as he stood over the man called Al. Said man cowered in fear, Locien looked to the Omnic and his son. "Uktra what were you doing out here?"

"I thought it best to acquire passage for you, Cody would not stay home. We were ambushed just outside the city." Locien took a deep breath and made a show of looking down at the fallen gang leader. Rapid fire sound off from behind Locien, the bullets were painful but his shield took the brunt of the impact. He turned, one of the men had shot him. Locien scowled.

"Ow," he said, the man dropped the gun and held his hands up in surrender. "All you had to do was hand them over and provide us passage to the states. It was simple." Locien aimed his hand cannon behind him to rest on the self appointed ringleader. "Well, now you're going to find a way to get us to New York or..." his finger went on the trigger. "I do this town a favor and rid it of it infestation, votre choix (your choice)." Miluion huffed, Locien really only left them one option. "Decisions, decisions."
