Hey guys I'm so so so sorry about the wait, please don't hate me... I'm back with another chapter after like two months or something I'll be updating my other two stories tomorrow hopefully if not it will be the day after that if anyone who reads my other two stories I have up. Anyways just a disclaimer I do not own any of the Inuyasha characters or plots just my own twists and characters, my OC's are; Yuzuki (main character, half-wolf demon/water sorceress), Raven (wolf demon 'bad guy'), Ryuu (water dragon), Kamiko (fire/earth dragon, Ryuu's mate), Taro and Kenji (Ryuu and Kamiko's children), Hayami (Yuzuki's mother), Tsuyoshi (Tiger demon/elemental sorcerer, Yuzuki's teacher), Narumi (Tiger demon, Tsuyoshi's mate), Kazuhiko (leader of the southern tribe, Sayuri's mate), Sayuri (leader of the western tribe, Kazuhiko's mate), Michiko and Satoru (wolf demons, children of Kazuhiko and Sayuri). *Swipes brow* phew... Now that's over on with the story :)
Chapter 13: Water training and the Truth
"Wake up, your training begins today" 'Tsuyoshi's voice' I then was covered in water and I sprung up from my bed cold and wet "Tsuyoshi what was that for?" I grumbled "Look here young lady I'm appalled that you could not sense that water" Tsuyoshi says and completely ignores my question "I wasn't expecting it" I said. Tsuyoshi frowned "None the less you should have at least sensed it, did you?" Tsuyoshi says "I sensed it a little bit but thought nothing of it" I replied Tsuyoshi sighed "We have a lot of work to do, go for a run to dry off I'll get some breakfast meet me at the waterfall basin" Tsuyoshi said and left. Wow I never knew Tsuyoshi to be so well serious I better get going then and of the den and ran around and all through the forest for a bit till I was dry then headed to the waterfall basin to see Tsuyoshi already roasting some fish, it smelt good. I ran over to him and sat down "Eat up we have a lot of work to do" Tsuyoshi said I ate every bit of what I was given "Alright I want you to show me what you can do and then we'll work on expanding and learning new abilities" Tsuyoshi said "Right, I can't control ice or storms but I can form barriers, make animals or things out of water, summon water to me but only at a certain distance" I said.
"We shall work on the more challenging things later I want you to show me what you can do and see how long you can keep your concentration, I'll even add more to it later on, we shall fight and you not only have to focus on me but on the water sorcery skill at the time" Tsuyoshi said I had shown Tsuyoshi what I could do, he showed me tips and tricks and worked on my concentration and how long I could hold water under my control. We trained for hours I wanted to show Tsuyoshi up so I stayed and practised after dinner once everyone had gone to sleep, I made practised making people out water instead of animals and it looked exactly alike, I had made Tsuyoshi and Narumi, I smiled "Yes I did it…" I said, I returned the water back into the basin. I sighed heavily "Another day gone…" I mumbled I guess I should turn in for the night I still have a lot more to learn and a lot more training to do, I walked back to the den and went to my cave, I laid down on my bedding and fell immediately to sleep. I felt the presence of water and formed a barrier around myself just as the water came my way I groaned as I opened my eyes "Better but why a barrier why not control the water?" Tsuyoshi asked "I don't know because that's the first thing that comes to mind" I replied.
"I see, that's a defensive thing, will practising offensive and defensive water fighting tactics today and I want to see if you learnt anything from yesterday, I'll meet you at the basin" Tsuyoshi said and walked out I got up and walked out to see Narumi and Kamiko talking while Taro and Kenji were busy eating "Good morning" Narumi says. "Uh yeah good morning" I said with a slight smile "You look exhausted already dear" Kamiko says "A tiny bit but don't tell Tsuyoshi… I'm enjoying the training but being worked this hard and learning all this is a little overwhelming and to think I should have known all this" I said. "Tsuyoshi thinks you're doing great and is so proud that you've gotten this far with your powers, anyways you better get going, I'm sure Tsuyoshi is waiting for you" Narumi said "Thanks Narumi, yeah I better go, see you guys at dinner" I said and then ran off to the waterfall basin. I got to the water fall basin and showed Tsuyoshi I hadn't forgotten what I was taught and that I could now make people not just animals out of water, he seemed very impressed we then moved on to offensive and defensive water tactics.
Tsuyoshi showed me what he could do and then showed him my water fight and blocking skills, Tsuyoshi and I worked all day just on moves, blocks and sneak attacks, I was starting to not just like learning this but to be able to do this. I already started to feel much stronger and much happier here but I still had the thought of my friends in my mind and a slight pain in my heart I had been away from my friends for only three nights and this was my third day. We neared the end of the day "That's enough training for today, let's get back to the den" Tsuyoshi said I was dragged out of my thoughts "Huh? Oh right dinner" I said "Kid they'll be fine after all Ryuu is with them, don't worry so much" Tsuyoshi said. Since that night the two days had gone pretty fast, Tsuyoshi said I had learnt what I needed and that I was ready for anything I had learnt to pick solid items up with controlling water, I could now control clouds with water in them and storms, I could even control ice and boiling water now which was a big help. I also learnt to expand and use my water sorcery to see things more clearly and accurately now, I still went out to practise and train though weather or not it was half a day or a couple hours, I was practising by the basin I heard rustling and a twig snap than whispering I half-smiled knowing it was Taro and Kenji.
I was able to do more than two things at once now which was awesome, I summoned water to run across the ground and mad it wrapped around the feet and dragged them out hanging them by their feet. "Ahh!" they screamed I giggled "Sneaking up on me, are we?" I asked and put them down Taro laughed "Oh man that was fun can you do that again?" Taro asked "How did you do that?" Kenji asked. I started telling them about what I could do and for the rest of the day I basically showed off, Taro and Kenji loved seeing my power over water "Kenji! Taro! Come back to the den now, your mother has asked for you" Narumi called Taro and Kenji looked at me. I gave a bright smile "Go on don't keep your mother waiting" I said, they ran off there was still a hour before the sun had yet to set Narumi came over and sat by me near the basin "You know Tsuyoshi brags about you all the time and he has told me your basically ready for anything now" Narumi said. "Yeah Tsuyoshi's a great teacher and a good friend, I just wish I could have done this sort of training with my mother…" I said Narumi placed her arm around my shoulders "I'm sure she's watching over you and very proud of how far you've come and what you've achieved" Narumi said I smiled "Yeah, the last time I saw her… When I died she said she'd always watch out for me but I wish she was here to give advice, to help me get through this… I don't want my friends to think I'm weak emotionally or physically" I said.
"Yuzuki… You're not weak you are anything but weak, you are so strong and Tsuyoshi believes that you can defeat anyone if you trust your powers and follow your heart, he says you have much of your mother in you but you have so much of your father in you" Narumi said I smiled and hugged Narumi "Thank you Narumi" I said. "Come on let's go eat, I'll see if Tsuyoshi will tell you about your father tomorrow ok since the day after your friends will be here" Narumi said we separated "Thanks Narumi, I appreciate what you and Tsuyoshi have done for me so far and Kamiko of course" I said Narumi laughed. "You really are the most well-mannered hanyo I have ever come across" Narumi says smiling we stood up and walked back to the den Taro and Kenji were bragging about my powers and saying how much fun they had, I helped get dinner ready. We had sat and talked about my friends and who was good with being in the one cave together and who was not, after we had arranged the sleeping quarters, Narumi wanted to help me set their rooms up while Tsuyoshi would be on lookout in case my friends came a day early. I trusted Ryuu to bring them here on the seventh or eighth day like he said a weeks' time I cleaned up while everyone went to bed, I went to the front of the den and sighed heavily "Mother I know you're watching so I just thought even though you can't talk to me that I could tell you, I am sacred of what may happen in my future but I'll stay strong for you, my father and my friends, I love you mother" I said softly.
As I gazed at the stars for a bit longer the cool breeze chilled me a bit I took a deep breathe tomorrow's the moment of truth I get to find out about my father, I am so nervous and so excited at the same time. I went back into the den and went to my room and got under my furs and fell asleep dreaming of what I might be told and what he knows about Satoru then my thoughts crossed to how my friends would react to seeing me again. I got up early and went out to the den no one was around I wasn't going to pry so I went out for a run around the whole area to clear my head, the sun was just rising as I stopped to bathe in the hot spring. I stripped off and hopped in, I let the hot water sooth my tense muscles, my worrying thoughts had not stopped but I hoped that my mind would be put to ease hearing what Tsuyoshi has to say, I stayed in for another ten minutes then got out and used my water sorcery to make the water on my body go back to the spring. I got dressed and ran back to the den, I wasn't far off when I smelt breakfast, fish, I got used to having fish for breakfast and a deer or boar for dinner, this place was like home to me and they were like family.
I came into the den "Good morning, smells good" I said with smile "Good morning Yuzuki" Narumi said "Yes good morning, were you off training again dear?" Kamiko asked "No just went for a quick run to pass some time" I replied. "Nervous about seeing your friends again?" Narumi said "Yeah, we didn't exactly part on good terms they wanted me to leave the group for my safety in case I… well died again…" I said "Dear I'm sure they'll be begging you to go with them now" Kamiko said "Kamiko's right you're so strong now, you're an amazing water sorcerous" Narumi said. I smiled "Thanks" I said and we sat down naturally Taro and Kenji got first pick, Kamiko went next then Narumi and finally me, Tsuyoshi had already gone to keep a look out and once we were finished setting up rooms Narumi was to trade places and I was to talk with Tsuyoshi. We finished eating and I cleaned up while Narumi went to get things started with their rooms, after I finished cleaning up I went to help Narumi, it took us two hours to make sure everything was ready and the den was clean. "Ok I think we're done, I'll go take over from Tsuyoshi, where should I tell him to meet you?" Narumi asked "The waterfall basin will be fine, thanks Narumi" I said "No problem, I'll go get him for you and don't worry you'll be fine" Narumi said and gave me a quick hug and ran off.
I sighed and took a deep breath and brushed off my nerves and ran to the waterfall basin I sat by the basin for about five minutes when I turned around and saw Tsuyoshi walking towards me, I stood up my nerves returned even stronger than before. Tsuyoshi came over to me and smiled "Come, let's sit down and talk" Tsuyoshi said I went to sit down with him Tsuyoshi looked to me "I want to ask you something before I tell you about your father" Tsuyoshi said I gave a nod "Sure, what did you want to know?" I ask. "I want to know your thoughts on Satoru and Michiko" Tsuyoshi asked I was now confused but I couldn't back out because of a question like this "Well Michiko is very confidant and straight forward so is Satoru, though Satoru seemed a bit persistent with asking me to rule by his side" I replied Tsuyoshi grinned. "I see… Well this may come a shock to you but as you wished to hear the truth, your father's name is Kazuhiko and his mate's name is Sayuri, they have two children, the first a son then later a daughter…" Tsuyoshi said my eyes widened, I hope this isn't leading to him telling me what I think he's about to say "Kazuhiko met your mother when out for a stroll one night he fell in love and vowed to your mother he would tell his mate so it would not be a betrayal between your father and his mate, you were the middle child between your two half siblings…" Tsuyoshi continued to explain.
I looked to the ground and back at Tsuyoshi my mind was processing every word Tsuyoshi said "Satoru and Michiko are your half siblings" Tsuyoshi said I puffed a sigh and it clicked then "Wait if Satoru and Michiko are my half siblings that means my father is the leader of the southern tribe" I said. Tsuyoshi gave a nod "Yes meaning you are entitled to lead the southern tribe if your father picks you, if Satoru and Michiko have told Kazuhiko about you he will surely be considering having you as a leader as well" Tsuyoshi said "But I'm not fit to be a leader, no one will take orders from a hanyo" I said and looked away Tsuyoshi sighed "Just think before you do or say anything" Tsuyoshi says. "I'm going to check on Kamiko and leave you to think about things" Tsuyoshi said, I smiled slightly "Thank you Tsuyoshi" I said Tsuyoshi ruffled my hair "Whatever you decide will be fine, I just know it" Tsuyoshi said with a smile and walked off. I place my head in my hands "Just great…" I mumbled I looked to the water and looked in, I kept one hand on the ground and my other just on the surface of the water I wanted to see how far away my friends were. I thought of my destination and theirs, a ripple in the water showed exactly where I was and then zapped through this area then the cave through the forest and they were in the clearing they were all sitting around one big fire just talking.
I felt tears swelling up I waved it over and sought out where my half siblings were, I thought of Michiko first, she was with a woman, most likely Sayuri leader of the western lands and Satoru was there too. I clear the water over again and looked for my father, the water rippled and showed a man standing giving orders to a group of men "Father…" I said softly as a tear escaped, I cleared the water I then searched for Naraku. The water grew misty and unclear I focused more and saw him with Kagura and the child she was showing something on the mirror, I gasped "No…" I growled she was showing him my family, my father his mate and my half siblings. I growled and cleared the water I stood up and ran to the den as fast as I could I saw Tsuyoshi and Kamiko talking "Tsuyoshi I must leave Naraku may have something planed for my family I have to warn them" I said Tsuyoshi frowned and gave a nod "Go they'll need you, we'll take care of your friends until you return" Tsuyoshi said and with that I ran off.
