Ok so I'm back with the next chapter, I have decided to upload every Sunday but I'll see how it goes, just a disclaimer I do not own any of the Inuyasha characters or plots just my own twists and characters, my OC's are; Yuzuki (main character, half-wolf demon/water sorceress), Raven (wolf demon 'bad guy'), Ryuu (water dragon), Kamiko (fire/earth dragon, Ryuu's mate), Taro and Kenji (Ryuu and Kamiko's children), Hayami (Yuzuki's mother), Tsuyoshi (Tiger demon/elemental sorcerer, Yuzuki's teacher), Narumi (Tiger demon, Tsuyoshi's mate), Kazuhiko (leader of the southern tribe, Sayuri's mate), Sayuri (leader of the western tribe, Kazuhiko's mate), Michiko and Satoru (wolf demons, children of Kazuhiko and Sayuri), Zurui (mixed-breed, fire sorcerer 'bad guy'). Chapter 16: Conflicts of a half demon

"Yuzuki, remember what I said and be careful out there" Sayuri said I gave a nod "Of course, thank you Sayuri" I said I turned around and started walking in the direction of the place, I picked up my pace and started running. I ran for a while and stopped by a small stream I touched the water with my hand slightly "Ryuu, Tsuyoshi" I said softly I scanned my area as I left my hand on the top of the water, the water rippled into and then formed a flat circular plate. I could see both Tsuyoshi and Ryuu. "Yuzuki what's wrong?" Ryuu asked "I have a problem, I need to speak to you Tsuyoshi alone, Ryuu can you watch everyone for a little longer?" I said "Sure kid" Ryuu said "I'll meet you at the river" Tsuyoshi said "Ok take care" I said they gave nods and the water rippled.

I ran off towards the river between here and the place as I got close I had a strange feelings I couldn't tell if it was bad or good though it didn't seem like a threat, I kept my senses up anyways and ran at full speed to the river. I slowed to a stop near the river seeing Tsuyoshi appear from the forest, he came over to me "Yuzuki what is the problem?" Tsuyoshi asked "Who is Zurui?" I asked Tsuyoshi looked at me in awe but also in fear and anger, Tsuyoshi looked over me and sighed softly as he turned away. "You've meet him then?" Tsuyoshi asked "Yes, he wants to take down Naraku to get the sacred jewel and kill all the wolf demon tribes" I replied Tsuyoshi puffed a sigh as he hung his head, he looked guilty of something "What's going on? Who is he?" I asked. "Zurui was a student of mine, like your mother and you… He wanted to master fire and since I can master the elements Zurui wanted me to teach him" Tsuyoshi said "So you were friends?" I asked "Yes, we were good friends but unfortunately he wanted more power, the sacred jewel would give him that, he could even have the ability to ask for all elemental powers if he wanted" Tsuyoshi said.

A look of fear crossed my face "Wait if Koga has two shards and his speed and strength is enhanced will Zurui get more power from just one shard?" I asked "Yuzuki one shard is enough to give him not only physical strength but power in his sorcery and that goes for you too but you must remember he is of two demons you are only half a demon" Tsuyoshi said. I frowned as I looked to the ground "Tsuyoshi I need to learn how to make water appear not just summon it" I said "That takes a lot of energy Yuzuki you have to be patient and have complete concentration then there's the…" Tsuyoshi said "Tsuyoshi I need to learn this and quickly, there has to be some way to enhance the process of mastering this" I said cutting him off with a look of agitation. I wanted Naraku and Zurui dead then there was the fact of Raven if he knew I was going after Zurui to kill him what would he do? What is his relationship to Zurui? I had so many questions and thoughts running through my head. "There's a place you can go but it will be dangerous, you'll have to go to the north there'll be a cave that leads underground to a lair where fire demons live, you have to kill the leader, try to rely on your sorcery" Tsuyoshi said "Ok I'll try and be back as soon as I can" I said as I turned to leave.

"Let your friends go with you, they've waited all this time and they are all worried about you, they can help with the demons but the leader you have to fight on your own" Tsuyoshi said I stopped in my tracks and sighed, I wanted them to remain safe but I have missed them so much. I looked back to Tsuyoshi "Ok I'll go with you back there and we can leave" I said "I see your father rubbed off some of his attitude on you and in such a short time…" Tsuyoshi says softly. "Huh? What attitude?" I asked "Getting things done right away… I will go get your friends and tell them to meet you here, if you come back now everyone will be wanting to know what has happened and you'll be stuck with us for longer" Tsuyoshi said, I gave a nod and with that he ran off. I puffed a sigh I looked towards the southern tribe, they'll be ok I just have to trust my father that they can take care of themselves till I defeat Naraku and Zurui, I looked to the north as I crossed my arms across my chest, I can do this.

I had to kill the fire demon leader and be able to create water, but if they're fire demons they'll hardly be living near any water, I can't fail especially not in front of my friends, I just have to believe I can do this. I went by the river and decided to at least get some of the dirt and ash off me, my hair was a dirty dark brown colour, I had ash smudges on my clothes and skin, I looked filthy I cupped my hands and splashed my face. It took a little while but I had cleaned my face arms and legs but my clothes were still a bit filthy as was my hair the wind came my way and with it the scents of my friends, I sighed as I looked in the water my hair was still dirty, at least I got my skin clean. "Yuzuki!" Koga's voice called out I looked over to see Koga run in front I stood up and he was over to me in a split second and pulled me into a hug "Are you ok? What happened you smell like ash?" Koga asked as he separated from and looked me over.

I smiled "I'm fine Koga, I just had a forest fire to put out, a demon tried to attack the southern tribe" I replied Koga sighed in relief though he did still have a look of concern "Yuzuki!" voices called I looked over to see Ginta, Hakkaku and Inuyasha running on foot while Miroku, Sango, Kagome and Shippo were on Kirara. "Guys!" I exclaimed as I ran over to them Hakkaku engulfed me in a hug then Ginta "Are you ok?" Hakkaku asked "We were so worried" Ginta said "I'm fine guys" I replied giving a reassuring smile "You smell like ash what'd you do light something on fire?" Inuyasha asked. "I've been gone a week and I still get attitude" I said "Sit, don't mind him Yuzuki" Kagome said and gave me hug. We separated "Yes we're all happy to see you again" Sango said as she gave me a hug, once we separated Shippo jumped to me hugging me tightly "Yuzuki I missed you!" Shippo exclaimed I giggled "I missed you too Shippo so Ryuu teach you anything?" I asked.

Shippo separated but clung to my shoulder "Yes! He taught me so much and I even learnt some things from Taro and Kenji, when this is over can I come back here with you to see them?" Shippo asked I smiled brightly "Sure" I replied. "Yuzuki, Tsuyoshi says that you have to go on a mission to enhance your power, why?" Miroku asked "Well I've learnt a lot from Tsuyoshi once my training was over I had nothing to do, I asked Tsuyoshi about my father since he knew of him and Naraku was planning to hurt the tribe he was in so I went to help…" I said. "So your just doing it because of Naraku, I told you that was the reason" Inuyasha snapped as he cut me off "No it's not because of Naraku, if you would have listened this is about a different demon he came after Kagura, Naraku's puppet and I had another fight" I said. "Another demon? Is he powerful?" Sango asked I gave a nod "Yes and very dangerous, I never thought I'd see a demon like him before he's a mixed breed" I replied "A mixed breed?" Ginta repeated "I've never heard of that before" Hakkaku said.

"Do you know what type?" Koga asked "He's name is Zurui and he's half vampire-bat demon half wolf demon, he told me while setting the forest fire near the southern tribe that he wanted to rule the region" I replied "He's all mouth I bet cha" Inuyasha said. "Tell that to the southern tribe that would have been dead if not for me, besides I'm the only one who can take him" I said "Yeah right, you're already one life down" Inuyasha snapped "He controls fire idiot I'm going to enhance my power so I can beat him before he kills Naraku and takes the jewel he has" I snapped. "Hey Yuzuki where's your father? Are you going to see him?" Shippo asked I looked at Shippo "I've already seen him and my half siblings, they live in the southern tribe" I replied "So what are they like?" Kagome asked. "Have they accepted you?" Sango asked "If Yuzuki saved them twice they would be foolish not to accept her" Koga said I smiled brightly "They have accepted me and they love having me around and the whole tribe wants to help in any way they can with Naraku" I said.

"The whole tribe?" Koga said "Yep" I said "What are your siblings like? How many do you have? Are they my age?" Shippo fired questions Kagome, Sango and I giggled at how excited Shippo was "I think we should walk and talk" Miroku said. "I think that may be best though this isn't going to be easy" I said "We're all with you" Koga said "And we'll stay with you this time" Ginta says "We won't leave your side" Hakkaku said I smiled. "Where are we going? And what are we doing?" Inuyasha snapped I lost my smile and looked at him "A cave in the north there's a lair of fire demons, I have to kill the leader" I said "Let's get this over with then" Inuyasha growled as he walked off towards the north. I wonder what's wrong with him? It must have been something to do with me "Yuzuki don't worry he's probably just grumpy since we're not tracking down Naraku" Miroku said "I think there's more to it" Kagome said "I agree, I'm gonna go talk to him" I said I ran off to catch up with him.

"Inuyasha what's wrong?" I asked "Nothing butt out wolf" Inuyasha snapped I definitely must have done something "Inuyasha I've done something I know I have by your voice and actions please just talk to me we're both hanyo's" I said. Inuyasha glared at me "It's nothing now mind your own business" Inuyasha growled "We are both hanyo's Inuyasha, we're friends please let me help" I said Inuyasha growled and looked ahead he was angry but sad. "You look like a normal demon, you just found your father is still alive and that you have half siblings and they all love and welcome you in and me what do I get… Nothing so you now know my problem, leave me alone" Inuyasha puffed and then ran off I stopped in my tracks, Inuyasha why did you keep that hidden why close yourself off when you have friends to help you. "Yuzuki are you ok?" Ginta asked "Yes…" I replied "What happened?" Kagome asked I looked to the ground "It's a hanyo thing… Hopefully Inuyasha talks about it soon though" I said sadly "So you wouldn't be able to tell us on his behalf then?" Miroku asked.

I looked to him "Kagome who does Inuyasha have left?" I asked "His older half-brother, Lord Sesshomaru but they don't like each other, Sesshomaru hates hanyo's" Kagome replied "Is this about you having found yours and them accepting you?" Sango asked. "Yes, he only has us… If he's brother hates him then we are all he has but since he's been alone just about his whole life he's not used to talking about his feelings" I said "Is that the same for you as well?" Miroku asked "It was… Hanyo's shut themselves off since we are not one or the other but in between" I said. "But Inuyasha seems so strong" Shippo said "Shippo hanyo's lead a different life to a demon, the only reason we are is because we rely on our demon blood" I said "You mean your inner-demon?" Sango asked "You know about that then?" I asked. "Inuyasha has changed before, when he does it's like he has no control over what he is doing" Kagome said I gave a nod "You said Inuyasha wanted the jewel to become a full demon, did he state a reason?" I asked "He said he wanted the jewel to become a full demon to become strong" Miroku said.
