Hey guys so sorry I haven't uploaded it seems like forever since the last one but I have some time free at the moment to do some uploading, anyways just a disclaimer I do not own any of the Inuyasha characters or plots just my own twists and characters, my OC's are; Yuzuki (main character, half-wolf demon/water sorceress), Raven (wolf demon 'bad guy'), Ryuu (water dragon), Kamiko (fire/earth dragon, Ryuu's mate), Taro and Kenji (Ryuu and Kamiko's children), Hayami (Yuzuki's mother), Tsuyoshi (Tiger demon/elemental sorcerer, Yuzuki's teacher), Narumi (Tiger demon, Tsuyoshi's mate), Kazuhiko (leader of the southern tribe, Sayuri's mate), Sayuri (leader of the western tribe, Kazuhiko's mate), Michiko and Satoru (wolf demons, children of Kazuhiko and Sayuri), Zurui (mixed-breed, fire sorcerer 'bad guy') Kiriko (Naraku's new incarnation) and Yukiko (Snow/Ice sorcerer). Chapter 23: The Little Moments.
He gave me a look "You're kidding right? Yuzuki were half breeds no matter what we'll always be looked down on but we have our friends and that we should be grateful for, you and the gang taught me that" Inuyasha said "So you don't want to be with your own kind?" I asked. "Never, I wanted to be a full demon but having you guys I know I'm strong enough to beat anyone" Inuyasha puffed I laughed "Anyone huh? You're not faster then everyone though" I said "Course I am" Inuyasha puffed. "Then how about a race with Koga?" I asked "I'll beat him any day" Inuyasha said proudly I grinned "Ok stay here" I said and back over to everyone "Yuzuki what's wrong?" Ginta asked "Did Inuyasha say something?" Kagome asked. "Well Inuyasha is bragging saying he could beat Koga in a race anytime" I said "Me? He has to be kidding" Koga said "I'd say a little race may just pick the mood up and of course put Inuyasha's ego down a little" Miroku said. "Sure thing, we'll get some fire wood and food, I'll be back first of course" Koga said proudly and took off "Hey!" Inuyasha shouted as Koga shot past him "Come on Inuyasha I thought you said you could beat me!" Koga yelled tauntingly as he ran off making Inuyasha run after him.
Kagome and Sango set up everything they had "Hey Shippo I still have a few lollies would you like them?" Kagome asked "Yes please!" Shippo exclaimed Kagome handed him a stick with a round circle thing on top. I raised a brow "Kagome, what is lollies?" I asked "Uh well they're like treats some are sweet some sour they all taste different" Kagome said as she pulled off a cover around the circular thing on a stick and passed it to me "Here try one" Kagome said. I took it "Just suck on it, it tastes great!" Shippo exclaimed I looked at it and placed it in my mouth, I instantly got a strawberry taste my eyes widened in awe I took it out "It tastes like strawberries, how did you make these lollies?" I asked with a smile. Kagome laughed "I didn't I bought them from home you get them at shops I'll bring more next time, the one your eating is called a strawberry lollypop" Kagome said "Please do they're delicious" I said then placed the lollypop back in my mouth. I found it amazing how something as small as this lollypop could make someone feel better "Here guys take one, it will do until Inuyasha and Koga get back with dinner and fire wood" Kagome said "Thank you Kagome" Sango.
"Yes thank you Lady Kagome" Miroku said they picked theirs out Ginta and Hakkaku were still a little iffy "Ginta, Hakkaku you really should try one they taste great" I said they smiled and picked one up each, Miroku and Hakkaku looked like they got bad ones. "What is this? It tastes so sour…" Hakkaku said "Lucky this one is very tangy…" Miroku said "Ha-ha I got a sweet one!" Ginta exclaimed "I think I have an orange flavour…" Sango said we all laughed and had short talk. Koga turned up with the fire wood "What'd I miss?" Koga asked I grabbed a lollypop one and handed it to him "Try one Koga they're really good" I said he raised a brow "I think I'll stick to animals thanks" Koga said. I frowned and shoved it in his mouth his eyes widened as I took the fire wood off him and started on making the fire "What is this?" Koga asked "It's called a lollypop" Kagome replied "Boss you should have seen Hakkaku and Miroku's face they got bad ones" Ginta said. "Shut up next time we're swapping you'll get the sour one and I'll get the sweet one" Hakkaku said Inuyasha turned up with a couple of small boars as Ginta and Hakkaku were getting into a mini-argument about who got what kind of lollypop next time.
"Hey why does he get a lollypop?!" Inuyasha pouted I looked at him seriously? One little pout because of a lolly then again they were pretty good "There's still one left" Kagome said and went over to him giving him it. Inuyasha blushed slightly I smiled least there's still something to be happy about, I just got the fire going "Hey Inuyasha can we eat now?" I asked "Huh? Uh yeah here" Inuyasha said chucking the boars in my direction. I went wide-eyed seeing them come towards me so suddenly Koga came in front catching them "Watch it mutt" Koga growled "She's strong what's the problem?" Inuyasha questioned I looked away hearing Kagome speak to Inuyasha. "Yuzuki are you ok?" Koga asked "Uh yes I'm fine, thank you for catching them" I said he smiled "No problem, I'll cook them you rest" Koga said "You're going to cook them?" I asked in awe "Yeah is there a problem with me roasting them?" Koga asked back. I shook my head "No just surprised" I said and went to sit down by Kirara and Shippo "Yuzuki are you ok with going back home? Aren't the villagers going to try and kill you again?" Shippo asked I looked at him as everyone went silent.
"Tsuyoshi kept things in my mother's hut that would help me then I must return even if they do try to kill me" I said then looked at the fire "I never understood why they feared me but I assume it's like Naraku going after us, if someone fears someone or craves the power they have they come after them" I said. "Like jealousy?" Kagome asked I looked at her "Possibly some just fear what they don't understand, the things that are different" I replied "Perhaps we could go in first and change their…" Miroku started. "It won't work" I said "It won't unless you trust all of us to help you, you fear others getting hurt and that's why you like being alone cause you care too much, you get attached to easily" Inuyasha said I looked at him "Then we are more alike than we first thought" I said. "We? We have certain things we're not totally alike, you look like you have more pain then me" Inuyasha said I went wide-eyed then looked at the ground as a frown crossed my face "My pain is my own what I've done is in the past" I said. "And yet it seems to be coming back to haunt you" Inuyasha said "Inuyasha?!" Kagome exclaimed as I looked at him "Funny I can say the same about you two-timer" I snapped "Heh least I ain't hiding secrets that Zurui guy threw you away and acted as if what happened really was your fault so there is definitely more going on" Inuyasha puffed.
"Enough Inuyasha she has been through enough as have we all" Sango said "I'm going to check on my family I'll be back later" I said "Why not show us them then we know who they are if we come across them or do you not want us to know them" Inuyasha said. "My family have decisions to make I'd rather them be left at peace to make them" I said "Have you thought about what if Naraku or Zurui get them? Or attack the tribe that they're in?" Miroku asked. "Yuzuki how about you take some of my lollies I have left over for your family?" Kagome said I shook my head "Thank you but if I go back my brother is only going to want to follow me and he needs to be there to help with their mother" I said. "Is she ok?" Koga asked I gave a nod "Yes I want to say but Naraku could be listening, I just hope he hasn't found about her condition if he has, he may use it to his advantage" I said "Another reason you should show us your family" Inuyasha said. "Inuyasha has a point Yuzuki" Koga said "I agree, it would not only help us be more aware but to help your family keep safe, Tsuyoshi has already been taken" Miroku said I sighed "Fine… We can go see them after we go to my mother's hut" I said.
"Don't you want us to meet your family?" Ginta asked I looked at him "It's not that, my family is well looked up to in the western and southern wolf demon tribes" I said "So you have an image to uphold is that way you've been all moody?" Inuyasha questioned "It's hard living up to them" I said. "You're not living up to them you're trying to prove a point I know because I've been through the same thing with my half-brother" Inuyasha said "You know nothing about this so butt out" I growled as I stood up. I walked away and sat down on some soft grass as I cupped my hands and made a ball of water appear I made a connection with the water in the spring outside the cave I saw the little girl I saved walk by "Hey…" I said she looked around. "Over here in the water it's Yuzuki" I said she looked in the water and smiled brightly "Hey Yuzuki! I'll go get Kazuhiko for you!" she exclaimed and ran off I smiled and a few minutes passed and I heard her voice along with my family members. Their faces came into view "Yuzuki are you ok? What's happened?" father asked "I just thought I'd see how everything is going, I'm coming home in a few days or a week with my friends it depends on how it takes" I said with a forced smile "Yuzuki what's happened?" Sayuri asked.
"Zurui took Tsuyoshi I couldn't stop him in time" I said holding back tears "Father let me go help please" Satoru pleaded "No you can't I'll be home soon just stay there please" I said "Yuzuki this isn't your fault, we'll talk about this further when you get here I'll have caves prepared for your friends" my father said. "Thank you, I'm sorry for tearing you away from the tribe" I said he smiled "Things are fine here just take care of yourself we'll all wait here for your return and if anything happens we'll send word to you" my father said. "Mutt get back here and give her privacy!" Koga yelled "Who's that?" Inuyasha questioned I looked back to see coming over I looked back to my family "I have to go I'll see you soon take care" I said then dispersed the water. I stood up as I turned to face Inuyasha "Who the hell was that? He sounded like a leader to me, maybe your family has set you up with Satoru and that's why you don't won't us there" Inuyasha said. I rolled my eyes "don't be ridiculous, Satoru and I are not getting mated I'd rather kill myself before that happens" I said as I walked back to everyone "Then tell me who he was and why you were talking to a leader?" Inuyasha asked.
"Once we get there then you'll find out but I am not putting my family in danger by telling you and everyone must stop assuming that Satoru and I are ever going to be together because that is not happening ever" I said as I sat down. "Kagome can I have another one of those lollies please?" I asked "Sure" Kagome said and passed me one I took the wrapper off and placed it in my mouth I stared into the fire in thought as I sucked all the flavour out of the lollipop until it fully disappeared. "So Kagome how is your family? It's been awhile since we've asked" Miroku said breaking the silence "They're good, my kid brother is doing really well I think he'll be smarter than me soon" Kagome said "Little brothers are like that" Sango said I started thinking about Sayuri and her pup. I think Satoru would prefer a little brother having two sisters must be what brings his ego up, I giggled at the thought of what he'd be if it was another girl "Yuzuki what's so funny?" Miroku asked I looked at him. I smiled as I shook my head "Nothing just in thought" I said as I took out the stick from my mouth tossing it into the fire and laid down on my back looking at the stars in the night sky "Yuzuki what's your siblings like?" Shippo asked.
I smiled brightly "One is protective in a stupid way and acts like a kid at times and the other is very sweet, kind likes to be helpful and gets excited way to easily" I said "You have two siblings then?" Miroku said "Sort of you'll see when we get to the Western tribe" I said. "As long as Satoru doesn't try anything" Koga said "I agree he's so smug…" Hakkaku said "And way too confident for his own good" Ginta said I could just imagine how my everyone would take it seeing Satoru and Michiko are my brother and sister. I laughed at the thought of their reaction "Yuzuki?" Sango questioned "You guys really should stop thinking about him being with me" I said "It's hard to shut it out when he wants to be with you" Hakkaku said "Trust me you need to forget that" I said. "Alright spill one minute your upset and now your laughing so what's going on?" Inuyasha asked I sat up and looked at him "Oh come haven't you ever had a happy memory play through your mind? You guys must have had some good times through the bad" I said. Kagome burst out laughing and whispered to Sango then she burst out laughing Kagome picked up a stick "Hey Inuyasha" Kagome said "Yeah?" Inuyasha replied with slight worry in his voice "Fetch!" Kagome yelled as she threw the stick.
Inuyasha ran after it we all burst out laughing "Now that does bring back some memories" Miroku said "Mhmm" Shippo said everyone started talking about memorable moments, Inuyasha was sulking because of the fetch thing but that was funny I can't see why he didn't just go with the joke. A loud rumble came from the sky "Aie!" Shippo squealed as he hid behind Kagome I placed a barrier over everyone to keep us dry I stood up and went to walk out "Yuzuki…" Hakkaku said as he grabbed my hand "It's ok it's just a storm" I said. Rain poured down to me it sounded like a sweet song every drop of rain was like music to my ears, I stood at the edge of the barrier watching the rain run down to the ground "I never thought about the weather much other then what it affects us doing but I think I see the beauty in it now" Koga said. I smiled "When you start looking past what you see it's a whole new world" I said "I don't like the thunder and lightning" Shippo said "It's nature behind this not the thunder brothers" I said looking at Shippo "Are you doing that?" Koga asked. "Huh?" I puffed "It's a lunar rainbow" Ginta said I looked up to see the brightest lunar rainbow it sparkled because of the rain "That's natures work" I said as I smiled "It's beautiful" Kagome said as we all looked at the lunar rainbow.
