Hello everyone, you must get tired of hearing me say sorry all the time that's because I am, I've dearly missed writing my stories, I've had a lot come up that has torn me from it, sadly, but I will not bore you with the details.

I will try and keep up my writing and not let my posting chapters get too far apart. I will also try to do more updates in my "Author's Notes" so you guys know what's going on besides it will also give me a chance for my readers to get to know me and perhaps a chance for me to get to know my readers, you guys. I recommend you to follow my ''story'' called Author's Notes but that's your choice of course.

Alright, onto the disclaimer I do not own any of the Inuyasha characters or plots just my own twists and characters, my OC's are; Yuzuki (main character, half-wolf demon/water sorceress), Raven (wolf demon 'bad guy'), Ryuu (water dragon), Kamiko (fire/earth dragon, Ryuu's mate), Taro and Kenji (Ryuu and Kamiko's children), Hayami (Yuzuki's mother), Tsuyoshi (Tiger demon/elemental sorcerer, Yuzuki's teacher), Narumi (Tiger demon, Tsuyoshi's mate), Kazuhiko (leader of the southern tribe, Sayuri's mate), Sayuri (leader of the western tribe, Kazuhiko's mate), Michiko and Satoru (wolf demons, children of Kazuhiko and Sayuri), Zurui (mixed-breed, fire sorcerer 'bad guy') Kiriko (Naraku's new incarnation), Yukiko (Snow/Ice sorcerer), The Ishikawa family of the Village Yuzuki's partially grew up in and of course the new character Princess Umiko (From the Water Elemental Isle).

1. Ayumu (Dream Demon).

Chapter 28: He's back.

"Lady Yuzuki should I just stay in the hut until you've finished in this village?" Umiko asked "No stay with me in my sight; these villagers are already under enough stress, we must keep in their sights to ease their minds" I replied as I looked to her. I could sense the fear of her "Yuzuki" Lord Kazuki's voice rung out, I looked over to see Lord Hiroshi walking over to us with his father "Lord Kazuki I apologise for this but I shall-" I started to say. "Please don't blame Yuzuki she didn't know I was in the hut" Umiko said cutting me off I looked at her in awe than to Lord Kazuki "This is Umiko she is a water sorcerer like my mother, my teacher left her in my mother's hut so I could become her teacher" I said. I then bowed my head "I apologise once again, I had no knowledge, but I will keep her in my charge and make sure she does not do anything to scare or harm anyone" I said. "My son explained things to me, it is distressing to find that she has been here but relieving to know she is not a demon," Lord Kazuki said.

I looked to him "Ah, I am of course referring to evil demons, Yuzuki, I meant no disrespect to you" Lord Kazuki said "No harm done, Lord Ishikawa" I said "If Umiko is in your charge then I shall trust you though she must earn her keep but not yet" Lord Kazuki said. "I understand, This demon has everyone on edge," I said "Demon? Wait what's going on?" Umiko asked I looked to her "There is a demon that has been terrorising our village, and that has made many sick" Lord Hiroshi said. "All of those who are sick, have fevers and pains, they age, though the nightmares are the most troublesome," I said, "Could it be some kind of life draining demon?" Umiko asked. I frowned "No demons that I know of can create these symptoms, it is possible, but no, this is new" I replied she frowned I placed my hand on her shoulder. "Don't fret, we'll find who is responsible and bring them to justice, although afterwards, I'll need help nurturing everyone back to good health," I said she smiled "You can count on me sensei, I could even help you with bringing justice to whoever has done this" Umiko said.

"You follow my orders, I don't want anyone getting hurt, so stay back and wait for my word," I said. "Yes Sensei," Umiko said I gave a gentle smile and slight nod of my head just as I looked back to Lord Kazuki when I felt a horrible air come over the place. My smile dropped instantly as my brows knitted together "What's that?" Umiko asked, "You sense that too?" I asked "Uh y-yes, and I don't like it," Umiko said, "What's wrong?" Lord Kazuki asked. "I need everyone in their homes immediately, something is not right" I replied Lord Kazuki and Lord Hiroshi looked to each other and began yelling orders. Everyone started to drop what they were doing and rushed to their homes; everyone had to stay in their homes until I gave Lord Kazuki the all clear, this air was tainted and possibly belonged to the culprit behind the troubles here. "Umiko keep your senses open," I said sternly "A-Alright," Umiko said she was scared and I knew it, "Umiko focus on saving the lives here, that will give you the courage you need, reeking of fear makes you a target," I said.

Umiko looked at me blankly then her eyes widened "Y-Y-Yuzuki…" she muttered in fear her icy blue orbs trembling as they focused at something behind me, causing my violet orbs to narrow as I turned on my heel but what I saw only made me stop in my tracks. A demon stood in the distance, just barely visible through the mist that started to reach out through the forest line and into the start of the Village clearing. The demons misty light grey skin tone and pure platinum blonde coloured hair made him almost invisible in the mist if it weren't for his dainty rose-pink eyes, his figure is small and refined, more feminine. This demon though was not to be taken likely; he happened to be a demon I knew all too well "T-This can't be…" I muttered in awe, "what is it?" Umiko asked as I felt her cling to my arm. Before I could reply the mist slowly started to disappear, and the air decreased soon returning to normal, suddenly everything made sense to me I sighed heavily "Things just got difficult" I murmured as my violet orbs stayed glued to the spot of the demon I knew.

"Yuzuki? Sensei?" Umiko said as she lightly shook me, "Huh?" I puffed as I looked to her, my eyes glazed over with sorrow, "Yuzuki? What's wrong? Who was that?" Umiko questioned, I looked away "We must return to Lord Kazuki and report this to him at once," I said. I turned on my heel and headed towards Lord Kazuki's home with great haste, Umiko trailed after me trying to keep up with my brisk pace. Umiko puffed a relieved sigh as we stopped at Lord Kazuki's home "Lord Kazuki, may Umiko and I come in, we have found the culprit, and I know how to fix things now" I called out soon after Lord Kazuki came out with Lord Hiroshi following close behind. Both looked at me in awe but in relief as well, "come in quickly, let's hear your report" Lord Kazuki said, I bowed then went in Umiko gave a bow and rushed in after me. Lord Kazuki took us to a private meeting room of his, we all sat down, myself facing Lord Kazuki and Umiko facing Lord Hiroshi, "So what have you found out?" Lord Kazuki asked.

My face hardened over showing how serious I was; I closed my eyes for a moment as I softly inhaled while I choose my words carefully, once I had what I wanted to say worked out I opened my eyes "Did you ever hear the tale of Ayumu?" I asked. Lord Kazuki's eyes widened "Ayumu… The dream walking demon?" Lord Kazuki said as his voice trembled "Father?" Lord Hiroshi said in concern seeing his father slightly tremble at the mention of the demon. "The same Ayumu that your mother had protected this village from in my grandfather's rule?" Lord Kazuki asked I gave a nod of my head in response "Yes, I fear he has broken free from my mother's sorcery and now seeks revenge" I replied bluntly. "Who is this Ayumu, father?" Lord Hiroshi asked Lord Kazuki sighed as his gaze dropped to the floor "Ayumu had roamed our lands making many sick and eventually making them beg for their lives to be taken" Lord Kazuki said. I closed my eyes remembering the events my mother described to me "It was Yuzuki's mother that had vanquished him and that is how Yuzuki's mother first became the protector of our village" Lord Kazuki said.

"So if Yuzuki's mother defeated him once Yuzuki could do the same, right sensei?" Umiko said I opened my eyes glancing at her from the corner of my eyes and gave a slight nod "I will do all I can to defeat Ayumu, and for good this time" I said. "Was everything the same then as now?" Lord Hiroshi questioned "The nightmares were peculiar, they all stated a blackness then crimson eyes, the evil laughter, then their loved ones dead but Ayumu's eyes are not crimson" I stated. "So could there be another working with Ayumu?" Lord Hiroshi asked "No, because I've seen him when he is using his, as he says; gifts, on people, when he does use his talents his eyes turn from their rose pink colour to being crimson" I replied. "You've seen him?" Lord Kazuki asked in awe I nodded my head "When I was a child Ayumu broke my mother's sorcery and to get back at my mother he tried using me, but my mother stopped him and trapped him once more" I replied. "So if trapping him is no use, then you must kill him," Lord Hiroshi says in a dreading tone, I gave a short firm nod of my head "He must be killed there is no other option," I said. "Then I will help, if you distract him with small talk, I could hold him with my water sorcery, and you could end him," Umiko said with confidence.

I slightly smiled as I looked to her "I wish it were that easy but he is going to be troublesome to deal with, we must both use extreme caution when engaging him, especially now that he knows of us" I said "Us?" Umiko questioned. "Ayumu caused everyone to get sick, but he also is in charge of their dreams, that's what his mist does," I said, "So if we get caught we'll end up sleeping?" Umiko asked with a confused look. "If he's able to get a hold of you he'll make you see things he wants you to see while he drains you of your life" I replied bluntly "Ah so stay clear of the mist, got it," Umiko said 'That would be a good plan," I said. "Once Ayumu is dead will everyone return to normal?" Lord Hiroshi asked in worry "Yes, and I will work hard to make sure everyone returns to themselves" I replied giving a nod of my head. Relived looks appeared on the Lords' faces as they sighed giving each other hopeful smiles, I smiled "Sensei let's discuss our plans so we can take down this guy and restore the village to its original glorious state" Umiko said with determination.

I looked to her and smiled "I like your enthusiasm but never rush anything planning or fighting" I said she gives a nod of her head "I'm sorry but knowing I can help protect the smiles of the village just makes me want to put things right" Umiko said. "I know, so do I but seeing as I'm a teacher now I need to protect my student and set a good example for you," I said she smiled brightly "What's with that smile?" I asked as I raised a brow losing my smile. "You just seem so mature like your looking out for a kid or a younger sibling," Umiko said I looked away "My younger half-sister would be around your age," I said "Oh?" Umiko puffed I looked to her. "I'll do all I can for you just don't do anything reckless" I said then looked to the lords' and gave a bow of my head "Umiko, and I will take our leave and come up with a plan before setting out, for now, gather your village in one area, stay together" I said. "We will do as you say, but please take care," Lord Kazuki said I looked at him "My father would hate to see anything happen to you, so please be careful," Lord Kazuki said to which I gave a nod of my head "Of course my Lord," I said giving a deep bow.

I got up as Umiko gave a deep bow and then stood up herself "Umiko and I will watch over the village until everyone has gathered together" I said then looked to Umiko "Come on, let's go walk around the outskirts of the village" I said. Umiko gave a nod, and we walked off "Um, sensei what did Lord Kazuki mean about his father and you?" Umiko asked "I'll tell you after we deal with Ayumu, right now let's focus on the villagers safety and finding Ayumu" I replied. "Yes Sensei," Umiko said "Stop with the formalities Umiko, just call me by my name," I said "Ok, thank you Yuzuki, for everything," Umiko said. "We've hardly begun, but I know if we stick together we can accomplish anything," I said as I smiled at her, she smiled back happily, I turned my gaze to the surrounding area, my eyes scanning for Ayumu. A soft sigh escaped my lips as I thought to what I had just said, my brows knitted together, guys… Koga, Ginta, Hakkaku, Inuyasha, Miroku, Kagome, Sango, Shippo, Kirara, I hope I see you again; I miss you all so much.

Thanks for every ones support I shall try to upload every weekend also I am writing a couple stories that will base Hakkaku and Ginta getting mates so don't stress out if they don't get picked for being Yuzuki's mate.

I do have a lot more stories of Ginta getting a mate way more then Hakkaku so if anyone has any ideas of who Hakkaku should get as a mate or even who Ginta should get as a mate please feel free to PM (Private Message) or leave a comment below and I will dedicate the story in your honour!
