The old caretaker watched the strange creatures argue about how they were to locate something named "Tai". He spoke up "Theres an old motorcycle out back if you two are interested. I got the key in a locker somewhere round here."
The girl spoke up, "Yes, I would like the keys." She glanced down at the man. "He will take a cab somewhere." She started to climb the walls of the crater towards the old guy. As she neared the top she slipped, but something caught her and pushed her up and over onto the ledge. "I didn't need the help." She said.
Bruce sighed and said "Look Ani, I'm not taking a cab. Either we both go or you're staying here."
A strange look crossed Ani's face. "Oh, and are you going to make me?" She looked at him for a second before continued, "No, I didn't think so. So go back to HQ and don't get killed. I'm still supposed to be watching you."
Bruce grabbed her and spun her around, placing his face directly in her face. "You're worried about Tai, I get it. But this isn't about you and it isn't about me. What do you think is going to happen? Get to the city and find Tai? Loki is bringing a damn army here, and while you're looking for Tai who's going to help the innocent people, the children walking home, from getting hurt, huh? You may not need me to find her, but they need my help!"
Ani glares back at him, "You know what? The innocent people are not my problem. besides they have you, the good guy. This is not my idea of fun, running to help heros who need it, or coming at Fury's beck and call. That was Tai, so you want to give someone the guilt trip let me go, so I can find the person who cares." She leans up and peaks him on the lips, "Now, good bye."
He smirks, "Good. Then its settled." He walks around her and grabs the keys from the caretaker. Amazed at how the old man could move with such speed. Without a second glance backwards he walks outside and to the back of the building, finds the device and turns it on after sitting on it. He looks up to see Ani glaring at him.
"I don't suppose you did this for me and are now off to find a cab by any chance, are you?" Bruce just shakes his head, "I didn't think so." She walks over to him and pushes him back. so that he is sitting on the back half of the vehicle, "Move over if you're going I'm driving." And gets on in front of him.
He smiles and wraps his arms around her waist to hang on. "Whatever you say. Hey, think of it this way. Now you can still keep that eye on me. Do you know where we are going by chance?"
she revs the engine, "Of course I know where I'm going, do you think I would just take off without a clue? But since you are here, you might as well make yourself useful. where do you think we are going?"
He smirks as her hairs blows into his face. "We have 3 days to get New York before he can open the portal. Thats if we are lucky."
"So 2 days then? Hang on this should be fun." And she speeds up even further.
"Woah!" He yells clinging on tighter. The old caretaker watched as the two sped off into the distance, smiling to himself and shaking his head. "By the way. I'm finishing that kiss later."
She chuckles sending vibration through him, "What you do with other people is none of my business."
"We will see."
"Promises promises."
Lokki growled in frustration, "Do it right this time!" And turns the camera to himself, "Fury. It is the best interest of the world if you agree to my demands. For not only will I bring an army and destroy the major cities, building an empire on their ashes, I will torture one of your own employees. Tell Fury I'm not joking Taisiya…"
The camera spun around onto her, showing her tied to a chair. "Oh am i on? Oh right." She yawned. "Dear Fury. The boy with issues wants something blah blah blah and hes insane blah blah blah… can we do it over? I'm just not feeling this take? NO? oh well. Bye Fury! I'll remember to bring my famous cheesecake to the company bbq!"
He turns off the camera, "Can you stop messing around, and do one good take?"
She blinks at him, letting tears begin to roll down her face. "God Fury you have to save me! He, hes a monster! He brought in a bag of new torture devices! I can't take it! He is going to impregnate me! Oh god!"
He sighs in frustration again. "What was that last part? What was the point of adding that? Just do the first part in front of the camera and I will untie you."
"I just can't lie to you. It was an encrypted code. You would never understand."
"What kind of code? Why wouldn't I understand?"
"I think you are a little young for the birds and the bats lesson hunny."
"You mean birds and the bees, not bats."
"No cuz that would defeat the code if it was bees. Bees are no fun."
He shook his head and decided to ignore her. "Let us try one more time, or there will be consequences."
"Promises promises." She smiled as the camera turned on. "Fury I have some terrible news. I think Loki's trying to make a move on me… he tied me up and hasn't fed me. I think hes into kinky stuff or he just doesn't get it. I can't tell… can you send some chinese food. It may be a long night." She wiggled her eyebrows at Loki.
"Damnit! Is it that hard to do? I think a night tied to this chair with no food might make you more cooperative." And with that he sweeps out of the room.
Tai huffed in annoyance. She inhaled a huge breath of air and let it out in her high pitched echo, breaking the window next to the door to reveal Loki had been watching.
"Was that necessary?" Loki asked raising an eyebrow.
Tai cocked her head to the side with a smile. "Yes. Yes it was. Hope your rooms far away. I don't need sleep. And i don't need food. They are more like a way to pass the time. I've been tortured in far superior ways then this. You have a better plan yet?"
Loki opens the door and walks through. "Are you calling me inferior? I am a god, I am inferior to no one!"
"A, why didn't you use the window? Its open now. B, I said your methods were inferior, not you." She smirked.
He smirks back at her, "So you think I am superior to other people? That is nice to know." And he start to walk out the door.
"No, i think that guy I ripped to shreds was hotter than you. Such a pity too. You know he tied me up for 2 weeks? Yea Ani said that wasn't a pretty place when she got back." She stares off into space remembering.
He continues to walk out the door mumbling to himself.
When he was out of sight Tai flexed her muscles, breaking the rope. Stretching she laid on the ground and closed her eyes. Smirking at the thought of Loki's reaction in the morning.
