Okay! I'm typing this up before I type the chapter up… so yeah. I think I've said that I do that before. Now, back to the kitties and neglecting Vampy. I swear I neglect Vamp way too much. Danny gets more screen- err- story time than she does! I MUST DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS! Well after some shit happens with Danny we'll get back to Vampy because I do have some stuff planned out with her. Going to start adding in more rogues at some point as well.
Dani: How do you manage to neglect the character you were originally going to center this story on? I thought the Danny was a side plot.
Kid: Well she has to give Danny some love somewhere. After all, she likes me more now~
Dani: For a reason :3
Me: Oh right I forgot Dani was a Kid fangirl. ANYWAY! Dani is right. I'll stop neglecting Vampy soon.
Jayfeather: I'm sure that will *not* happen as Vamp never does as she says.
Me: Oh you know what Jay Jay… Oh whatever just disclaim.
Jayfeather: Vamp does not own Warriors. The Erin Hunters do.
Dani: And Butch Hartman owns Danny Phantom.
Kid: Alright now enjoy~
About four days after the arrival of the two cats, things began to return back to normal. Well, mostly normal. At least their friend's return had a positive effect on the clan, much to Snowstar's relief. Now of only all of their other problems could be solved.
Her head turned in the direction of the camp entrance as Redfur, Dewpaw, and Blackfog came through. With them was the dead body of Bluegaze. Many clan members rushed towards them as others looked at each-other with worried expressions. Snowstar made her way to the front and asked "What happened?"
Looking at Snowstar, Redfur said "We found him close to the LavaClan border."
"LavaClan!" Oceanbreeze hissed.
"Their scent wasn't on him" Blackfog stated, looking at the blue tom.
"The scent was actually was kind of similar to the she-cat we had awhile back. Sunset was her name, I think" Redfur said.
Snowstar got a hard look on her face. Sunset was the rogue that had been captured several moons ago, and had managed to escape. "So, the decided to return" she said, before letting out a sigh.
"We'll need to be prepared then, and announce their return at tomorrow's gathering" Darkcloud said.
Danny looked extremely saddened as he looked at the body of his friend. Bluegaze was one of the first cats he'd met that wasn't a total ass to him and Vamp. He decided that he'd start his nightly patrols as Phantom again, in case they decided to invade while the clan cats were asleep.
"I do not want any cats out of camp by themselves" Snowstar said, dragging Danny out of his thoughts. "I will not allow these cats to claim the lives of any more of us. When you are not in camp, keep your guard up, as allowing it to fall is something you can't afford to do."
"We should make them wish that they'd never set paw here!" Yelled the small gray and white mouse known as Speckle as she made her way to Vamp's head. Many cats looked over at her at that statement.
"For once, I agree with the mouse" Darkcloud said. "If any are found, show them we are not to be taken lightly."
"Tonight, we will sit vigil for Bluegaze" Snowstar said. Everyone in the camp, including Speckle, nodded their heads in agreement.
The next day, Bluegaze was buried, and the clan cats acted mostly as they normally would. The main difference was Darkcloud sent out more patrols than before. When it was night and the moon was visible in the sky, Darkcloud gathered a group of cats to take to the gathering. The cats consisted of Sandpath, Oceanbreeze, Crimsonpaw, Redfur, Dewpaw, VampVixen, Blossompool, Quietpaw, and Danny. After all of the cats had gathered up, Snowstar gave the signal that it was time to head out.
It wasn't long before the group arrived at the clearing, where several other cats were already waiting. Vamp was a little bit nervous. She hadn't had the chance to go to a gathering before her abduction, so this would be her first time. Some cats gave her a look as she sat down beside Sandpath. Snowstar jumped up on a large, flat-topped boulder, and took a seat beside Moonstar.
"Well, look who it is" said a brown and black she-cat as she approached Vamp.
"I'm sorry, do I know you?" Vamp asked, looking at her.
"Oh right, I guess you wouldn't recognize me like this" she said and sat down. "I would guess that the name 'Alisha' rings a bell though."
"You bitch!" Vamp hissed and almost attacked the smirking she-cat. She would have done so if Sandpath hadn't stopped her.
"It's a full moon VampVixen" Sandpath reminded her.
"Yeah Vamp" Alisha said. "You wouldn't want to upset StarClan would you? Besides, you should really be thanking me."
"And why the hell should I be thanking you?" Vamp spat. This was the girl who had tricked her and Luna into falling victim to her brother's plot.
"Well, haven't you always wanted to actually be alive? If it weren't for me you wouldn't have that you ungrateful brat."
"Wait, what does that mean?" Sandpath asked in confusion. Before either she-cat was able to answer him, Moonstar called for the gathering to begin. Vamp continued to shoot a hateful glare in Alisha's direction as Moonstar began to speak.
Moonstar told them general things, which meant that her clan hadn't had any trouble from their enemy just yet. After she was done speaking, Moonstar nodded to Snowstar.
At first, Snowstar also mentioned general things, such as the prey running well. Turning her gaze to Vamp, she said "We've also had a cat that had been taken from us by a two-leg a few moons ago come back to us. Her name is VampVixen, the red and black cat sitting beside Sandpath." Snowstar then let out a sigh. "There's also trouble, and I think it might involve your clan as well. The rogues that we thought were gone have come back."
"Thank you for the information Snowstar" Moonstar said as she looked at the white she-cat. You could clearly see the troubled look on her face. Snowstar hadn't meant to scare or upset her, but the warning was important to pass on.
Shortly after Snowstar's announcement, the gathering was called to an end and the cats headed back to their camps. Upon arrival, Sandpath went straight to the warrior's den. Vamp sighed sadly as she looked in his direction, and had a feeling that he'd probably question her tomorrow. She knew that there was no use dwelling on that tonight though. For now, she just decided to go to bed as well, and she too made her way to the warrior's den.
Danny waited for most of the cats to fall asleep before creating a duplicate and running his own little night patrol. To his happiness and relief, everything was alright on both territories. He felt really bad for flying over LavaClan's territory, since he was in IceClan, but they were in danger from the cats as well. When he was done, he returned the duplicate to camp and absorbed it before falling asleep soon after.
In the morning, VampVixen was in the nursery, speaking with her miniature self. Speckle had also decided to include herself in the conversation, and she was sitting beside Mini-Vamp. Sandpath walked up to the trio and asked "VampVixen, can I talk to you alone please?" She knew exactly what this was about.
"Yeah" she said with a sigh, and followed Sandpath into the forest. "This is about last night at the gathering, isn't it?"
"I want to know what Alisha meant when she asked you if wanting to be alive was something you had always wanted, and please don't lie to me" he said, looking at his friend.
"She didn't mean it literally" Vamp lied smoothly. She'd gotten really good at lying since she'd entered the clan. She knew that he had told her not to lie, but could she seriously tell him the truth of what Alisha really meant?
"That doesn't answer my question."
"I know" she replied. "You know how some cats say things like 'I just don't feel alive' as in their life is boring or lame. You know, not exciting and every day drags by and life basically sucks."
"Why did you look mad at her for doing whatever it is she did then?"
"Well, Alisha had led my friend, Luna, and I into a trap. Did I tell you about Luna? I don't think I did. Anyway, her brother tried to kill us."
"Oh I see. I can't believe LavaClan let her in!"
"She probably acted all innocent and tricked them into thinking she wasn't a bad cat" Vamp said with a shrug.
"So that really is what she meant?" Sandpath asked with a suspicious look. He was still two-sided about Vamp's answer.
"What do you want me to say? That I was brought back from the dead? Sandpath, you do know that is basically impossible right?" Logic beats anything, and she knew she'd won this conversation.
"I guess you do make a point" Sandpath replied. "I shouldn't have even asked."
"Don't worry about it." Even though she knew she'd convinced him she was telling the truth before he'd confirmed it, she was really happy that he'd bought the lie. "Well since we're out here, why don't we patrol, or hunt, or something of sorts?"
"We might as well" Sandpath replied with a slightly happy look, his personality popping back to normal, and the two cats headed off into the forest.
Hey I didn't neglect Vamp in this chapter! I also made it longer than it originally was. I always do that when I type it up after writing it up on paper. And I didn't take X amount of months to finish it! Happy February!
