Chapter 9: Revelations!!!

Meanwhile back in Roswell, more of Tess's memories were starting to come back to her. There were some surprises especially regarding Kyle. The sheriff told her almost everything that he knew about her relationship with Kyle. While he made it seem like they had a sibling type of relationship but her memories told her something different. She remembered having sex with Kyle and that wasn't something that brothers and sisters did. She wasn't sure why no one seemed to know about how close they actually were at the time.

She was practically living in Kyle's room at the moment, she missed him but something kept pulling at her. She knew that she was missing a piece of the puzzle that was her life. She kept asking sheriff Valenti to tell her about her life from before but he kept evading her questions.

"I promise you, Tess all will be more clear after I convince Max to come back here. Please just be patient with me."

"I have been patient but I'm afraid that there's this huge piece that I'm not remembering. Please just tell me what you are hiding from me, I can take it?"

He really wanted to but he was afraid because at the moment her powers seemed to be gone but that could change at anytime. He only had to wait it out until he talked to Kyle again later on tonight.

"Please wait until later on tonight after I talk to Kyle."

This immediately changed her outlook on everything.

"Your really going to talk to Kyle tonight? Can I talk to him too?"

It was weird because she seemed to latch onto Kyle like a stalker and it was quite concerning to him.

"I'll see what I can do but I need to know how do you feel about Kyle?"

"What do you mean, my feelings?"

"Well he is the only one that you seem to keep remembering and I'm not sure why that is?"

"I'm not sure why I kept it a secret but I led you to believe something that wasn't true."

"What are you talking about?"

"Me and Kyle were involved sexually. I'm not sure why or for how long but I know that we slept together at least twice in his bedroom. I was upset and crying, he comforted me and it just happened. I don't think that you were home at the time."

"Wait if this is true then how come he never mentioned it to anyone?"

Then it hit him why Kyle didn't ever say anything, she took his memory of the event away from him. If it really ment nothing, less than nothing to either of them, then why wouldn't she want him to remember. The baby, oh wow if there was even a slight chance that Kyle was the father he had to know the truth regardless of the consequences.

"I'm not sure why he never told anyone about us but I told him that it didn't mean anything because me and Max were destined to be together but I lied. I felt so much more in that one night than I ever felt for Max Evans."

Her memories of Max were coming back too but it still felt like someone else's life. Then suddenly she touched her stomach and remembered the baby.

"I had a baby but Max wasn't the father, I remember now. I remember everything now."

She reached out with her hands as if she was searching for something that was long gone.

"My powers are gone, I hope for good because I only hurt people with them. Did Max take my baby with him?"

"I'm not sure if I should tell you anything about Max considering how obsessed you were with him."

"It's fine but just to clear things up, I was never in love with Max Evans, it was always Kyle. I was supposed to want Max and I tried everything to get him to notice me but he kept pushing me away and Kyle was always there. Taking care of me and before I knew it I started caring about him too. It took me by complete surprise but the guy that raised me convinced me to make Kyle forget because he had a plan. It didn't matter how I felt about Kyle, I had to do whatever I could to get home; which obviously didn't work out too well for me. I'm so sorry but I did honesty think that Kyle would be better off without me here."

"Question, you said that Max wasn't the father, was Kyle the father of your baby?"

She looked away in shame and then she merely nodded her head yes.

"I'm sorry but if Nasedo had ever found out about what I'd done he would have hurt Kyle. I had to follow through even after he was killed. I was so hell bent on the mission that I broke my own heart and robbed Kyle of knowing his son. That's why my baby was rejected on our planet because he was too human. I have to find Kyle and make it right. I know that there's so many mistakes that I could never fix or make up for but I have to try. Will you help me still?"

"Yes, I'll still help you because I want my grandson back to know him. I knew that you were obsessed but I generally thought that you at least loved him but you didn't."

"I didn't know how to feel human love not until I met Kyle."

"Are these the last of the lies that you kept from us or are there more lies ahead?"

"No, that's the last of them but please help me to get Kyle to see reason when I tell him about the baby?"

"I'll do my best but you know how Kyle can get at times."

With that they waited for the right time to call Kyle back. Jim told his son it wasn't safe to meet in town but there was still the old abandoned mined just one town over. After sometime he finally convinced Kyle to agree to meet him. They both knew that it was urgent but for different reasons. Jim didn't want to tell his son that he was a father over the phone or about Tess. By the same reasoning Kyle didn't want to tell his dad about Maria over the phone either.

They had agreed to meet in two days at the secret meeting place. Jim had to convince Jesse to come with him; which meant telling him about Tess. They ended the call both unsure about what happens next. Of course Kyle had to convince the pod squad to come with him but that may take some doing on his part anyway. Everyone was on edge and fearful of what came next for both of these groups.
