Ashura was humming. His voice was deep and smooth and wonderful and all that was keeping Fai from braking down at the moment.
It hurt. His back felt like someone was carving into his back. Like they were slowly peeling off layers of his skin and pouring sault over the raw flesh. He wanted to tell him that he couldn't stand to have the seal in place because it had been five hours since the sealing ceremony and it was only feeling worse and worse.
He wanted it everything to stop. He wanted the room to not be so hot, his vision to come back, his body to stop shaking, and the pain to go away. He wanted everything to stop except for the hands that were running though his sweat socked hair, and the deep, deep voice humming an unknown melody.
The king had warned him that it could take a few days before his body except the seal, or that it might take several attempts on different dates because his magic was so strong it could overpower the kings.
Fai hoped not.
Another wave of pain creeped slowly up his back and Fai felt another wave of tears slip down his face. He was laying on his stomach in the middle of his large bed, his head resting on Ashura's lap. The curtains were drawn shut, and he knew without peeling his puffy eyes open that it was completely dark in the room. The king had ordered everyone to stay out of this wing for the next few days unless directly summoned so that no noise would make the blondes migraine worse. It was silent, save for his own whimpering and the kings comforting voice.
He was surprised that it hurt so much, Fai thought that he had been though worse before. Surely starving to death was more painful?
"There, there Fai. It's ok to cry." Ashura's voice was barely above a whisper, barely above the sound of the blonde trying to hold back sobs.
It hurt his head to much to cry.
The king went back to humming.

Yuui was sitting next to Fai. They were in there childhood bedroom playing with toy soldiers as they usual did when there nurse maid was away.
Yuui was winning again.
Moving one of the little men clad in red forward he knocked down a few of his brothers blue minions. "Your still not very good at this Fai… do you want me to help you?"
The younger of the two by three minutes looked at his identical brother. "Please."
"Do you see how there is only three soldiers on this side instead of five?" Fai pointed his small hand at the weakness in his lines.
"Yes."
"Well I moved the other two so they can't help if you attack there. Then I'll lose all three of them." Yuui moved one of the blue soldiers to knock over three of his own. "See?"
Fai looked at the fallen men for a few moments before looking up at his brother. "Yuui… why would you help me if it meant that you were going to lose?"
"Because you're my brother. I don't want my brother to lose." Yuui moved a red soldier to stand out in the open. "I won last time, and the time before that."
"But I don't want you to lose ether… I want you to do good…" Fai moved a blue man to the side.
"…yeah… I don't like this game since one of us ends up losing every time."
"Me ether…" the door to the room opened and a few of the castle guards stepped in holding swords. The nurse maid was standing behind, but moved forward and gripped both of the boy's hands, pulling them to their feet.
The soldier pulled out his sword and took a step closer to the two boys. "it time we do something about the abominations."

He screamed. He sat up as memories of blood flooded his mind. How could he have let them hurt his brother? Fai let his hands tangle in his hair as he drew his knees to his chest and sobbed.
He couldn't remember why his head was pounding, why his back hurt, or when he had fallen asleep. He couldn't remember because he was too upset to think about anything other than why… why hadn't he done something…
Eventually he realized the warm arms that had wrapped around him.
Ashura was by his side. He was in his room. His brother was safe and sound in the sacred pool… right?
The king was humming again, this time running his warm hands up and down Fai's clammy arm as he calmed down. "Wake up nice and slow. You're all right. Your home."
He was always too good to Fai… he always comforted him when he had nightmares even though he was tired. The blonde didn't know where he would be without Ashura…
"I'm sorry." he managed at last. Snuggling closer to the king because for some off reason he was cold.
"Bad dream hm?" Ashura leaned back so that he could see the blonde's puffy eyes squeezed shut.
"Can we go make sure that he's ok?" Fai's voice was horse.
The king didn't answer. Carefully he stood up lifting Fai with him and wrapping the blanket around him before heading towards the sacred pool.
He wasn't to big to be carried anymore, in fact Fai hadn't gotten any taller since he came to live here, but it had been nearly two years since he had been carried by Ashura like this.
It was nice.
Because he still had a horrible headache, Fai kept his eyes shut as they made their way through the hallway, but he could easily hear the whispers from the staff and nobles they passed.
He didn't care though.
It took them a while to ascend all of the stairs to the tower where his brother was sleeping. As soon as the king was standing next to the pure waters he set his little bundle down to stand on his own wobbly legs.
Ashura watched as Fai kept the blanket wrapped around himself and sat next to the water. He peered down into the pool and visibly relaxed. He came and sat next to the blonde who almost instantly leaned against him.
"Do you feel any better now Fai?"
"Yes… but for some reason my back hurts…"
"It will be sore from the sealing ceremony for some time. When were done here you should probably get it wrapped up."
Fai's eyes lit up with remembrance. Shifting, he wiggled out of the blanket and looked at his reflection in the reflective surface of the magical water.
