There was one thing to be said. I was head over heels for Ben. But I was oddly not fine with Eric and Ben meeting. Hell, I didn't even want Godric to meet Ben. I felt like Ben was a whole other level of jealous boyfriend. I mean, we weren't even officially a thing. Nothing really was said if we were together or not. But I got the clear feeling from him that he saw us as together.

He saw me as his. But I wasn't abandoning Eric or Godric because he was insecure. My word should have been good enough. Or so I felt. But it didn't seem enough for him. Plus, I kinda got the feel that he would not be cool with my open flirting. It was second nature to flirt with any and all. Innocent in the form of it all.

We returned that night and I fell asleep on the couch with him. I'm not sure if he slept or not. But it was up there with the best rest I've ever had. Kind of like when I slept with Godric. Though, I kind of missed that cold form to compare to my now warmer one. But he held on to me instead of letting me just rest on him like Godric did.

The next day, Ben slipped out a while before dark. And I was gone just as quickly. Jason had passed out for a small nap. Sook was working and due back just shy of dusk. Niall was about the yard or such. No clue.

Ben was going to be furious. But I knew he wouldn't let me out to just go speak with Eric. Hell, he would have demanded to come along. I couldn't even make a phone call without Ben being there. I knew he'd been through the thing, possibly reading messages. That was a sort of alarm to watch myself. But I could look past it. I really, really liked Ben. Almost to a love him sort of stage.

I know I could be the blame for the behavior. I'm a known flirt. He's seen how people react to me and how I react to them. He sees how my other side acts up from time to time. And I'm still new to that last bit. Maybe it was just a way to assure himself that I wasn't messing around.

But I still had a job. A job I needed and rather liked, loath as I was to admit that.

The music in the bar was loud, dark set a bit ago. Only a few of the closer situated vampires had arrived. Mostly the place had humans in it. Eric paused as he stepped into the main of the bar, only expecting the small trickle of humans and one or two of his kind. Ginger was rushing about behind the bar with Chow.

But the air in the club felt a bit warmer, thicker with a different feel than usual. It didn't help that the music wasn't what had been on the night before. It was a sort of thumping beat one found in most clubs. A pale figure was on the platform with the pole before his stage.

The red dress set off that pale skin and pale nearly white blond hair. Thigh highs with the stripe up the back shorter than the mini dress with the flared skirt. The swirling and dancing was flashing the lace boy short underwear she wore.

There was no mistaking as the female looked up, hair a sexy mess from the dancing.

"Who is that?"

The female at his side was taller than the one on the stage in the stiletto heels that looked to tempt fate. Those eyes flashed deviance before snapping back into the dancing, back to the poll as she slid down. She was pointedly teasing a group before her.

"Nobody you would know."

Ginger rushed up, weaving through people to look up to Eric with a sloppy grin.

"She got here hours ago," Ginger tells him, ignoring his company. "Got a party of college students in. She's been keeping them occupied."

"I thought you said Tuesdays were slow nights," the female at his side counters, eyeing the now crowding bar.

"They are."

"Cept when Fae comes in," Ginger chirps happily. "I get the best tips when she's here. But, she was asking for you. Something about a rush."
Eric looks to the side again. She was sexual dancing still, eyes flicking his way a deal. The female at his side frowned. With all the humans in, if Fae didn't let it out, meaning controlled herself, her stronger scent may blend. Eric tilts his head toward his company, gaze to the pale woman on the stage. She'd gained vampire attention as well now that the sun had set.

"Nora, pardon me. Help yourself at the bar."

He lifts a hand to the air, curling two fingers back in a 'come here' motion. The dancing blond stops, smirking as she moves to the edge of the platform with her hands lofted out to the group there. Two were eager to help her down. She ignored their talking and clearly trying to get her attention, gaze set in a sort of searing path on Eric with that curled smirk still in place. Her hips swished as she moved for him. Nora spared another long look to the small woman before flitting off.

I winked up at him, hand in my hair to pull it from my face as I stood below him by the door to the back. His eyes slid over the strapless mini dress that flattered.

"Like it? Found it today," I call lightly so he'd hear me over the music.

His eyes snapped up to mine, taking in the fully made up face. His gaze flicked about the bar then, searching for something.

"He's not here, Eric," I call with a small laugh. "I slipped out while he was doing something or other."

He quirks a brow. "Oh?"
I slip closer, hand falling to pat his arm. "Yeah. Come on. I've boosted your profit enough. If I come home smelling like this place, he'll flip more than he already will since I left."

"You left? Done with him?"

He followed me toward the back. I grin tauntingly as I twist about to take a number of steps back toward the back exit. There was a pleased smirk there.

"Nah. But he's getting rather invasive. Watch what you text me. Found out he's been reading my texts and things. Really making me feel like he doesn't trust me." I whip around to march out the door, swung open with a flex of my power. "Either way, not why I'm here. He's set against me seeing you all. But, I've information that just can't wait too long. Plus," I glance back, winking as I stop by his Corvette. "I kinda missed yall."

He looked smug, slowly stepping closer in a way that would seduce the pants off of most women. "Is that so? Are you admitting that you missed me, Faelyn Lynwood?"

My hand lifts, pinching the air with a small wince. "Like maybe that much. But Sookie's a downer. Jason's all snippy about wanting to help more while actually doing anything but helping. Then gramps is all…eh. He's set like the rest of the family. Thinks I need to be at home at all times, keeping an eye on Sook and them watching me."

"And Ben?"

"Well," I flip my hair with a playful haughty mood. "Very against me being around others of the opposite sex and starting to wonder if the same sex should be avoided too."

I wiggle fingers at him, tapping my hip lightly on his car. "Come on. Let's get some me and you time. Yeah?"

There was the lewd grin, leaning in to nearly pin me to his car. His large hands rested by my sides on the car, arching down to look at me better with the close space. Even in these heels I was tiny by him. I lightly pat his chest with the back of my hand.

"Stop reminding me how small I am, Eric. Can I drive?"

The slow curve of his smirk remained, eyes flicking between mine. "I'm rather sure I heard you say your boyfriend is jealous. Of me."

I laugh lightly, hand still rested by the back on his chest. He was cool and it was a nice reminder of the cool, even with that shirt between our flesh.

"Come on, Eric. Not the point. I shouldn't be out here. Let's go some place private so we can talk and I can fill you in."

The keys were in my hands, his form pulling away with a sweeping motion. I lit up, eagerly rushing about the car as quick as the heels would let me on the gravel.

"I'll be super careful," I call as I unlock it and we slip in.

He seemed amused with me as I started it, pulling on the buckle out of habit. My hands were reaching for the music, flicking a few things and connecting my phone. The music was put on as the engine purred out. Eric stretched himself out in the passenger seat as best his giant form could. My small hand quickly moved the seat up enough to reach the peddles with my toes, just the way I liked it. Nothing else bothered with.

My head was already lightly bobbing to the song. Gears shifted and I pulled out of the spot with care to those about us. Eric seemed so amused with me behind the wheel. But I knew he could probably tell how excited I really was. He never let me drive.

"How do you put the roof down?" I ask at the edge of the lot, ready to take off.

His arm reached around me, flipping the visor down to pull a lever. He did the same on his side before pressing a button. I looked up with awe, all but bouncing in the seat while twisting about to watch it all fold away.

"That is so cool."

"You're driving, Faelyn."

"Shush, Eric. I've never actually seen the roof go down. I am allowed stupid moments of interest."

I turn to face forward, leaning forward to look around him to check the path was clear. Then I was hitting the gas hard and crying out in joy as we shot to the road. My hair snapped about, his hair dancing in the wind. I was illegally weaving in traffic out of town.

"I doubt this is 'super careful'," Eric speaks up as the song changes to a stronger bassed song that had the car feel like it was vibrating from it. Something about the girl not liking guys her age.

I was mouthing the song, eyes raptly attentive to the path before me. There was a long moment as I just kept focus on the big rig I was coming up on. The blinker came on, and I shot forward. It wasn't anything like the paces Eric put this beast into. Then again, I was being decidedly focused on not passing 85 and the sparse traffic.

"You know, the fun part is I've kept that last few cars in their lanes as I passed."

His eyes snapped over to me from watching us pass the rig that finally merged to our lane behind us. I felt my already slightly faster heartbeat picked up, a bit breathless as I hit the now secluded roads toward Bon Tempts. Adrenaline sang in my veins as I shifted gears and made a turn to head north.

The high beams were flicked on and I let out a laugh. Eric had a half smirk on, watching me enjoy myself.

"You're holding her back."

I scoff, sticking my tongue out at him. "Don't mock me. This is the fanciest thing I've ever been behind the wheel of."

"Scoot the seat back."

I did so, after a quirked look at him. The seat slid back as far as it would go. I lifted my rear, confused as I used my power to press at the gas still. The skirt was flapping a bit now. But there were legs suddenly around mine, form snapping up in alarm as his hands took the wheel.

I was perched on his lap now, looking oddly at him as he easily looked around me and pushed the car faster.

"Eric, you really should-"

I cut off, letting out a screaming sort of laugh in a startled excitement. He'd banked a corner hard and fast, door and his arm like a bar behind me keeping me from toppling out. I was laughing, lips parted as I really felt breathless with the adrenaline then.

"What was that?" Eric cockily asks, calm with this.

I laugh harder, shifting a bit more to lift higher. My rear rested on the door a moment, one hand on his shoulder as the other grasped the frame of the windshield. I was attempting to balance between his legs in these heels while the car flew down the road.

The skirt flapped hard, no care as it flashed all, eyes shut and head lifted toward the harsh wind beating at me. And it all fell away. This was the sort of moments I loved. This was the sort of moment I had from time to time with Eric. Just us. Just existing to the fullest. I looked back at him, hair snapping about wildly. A huge smile was aimed to him, fully trusting that he wouldn't let me fall out or get hurt. He looked up at me, seeming taken for a moment by the honest smile that he'd seen aimed to Sook, Jason and even Godric.

Ben was handsome in his own way. Handsome in a 'home boy' fashion. Like the man you'd love to take home to mom and start a family with. Eric. Eric was the dangerous sort girls dreamed of. Clearly physically fit as well as the thrill that he was dangerous in every way.

Something was on the wind. My head snapped around, fighting off the change as I felt the burst of furious heat. Glowing eyes were there a moment in the dark, looking back. Not the other fellow. I gave a lopsided grin, hand lifting from the dash to wave playfully as we snapped by the person.

"Who are you waving at?"

"I'll tell you in a bit," I call over the wind with a laugh, head turning back to face the wind. "Go to some place secluded."
